The first customer has received his Lamborghini Centenario Roadster, delivered to Beverly Hills, California in the Unites States of America, the clear carbon fiber finished 770 hp open top version of the Centenario comes with a base price of €2,000,000 … but as this specific car was ordered as a convertible version of the Coupe shown in Geneva, she boasts the very expensive option of a full, high gloss carbon fiber body combined with the yellow livery.
In total only 20 Centenario (at €1,750,000 each) and 20 Centenario Roadster have been made available to customers, and all 40 have been sold out a long time ago … deliveries of the Coupe have been ongoing, but this is the very first of the 20 Roadster that have been built.
Inside this Roadster we find the stunning looking lightweight carbon fiber sport seats with the special Centenario pattern combining Nero Ade Alcantara with Giallo stitching, the center console boasts the large touchscreen to control audio, navigation and settings on the suspension characteristics and even your mobile phone and browsing the internet … however there is no roof whatsoever on the Centenario Roadster, just like on the Veneno Roadster a few years ago.
Power still comes for the Aventador sourced V12 engine, uprated to 770hp at 8,600 rpm, from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and reaching 300km/h from a standstill after only 23.5 seconds … figures achieved because the Centenario Roadster only weighs 1,570 kg … that is a mere 50 kg more than the Coupé version.
Just like the Centenario Coupe, the Roadster version is a limited edition model to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Ferruccio Lamborghini who founded the company back in 1963, a perfect homage to the person that gave is the most exotic of all supercars for over 50 years now … his legacy continues in these Italian masterpieces for the road.
