In early October 2022, this partnership between Bologna’s Marconi Airport and Automobili Lamborghini SpA has not only been renewed but it has been taken a step further by converting Lamborghini’s exhibition space inside the passenger terminal into a full-scale Lamborghini Artimarca boutique, now offering merchandise to accompany the vehicles on display, which is a stunning white and blue finished Lamborghini Huracán STO at the time of writing.

Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini remarked: “This special collaboration continues between our company and Bologna Airport. The relationship that began in 2013 between Lamborghini and Marconi Airport has been extended until 2025. The first development of the renewed partnership is the complete restyling of Lamborghini’s exhibition space located in the main entrance of the terminal’s ground floor. Passengers from all over the world can experience and enjoy Lamborghini, with a car permanently on display alongside fashion accessories for sale, as well as having the opportunity to book factory and museum tours.

The Lamborghini follow-me car, in service since 2013, continues to delight passengers spotting the Huracán EVO as it accompanies ‘planes on the runway. A new livery in yellow and black is an evolution of previous colorways, with a heightened emphasis on the yellow super sports car’s dynamism: a black arrow starts from the front fender and opens completely at the back, where it is accentuated by the Italian Tricolore that splits in two following the lines of the rear fender. The yellow and black, which echo the Lamborghini logo, are also highly visible in all weather conditions.

The most exclusive development is the new Lamborghini Urus VIP Shuttle. The one-of-a-kind personalized service is available by pre-booking the airport’s VIP program YouFirst. Passengers are met by a Lamborghini Urus and dedicated airport VIP staff, both on arrival right as they step off the ‘plane and vice versa on departure, with the Urus transporting them to and from the terminal in utmost luxury.

Yes, you are reading it correctly, the Lamborghini Huracán EVO Minotauro is a fingerpainted canvas, using a man’s figure on both sides of the car, while the front hood shows two clenched fists, reminiscent of the Bull’s horns, as an homage to the fusion between man, the Raging Bull logo, and the myth.

“It was inspiring to meet Paolo Troilo and his artistic expressiveness. In our company we are accustomed to art and the way it has always influenced our cars,” commented Christian Mastro, Marketing Director at Automobili Lamborghini. “However, when our product and the emotions it brings come together with the sensibilities of an artist like Troilo, something different and exceptionally unique like ‘Minotauro’ is created, and we are very proud of this.”

This unique Lamborghini Huracán EVO painted by Paolo Troilo was shown, accompanied by some of the artist’s other works, at Palazzo Serbelloni at Corso Venezia, 16 in Milan, as part of the “TROILO-MILANO SOLO ANDATA” (TROILO-MILAN ONE WAY) exhibition, curated by Luca Beatrice, from November 4 to November 13.

“Time. I am enamoured with the idea of slowness, and I have always championed it as a key to pleasure, culture, beauty and success. But there are some encounters that change you,” explained Paolo Troilo, creator of the work. “Seeing the Lamborghini Huracán EVO and trying it out suggested to me that there are also things capable of releasing the same energy with acceleration, with speed, with momentum. I heard the sound of the wind picking up as the space narrowed and time distorted: I felt a flowing wind and used it to paint on the muse itself, the inspiration of these emotions: the Huracán, my Minotauro.”

It started in 2015 already, when Lamborghini created a special series for the Chinese market, called the Huracán Zhong, limited to 50 units, and only available in either yellow or red, these were sold at the time for 3,500,000 Yuan (about US$550,000), but it seems this was only the start, as only a year later we got the first factory limited edition that was available worldwide, the Huracán LP610-4 Avio.

This time production was limited at 250 units, and I have to admit one of the bespoke colors for the Avio looked rather nice, Blu Grifo, the other shades available for this series were Grigio Falco (glossy dark grey), Grigio Nibbio (matte light grey), Grigio Vulcano (matte grey) and the very special Verde Turbine (matte green), a selection of ‘livery’ contrast colors were available, either white, grey or bright orange. Other than some special treatment on the interior, the L63 logo, and contrast stripes, this was still a regular LP610-4 model.

The ‘mid-life’ facelift for the successful Lamborghini Huracán came in the form of the ‘EVO’ and subsequently the ‘EVO RWD’, and once again we got a new ‘special edition’ not too far behind the initial release, called the ‘Fluo Capsule‘, not limited nor numbered this time, the Fluo Capsule is a pack from Ad Personam that offers some really special, matt shades with one thing in common … it looks like they emit light in the dark.

For the exterior, you could opt for Giallo Clarus, a matt yellow, Verde Shock, which is a matt green paint, Celeste Fedra is a blue shade that looks really special, or opt for one of the two different orange shades, Arancio Livrea and Arancio Dac … all five shades available on the Huracán EVO Fluo Capsule were rather bright, to counteract that, they were all combined with a full-black interior.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Lamborghini Mexico, the local distributor, Grand Chelem, commissioned four special edition Huracán EVO models, only available on the Mexican market, these represent the four key themes in Mexican culture: Vita (Life), Morte (Death), Sogno (Dream) and Tempo (Time). While the first Lamborghini showroom opened in Mexico City in 2010, today there is a second one located in Monterrey in northern Mexico too.

“Mexico has become an influential force for a growing automotive community in Latin America and we’re proud to celebrate this partnership with Grand Chelem,” said Federico Foschini, Automobili Lamborghini Chief Marketing and Sales Officer. “The four special edition models designed with the brand’s Ad Personam program present the endless possibilities available to clients when configuring their own Lamborghini vehicle.”

A look at the four different ‘themes’ for the Lamborghini Huracán EVO Mexico Edition:

Edición Vita (Life)

This will be the flagship version, using a combination of Verde Ermes and Oro Elios on the outside to represent life and nature, Oro Elios is as we know a special shade created to symbolize the sunrise, and gold accents are also used on the interior for trim and stitching. The firewall between the seats inside the Vita Edition shows an eagle, to celebrate freedom and the successes in life, and perpetuated in a motif that exalts the national values of Mexico and Italy.

Edición Morte (Death)

On the other side of the spectrum, we have the Morte Edition, symbolized by a skull, this reminds us to prepare for the journey between life and death, finished in Blu Astraeus with Bronzo Serse details for the outside while the interior sees an upholstery in Blu Teia Vintage (blue) and bronze stitching.

Edición Sogno (Dream)

This might very well be the most distinctive edition of the four, Oro Elios is again used for the details, but this time on a Bly Symi body to get a vibrant color scheme to remind us of the mythical-like creatures seen in Mexican folk art, the interior combines black and white upholstery with gold stitching, the symbol between the seats is a two-headed dragon in this case, for our dreams with a mixture of fantasy and reality.

Edición Tempo (Time)

From all four Mexico Editions, this one might look the most intimidating, finished in Nero Nemesis, it does come with a few touches of Bronzo Serse, but it’s a dark, menacing-looking car, especially with an equally dark interior, sure there are bronze details on the inside, this version represents the decade-long partnership between Lamborghini and Mexico, symbolized with a plaque of a snake, representative of the reinvention of oneself by the shedding of skin.

Once these special editions Lamborghini Huracán EVO arrived in Mexico, they will not be confined to a garage or the showroom, instead, these beautiful cars will go on display at some of the more important landmarks in Mexico City for the public to enjoy.

In late 2016 there was another Lamborghini follow-me car driving over the tarmac at the Aeroporto di Bologna, this time a yellow Huracan LP610-4 with a black checkered flag design created by the Centro Stile, on the sides was the skyline of Bologna and the text ‘Welcome to Bologna’. An orange lightbar was installed on the roof next to a large aerial while the black and white leather interior was fitted with additional controls for the various signs that were added to the car to turn her into an official ‘Follow me’ car on the landing and takeoff strips, by January 2017 this one would return to the factory.

And now we discover the 7th Lamborghini follow-me car already for the Bologna airport, this time another Huracán, but in the latest EVO version, not the EVO RWD, but the all-wheel-drive EVO, finished in an amazing Matt Verde Turbine shade with matt Arancione checkered design on the front fenders and a touch of Arancione on the rear fenders, naturally the obligatory orange lightbar on the roof is mounted.

On the side, we find an amazing-looking ‘Follow Me’ script, with the caption ‘in Our Beautiful Country’ complemented by the Italian Tricolore, a communications system has been fitted to keep in constant touch with the airport control tower, and if you look closely at the bottom of the doors, you’ll notice a small tricolor cockade next to the Centro Stile script, which we’ve seen before on the limited edition Huracán Avio a few years ago, which aside from the Blu Grifo we all know, was also available in this same Verde Turbine shade.

There is no indication if this is again a limited-time-only appearance or a more permanent one, but my guess is this seventh iteration of Lamborghini’s follow-me car for the Bologna Airport will be used during the Summer holiday months and be returned to the factory in September 2021 …

Interior & Exterior Design

For the exterior of the Huracán EVO Fluo Capsule, buyers have a range of exciting choices. The matt black roof, wing mirrors, side sill, and rear diffuser are elegantly offset with fluo color lines that complement the body’s special paint. Even the large intakes in the front bumper are presented in black to create a cohesive look.

Five striking shades are available:

• Giallo Clarus: A matt yellow that adds a burst of brightness.
• Verde Shock: A matt green offering a touch of audacity.
• Celeste Fedra: A blue hue that’s truly eye-catching.
• Arancio Livrea and Arancio Dac: Two distinct orange shades that bring a level of brightness to the lineup.

Interior

For the interior, you can optionally go for the new sport seats, or keep the original comfort seats, either in leather or Alcantara in EVO Sportivo finish, and while the entire interior is finished in unicolor black, depending on the exterior color of the Huracán EVO Fluo Capsule you get the embroidered Raging Bull logo on the headrest, the cover over the starter button, and the EVO script on the seat back in the same shade.

Performance

The Lamborghini Huracán EVO Fluo Capsule is a special edition of the Huracán EVO, a mid-engine sports car produced by the Italian manufacturer Lamborghini. The Fluo Capsule was introduced to showcase Lamborghini’s Ad Personam customization program and features unique design elements and vibrant colors to make it stand out from the standard Huracán EVO.

Performance-wise, the Huracán EVO Fluo Capsule shares the same specifications as the regular Huracán EVO. A 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine powers the model that produces 640 horsepower (470 kW) and 443 lb-ft (600 Nm) of torque. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, which sends power to all four wheels via an advanced all-wheel-drive system.

The Huracán EVO Fluo Capsule can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of around 202 mph (325 km/h). It also benefits from Lamborghini’s Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva (ALA) system, which actively adjusts the car’s aerodynamics to optimize downforce and reduce drag for improved performance and handling.

In terms of exterior design, the Fluo Capsule features a matte finish in a choice of five eye-catching colors: Verde Shock, Arancio Livrea, Celeste Fedra, Arancio Dac, and Giallo Clarus. The exterior also has contrasting accents in high-gloss black, including the roof, mirrors, and rear diffuser. Inside, the cabin boasts sport seats with Alcantara upholstery, which can be matched to the exterior color, and Fluo Capsule embroidery on the seats and floor mats.

The Lamborghini Huracán EVO Fluo Capsule is a visually striking and unique version of the Huracán EVO, designed for those who appreciate personalized style and bold colors.

Price

The base price of the Lamborghini Huracan Evo Fluo Capsule is $498,665, which is approximately $39,000 more than the standard Huracan Evo, not including on-road costs. The specific example mentioned was equipped with numerous options that increased the price by a substantial $72,810. Some of these options include a transparent engine cover, carbon-ceramic brakes, a forged composites package, and sports seats, which many consider essential. However, spending $6,480 for Apple CarPlay might be viewed as excessive.

Fluo Capsule: a new collection of bright and bold colors for the V10 super sports car, realized in a matt paint exterior with complementary interior color and trim options.

Inspired by the tradition of vibrant colors that enhance the inimitable lines and shape of Lamborghini models, the Huracán EVO Fluo adopts a striking exterior bicolor scheme that animates the car’s dynamism and underscores its presence on the road. Five exterior and interior configurations in Verde Shock (green), Arancio Livrea (orange), Celeste Fedra (blue), Arancio Dac (orange) and Giallo Clarus (yellow) combine with a matt black roof, front bumper and side skirts.

Details of the matt black components are picked out in the new fluo colors, such as a colored line on the black wing mirrors and vertical colored lines on the rear splitter, lending the car a sporty yet glamorous personality.

In the full-black interior, new sports seats are optional alternatives to the standard comfort seats, in Alcantara or leather unicolor with an EVO sportivo trim. This is a rather modest kit from Novitec, nothing like the massive N-Largo version with the wider wheel arches, or the Novara that featured the higher mounted exhaust long before Lamborghini released their Performante, but it’s safe to say this isn’t the first attempt at changing the looks of the Lamborghini Huracán by Novitec, it’s just a continuation of what they are used to do.

At the front Novitec offers a total of three parts to add to the new EVO style bumper, a central fin mounted horizontally, a pair of extra fins to fit vertically onto the air intakes, and a clear carbon fiber cover that slides over the new Y shaped inset of the EVO’s front bumper … naturally, all parts from Novitec are finished in clear carbon fiber, but can be painted of the customer prefers this.

The front luggage compartment cover can be replaced by a Novitec part the has built-in air ducts that actually mimic the ‘lines’ on the roof of the Huracán, over a pair of covers to put over the top part of the rear-view mirrors we come to the new side sills from Novitec, these actually don’t feature that horizontal fin like the factory original ones, carbon fiber intakes to be fitted behind the side windows complete the look.

For the engine cover, you have two options from Novitec in case of the coupe model, if you have the factory fitted glass panel engine cover you can add a pair of air intakes on the cover, but if you really want to impress you can replace the entire unit with the massive N-Largo engine cover that comes complete with an air intake, this latter cover does require an extra cover for the EVO … note that neither of these will fit on the EVO Spyder version.

To complete the aerodynamic parts from Novitec for the Huracán EVO we can replace the factory original diffuser (available in black, gloss black or body color) with the clear carbon fiber Novitec part, but probably the most impressive item for the rear is that stunning rear wing, I really love the ‘hanging’ style of the struts on this piece.

Wheels are a very personal thing to add to a car, just to offer a choice Novitec has two designs available, either the NL1 Forged one which is a multi-piece version of the double five-spoke design, and uses the original bolt-on method. But if you really want to go all the way you can opt for the NL4 Forged wheel made by Vossen with a central-locking bolt … just note that if you didn’t order the Huracán EVO with the optional Loge Forged wheel from the factory, you’ll have to get the Novitec Central Locking Kit to be able to fit the NL4 units.

All Novitec wheels come in 9×20 on the front axle and 12.5×21 on the rear axle, fitted with Pirelli P-Zero high-performance tires in 245/60ZR20 and 325/25ZR21 respectively, you can even add 11mm spacers behind each wheel to increase the original track by 22mm on each axle, and just in case you really want to scrape that expensive front bumper, a 35mm lowering setup is available from Novitec in the form of a Sport Spring set … note it’s a different kit for cars with the Magneto dampers and cars without the Magneto option from the factory.

And while the factory V10 in the Huracán already offers a very nice sound, you can always make it louder with the Novitec exhaust system, available in either stainless steel or the much lighter INCONEL, the latter comes with gold-high-temperature heat protection by the way, and in this case, you just have to add the carbon fiber exhaust tips from Novitec too to complete the CF look on the outside.

Automobili Lamborghini announces the Huracán EVO Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD): a visceral driving machine, delivering 610 hp (449 kW) of power at 8,000 rpm and 560 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm to a lightweight car with rear-wheel drive and dynamic steering for maximum driving fun. Weighing just 1,389 kg, the Huracán EVO RWD has a top speed of 325 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds. Despite its top-figure capabilities, the Huracán EVO RWD is not focused on straight-line speeds or lap records: with a unique new design, the Huracán EVO RWD proclaims its designation as an instinctive driver’s car.

Engineered for driving fun

The V10 engine delivers more than just power to the rear-wheel drive set-up: the sound of the naturally aspirated power plant combines with the specially tuned traction control system to deliver the most emotive, fun-to-drive experience in both dry and wet conditions, and even snow.The new Performance Traction Control System (P-TCS) is calibrated specifically for the rear-wheel drive Huracán EVO, delivering torque even during the phase where the car is realigning following drifting or side-slipping.

Whereas  a  ‘normal’  traction  control  system  delivers  a  sharp  decoupling, waiting for a car to become completely stable before delivering torque again, the P-TCS car delivers torque in advance, avoiding a harsh torque cut and assuring better traction when exiting a corner.
The P-TCS intervention is calibrated according to the Huracán EVO RWD’s driving modes, selected via the steering wheel’s ANIMA button (Adaptive Network Intelligent Management: ‘soul’ in Italian). In STRADA, the P-TCS minimizes rear wheel slippage to ensure stability and safety in all conditions: with a more proactive strategy P-TCS manages torque delivery on low-adhesion surfaces.

In SPORT mode, the P-TCS maximizes the fun-to-drive experience: the rear wheels can slide and skate  during  acceleration,  for  easy  drifting  fun  without  compromising safety. The system recognizes conditions where the angle of oversteer increases rapidly and limits torque delivery to the rear wheels, allowing the driver to perfectly control and stabilize the car.

In CORSA, the P-TCS is calibrated to achieve the rear-wheel slip that optimizes the car’s traction and agility when exiting a corner, allowing the driver to maximize performance. The P-TCS improves smoothness of intervention by 30% compared to the previous Huracán RWD model; improves corner-exit traction by 20% and enhances oversteer by 30%.

The Huracán EVO RWD’s hybrid chassis integrates lightweight aluminum and carbon fiber with an aluminum and thermoplastic resin body, with a total dry weight of 1,389 kg giving a weight-to-power ratio of 2.28 kg/hp. With front/rear weight distribution of 40/60, the Huracán EVO RWD sits on double wishbone suspension with overlapped quadrilaterals and passive shock absorbers. The electro-mechanical, servo-assisted Lamborghini Dynamic Steering (LDS) is tuned specifically for the Huracán EVO RWD, ensuring maximum feedback. The seven-speed dual clutch gearbox ensures the fastest gear changes, with launch control for maximum acceleration from a standing start. The 19″ Kari rims with specially-developed Pirelli P Zero tires are fitted with ventilated and cross-drilled steel brakes. As an option 20″ rims and carbo-ceramic brakes are available.

Fresh design for pure performance

The Huracán EVO RWD continues the V10 Lamborghini’s powerful design with new front and rear features, clearly differentiating it from its Huracán EVO 4WD stablemate.

The Huracán EVO RWD is characterized by a sculpted, purposeful persona, complemented by a new front splitter and vertical fins within the larger, framed front air intakes. The rear bumper in high gloss black incorporates a new diffuser unique to the Huracán EVO RWD.

Inside, the cockpit features a HMI 8.4″ touchscreen in the center console of the car, controlling all aspects of the car’s functions as well as managing full connectivity such as telephone calls, internet access, and including Apple CarPlay.

Both inside and out, Lamborghini’s Ad Personam program provides unsurpassed options for colorand trim personalization, allowing owners of the Huracán EVO RWD to impose their individual style and personality on their new Lamborghini driving machine. In order to emphasize the shape of the car the new color, Giallo Belenus (yellow), has been developed together with a dedicated leather and Alcantara color for the interior trim, matching the new exterior paint.

In designing the Huracán EVO, Lamborghini added a host of new features to the most successful sports car model in its history. NOVITEC offers an exclusive refinement range for owners of the mid-engine sports car who want to make their vehicle even sportier and more individual.
This includes naked-carbon aerodynamic-enhancement components, which were fine-tuned in the wind tunnel. There also are hi-tech forged wheels in a staggered combination with diameters of 20 and 21 inches on the front and rear axle, which were developed for the new EVO in cooperation with American wheel manufacturer Vossen.
NOVITEC sport springs give the car even more dynamic handling.

The NOVITEC designers developed an aerodynamic-enhancement kit that combines spectacular looks and aerodynamic efficiency in an optimal way and accomplishes their goal of adding even more visual thrills to the wedge-shaped design of the sports car from Sant’Agata Bolognese. This also included wind tunnel testing in order to produce even more downforce and optimize the handling stability as a result.

NOVITEC also revises the side view thoroughly. This includes the rocker panels, which give the two-seater an even lower visual stance, the carbon mirror covers, and the air intakes at the rear side windows, which were extended towards the front and optimize the supply of fresh air to the engine bay.

The NOVITEC rear wing visually dominates the rear end of the Huracán EVO. The carbon spoiler produces additional downforce at high speeds, which further improves the handling stability. The NOVITEC rear diffuser is yet another important element of the aerodynamics concept.

The air scoop on the NOVITEC hood reaches roof height and not only results in full-blooded racing looks, but also optimizes the temperatures in the engine bay. A naked-carbon end plate for the rear edge of the hood is additionally available.

Of course, the thrilling NOVITEC design package for the Lamborghini Huracán EVO also includes tailor-made hi-tech wheels produced exclusively for NOVITEC by US manufacturer Vossen. Three different variants are available, which all share two common traits: high-end forging technology and a combination of 20-inch front wheels and rear wheels with a diameter of 21 inches. This puts even more emphasis on the wedge-shaped design of the sports car.

The enclosed photos show the sports car with NOVITEC NL4 forged rims, which are available with a five-lug pattern and in a center lock design, which the factory offers as an option for the Huracán EVO models. Their design featuring six delicate spokes tapering off towards the outer edge of the rim in the shape of a widely spread Y make these wheels seem even larger than they already are in reality. The wide range of colors these hi-tech rims are available in offers customers yet more options.

At the front, all three variants come in size 9Jx20 with 245/30 ZR 20 Pirelli P-Zero high-performance tires. The rear axle runs on tires of size 325/25 ZR 21 mounted on size 12.5Jx21 rims.

Alternatively, NOVITEC also offers three-piece NOVITEC NL1 alloys with five delicate twin-spokes for the Huracán EVO, which are likewise produced using a forging process.

The NOVITEC sport springs, which lower the ride height of the two-seater by about 35 millimeters, are calibrated specifically to the NOVITEC wheel/tire combination. The lower center of gravity also contributes to even more uncompromising handling.

A NOVITEC RACE high-performance exhaust system lets the ten-cylinder engine breathe even more freely. Two different variants are available to choose from: stainless steel with high-temperature thermal insulation or the version made from the even lighter material INCONEL used in Formula 1 racing. The latter has an additional golden layer of thermal insulation, which also is out of the ordinary in terms of appearance. The NOVITEC tail pipes in a combination of carbon and stainless steel enhance the looks of these two exhaust systems and can also be adapted to the production exhaust.
