The Lamborghini Revuelto marks a new era for the iconic Italian automaker, blending its legendary V12 power with cutting-edge hybrid technology for the first time. As the successor to the legendary normally aspirated Aventador, the Revuelto finally adopts hybrid technology to cross the 1,000-horsepower mark. With its aggressive design, featuring Y-shaped headlights and taillights, massive side fins, and unmistakable scissor doors, the Revuelto is moving away from the smooth Diablo/Aventador design, which was losing its edge against fierce competition from McLaren and Ferrari innovative styles.

The Revuelto’s design is largely influenced by the limited-run Sian, from which it is taking the large Y-shaped headlight signature and sharply sculpted lines. Lamborghini’s head of design describes the Revuelto as “adrenaline made visible,” a lot like the Countach was back in Lamborghini’s glory days.

Performance

2023 lamborghini revuelto

The Lamborghini Revuelto is the brand’s first High-Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV). It features a 6.5-liter V-12 engine that delivers 814 horsepower at 9250 rpm and a maximum torque of 725 Nm (535 lb-ft/73.9 kgm) at 6750 rpm, combined with assistance from three electric motors. The hybrid powertrain provides a total output of 1,001 horsepower. Note the extra 1HP to make sure the car makes MORE than 1,000 horses 😉

As fast as 4 tires can do

Performances are nothing short of impressive, but the numbers are pretty similar to modern days competing supercars, already limited by the law of physics. According to Lamborghini, the Revuelto can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (0 to 100 km/h) in just 2.5 seconds. Additionally, the supercar can reach a top speed in excess of 217 mph (350 km/h). With the help of its front electric motors, the Revuelto can accelerate from 0 to 124 mph in less than 7.0 seconds.

Lamborghini is showing off its very advanced skills when it comes to building (partial) carbon fiber chassis. With a dry weight of 1,772 kg (3,905 lbs), the Revuelto offers the best weight-to-power ratio in Lamborghini’s history at 1.75 kg/CV (metric weight to horsepower).

The Revuelto carbon fiber chassis, called mono fuselage, combines carbon fiber with a bolt-on aluminum subframe situated behind the cockpit, which houses the drivetrain and rear suspension components.

It is still a V12… THANK YOU!

The reason why you would want to buy a Revuelto is still the same idea that Lamborghini’s V12 engines are just something else! And Lamborghini knows that and made sure to keep the raging V12 spirit alive. The hybrid drivetrain combines a brand-new 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine with a racing-style dry sump, which is the lightest and most powerful V12 in Lamborghini’s history.

Three high-density electric motors assist the V12 engine. One electric motor, producing 150 PS and 150 Nm on the rear axle, and two motors, each generating 150 PS and 350 Nm on the front axle.

This setup may actually offer some amazing options to switch from the flip of a button from all-wheel-drive to rear-wheel-drive madness in a flash.

The 1,001 horsepower is making theRevuelto the most powerful Lamborghini ever made and the most powerful plug-in hybrid, surpassing the 986-hp Ferrari SF90 Stradale. So I would not be too eager to switch to the RWD mode if I was a lucky owner!

Hybrid Range

Don’t expect the Revuelto V12 plug-in hybrid powertrain to be fuel efficient, but the car has a 3.8 kWh battery pack allowing travel up to 6.2 miles on an all-electric range, so there is that. No more need to scare the neighbor in the morning when you start the V12 engine 😉

Big and tall interior

2023 lamborghini revuelto interior

The Lamborghini Revuelto interior focuses on the “Feel Like a Pilot” concept, emphasizing simple volumes, symmetry, and a driver-focused approach.

The interior includes three screens cleverly connected to each other. There is an 8.4-inch vertical touchscreen infotainment display, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster for the driver’s cockpit, and a 9.1-inch landscape screen for the passenger. Lamborghini offers 400 paint and 70 interior color options, with a choice of leather and Dinamica microfiber made from recycled polyester.

Embracing the brand’s heritage while paving the way for a new epoch, the exterior design of the Lamborghini Revuelto showcases its distinctive identity. The car’s profile adheres to the iconic central line, while sharp contours and smooth negative curves craft a futuristic form, positioning the Revuelto firmly among the latest generation of Lamborghini supercars. With its characteristic wedge-like profile and a sleek, low nose, the exterior leaves no doubt that this is a true Lamborghini.
