The Countach SS is a one-of-a-kind Lamborghini, modified by Al Mardikian.
He had the bodywork altered by Giacabone's Executive Coachcraft to incorporate a targa-style
removable hard-top. He personally reworked the engine, which he states to have increased the

displacement to 4.4 Litres, and also reworked the top end with Lamborghini parts, increasing
horsepower to 510 Bhp at 8000 rpm and torque to 325 Lbs.Ft. at 5500 rpm.
All this results in a top speed of 2O5 mph (or 330 Km/h.), for which you had to pay $ 205,000
back in 1980. For this kind of money, Mardikian would built you an exact replica of his
personal Countach SS.
It is impossible however to just cut the roof away in this kind of car, the tubular frame
has to be strengthened and the suspension has to be modified to retain the excellent original
handling qualities. All of which was done on the original car by Trend.
At this time it unknown just how many replica's Mardikian has built, but finding one will
be a though job, and probably a very expensive one too !
Mardikian will still built you a brand new twin-turbo charged Diablo, if you can afford
the speeding tickets of course
