Stephan Winkelmann, CEO of Automobili Lamborghini SpA, already mentioned this would become a year of celebration, more importantly 100 years of innovation in half the time … Lamborghini is celebrating their 50th Anniversary in 2013, and the party promises to be worldwide.
From May 7. 2013 on there will be the Grande Giro in Italy that will lead a massive amount of Lamborghini cars and owners to Sant’Agata, but all over the world there are additional celebrations going on too, and Hong Kong is only one of the locations that hosted a big party.
We all know there are a lot of exotic super cars driving around in Hong Kong, and many of those have been built in Sant’Agata, so putting together a nice selection of Raging Bulls to celebrate 50 years of automotive art made in Sant’Agata shouldn’t be too much of a problem … so get ready to take a look at the Lamborghinis at Stanley Plaza, and the Bulls.
If you look closely at the photos you will notice the wrap scene has caught on quite impressively in Hong Kong, the Nero Nemesis Aventador receives a glossy TriColore stripe from front to back … but it looks almost dull next to the Gallardo models that are parked next to the V12 … in full wrap dress.
How about a white Gallardo LP560-4, already with the new style bumpers, but showing a lot of colorful ‘spots’ all over, or another white Gallardo with some very artistic painting on the hood and doors … just in case you like it a but more exotic there was also a classic Gallardo showing a beautiful rivet look on ‘rust style’ panels … very nice.
And they even used replica bulls that had similar ‘suits’ on, the black bull even received Aventador style doors and the typical Y-shape taillights … art in motion I guess. And while this display was mostly static there were more than enough Lamborghini on the streets to keep us happy … among them a bright orange Gallardo rolling in green rims for instance.
All in all a very impressive number of modern Lamborghini gathered for the 50th Anniversary party in Hong Kong, among them the almost classic Murciélago models, in LP640 and LP670-4 Super Veloce form, but also a very nicely tuned orange model with custom wheels and a classic Murciélago that changed into a Super Veloce look alike.
Naturally the Aventador was part of the celebrations too, a stunning white one on black wheels and even a rare Grigio Estoque finished Aventador made its appearance next to a large number of Gallardo models, ranging from the early 5.0 models over the original Superleggera to the more recent LP550-2, LP560-4 and LP570-4 Superleggera models.
Even the Rosso Mars finished Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale was present, together with a brand new LP560-4 Superleggera Edizione Tecnica … also in red … and another Gallardo that could fool upon first glance at being a Super Trofeo Stradale … but in fact it was an even more exclusive Gallardo Super Trofeo Strada by Reiter Engineering … now that’s a street legal race car in fact.
I’m sure we’ll be seeing a lot of large celebration events in the months ahead, so get ready for an overdose of Raging Bull images …
