The Lamborghini Islero 400 GT against it's competition.

The brand new Islero in 1968 had some big rivals to compete with, starting with the limited built AC 428 Coupe and the handbuilt Aston Martin DBS. On the other hand the US-built Chevrolet Corvette was still a direct rival on the important US market. As always the Ferrari 330 GTC was still there, while the Jaguar E-Type II and the Maserati Mistral 4000 were considered an important threath to the powerfull Islero. Two other cars could be considered to be a problem for the Islero, but the Iso Grifo GL and the Monteverdi 375 S were only built in so little numbers that they never really posed any problems.
