For some people buying a Lamborghini and going over the already extensive list of ‘usual’ options just doesn’t cut it, they want something different, something nobody else has … which usually meant a visit to a high-end tuner after taking delivery of the car, but that has changed a long time ago when Automobili Lamborghini SpA started their Ad Personam program back in 2006.
Automobili Lamborghini SpA presented ‘Ad Personam’ for the first time at the Mondial de l’Automobile in Paris in 2006 … the first cars created by this new program were the Murciélago LP640 Versace and the Gallardo Nera, but many more amazing cars would leave the factory with more and more custom ordered Ad Personam items installed.
Lamborghini themselves call it ‘unlimited freedom of creation’, and as long as the request meets the regulations for quality and safety the Ad Personam director at the factory in Sant’Agata approves it … while the sky is the limit, and the only boundaries are your imagination and bank account … some request will not be approved by the director however … for instance using bright white leather inside a Roadster on the upper dashboard … that would create some serious glare and is a safety risk.
And now Lamborghini launches the ‘Ad Personam Studio’ at the headquarter in Sant’Agata, a place the customer can visit and touch and feel the materials … so each customer can create his very own Lamborghini while being guided to make the right choices.
From the Ad Personam Studio you can select a number of exclusive, superior Nappa, Semi-aniline and the famous CarbonSkin material, or go for the special Alcantara … all available in custom shades to match the exterior of your very own Lamborghini.
Color combinations that are not available from the standard option list can be done in Ad Personam, multi-color steering wheels with contrasting stitching, special stitching patterns on the seats and door panels, your very own name of script embroidered on the side bolster of the seat … you name it, Ad Personam will try to make it.
And that’s only on the inside … imagine making your choice out of a list of over 200 exterior shades, solid, Metallic, Glittered paint, Pearlescent or Matt … if you think that is a difficult choice think again, as Ad Personam allows you to create your very own shade and use your name for it … this shade will not be available to other customers for a set period of time … talk about getting something nobody else can.
So you finally managed to decide on the paint to be used and the leather inside … now you’ll have to pick a rim from over 20 types available. Wheels can now receive their very own paint and finish … even more choices for you to make.
But once you get around all the possibilities and finally sign that order you will end up with a truly unique Lamborghini … your Lamborghini.
