At the time of writing there isn’t a Lamborghini Huracan STS, or Super Trofeo Stradale, but it seems Kato-San solved this problem for the Huracan owners out there with his new LB-Silhouette WORKS Huracan GT aero kit, which takes the widebody conversion Liberty Walk already offers to a completely new level.

Kato-San already had two kits available for the Lamborghini Huracan, the ‘Normal Fenders‘ kit and naturally the ‘Wide body LB Performance‘ kit … but it seems he was asked to take it one step further, so he took a long look at the official factory build Huracan Super Trofeo and designed this new LB-Silhouette WORKS Huracan GT version … which literally transforms the Huracan into a street legal race car.

So if you own a Lamborghini Huracan, and you have between US$40,000 and US$60,000 to spare you can get this new aero kit from Liberty Walk, the cheapest one is made from FRP while the most expensive kit is made from a combination of FRP, CFRP and Dry Carbon. Sounds confusing … perhaps a little overview will explain things:

The LB-Silhouette WORKS Huracan GT kit consists of a front bumper made from FRP, the lower front splitter (either FRP or CFRP), a rear bumper made from FRP, a massive rear diffuser either in FRP or CFRP. Naturally the wide fenders which are made from FRP all the time, the front hood with imitation air vents made from either FRP or CFRP … and then the ‘costly’ items come along, that monstrous rear wing is available in FRP, in CFRP or real dry carbon fiber, just like the new engine cover with the vertical fin, again availale in three different materials.

In case you want to install this amazing LB-Silhouette WORKS Huracan GT kit on a Huracan Coupé model you can opt for a version that offers complete replacements for the rear fenders at a premium of about $5,000 compared to the standard version … do note that this option does not exist for the Huracan Spyder at this moment, in fact the kit for the Huracan Spyder does not include an engine cover, but still costs between US$43,850 and US$59,830.

Do keep in mind the pricetag of about $60,000 is for the kit alone, you’ll have to add the price for fitting this one onto your Huracan, which might take a few hours before you’ll have to get it painted (or wrapped), so that could take a few thousand dollar extra … and then you still have to get a lowered suspension, preferably the $9,500 Airrex air ride kit.

But a wide body conversion like this new LB-Silhouette WORKS Huracan GT really needs a new set of rubber too, very wide and with the correct offset to make sure the wheels fill the wide fenders with the necessary rubber … which could set you back a lot of money too, so complete with fitting, painting and all the other ‘little’ necesities you might be looking at something like $100,000 on top of the value of the Lamborghini Huracan itself … but it does look amazing right?

More info and prices for the individual parts can be found on the official LB-Silhouette WORKS Huracan GT page at Liberty Walk.

Liberty Walk, based in Japan and well-known for their wide fender conversion kits for both the Aventador and Huracan, has just revealed the next step in Lamborghini Huracan tuning … they call it the LB-Silhouette Works Huracan GT and it clearly took a lot of inspiration from the Huracan race cars created by Lamborghini’s own Squadra Corse department.

Both the front and rear fenders of the original Huracan are replaced by massive, angular styles units with air vents at the rear, while the rear fenders are fitted with a large intake, much like the one seen on the Huracan GT3.

The front bumper is also new and combines the ‘fangs’ from the Aventador S with the lower ALA splitter from the Huracan Performante, while that lower splitter ends in two massive, vertical fins on either side … strangely enough, it does look good.

this and many more photos of lamborghinis are available on www. Lambocars. Com

A new front hood with additional vents is part of the entire body kit, add the deep side sills and a massive rear diffuser and you get an overall look that belongs more on the race track than on the open road … but the best is yet to come.

Check out that extremely massive rear wing, two big uprights, and a wide, clear carbon fiber rear wing … drawn towards the roofline by a large vertical fin as seen on the SC18 one-off from Lamborghini, and in case you were wondering, the engine cover is also replaced by Liberty Walk.

As usual the body kit is available in FRP only (for $39,420) or a combination of FRP and dry carbon fiber (for $49,680), but the best option would be a full carbon fiber kit (at $59,940) consisting of a front bumper, front diffuser, rear bumper, rear diffuser, rear wing, wide fenders, and the new front hood … you still have to add the $9,500 AirRex air suspension and a nice set of wheels … but then you’ll end up with probably the most impressive Huracan in the neighborhood.

And just to make you really dream about this LB-Silhouette Works Huracan GT … I created a Spyder version of it, just for fun.

The name DMC stands undoubtedly for the benchmark in Lamborghini refinement. The Germans were first in 2012 to launch an aerodynamic kit for the Aventador, which was quickly followed by Limited Edition just a few months later. Today, we are proud to introduce you to their latest creation, the Edizione-GT “Las Americas”

Can this car be the new reference and beat their own in-house benchmark once more? It likely seems so, but judge for yourself. Developed in partnership with Creative Bespoke USA, Fie Exhaust, and Forgiato Wheels, the car is as nuts as one can imagine.

It’s a continued improvement over DMC’s E-GT, which is a green card for their engineers to make the best products possible, without concerning market boundaries. The minimum principles that DMC starts playing around with, are FIA Regulations!

How much will it set you back? The whole package starts at around 88,880 USD and goes up from there. They say the sky is the Limit, and that seems to work just fine here as well, with options that can quickly reach the 300K USD mark. But then, there are only 3 of these engineering wonders to be made, how ultra-exclusive do you want to be?

The majority of the funds go into the CB engine upgrade, Forgiato wheels, a new Fie exhaust and the DMC Body Kit. The latter one starts off by completely replacing the standard Lamborghini body with newly designed carbon fiber parts: Front and Rear bumper have to go, new ones come in with a swift.

The engine bonnet includes a motor cooling air-scoop, the sides add downforce and F1 canards improve the overall aerodynamics. Until we come to the most prominent part of this kit, the massive GT Wing Spoiler. It can be set into 3 different angles for City, Corsa and Crazy mode.

In the end, you get a car that seems to be out of this world, and honestly spoken – it really looks a bit like a spaceship. DMC’s CEO told us that his design influences come from watching Japanese cartoons when he was a young kid – Captain Future and Gundam in particular. No wonder his creations wear an aggressive and sporty line, especially popular in Asia and the Middle-East.

Honestly, we have never seen so much Carbon fiber on a Lamborghini before, but we guess there’s no such thing as TOO MUCH when it comes to light-weight composites and super-cars, do you agree? The package is completed with a full array of tunnels, flaps and diffusers, all located on the parts mentioned above, truly making the car stand out uniquely in its future home.

That is if you can get one: DMC informs us that the package is a LIMITED EDITION, that can’t be purchased by simply offering money. Potential buyers have to apply before being able to buy: Each of the 3 units is strictly limited to only one (1!) color and/or style, making every one of them unique.

DMC won’t sell the same color twice, so you would either need to change or discuss a special design pattern with the German engineers.

While DMC’s previous engine modifications were achieved through individual intake throttle plates for each of the 12 cylinders, new fuel pumps, fuel lines, modulators and injection nozzles, the LP988 has been subject to a TWIN-TURBO procedure in combination with a reprogrammed ECU.

A set of forged alloy wheels and a new kit of suspensions keep the beat on the road, but let’s not forget that the aero parts were initially developed to cope with the stronger car performance.

It’s worthwhile to mention that DMC guarantees again no visible damage by using their components, the car can be, at any time, be returned to the OEM look, which can be useful. Owners may keep the stock bumpers and they can be put back on the car if needed.

The package is finalized with exclusive interior refinements using Italian fine leathers and carbon finer. Plenty of buttons and trims are available as a small package, a redesigned steering wheel adds on to complete a medium package or the whole interior can be redone for the VIP package.

Small and Medium Projects can be done remotely, but the car needs to be shipped to Germany if a whole interior make-over is requested.

We have just seen the new Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster being officially unveiled at the 2017 IAA Motor Show in Frankfurt, Germany, but we all know this isn’t the final evolution in the Aventador lineup before a successor will take over from the V12 flagship in 2020 … rumor had it the Urus would be shown at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, but Stefano Domenicali, President, and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini SpA confirmed the Urus will be unveiled during a special event at Sant’Agata on December 4, 2017, already … so what will be the highlight of the 2018 Geneva Show?

Most likely a new one-off … Maurizio Reggiani, Director of R&D at Lamborghini has confirmed they are working on another special, limited edition model, that will most likely be unveiled at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show … by that time it will be sold out probably … but that also means the Urus will not take center stage next year in March, and another rumor has it the new V12 flagship will be ready by 2020 already, which makes sense as the Aventador was introduced at the 2011 show in Geneva, so 9 or 10 years later a successor would be required … already known to have internal development number LB634 for the Coupe and LB635 for the Roadster.

But recent spy shots show Lamborghini is working on the final evolution of the current V12 flagship, the Aventador … with the Superveloce name already taken (limited at 600 Coupe and 500 Roadster) the more powerful version of the Aventador S might be called Aventador GT … and it will surely come with four-wheel steering and active aerodynamics … the ALA that has taken the Huracan Performante to a record-breaking time on the famous Nürnburgring in Germany.

Spy shots show both a Coupe and a Roadster with a higher mounted exhaust system … sure they left the original exhaust in place and covered the new one with a massive box … but when processing the images in PhotoShop it is clear there are two round exhausts hiding under that box … just as we’ve seen on the Huracan Performante.

Naturally the final Aventador evolution will come with a different, more aggressive styling, and will take the lessons learned from the Performante with the new ALA, Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva, so special aerodynamics will be found at the front and rear of this new Aventador …

With the V12 successor being ready in 2020 or 2021 at the latest, this only leaves 2019 for the final, limited edition, ultimate evolution of the Aventador to be shown in Geneva …

Lamborghini 350 GT celebrates its PoloStorico restoration by making debut on track

A Lamborghini 350 GT, which has just finished a one-year full restoration by Lamborghini PoloStorico, took its first drive on a race track during the official hand over to its owner. The 350 GT chassis #0121 was returned to its pure, original state with over 1150 specialist hours’ work on the body and interior and 780 hours on mechanical and electrical functions, using only Lamborghini Original Spare Parts.

The car was delivered in a special event to the current owner, who wanted to test his newly restored car on track for the first time. The car drove 80 perfect kilometers on the especially reserved Autodromo di Modena, in the presence of the car’s original owner invited for the emotional occasion. The track test revealed a perfect balance and performance by the car in general, with precise gear changes, responsive braking and, even in the more pressured track driving environment, demonstrated its performance and handling.

One of the first 15 350 GT models to be produced by Automobili Lamborghini, chassis #0121 includes particular features of the original prototype that changed as production continued, all of which have been researched and reinstated as necessary by Lamborghini PoloStorico during the restoration process.

The original chassis and body panels were returned to their original geometry, with extensive reworking of the engine and cooling system, the braking system as well as the fuel system, to ensure safety as well as authenticity. The interior in black leather was refurbished using classic processes from its original era, and the steering wheel in wood as well as the original accelerator, clutch and brake pedals, restored while respecting small signs of wear. The car’s radio is also the original, performing as perfectly today as in 1964 when first delivered.

The body was repainted in a delicate white using the same original nitroacrylic paint formula and techniques, applying 22 layers of paint with wet sanding by hand in between each layer, giving the car a particular elegance and accenting the car’s lines. The original rims have been restored and authenticated by the original supplier Ruote Borrani di Milano, and fitted with new Pirelli Cinturato 205/15 tyres as first on the car. Originality was extremely important to the owner and the car retains certain small marks and features to conserve the authentic feel of this car.

Following the prototype 350 GTV’s showing at the 1963 Turin Auto Show, the Lamborghini 350 GT was first shown at the 1964 Geneva auto show, and definitively launched the Lamborghini marque to the world with a GT car.

The 350 GT’s 12 cylinder aluminium alloy engine, evolved from the prototype GTV, was adapted for a sophisticated and demanding clientele, outputting 270 hp from its 3464 cc power plant. A five speed ZF gearbox, Salisbury differential and four-wheel independent suspension with Girling brakes all round was housed within an aluminium body. Initially produced with a dry sump lubrication system, this was later substituted by a wet sump in recognition that the 350 GT was a performance car for the road rather than the race track.

The prestigious Carrozzeria Touring company redesigned the vehicle, preserving the lines and character of the GTV prototype project first proposed by Franco Scaglione: elegant, yet at the same time aggressive. For many enthusiasts the 350 GT remains the most elegant of Lamborghini cars.

This is the fourth complete restoration project for Lamborghini PoloStorico, following a Miura, LM002 and a Countach. Lamborghini’s specialist heritage department is focused on four key areas: restoration; archive management; certification; and the supply of original spare parts via Lamborghini After Sales and its dealer network to preserve a vehicle’s value. Lamborghini holds parts for more than 70% of the historic Lamborghini car parc with additional manufactured as required.

<img decoding="async" class="wp-image-13981 size-full" src="https://www.
Chassis number #0121 is one if the first 15 Lamborghini 350 GT ever produced, so it has original features that were changed during production, something the PoloStorico department had to research to make sure this car left the one-year restoration project as close to factory specs back in 1964 as possible … and they succeeded perfectly.

The white paint has been applied in a similar way as back in the Sixties, a nitroacrylic paint consisting of 22 layers, wet sanding between every layer made sure the white shows a very deep shine and accentuates the delicate lines of this first Lamborghini production model.

<img decoding="async" class="wp-image-13982 size-full" src="https://www.
Inside a perfect black leather interior complements the exterior with a period correct radio, restored dials and a stunning wooden steering wheel with brushed aluminum spokes, that same aluminum is used around the dials on the central console.

The 72 spoke Ruote Borrani de Milano wheels are authenticated by the actual supplier, covered with brand new Pirelli Cinturato 205/15 tires, just like when she came from the assembly line in 1964, while the engine has been rebuilt … and optimized to make sure it stayed authentic to her heritage but still remains safe for everyday use today.

If you have a classic Lamborghini that requires a restoration you might want to contact the PoloStorico department, they have access to parts for over 70% of all classic Bulls … and can have parts remanufactured if needed … this white 350 GT required more than 1,150 hours of body and interior work in addition to 780 hours on mechanics and electrics … but by using Lamborghini Original Spare Parts the value of this car has risen tremendously.

While LB Performance both offers a standard aerodynamic kit containing a front bumper, side sills, rear diffuser and rear wing, they also have the famous Kato-san wide fender version with the riveted wheel arch extensions installed … Aimgain didn’t go for a set of wide wheel arches, but the rest of the Aimgain GT Aventador is almost as impressive as anything Kato-san has shown on the current Raging Bull V12.

this and many more photos of lamborghinis are available on www. Lambocars. Com

Aimgain Automotive offers the ‘Perfect Body kit’ for the Lamborghini Aventador in either FRP or in lightweight CFRP at a premium, the entire kit will set you back US$ 16,200 (or €14,900) in Fiber-reinforced plastic or about US$ 25,000 (€ 22,700) in Carbon Fiber (prices valid at the time of writing converted from Japanese Yen)

The first item in the Aimgain GT Aventador kit is a new front bumper that completely replaces the original Lamborghini unit and contains two massive air intakes and a raised horizontal fin between them, also on the sides of this front bumper, ahead of the wheels there are additional vertical intakes fitted. This bumper is available in FRP at US$ 6,000 (€ 5,500) and in CRFP at US$ 7,675 (€7,050) and can be extended with the special front splitter from Aimgain.

For $1,300 (€1,175) in FRP or $ 2,135 (€2,000) in CFRP you can add three parts to the standard Aimgain front bumper to complete the aggressive look at the front, not only will you add an additional horizontal fin to the middle of the bumper, but on either side you will have some amazing stabilization fins added … I would suggest ordering this splitter in clear carbon fiber to be honest.

No aero kit is complete without a set of side sills to lower the profile of the car even further, and naturally Aimgain has a nice set available in their catalogue, again available in FRP or CFRP for $ 2,560 (€2,350) or $ 3,850 (€3,525) respectively at today’s currency ratio.

At the rear the Aimgain GT Aventador kit comes with an equally aggressive looking lower diffuser to complete the look of this Italian beauty, the deep vertical fins of this diffuser look like they have been taken from the latest Super Trofeo race car … in FRP this part can be yours for $3,000 (€6,650) while the CFRP version is listed at $4,700 (€4,300).

this and many more photos of lamborghinis are available on www. Lambocars. Com

While the front bumper, side sills and rear diffuser look very nice and intimidating you can’t deny that massive rear wing from Aimgain draws even more attention … they call it the Stealth GT Wing (nothing stealth about it if you ask me however) and it is made from 8 separate parts. Made from FRP this monster wing is listed at $7,250 (€6,650) while the much nicer looking, and lighter Carbon Fiber version costs $10,250 (€9,400) … while not everybody will like this style, I’m sure the Japanese tuning scene will love it.

With a wild looking styling kit the next step you’ll need on this Aimgain GT Aventador is a very special set of wheels … for this car they went for Savani SV65XC wheels, 9×20 inch up front with an ET value of 12 and massive 13×20 ET45 at the rear, Pirelli P Zero Nero GT tires in 225/30 ZR20 and 355/25 ZR21 are wrapped around these rims while a Bold World air suspension kit specifically created for Aimgain will make sure you can ride as low as possible, for an additional $ 10,250 (€9,400) that is.

Now if you’ve never been a fan of Kato-san’s creations from LB Performance chances are you will not really like this new Aimgain GT Aventador either, but judging from the large number of LB Works Aventador we’ve been seeing lately, both in Japan and all over the world, I guess there is a large enough market for these wild aerodynamic kits anyway … so why not have the choice now between LB Performance and Aimgain.

When the first Mansory Aventador was shown just one year after the original car was introduced by Lamborghini people were a little divided on the looks, some loved the way how they managed to turn the new V12 flagship into a very aggressive looking, personal statement while other felt it was over the top … but back in 2012 the Mansory Aventador was just the start of a very, very impressive evolution.

Only a year later Mansory stunned the visitors of the 2013 Geneva Auto Show with their extreme Carbonado LP1250 llimited edition, only 6 would be built … each bespoke to the fortunate customer that put in an order for this completely modified Lamborghini Aventador, as very little of the base car remained once Mansory worked their magic on it to turn it into a street legal race car … the nr 1/6 was finished in a stunning matte carbon fiber weave that has been developed by Mansory themselves … in fact it doesn’t show the regular weave but a B2 Bomber style triangular shaped weave.

Add the fact the Mansory Carbonado puts down 1250hp onto the road thanks to a couple of turbo chargers and you know this is a very powerful car … at the 2013 IAA in Frankfurt Mansory had the Carbonado 6/6 on the stand, this one was finished in high gloss carbon fiber with red accents and it marked the end of the production line for this edition … alongside to it Mansory already showed the next best thing … the Carbonado Apertos … a Roadster edition of the Carbonado, number 1/3 as only three would ever be built.

Fast forward to March 2014, at the Geneva Auto Show Mansory upped the ante once again … the Carbonado GT Stealth Edition shows a further evolution of the design first seen on the original Carbonado only a year ago … and with a power output of no less than 1,600 hp (1176 kW) achieved by installing a bi-turbo system on the original 700 hp V12, Mansory had to limit the torque to 1,200 Nm to keep the car driveable for their customers … acceleration figures of only 2.1 seconds from 0 to 100 Km/h and a top speed in excess of 370 Km/h are bound to make a statement.

To keep all those horses behind the driver of the Mansory Carbonado GT cool they installed a massive roof mounted air intake to pull air into the engine compartment, in fact the entire engine cover has been designed with built in ducts to tunnel the cool air exactly where it is needed the most … form and function, just like Automobili Lamborghini SpA would state it: ‘there are no parts just for looks on the Aventador, everything serves a purpose’.

The usual Mansory forged wheels are back again, 9×20 inch up front and 13×21 inch at the back, Pirelli P Zero tires in 255/30 ZR20 and 355/25 ZR21 make sure all those 1,600 raging horses are unleashed onto the street, Mansory has their own autoclave to produce carbon fiber parts, so it comes as no surprise the wheels show fins in this lightweight material.

In fact just about the entire Carbonado GT aerodynamic conversion is made from carbon fiber, the deep front bumper that replaces the original part shows larger air intakes with bespoke driving lights in a fighter jet cluster while a low fin under the bumper keeps the car stable at high speed, on the side of the bumper you’ll fins exhaust vents and upright fins that lead air onto the new side sills, which in turn direct air into the wider intake in front of the rear wheels.

Also note the doors once again show the stunning Y-shaped design seen on the original Carbonado, I for one really like that touch by the way, note that the front fenders, which now show vents on top of the wheels, are 40mm wider compared to the factory standard Aventador, at the rear the ‘extension’ is even bigger at 50mm. The front hood is also replaced by a carbon fiber unit and on the roof you’ll encounter the new for the Carbonado GT air intake … very wide and flat it supplies fresh air into the new engine cover that houses tunnels into the engine compartment.

If you look closely at the new engine cover you’ll notice it features quick release levers, just like we see in GT1 racing, there is also a new rear wing installed and instead of adding some parts to the rear Mansory just completely replaces the rear fascia with their own design … and one very innovative touch: the exhaust pipes have been removed from the lower diffuser, Mansory has installed two massive, hexagon styled tips onto their in-house developed exhaust system … from the manifolds right up to these tips.

Naturally the interior hasn’t been left alone either, beautiful yet durable leather has been used abundantly inside the Carbonado GT, add to this the special carbon fiber and absolutely stunning stitching pattern and you know this is workmanship at the best level possible … as we are talking about a stealth fighter for road use the ignition button that is hiding under the famous red flap is now mounted overhead instead of being found on the central console.

No word yet on pricing or production figures … but expect the Carbonado GT Stealth Edition to be expensive … and rare.

Alex Amnadze came up with the concept shown on this page, taking styling cues from legendary models like the Lamborghini Miura and Countach, but still closely based on the current Raging Bull V12 flagship, the Aventador LP700-4, especially at the front […]

Over the years we’ve seen various concept designs on a new Lamborghini, both from the Centro Stile in Sant’Agata and from independent, aspiring designers from all over the world … this gold-flaked GT Concept came from the latter category.

Alex Amnadze came up with the concept shown on this page, taking styling cues from legendary models like the Lamborghini Miura and Countach, but still closely based on the current Raging Bull V12 flagship, the Aventador LP700-4, especially at the front of his design.

The front air intakes in the bumper look very close to those used on the Aventador, so in line with the angular styling of Lamborghini models these days, also the small spoiler in between these intakes reminds us of the one seen on the Aventador … the ‘fins’ on the side of the front bumper look a bit strange in fact, could be functional, but I think they wouldn’t make it into production at Sant’Agata in the end.

The headlights used are also very similar to the Aventador units while the fenders hug the massive wheels very closely to flow into another air vent just behind the front wheels, which would lead us to believe we are looking at a front mounted V10 or V12 engine requiring cooling vents in that position … however the front really angles down steeply so we wonder if such an engine would even fit between the front wheels.

One thing that really looks odd are the exterior rear view mirrors way out on the front fenders … somehow these should be put back on the doors, that would make the overall impression of this concept a lot more balanced … and would work wonders for aerodynamic drag too probably.

There is a nice, angular indent on the doors that leads into a broad set of shoulders in this design, something similar was seen on the Estoque concept from Lamborghini a few years ago, it makes the car look really impressive and offers the option of a wider track at the rear … which improves stability at high speed, something worth while in a car with 600 hp … or more.

There are also air intakes on the side of this concept, however just behind the side window there is a small inlet … which puzzles us to be honest. The design shows a hatchback flow … or is it a mid-engine configuration after all … no information about this is given by the designer, and somehow the height up front looks inadequate to put a large engine in the front … on the other hand the air intakes to offer cooling for a mid-engine layout are rather small.

We do see a set of louvers at the back, sloping down from the roof … a style we’ve seen on the classic Miura, but do these cover an engine … or a 2+2 seating configuration perhaps? If this concept has the engine up front there would be enough room to squeeze two additional seats in the back … that would mean a 2+2 Lamborghini GT could be possible.

The usual Y-shape returns on the taillights too, not three LED sets like on the Gallardo and Aventador, but six on either side, add the large exhaust in the middle of the rear diffuser and you have a rather impressive rear deck.

So Alex shows us a Lamborghini Concept GT that takes some Aventador styling, adds a bit of classic Miura into the equation and puts an Estoque style rear on a high speed Gran Turismo that could very well have an engine up front … perhaps even a Hybrid, why not?

Naturally we will never be seeing this concept in rea life on the production line in Sant’Agata, the Urus SUV concept has already been delayed to at least 2017, the Estoque is on ice indefinitely by now and Lamborghini is working hard to get a Gallardo successor on the market … so adding a third model like this GT onto the production line is not a viable option anytime soon.

I wonder what we’ll be able to admire at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show in March next year … a first glance at the Gallardo successor ? I for only highly doubt that … perhaps yet another ‘special edition’ on the current Gallardo, or a totally innovative one-off like the Aventador J earlier this year … only time will tell, but I’m sure Automobili Lamborghini SpA still has some nice surprises for us down the line …

A rather strange rumor got published this week, apparently someone mentioned there could be an Aventador GT in the pipeline … and no we aren’t talking about something like the Diablo GT, a race inspired car for road use, nope.

The Aventador GT would be a 2+2 Gran Turismo edition to compete with cars like the Ferrari FF, offering two additional seats on a slightly longer wheelbase evolution, now I for one find that rather hard to believe, why turn a full blooded exotic super car into a Gran Turismo 2+2 edition when you have a near perfect base sitting on the shelve already … the Estoque would be a near perfect competition for GT cars from other makes, and if four doors aren’t high on the priority list it would look just as good with only two door … as can be seen in the render we were able to make, perhaps even a convertible later on would add another model to the line-up with minimal extra effort.

We also did a quick render on how a ‘stretched’ Aventador would look, adding a second set of door to allow access to the two additional seats as some rumor talked about fitting suicide doors to create the Aventador GT, you now this kind of ‘backward’ opening doors from cars like the Rolls Royce by the way … however imagine how the Aventador GT would look with Portofino doors where the front doors open upward like we already know from Lamborghini, but the rear doors also open upward being hinged at the back … a great, very impressive look by the way.

If we can believe the current rumor we are heading for an unveil of the long awaited Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster at an early 2013 Detroit Motor Show while the 2013 Geneva Show would be the stage for an Aventador LP700-4 Gran Turismo edition and the next year we should be seeing the Aventador LP800-4 Super Veloce evolution on the 2014 Geneva Show … timing that could make sense, remember the Murciélago LP640 Roadster was unveiled in the US too, and this leaves room for the Paris or Frankfurt show to unveil the Gallardo successor, however somehow I don’t think we will be seeing a new V10 in late September 2012 already, perhaps a concept, but not something production ready if you ask me … but I could be completely wrong, and on September 27 2012 during the press conference in Paris we might all be blown away by a brand new Lamborghini model … only time will tell.
