A new chapter in the history of Lamborghini !
Yet another detail shot on the new Raging Bull that will be introduced during the 2008 Paris Mondial de l’Automobile has just been posted by Automobili Lamborghini SpA, we’ve seen a close up of the very stylish taillight cluster last week, but this time it’s a look at the headlights, and a detail of the engine cover … and it sure looks great.
It has become obvious over the last week that this is not an evolution of the Murciélago nor the Gallardo but a concept for a totally new car, a third model to the line up in fact, if it will be a 2+2 GT or a four door super sedan is still unclear, however some sources state it will be a four seater with a V12 up front using the well know VT style drivetrain and priced to compete head to head with competition from the Ferrari Scaglietti, the Aston Martin Rapide and the Porsche Panamera that will be available from 2010 on.
This amazing new model has been developed in total secrecy, nothing was known about it outside Automobili Lamborghini until a week ago when they showed a first ‘teaser’ shot of a rear diffuser and dual exhaust pipes. We can probably expect a top speed well above 200 Mph with an acceleration figure below the 4 seconds mark.
For a while the name ‘Urus’ kept going around on the Internet, as it had been registered by Automobili Lamborghini SpA only a few months ago together with some similar Internet domain names, but the name has been denied already, this time the name Estoque has been living a life of it’s own on the Internet, but to be really sure we’ll just have to wait until tomorrow, 21:00 CET when the official press release and additional photographs will become available from Automobili Lamborghini SpA.
This new car will be unveiled in Paris on October 2nd, but we can admire it in photographs on October 1st at 21:00 CET already …
