Only a few days after the official unveil at the 2013 Sema show in Las Vegas we received photos of a magnificent looking matte grey Lamborghini Aventador with a complete PUR Aero kit (the styling division of PUR) and rolling on these beautiful RS05 wheels … the overall package looked really, really good I have to admit.

Now we can show you the PUR RS05 wheel on a bright white Lamborghini Gallardo … and not just any Gallardo, this is in fact the 2013 edition of the LP560-4 … you know, the one with the new, triangular styling used for the front bumper and rear fascia … you either love it or hate it … at first glance you might wonder how you feel about it, but this design does grow on you, and I have to say this one looks hot.

SR Auto Group created this white Bull, opting for a high gloss chrome finish on the RS05 PUR Wheels, 8.5×20 inch up front and 11×20 inch at the rear, looking at the photos it looks like the suspension was lowered a bit too, especially at the front where the tire is nearly touching the fender … also note the contrasting, orange painted brake calipers visible behind these wheels.

At the rear we find a very aggressive, race inspired rear wing in clear carbon fiber … it looks like a Murciélago Super Veloce rear wing with vertical fins added on either side … on the side of this Gallardo we found a TriColore stripe design that reminds us of the final Gallardo evolution made, the LP570-4 Squadra Corse.

Upon closer inspection we also found a purely cosmetic decal on the front hood … they look like the air vents first seen on the Sesto Elemento and later used for the 2013 specs Blancpain Super Trofeo race car … in fact IMS Automotive Design offers a replacement front hood that shows carbon sections here, but in this case it looks like the owner settled for a black decal only … still looks nice however.

I based the Aventador Egoist concept on the fact that PUR Wheels unveiled a brand new RS05 lightweight monoblock wheel at the SEMA show … with the angular design it reminded me of the wheels used on the Lamborghini Egoista … hence my Aventador Egoist Concept … after talking with PUR Wheels they even confirmed a ‘carbon fiber fin’ would be available as an option later on which would make the RS05 look even more like the Egoista wheels.

Remember PUR Wheels has recently confirmed they will also be creating styling kits for the high end exotics they provide wheels for … PUR Aero was created and the first items available for the Lamborghini Aventador were presented in September 2013 … a deep front spoiler lip, a rear deck lid and a high riding rear wing were first to be unveiled.

Now PUR Aero proudly presents the first Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 with their complete kit, made from 2×2 carbon fiber and finished in a high gloss clear top coat PUR Aero now consists of a very nice front bumper lip, side sills, lower rear diffuser, a replacement for the original Aventador rear wing and a new rear wing standing on some amazing struts.

The entire PUR Aero kit has been mounted on a matte grey Aventador … a shade that look like the new Grigio Titans paint available from Automobili Lamborghini SpA. Add bright orange brake calipers behind the brand new RS05 wheels finished in Gloss Anthracite and you have a breathtaking combination.

Naturally these wheels come in the slightly larger than standard 9×20 and 12.5×21 inch size (the Aventador Iperione wheels are 19 inch up front and 20 at the rear, however the optional Dione wheels available from the factory are also 20 and 21 inch respectively) … note PUR Wheels has 22 inch tall versions of these RS05 available too.

The touch of orange seen on the brake calipers is continued inside this matte grey Aventador with a Bicolor Sportivo interior using Arancio Dryope and Nero Ade … a by now classic, but still very nice looking combination.

So bottom line … it might not look as intimidating as the Aventador Egoist Concept, but you have to admit the combination of matte grey, dark wheels, bright orange details and a subtle styling kit works extremely well together in this case … this Aventador by PUR Aero looks absolutely awesome.

This Grigio Telesto Lamborghini on amazing looking PUR 6IX Monoblock Rose Gold wheels (13×20 inch at the back by the way) had me puzzled for a second too … I immediately noticed it wasn’t an LP670-4 Super Veloce for the simple fact it was a Roadster. Now I did create an LP670-4 Super Veloce Roadster … in 1/18 scale, but as far as I know this never made it into real life production, not even a one off.

Then I noticed the orange details … and the description on the front bumper … this looks like a limited edition Lamborghini Murciélago LP650-4 Roadster, the final production of this topless V12 flagship of which only 50 have been built, hence a very rare car indeed … but some things just didn’t add up after inspecting the photos in detail.

The orange painted sections look a bit too ‘Rose Gold’ to me, now that could be the post processing of the photos, so that wouldn’t be definite proof … but something else is: the engine cover. In fact the LP650-4 left the factory with the otherwise optional glass engine cover and this car has the regular, older Roadster engine cover.

Also there should be an LP650-4 script on the adjustable air intakes next to the engine cover too, and more importantly a lot of orange details in the interior … and this car doesn’t show any of these … instead I notice a large SV decal on the driver side … while on the passenger side this decal looks to be mirrored in fact … rather strange.

Still the overall impression with the very special shade of gold finished wheels from PUR is very good, sure it is different, but I for one prefer Rose Gold wheels over the bright green or red anodized shades that pop up lately … so yes this is another attention grabbing set of wheels on a car that really doesn’t need any help to draw attention to it … but still it looks nice, and that matters to people that take the tuning route on their Raging Bull.

But your Gallardo still performs nicely and you are reluctant to sell it at a loss and pay a serious premium to park a new LP570-4 Superleggera in the garage … so why not update the car you already own and make it look closer to the more recent evolution?

In comes DMC to the rescue, this German based tuner has made a serious name for itself over the last months with their very stylish Aventador Molto Veloce or Stage 1 kit, it immediately distinguishes a factory Aventador with a DMC tuned one without being totally obvious … apart from the rear wing perhaps. And DMC took it to the next level in late 2012 when they released the Aventador Stage 2 kit, also called the SV kit … a lot more aggressive at the front with Aventador J styling and strictly limited … only 10 DMC Aventador SV will be made, and not one of them will be the same shade.

Back to the Gallardo where DMC has their Soho kit available that features a new front bumper in aggressive LP570-4 Superleggera style, new side skirts  and a new lower diffuser at the rear … the entire kit can be ordered either in Kevlar/CFRP or in clear carbon fiber. Optionally DMC can deliver stunning looking clear carbon fiber exterior rear view mirrors that use original mirror glass and motors, an absolutely beautiful clear carbon fiber rear wing in Superleggera style and if you really are serious you can even swap the front hood for a lightweight carbon fiber unit from DMC … the carbon fiber craziness continues with replacement parts for the fins just ahead of the taillights on the early Gallardo, even the section in front of these fins behind the air intake on top of the ‘shoulders’ can get the carbon fiber touch.

The owner of the Lamborghini Gallardo featured on this page installed the basic DMC Soho kit consisting of the front bumper, side skirts and rear diffuser and ordered the optional rear wing too, the car itself got finished in a very nice dark grey matte finish while the entire roof section and rear view mirrors got a matte black finish that might not contrast too highly with the grey, but it still is different enough to get noticed.

Most owner would probably opt for the nice carbon fiber engine cover with the glass section, however this car still has the standard metal slotted cover … at first rolling on very nice glossy black PUR Wheels but now this car received a set of brand new PUR Wheels in the innovative Ten Monoblock design that took some styling cues from the original Aventador wheels, but still looks different … especially in this Davinci Red finish.

The PUR Ten Monoblock wheels in Davinci Red offer an amazing glossy look, almost a red chrome finish, on this car the owner went for 19-inch wheels, the same size as the factory fitment by the way, but from the look on these photos I’m almost certain the suspension is lowered too … this Gallardo looks up to date and contemporary again … despite being ten years old it still turns heads.
