During P Zero Corsa tyre development tests with Pirelli – the Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce presented at the 85th International Motor Show in Geneva last March – has completed the Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit tearing down the wall of the mythical 7-minute.
The Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 Superveloce showed her supremacy on the famous Nürnburgring 22.810 km long Nordschleife (Northern loop) track in Germany, for many year the reference when it comes to exotic and super cars, with a final lap time of 6:59.73 the new fV12 flagship made in Sant’Agata has jumped underneath the magical 7 minutes mark, reaching a top speed of 325 Km/h during the stint.
With an average speed of 177 Km/h the Aventador Superveloce holds the fourth place on the list at this moment (May 16. 2015) with only a 2.73 second gap with the Porsche 918 Spyder that resides on the third spot … considering the first and second place on the chart are taken by a Radical SR8LM (6:48.00) and a Radical SR8 (6:55.00), which let’s face it aren’t really comfortable to drive on a daily basis we should look at this Lamborghini llap time as a stunning achievement … even more so considering the run was done on Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires … which are street legal in fact, not racing slicks.
Also remember the Aventador Superveloce leaves cars like the Gumpert Apollo Sport, Lexus LFA Nurnburgring, Maserati MC12 and the Pagani Zonda F Clubsport behind with this performance … in fact the original Aventador LP700-4 did the same lap in 7:25.00 … so the Superveloce is almost 26 seconds faster on this German track.
