This new kit is also available in dry carbon fiber, a first for LB-Performance, pricing has been set at $17,400 for the entire kit in FRP, while the dry carbon fiber version is listed at $28,850 (prices correct at the time of writing)

The complete Aventador S kit contains a very nice front diffuser that is fitted underneath the standard bumper, complete with two vertical fins on the side, an impressive side sill … again with a vertical fin in front of the rear wheels, for stabilization, and an aggressively styled rear lower diffuser, which also seems to be installed onto the standard bumper and still uses the original exhaust tip.

The massive rear wing is a ‘hanging’ style design, something we’ve seen on the Aventador SV already, but the LB-Performance unit shows more resemblance with the Super Trofeo unit with larger vertical struts.

Naturally, the rendered version is showing an Airrex suspension, Kato-San likes his cars to be very low to the street, and this Aventador S is no exception, a set of center lock cross-spoke wheels complete the look.

But the render also shows a few items that are not (yet) listed on the price list from LB-Performance … check out the vents in front of the rear wheels, they are finished in carbon fiber too … and more importantly, the impressive front hood we’ve seen on the LB-Works Aventador Limited with the integrated air vents is also fitted onto this Aventador S … so we might be seeing this offered as an option soon.

Still only a render, but LB Performance has listed their new LB Works Huracan as ‘coming soon’ on their website, showing five different angles of a white Lamborghini V10 with the LB Performance trademark wide body aerodynamic kit … as usual with those exposed rivets still in plain sight and complete with that massive ‘duck tail’ fixed rear wing at the back of the venerable Huracan.

Up front it looks like LB Performance will be mounting additional carbon fiber sections underneath the standard front bumper making the Huracan ride very low already, the side fenders receive massive extensions in true LB Works style with exposed rivets mounting them onto the original Lamborghini fenders, just like over the rear wheels … another set of wide extensions get riveted onto the original bodywork … both the front and rear wheel arches require to be cut larger in fact so LB Performance can install another trademark for their LB Works kits … the extremely low riding suspension.

Once again LB Performance drops their latest LB Works kit completely to the floor, which looks amazing, but could pose some issues on the open road .. hence these kits are also known as ‘bagged suspension’ … an air compressor and one or more air tanks are used to raise and lower the car when required … and it does look ever so intimidating …

From the renders it seems the side sills are kept standard with their air intakes just ahead of the rear wheels, but there is a clear carbon fiber fin added anyway, with a small upright section behind the front wheels while the rear lower diffuser also receives some additional fins underneath the dual exhaust pipes on either side.

Now these renders show what looks like the standard exhaust tips on the Huracan, but I’m sure we’ll be getting another flame spitting, custom made exhaust system for this V10 Raging Bull in the end … making her thunder even more.

A closer look at the rear also shows that fixed rear wing is in fact a three part unit, with the engine cover of the Huracan opening up complete with a section above the rear fascia, it makes sense for LB Performance to actually cut their large rear wing at that spot and have the two outer sections remain fixed to the bodywork while the center section goes up with the engine cover.

For the moment LB Performance has shown five different renders of a white Lamborghini Huracan with their LB Works kit, but I’m sure they will be building it on a more exotic shade … perhaps even the baby blue finished used on their Aventador wide body.

The company Armytrix has come up with a very loud titanium exhaust available for the Lamborghini. You can hear this widebody Lamborghini Aventador (an LP720-4 50th Anniversary) modified by LB-Performance doing a series of loud accelerations and revs followed by some huge flames, sounds awesome!

Still LB Performance isn’t giving up on these wide body styled exotic cars, they also offer these rare tuning options to cars like the Ferrari 458 Italia and the Nissan GT-R for instance … at the moment they don’t have a wide body Aventador yet (I did create a virtual render of one however)

But there might be something really special just around the corner … I’ve been playing with this concept too, but Brian Monaco beat me to it … he presents the Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 by LB Performance, complete with stupendously wide fenders, low side sills and massive rear wing.

If we take a closer look at this virtual render we notice a deeper front spoiler with lower fins and additional air intakes, also note the black sections in the front bumper are finished in clear carbon fiber now, which looks really good if you ask me.

Naturally the most impressive part of the LB Performance kit are the wide fenders with the LB Performance trademark rivets to give that raw, race inspired look from the past, combined with a clear carbon fiber side sill and a high rising rear wing in the same material the atmosphere for the Huracán wide body is set perfectly.

As usual LB Performance will install a ‘bagged suspension’ … which allows the Bull to be raised or lowered when road conditions allow by inflating or deflating the air ride using one or more compressors, the massive Iforged wheels and impressive tires are the icing on the cake here … this virtual render naturally also shows the white lettering on the tires and the ‘Imagine all the people living in peace’ message on the door.

If LB Performance has a follow up planned for their limited edition Murciélago wide body is almost certain … if this will be based on an Aventador or an Huracán remains to be seen … but whichever route this Japanese master of tuning takes, I’m sure it will be a stunning, broad shouldered Bull.

Earlier this year LB Performance showed their brand new tuning package for the more recent Lamborghini Aventador at the 2013 Tokyo Auto Show … the car was again finished in a stunning brushed aluminum look wrap and received a new front bumper, side skirts, lower rear diffuser and a magnificent rear wing … the LB Performance Aventador looked amazing without being over the top.

Canadian based SR Auto Group now brings the first Lamborghini Aventador LB-Performance outside of Japan, and their choice to go with a combination of bright orange metallic, matte black and clear carbon fiber worked out perfectly, add those amazing PUR Wheels and you end up with an absolutely stupendously nice looking Raging Bull … different, but still recognizable.

Mounting a kit like this LB Performance unit isn’t as easy as it looks, an Aventador is still somewhat a hand built car, so every car might have a few mm of difference when it comes to body parts, hence installing a totally new front bumper from LB Performance with a three piece carbon fiber splitter takes some careful measuring … and re-measuring … and some more measuring to make sure it all fits together without big seams … the end result should look like it might have been done by Lamborghini themselves after all.

The side skirts are fixed underneath the original ones, finished in clear carbon fiber and showing a nice ‘canard’ in front of the rear wheels these LB Performance units are one of the best looking I’ve ever seen, they would look great on just about any Lamborghini Aventador.

Going round to the back the work involved in installing the lower diffuser is mindboggling … you have to add several vertical fins to the original Lamborghini diffuser, which involves removing the entire rear section from the Aventador, including taillights, bumper, mid section and everything. After that you have to make sure the vertical fins are positioned exactly right to accommodate the extra horizontal diffuser section … the end result is awesome, but just imagine the hours it took to get there.

And the best is yet to come … take a look at that amazing rear wing, SR Auto calls it a 3D GT wing, and I guess it wouldn’t look too out of place of an actual GT race car with those thin struts and adjustable angle … I guess the original Aventador rear wing has been disconnected so it doesn’t rise up at speed anymore, that would rather be useless with this new, large rear wing installed … finished in clear carbon fiber naturally.

SR Auto Group didn’t leave the original four tip exhaust on this Arancio Argos Aventador, instead we notice an Innotech Performance Exhaust with two massive oval exhaust tips … looks good and I’m sure it sounds even better … made from T304 stainless steel it comes with a remote control to command the ‘mode’ of the valves: open, closed and auto … in auto mode the rpm of the engine and the position of the gas pedal is taken into account to adjust valve movement inside the exhaust automatically … this offers a really dramatic increase in exhaust sound.

You have to admit the new Dione wheels from Lamborghini do look very nice on the Aventador, however this orange car arrived on glossy black Iperione wheels … which SR Auto Group replaced with very nice PUR Wheels, the beautiful 4our Depth units finished in matte black with a grey outer rim … a perfect look for this very special Lamborghini Aventador with 255/30 ZR 20 P-Zero Nero up front.

But time has come to take the next step into the Raging Bull tuning scene … the Aventador, many companies already have aesthetic modifications for the current V12 flagship model, some even have engine tuning available … so this market niche is getting crowded already … still the concept render we could admire earlier was only an indication of what LB Performance was building … a few ‘spy shots’ were found online while LB Performance was preparing an unveil at the 2013 Tokyo Auto Show … the TAS.

Most of the Lamborghinis tuned by LB Performance in the past got really close to the ground thanks to an air ride suspension … and from the looks of this Aventador it won’t escape the ‘low rider’ treatment either … I wouldn’t install it on my own Bull to be honest, but I do admire it on these LB Performance specials … it is all a matter of taste anyway … and you didn’t buy your first Lamborghini for practical reasons either …but straight from the heart.

LB Performance knows their business, and while one of their latest creations is a wild, wide body Murciélago, on the Aventador they have toned things down a bit. For starters the wheels … no massively deep lips nor strange designs … not even a wild paint scheme … instead one of the most classic wheel designs is used, the initial render showed traditional cross spoke wheel, albeit with a deep concave curve at the rear and finished in fashionable black … but the actual car would receive a different style wheel, still black however … the LB Performance kit makes Aventador look at least a decade ahead of anything else on the open road.

From the early image it looked like LB Performance wouldn’t be mounting an additional rear wing on their Aventador, instead the original wing got a clear carbon fiber finish, as do the adjustable air intakes above the wheels and that air outlet just in front of the rear wheels. Still when the preparation images leaked we were happy to see a beautiful angular styled rear wing in style with the one LB Performance also used on their Murciélago, so this latest Bull also goes through life with an additional aerofoil at the back.

Again the initial plans showed a glossy, clear carbon fiber roof … but the window sills kept the same shade as the bodywork, something most tuners also turn into black or carbon fiber … on the other hand the rear view mirrors do get a carbon fiber dress … however once the first actual car got unveiled things looked a bit different to say the least.

Instead of the classic white finish shown on the initial render LB Performance decided to take a known route and wrap their Aventador in a brushed aluminum look, like we’ve seen on their first wide body Murciélago. Now things really start to get interesting, it looks like the entire front bumper is replaced by an LB Performance unit, the render showed air vents on the side but these didn’t make it into production yet, the Aventador J styling did … at first glance. Just take a closer look at the front … the front air intakes are actually much larger compared to the original bumper, also the black surrounds are gone, so the LB Performance intakes now get a full grille to avoid debris damaging the radiators.

And while there are ‘fins’ going upward that might look similar to the Aventador J front … on this LB Performance bumper these fins aren’t floating … they actually attach completely to the front bumper which looks absolutely stunning and is totally innovative … way to go LB Performance.

Underneath this already beautiful new front bumper it looks like LB Performance will be offering an additional diffuser with small fins on the sides … a styling that returns on the new side sills too. From this render it doesn’t seem like the entire side sill is replaced, only the inset from the air outlet behind the front wheel gets painted black or receives some clear carbon fiber. But the trick is in the end … just ahead of the rear wheels we see a fin going upward, emerging from an additional side sill underneath the original one, most likely available in carbon fiber too.

So instead of copying the Aventador J style LB Performance took a close look at it and made an exclusive design … totally different, but still looking like something that could be factory original. We all know the Aventador has a highly developed air flow around it, and in fact a rear wing isn’t needed per se … the bodywork and under tray create enough down force on their own, while the standard rear wing is adjustable, so there is no real need for a massive, additional rear wing … but it does look cool anyway.

We finally saw the LB Performance Aventador at the 2013 Tokyo Auto Show, finished in an impressive brushed alloy look combined with matte black sections, some decals and glossy black wheels from iForged in massive 9×20 inch up front and even larger 13×21 inch at the back, wearing 255/30 ZR20 and 355/25 ZR21 Pirelli PZero Rosso tyres respectively.

The complete LB Performance Aventador body kit consists of a new front and rear bumper, front canards, new side skirts that lead to a modified rear diffuser and naturally that amazing rear wing mounted on some of the most beautiful struts I’ve ever seen. Note the ‘howl’ of this Raging Bull has been modified by installing a J-Wolf exhaust system that features adjustable, electronic valves, add to this the by now famous Liberty Walk low-down suspension and you end up with an amazing looking Aventador … where Italian style meets Japanese personalization.

Perhaps not everybody will like this wide body conversion created by Kei Miura, but you have to admit it looks really brutal anyway, especially with those rivets to hold the big wheel arches in place … on this specific car they even went for a brushed aluminum look bodywork, making the overall impression even better.

Your first impression might be this is a tuned LP670-4 Super Veloce model, but in fact this isn’t the case, the base car is in fact a 2004 Murciélago, so an original 6.2 liter V12 model that has been massively modified by its owner Kato-San, who also happens to own Liberty Walk/LB Performance.

Now if you know anything about Kato-San and his passion you know he like classic Japanese cars too, which puts an entirely different view on this wide body Murciélago … those wheel arch extensions with their rivet attachment look a lot like those seen on several legendary Japanese sports cars.

This car already had the entire T-02 kit from LB Performance mounted, which includes a new front bumper that resembles the Super Veloce bumper but is in fact very different upon closer inspection, LB Performance additionally puts two spoiler lips underneath it for an even deeper riding stance.

At the back we see a new lower diffuser and a massive rear wing mounted on the rear panel, again the latter might look like the factory original Super Veloce rear wing but the fitting is totally different … still it looks impressive and does the job it is required to do, add the special side skirts into the equation and you end up with a very personal evolution of this earlier V12 Bull.

The T-02 kit has been available from LB Performance for a while now, and several Murciélago have been fitted with it … but Kato-San wanted to drag the Murciélago back into the spotlight it lost a bit to the successor from Sant’Agata … you have to admit the Aventador looks absolutely stunning, and next to an original 2004 Murciélago … well there is no competition, the Murciélago just looks old.

So Kei Miura from TRA Kyoto came into the picture … his almost magical hands created true art on wheels by adding big wheel arch extensions on the T-02 Murciélago kit, with their rough, rivet fitting they make the Raging Bull look like a street legal race car, ready to feast on just about any other car it might encounter on the open road.

With looks like this you might think Kato-San added some power to the Italian V12 engine, remember twin turbo kits are widely available for the Murciélago, DMC has built a V12 Murciélago engine pumping out 800 hp without any turbo already … but with more power comes more responsibilities, and more maintenance … the engine in this first unit of the limited edition run is factory standard, the only upgrade is a purely cosmetically exhaust tip that nicely integrated into the new rear diffuser.

Still Kato-San installed a high performance CSD brake kit on this specific car, nicely visible behind magnificent new rims from iForged, model Equip V3 are mounted in large 8.5×19 -2 size at the front and massive 13×20 -50 at the back, rubber protection comes from Toyo (to be expected as this car was shown on the Toyo stand at SEMA) in the form of Proxes T1R units, in 235/35ZR19 and 345/25ZR20 respectively.

Inside this nr 1/20 is mostly factory stock, which isn’t a bed thing mind you, the combination of bright red leather with black hides works like a match made in heaven inside this brushed aluminum look wrapped Murciélago, still the steering wheel is a custom made item by LB Performance and so are the door sills … you have to do something to make a statement here I guess.

As you might expect, the Liberty Walk LB-R Limited Works 20 Murciélago will be a highly limited production unit, only 20 will be made, and while iForged already supplied 4 sets of rims for this project I do think you’ll have to get an order in quickly if you would like to have one of these 20 wide body kits to be fitted onto your Murciélago.

Despite the increased price tag the SV sold out rather quickly … and prices on the second hand market aren’t going downhill any time soon, not even with the successor being in production for almost two years now, so many people turn their attention to the next best thing: take a regular Murciélago version and turn it into a Super Veloce look alike.

Several companies are catering to this exact need, some with more success than other I might add, but Japanese base LB Performance has been customizing Lamborghini models for many years now … and they offer an M-02 package that will turn any Murciélago, be it the original 6.2 liter or the later LP640 evolution into something even more intimidating than the factory original Super Veloce edition.

LB Performance didn’t just copy the SV styling, they took it as a base and designed their own view on how a street legal race car based on the Murciélago should look … and despite some of their cars being painted in somewhat strange shades you have to admit the T-02 package mounted on this matte green V12 looks absolutely amazing, and it isn’t just cosmetic on this specific car either, hence the name LB-R 660.

Judging from this designation I would think the engine has been tampered with, resulting in a power output of 660 hp instead of the original 640 … now it could be due to the fact a new stainless steel exhaust system is mounted (USD 1,825/ Euro 1,400) and an LB original valve exhaust system (USD 10,500/Euro 8,000) is installed, probably adding 20 hp on a total of 640 in the end, perhaps nothing too earth shattering, but it still is an increase.

Let’s walk over the modifications visible on the outside of this army inspired Raging Bull, up front we not only see the Type II Front bumper (USD 10,350/Euro 7,950) but also those racing style fins on the corners (USD 1,550/Euro 1,200) … additionally LB Performance can mount an extra diffuser up front (USD 1,300/Euro 1,000) but it isn’t mounted on this specific car.

To make the Murciélago look really angry LB Performance offers what we in Europe call ‘the bad look’ … covers on the headlights to make them look angry, either in FRP (USD 650/Euro 490) or in much better looking carbon fiber (USD 950/Euro 730) … let’s call it the final touch up front … for now.

On the side we naturally get custom side skirts (USD 7,050/Euro 5,400) but also an extra diffuser (USD 1,550/Euro 1,200) and if you really want to make a point you select the special LB Performance decal (USD 230/Euro 175) … just to make sure people know what you are driving.

Swing around the back and things get really impressive, not one but two different rear wing designs are available from LB Performance, a carbon finished v2 model (USD 8,000/Euro 6,000) that looks like it was taken from a race car or the v3 rear wing in FRP (USD 5,500/Euro 4,200) as seen on this green Murciélago … it looks like the factory original Super Veloce rear wing, but the struts are totally different.

Add a massive rear bumper (USD 10,500/Euro 8,000) to replace the original one and the extra rear diffuser (USD 2,000/Euro 1,500) and you get a truly amazing look at the back … which just begs for the optional stainless steel exhaust muffler (USD 1,825/Euro 1,400) that will turn the howl of the V12 engine into something straight from hell itself … and it looks great too.

Wheels are a very personal statement, and LB Performance has a few options for you as a customer, on this green LB-R 660 the standard LB Forged wheels v2 are installed, 8.5×19 inch at the front and 13×20 inch at the back (USD 6,600/Euro 5,050 for a set of 4) … but you could opt for the LB Klassen wheels, also 8.5×19 inch at the front and 13×20 inch at the back (USD 9,800/Euro 7,500 for a set of 4) or go really wild and get the LB Magnesium wheels … ‘only’ 8.5×18 inch and 13×18 inch front to rear (USD 16,800/Euro 12,900) but much lighter compared to regular alloys.

And that’s only on the outside, let’s open the door and check out the interior … on this LB-R 660 the interior has been completely customized with a combination of black leather and camouflage material, which perfectly shows there is virtually no limit to what LB Performance can do with upholstery on your Lamborghini … prices on demand naturally. Add to that the option of a carbon fiber steering wheel (USD 5,000/Euro 3,800), carbon fiber door sill (USD 1,050/Euro 800) and a stunning carbon fiber dial housing on the dashboard pod (USD 3,050/Euro 2,400) and you get a very impressive combination to spend your time behind the wheel of a Murciélago.

In the end you might be looking at a rather hefty invoice … but take a look at this car and you quickly forget just how much money it takes to get to this point … in the end the smile on your face driving something as wild and exclusive as this LB-R 660 is priceless anyway.
