The 1999 Lamborghini Diablo SV against it's competition.
The Diablo SV version is a fantastic car to drive, believe me, but on this
rear-wheel drive high-speed machines, the competition is hard, every respectable
carbuilder has his high-powered car.
Like the Chevrolet Corvette based Callaway C12
and the limited built American race-car derived Dodge Viper GTS-R
On a completely different level you should compare this SV to the Ferrari 550 Maranello
and the Isdera Commendatore 112i which is built in too limited
numbers to be named a production car. In this same exotic car showroom, one could find the
Honda NSX and the Lotus Esprit V-8
which happens to be a great looking car for the money.
Two other cars built in the United Kingdom can be considered as rivals to the Diablo SV, the
TVR Cerbera and the Marcos LM600 although
again these two cars aren't mass-produced.
Several cars with their origins in racing can be seen as rivals, the McLaren F1 GT and
even the Mercedes CLK GTR Streetversion.
But the other German company didn't wait too long, the Porsche GT1 Strasseversion is
a very big oponent in this area.
