And when you see the Gallardo, you also know why. 520 hp is at work inside this attractive and, most importantly, airflow-optimized body. For owners, who think it leaves not enough impression on its beholders, can order the brandnew wide HAMANN body-kit “Victory”, making the Gallardo the ultimate head turner. Various HAMANN power upgrades promise better perfomance.
Wider alternative “Victory”
Already the first impression of the HAMANN Lamborghini Gallardo “Victory” indicates that this is hardly a standard model. The eradicatively changed look which is provided by the new HAMANN-made wide body-kit easily outpaces the series model. The kit goes by the name of “Victory” and represents the newest coup from HAMANN for the Lamborghini Gallardo. The kit consists of a wide body-version front apron characterised by a HAMANN front spoiler and an adjustable Cup racing-spoiler lip. HAMANN fender extensions are mainly responsible for the the beefy appearance. Perfectly matched are also wide body-side sills and a new rear apron. A four part rear wing is working together with a rear diffuser to achieve better downforce values. An air scoop on the roof finally rounds off the racing looks.
Thanks to the comprehensive aerodynamic components, the HAMANN Lamborghini Gallardo makes a clearly sportier, more individual and more exclusive impression.
Wow factor wing doors
With lending the Gallardo a pair of wing doors, HAMANN gives the car a feature that is inextricably linked with the classic Countach and the more recent Diablo and Murciélago models. HAMANN is relying on an inhouse wing door construction to create a stable system without being too flashy. The hinges of the HAMANN wing door conversion can only just be seen, without appearing retrofitted. This ensures that the Gallardo still cuts a fine figure when getting in and out.
As one might expect, such finesse calls for a number of measures. In view of the end result, however, they can be regarded as extremely minimal. To complete the conversion, all that remains to be done is to blend in the paintwork along the hinges and the internal folding of the doors. The conversion is carried out at HAMANN and takes about a week.
The HAMANN wing doors are characterised by the fact that they open upwards at an angle. Drivers who opt for this conversion will never want to be without this wow factor! Needless to say, HAMANN also offers conversions for the Spyder version and older 500 bhp models.
And it wouldn’t be a real HAMANN if the performance was not optimized as well. In case of the Gallardo with 500 hp/ 368 kW, HAMANN gains some additional 40 hp/ 29 kW and 30 Nm of torque through reprogramming the ECU. Top speed rises from 315 to 320 km/h. In an analogous manner, HAMANN teases out additional 30 PS/ 22 kW from the engine of the actual 520 hp-Gallardo. A plus of 40 Nm torque promises also better performance. Again, top speed is 320 km/h. But there’s another way of getting more horsepower. By using sport steel catalytic converters and two double-pipe sport mufflers with 76 millimeter diameter in a V2A stainless steel design, the performance is increased by a total of 28 hp. At the same time, the maximum torque is increased by 50 Nm as a result of this modification. Custumers who prefer the original tail-pipes, HAMANN offers the possibility to use them with the new sport muffler by providing an adaptor.
Bigger “footgear” in 20 inch
For the wide body-version “Victory” HAMANN recommends a slightly bigger “footgear”. At the front axle wheels sized 9,5Jx20 with tyres 235/30ZR20, at the rear axle 3Jx20 with tyres 325/25ZR20.
All wheel sets – for example with rim design “Edition Race”, HAMANN fits with tyres S1 EVO of its technology partner HANKOOK.
HAMANN equips the Gallardo with racing brakes on the front and rear axle. Each brake system is made up of 2 slitted and ventilated brake discs (380mm in diameter in the front, 34 mm thick / 360 mm in the rear, 32mm thick), 2 red coloured HAMANN fixed brake calipers (8-piston front, 6-piston rear; different colours available) as well as special brake and hand brake pads. Where is the race track?
If desired, HAMANN also performs interior refinements. (Almost) everything is possible. If customers want to follow the regular accessories program, they’ll find e.g. precious HAMANN floor mats, an 11-piece interior-set of carbon-fiber components or racing seats which promise better lateral support.
