We’ve seen many Lamborghini concept designs from all over the world already, but once in a while something special catches our eye … like this Revolución, a concept made by ReiForge based in Malaysia for an electric powered Lamborghini.

Now that already has been done you might say, check out the Countach EV from Flavio Adriani we’ve published a while ago which also used electric engines, four to be exact, to send power to the wheels … and this Revolución does the same thing … and if you think about it, it might make sense actually.

For one all car builders have to lower their overall CO2 emission, Aston Martin pulled the small Cygnet from their sleeve for exactly the same reason I was told, and you have admit that even with some serious steps in the right direction, the current Lamborghini models aren’t the most ‘green’ on the road, so adding a Hybrid or even a completely electric powered model wouldn’t be so far-fetched as it sounds.

But let’s keep our feet on the ground here, this is only a concept dreamed up by a talented designer, nothing official from the Centro Stile Lamborghini, and somehow I don’t think the people at Sant’Agata are even considering something with the looks of a Sci-Fi dune buggy … still it looks really aggressive nonetheless.

This Lamborghini Revolución has the wheels mounted at the outer extremities of the car, covered by small fenders up front that barely hide the wide Proxes tires on some of the most amazing looking rims, which do remind me of a design Sbarro made years ago. Despite the buggy look we do have a deep front spoiler, which would be ruined on your first off road trip, still we recognize the angular styling seen on the Reventon and the Aventador.

At the side we see a small door with horizontal fins that opens onto a very simple interior, perfect for a car intended to have some fun with over the weekend, at the rear the typical Y-shape in the taillights has been created using individual LED … again just like on the limited edition Reventon.

Still this is only a 3D render, but you have to admit it looks like a lot of fun, and remember these electric cars can pack a serious punch for red light racing, sure they don’t usually have a high top speed and they could be limited in the distance they can cover … but one day the technology will be available to make smaller batteries that hold more power … one day …
