1979 Lamborghini Countach Cannonball Run

RM Auctions is offering this very special 1979 Lamborghini Countach on their Collector Cars of Florida event in Ft. Lauderdale on February 6 to 8 2009, what makes it so extremely interesting is the fact this car was used on one of the Cannonball Run movies.

Chassisnumber 1121112 was used in the movie when it was driven by Adrienne Barbeau and Tara Buckman, when the film was finished it was bought by the current owner who used it for several Hawaiian Tropic ads. One of the very special features on this car is the large front wing, similar in design to the massive rear wing, it is complemented by two lamps to supply additional light when driving at night.

This black Countach was ordered with a dark red leather upholstery, which is still in very decent shape after more than 25 years, also note that is has been fully serviced and still boasts the original, high gloss, black paint.

However when we take another look at the exterior we encounter no less than 12 exhaust pipes at the rear, underneath yet another spoiler that actually doubles a thin, rear bumper with a tall antenna mounted.
