The Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversario edition, introduced in 1988, was designed to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Automobili Lamborghini SpA. Initially intended to be a limited edition, it became the best-selling Countach model with 667 units produced before being succeeded by the Diablo in 1990. This model featured significant redesigns and improvements over the previous QuattroValvole (QV) version, including a new front spoiler with extra cooling vents, redesigned rear scoops, and composite materials for various body panels.
The Anniversario’s suspension was modified to accommodate new Pirelli P Zero tires, enhancing stability and safety under the guidance of race driver Sandro Munari. The interior saw upgrades such as wider, electrically adjustable seats, powered windows, and standard air conditioning.
These changes made the Anniversario more comfortable and practical for everyday use than its predecessors. The final Countach Anniversario, finished in silver metallic with a light gray interior, was never sold and was placed in Lamborghini’s official museum. The Countach remains a legendary model that helped sustain Lamborghini, with the Anniversario marking a fitting end to its production run.
