A mere three months after its launch, RDB unveiled the inaugural widebody kit for this model, compatible with both the Performante and Urus S versions. The outcome is an enlarged, fiercer SUV with a distinctive wrap, new wheels, and many fascinating features. RDB asserts that this kit significantly diverges from its predecessor and requires three months to conceive and construct. The widebody kit boasts a redesigned hood incorporating unique signature Performante hood vents. A novel line design is also integrated into the hood, which deviates from the standard model. Alongside the new hood, the car has an extended front lip that juts forwards and sideways. An abundance of carbon fiber components is present in both the roof and front lip.

Mirroring the front profile, the side profile showcases OEM skirts that are initially composed of carbon fiber. However, RDB went the extra mile by applying additional carbon wraps and replacing the standard side skirts with extended ones.

This exceptional Urus Performante also exhibits an added flare behind the rear wheel bulge, equipped with slits. A wide rear body scoop is merged with the diffuser to form a carbon fiber unit. Another unique feature is a newly designed diffuser. The vehicle also offers an Akrapovic exhaust system straight from the Lamborghini factory. What truly distinguishes this vehicle is the wrap color – a harmonious blend of champagne gold, yellow, and brown. The RDB team maintains that a pearl finish contributes to this distinctive appearance.

This new widebody kit enhances the vehicle aesthetically and boosts its performance. The larger wheels improve road grip, while the whole wrap adds a personal touch, setting this vehicle apart.

2022 Urus Performante: Does It Need a widebody kit?

Lamborghini unveiled the Urus Performante model in August 2022 as a successor to the Urus Super SUV. Despite being nearly 47 kilograms lighter, this updated model delivers an extra 16 horsepower while maintaining the same torque levels as its predecessor. The 2022 Urus Performante employs the same 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine but now boasts an output of 666hp and 627 lb-f of torque (but it hardly makes any difference in real-world performance. In addition to increased power and reduced weight, the new SUV also received numerous design enhancements. The standard vehicle already features plenty of carbon fiber, and a newly introduced exhaust system further enhances its aural character.

The Performante already has a notably large, broad, and muscular presence in line with its competitors. While the widebody kit from RDB LA certainly adds a unique stylistic element, setting it apart from the standard model, it does not necessarily enhance the vehicle’s handling or aerodynamic properties.

Peter Northrop, CEO of 1016 Industries emphasizes the fact that the entire carbon body kit is bolt-on using the original OEM mounting points, with the quality and attention to detail that an owner could expect from the factory, and even the looks could be confused as being factory original.

Both the front and rear fender are widened considerably by 1016 Industries, 3.9 inches (10cm) at the rear and 3.4 inches (8.65cm) at the front, and you’ll just need to add the new side sills and door panels to the kit, complete with the front spoiler and rear diffuser. At the rear, you’ll have not one, but two wings fitted and to really make your Urus look different the special Racing Hood from 1016 Industries is the icing on the cake.

The entire widebody kit from 1016 Industries for the Lamborghini Urus is available in standard material at $30,795 but you really should opt for the Forged Kit that sells at $34,795 the latter one just looks so amazing on this Super SUV.

On the inside you can also have 1016 Industries replace those grey parts on the dashboard, central console, and door panels, with either Carbon Fiber or Forged panels, the standard parts are listed at $7,000 while the Forged parts are only $600 more expensive, but they look so good in the images.

And just in case you don’t really think the 640 hp factory output suits your needs, 1016 Industries offers some power upgrades that don’t void your factory warranty Stage 1 at $3,495 will bring you 780 hp to play with Stage 2 will set you back $4,395 but you will be rewarded with no less than 840 hp, complete with an app to start the engine remotely, log engine data and record your acceleration data or the data from the valet.

Do keep in mind the prices above don’t include any of the stunning looking wheel and tires sets shown on these official photos, you might want to add several thousands more to make your Urus really stand out like this.

I did find some information online you are able to buy one of a limited production run of 50 units of the 1016 Industries Lamborghini Urus with the widebody kit and the Stage 2 engine upgrade for $350,000 and that includes the donor vehicle. And what’s even better you can buy this entire kit right at your local Lamborghini dealer in the United States I’m not sure if this is possible outside of the US.

At the moment the development of a dedicated aero kit for the Lamborghini Huracan Performante is almost finished, a public unveiling is imminent any moment now … but let’s take a look at the currently available Renato kit for the Huracan LP610-4 and Huracan RWD, in either Coupé or Spyder form.

The Renato kit consists of a clear carbon fiber front lip, listed at US $ 5,750, this lip is made from 2×2 vacuum infused pre-preg carbon fiber with a UV blocking clear coating, the design continues the original lines of both the LP610-4 and the RWD (a different version of the front lip is available for either model) while extending further forward by about 3 inches. Using an angle of the lower section, the airflow underneath the body is improved while downforce is increased and the front radiator gets more air directed onto them, with the use of vertical fins on the side cool air is directed into the wheel wells better for better disk brake cooling.

The side skirts are made either from FRP ($6,500), carbon fiber ($7,500) or laminated carbon fiber ($9,200) and follow the original lines of the Huracan once again, only to add a vent just in front of the rear wheels that pushes air onto the rear disk brakes for better cooling and to create a more aggressive style on the side profile of the Huracan.

The massive rear diffuser from 1016 Industries is currently only available for the Huracan LP610-4 model, at $7,350, this pre-preg carbon fiber unit once again looks impressive and effectively extends the profile of the Huracan for better airflow, end plates make sure the Bull remains stable, even at high speeds.

The rear wing made from carbon fiber is listed at $6,795 but comes with very nicely styled vertical struts and a carbon fiber base, the entire structure of this rear wing bolts directly to the frame of the Huracan for ultimate stability. But the best part are the possibilities for the struts … a customer has three options … the standard ones fix the rear wing in place with maximum downforce but a negative effect on top speed. You can also opt for the ‘short profile’ struts which are designed for top speed as the fin is set at a reduced pitch, but this setup still offers stability and downforce.

A more recent addition to the Renato kit from 1016 Industries is the carbon fiber hood … which replaces the standard from hood on the Huracan with a motorsport-derived design showing two air vents (simulated scoops in fact), once again available in either FRP ($6,500), carbon fiber ($7,500) and laminated carbon fiber ($9,200), this custom hood maintains the use of the front luggage space while being lighter than the original unit from Lamborghini.

Just in case you want to have the power to match the looks on your Renato Huracan, 1016 Industries offers a custom ECU and TCU tune that will increase the original power output from 610hp to 640 hp and 448lb-ft of torque … add the custom exhaust system and your Huracan is pushed to 670 hp.
