Squadra Corse's 2019 Factory Roster: Six Drivers Built for the Huracán GT3 EVO Era

Four returning champions and two strategic new signings framed Lamborghini's most ambitious GT racing season yet.

Lamborghini Squadra Corse confirmed its six factory drivers for 2019 just weeks after unveiling the Huracán GT3 EVO at the Nürburgring on September 15th, tying the driver reveal directly to the car's competitive debut.

Championship DNA retained

Mirko Bortolotti, Andrea Caldarelli, Marco Mapelli, and Giovanni Venturini returned as the roster's backbone, bringing institutional knowledge of the car, established engineering relationships, and the trust that lets a team push harder in development testing.

Keen and Perera expand the map

Phil Keen brought front-running British GT experience and two wins with the Barwell Motorsport Huracán GT3, while Franck Perera added endurance credibility with a 2018 Daytona 24 Hours victory, extending the roster's geographic and competitive reach in exactly the directions the brand needed.

Race car meets road car narrative

The Huracán GT3 EVO's naturally aspirated V10 gave the car a distinctive powerband and throttle response that drivers consistently praised, while providing Lamborghini with a marketing narrative connecting the race car directly to the road car lineup.

The junior pipeline behind the headlines

Raffaele Giammaria was confirmed as test driver and coordinator of the Young Driver and GT3 Junior Programs, a pipeline that channeled Super Trofeo talent toward factory status and eventually produced Dennis Lind as its first full factory promotion.

A program beyond its startup phase

Four years after establishing its initial factory roster in 2015, Squadra Corse had built a six-driver operation with a functioning junior pipeline, a new-generation race car, and global championship coverage that put it in direct competition with GT racing's established powerhouses.
