Some Middle-Eastern customers may have rather special whishes for their Lamborghini,
if money is no object why not have your LM002 turned into a limousine, and while
your modifying it, why not go all the way and have a custom made six-wheel drive
system designed and installed on it. It is actually possible to have this type of vehicle built, Franco Sbarro did is before with his 'WindHawk' series, a special six-wheel driven all-terrain vehicle based on Ford parts at that time, so building one based on the massive LM002 Lamborghini wouldn't be that hard if you can spend some money on it. Aside from the obvious six wheels and the lengthened chassis, this special LM also features chrome side steps and front and rear bumpers, on the big chromed front bars four high-beam yellow lights were added, it is very dark in the desert at night you know. In this form, the rear compartment features four seats in a face to face setup, naturally the obvious TV and video system are present together with a satellite phone system, a cellular in the desert is quite useless. To keep in touch with the outside world, a portable computer with an internet connection is installed together with a wireless fax machine, so the passenger can still run his day to day business while on the move. To gain some autonomy while dune hopping in style, it was decided to install a second fuel tank to hold another 290 Liter, bringing the total to nearly 600 Liter of fuel, enough to give an action radius of about 200 Km. |
