Back in January we already published an article on the 1/18 version of the brand new Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 that will be unveiled in real life at the Geneva Auto Show in early March 2014, after that famous MR Collection will have their 1/18 scale model available on the market too, being MR it will however be rather expensive, and sealed.

However at the Nuremberg Toy Fair in early February 2014 we found another very interesting option … Bburago is going to release the new Huracán too, in four different shades to begin with, a bright metallic green (if this is a Verde Ithaca or the new Verde Mantis isn’t listed yet), white (Bianco Monocerus), yellow (Giallo Midas) and silver (Grigio Nimbus) … and not only in the larger 1/18 scale, but Bburago also intends to release their Huracán model in 1/43 and 1/43 scale too.

Production of the 1/18 Bburago Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 has been started already, and the first two prototypes (a green one and a silver one) were on display at the Toy Fair, however shipments of this new model is foreseen for end of March, beginning of April, so I doubt we’ll be able to buy one of these Bburago models in Geneva already when the real car is unveiled to the public … perhaps a very limited number of models could be available in early March, but I guess these will demand a serious premium over the regular price … which seems to be around the €40 mark.

Now we all know a €40 Bburago model cannot be compared to the €400 MR version, but still it is a very nice, low cost alternative to at least have a Lamborghini Huracán in your collection, even if it isn’t as highly finished or detailed as the more expensive resin model from MR it is still a great alternative to keep you going until AutoArt comes up with their highly detailed model.
