The Grande Giro continued today with a 390 km (242 miles) drive that will eventually lead to Rome, taking the drivers through beautiful landscapes in Tuscany where the Tuscan Maremma is produced, one of the most important wines from the Grosseto region, during the first lap of the day a visit to Pisa was on the agenda … famous for the leaning tower naturally.

Along the way from Forte dei Marmi the 350 Raging Bulls made a stop at the 4th Wing Amedeo d’Aosta Air Force base in Grosseto resulting in some amazing photos with the fighter airplanes in the background while lunch was served for the hungry drivers and passengers.

Also note a very special car joined the Grande Giro … the 1972 Jarama S Bob Wallace Special, the bright orange V12 race car the legendary Lamborghini test driver created from a car that started life as a comfortable Gran Turismo car … safe to say the Bob Wallace special was a little less comfortable, but also a lot quicker.

They also pass the Tyrrhenian coast including Elba, Giglio and Capraia (the islands on the Tuscan archipelago) to pass Etruria, in upper Lazio to arrive on the famous square in Rome in the evening … hotel shuttles would take the participants to their rooms where they could prepare themselves for another very nicely arranged dinner.
