Two wins, two class titles, and a championship decided by fourth-place finishes.
VS Racing's Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 entries won both one-hour races at the Italian GT Championship Sprint Cup finale on October 29, yet the overall title went to BMW on countback.
Edoardo Liberati put the #63 on pole Saturday, Mateo Llarena brought the #19 home for its first win, and Lamborghini swept the entire podium in race one before Michelotto and Liberati stormed from 15th to win race two.
Michelotto and Liberati finished level on points with BMW's Klingmann and Spengler, but a 25-second penalty in race one and a late safety car in race two left the title to be decided by the cruelest margin — BMW's superior count of fourth-place finishes across the full season.
