I’m usually a big fan of 3D rendered Lamborghini models that don’t exist in real life, I love how some artists manage to bring something to life in their minds and put it together as a 3D model, this amazing looking Lamborghini Huracan based Gundam GP-01 is no different, imagined as a Mobile Suit RX-78-2 by Charlie Automotive, this would really look nice on the road too.

Now keep in mind this is only a virtual 3D render, but if you look closely and start thinking about it, this might not be so far fetched that it wouldn’t be possible to actually build it on a real Lamborghini and take it onto the road, we’ve seen stranger things drive on the streets of Japan already.

At the front, the bumper has been highly modified, now with integrated LED lights, both uncovered and behind yellow lenses, with triangular shaped lights in the lower bumper next to a massive, blue air intake, naturally the front hood shows a Sesto Elemento inspired air vent setup and what looks like track derived quick release latches, naturally the width of the car has been increased considerably both at the front and at the rear … but if you take a closer look you’ll notice Sian inspired, black (or carbon fiber) vents on top of all four fenders, very nice.

The wheels on the other hand show a hexagon pattern that reminds me of the ones used on the Lambo V12 Vision Gran Turismo with the six holes, the rear ones on this Gundam GP-01 do feature a deep lip which I really like. Also the lower rear diffuser, with that vertical red light immediately brought back the V12 Vision rear into mind, but here Charlie went for a quad setup of hexagon exhaust pipes, absolutely stunning.

Also note the rear of this Gundam GP-01 is very open in design, you can clearly see a lot of the massively wide rear tires on this car, but also what seems to be a pair of exposed turbochargers, on the outer extremities of the rear section a pair of near vertical fins rise up for stability at speed, while in the middle we find a rear wing that takes the EVO style of the current Huracan to the next level.

What I also like on this Gundam GP-01 concept is the design of the side windows … look closer and you’ll recognize this as an evolution of the Countach side windows, just like the ones used on the Diablo SE30, naturally the use of rearview cameras instead of mirrors is mandatory on this concept.

All in all, I’m a fan, and I don’t see it as impossible to actually come really close to this 3D render in real life, all we need is a brave owner of a Lamborghini Huracan to convince a builder to create this bespoke design for him.
