Our premium SELECTION for November/October The Lamborghini Murciélago LP640
The Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 has possibly been pushed from the throne at Sant'Agata by the new Reventón, but you must admit that the current production flagship is still a
beautiful looking super car.
The Murciélago LP640 was introduced back in March 2006 when it took over from the original 6.2 liter model, and it was able to boost sales at Sant'Agata even further up, the waiting
list on these V12 exotics is still over 12 months, and there is no sign that this will shorten any time soon, both the Coupé and the Roadster are still selling nicely.
When looking at this example, finished in the popular white shade over a combination of black and white interior and standing on high gloss black wheels, you immediately understand
why this model is selling so well, it just looks great from any angle, and it drives even better.
The LP640 is a brutal car, but still it remains relatively easy to drive, especially with the optional e-Gear transmission which allows gearchange by using the levers behind the steering
wheel, add a rear view camera system and even parking your Lamborghini is easier than ever.
There are stories going around the internet stating the Murciélago could be replaced by a new model any time soon, but personally I think the LP640 will still remain in production
for at least a few years, and if there is going to be a new model I think it will be a full Carbon Fiber one, as lightweight as possible, so not only the bodywork will be made of
Carbon Fiber, but also the chassis ... something like a Murciélago Superleggera would be nice too however ... maybe Geneva 2008 will give us a glimpse of the future, or the present ?
