Automobili Lamborghini SpA is looking to create two new monuments that highlight the entry into Sant'Agata Bolognese in an effort to create a new identity for the town area where this famous factory is located ... the Lamborghini philosophy of vision and cutting edge style will have to be portrayed by these 'Lamborghini Road Monument'.
To make sure these new monuments make a mark on contemporary architecture Lamborghini has launched an international architectural contest together with YAC, Young Architects Competitions, sponsored by the Emilia-Romagna Region, the Metropolitan City of Bologna, the municipality of Sant'Agata Bolognese, the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna and Unindustria Bologna.
The entries into this competition will be judged by an international jury consisting of 4 leading, famous architectural names: Zaha Hadid Architects, Studio Fabio Novembre, Studio Libeskind and Foster + Partners, together with Francesco Dal Co, Editor of "Casabella"; Giuseppe Cappochin, President of the Italian Professional Association of Architects; Annalisa Trentin from the University of Bologna; and Stefano Domenicali, Chief Executive Officer of Automobili Lamborghini.
Naturally there are a few requirements for entering this competition, the use of materials that are non-polluting and environmentally sustainable with an ethical responsibility as pursued by Automobili Lamborghini SpA while respecting the local area.
