The Lamborghini Countach LP500 S against it's competition.
By 1982 the Countach was back, with a 5-Litre engine it could finally life up to the looks, but others were still trying to get a piece of the action, the handbuilt
Aston Martin Vantage was still considered a very potent rival.
But real competitors were the de Tomaso Pantera GTS and the new Ferrari TestaRossa.
The above cars are production cars, but a few limited edition cars also tried to rival the Countach LP5000 S, the Isdera Imperator 108i and the Porsche 959.
But even Ferrari came up with a special limited edition car in this period, the 288 GTO which was more a race car than a road car wasn't even allowed to be sold
in the U.S.
The custom built Sbarro Challenge is a true exotic, but built only 6 times, one couldn't even call it a limited edition car.
