I was fortunate enough to be present at the 2019 IAA in Frankfurt, Germany, when Lamborghini took the covers off their latest limited edition supercar, the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37, and it was also the first hybrid from Lamborghini.
The Lamborghini Sián, a name taken from the local dialect in Sant’Agata that translates to ‘lightning’, comes with the well-known V12 engine coupled to a supercapacitor … a first in the world of hybrid cars, this puts down a total power output of 819hp, the most ever in a Lamborghini production car … 0 to 100 Km/h is accomplished in only 2.8 seconds and the top speed of the Sián is well over 350 Km/h.
Production of the Lamborghini Sián is limited at 63 units, there is also a Sián Roadster that was unveiled in July 2020 which is limited to 19 units for the world … and as usual, all of them were sold out by the time the public got to see the actual car, both the Coupe and the Roadster were rumored to be offered at the same $3,600,000 MSRP.
But each one of these Lamborghini Sián will be created by the Ad Personam studio together with the customer, it’s the intention none of these Sián are the same, they will all be a bespoke, one-off build for the lucky new owner, so we expect to see some very wild combinations once deliveries are done.
At this time several Lamborghini Sián Coupe have been delivered already, mostly in the United States and the Middle East, but now a pair of these hybrids touched ground in the UK, being delivered by Lamborghini London, also known as H.R.Owen … and more importantly, only three Sián were sold in the UK.
These two Lamborghini Sián being delivered to UK customers couldn’t be more different, on is finished in a subtle Grigio Nimbus exterior over a black, Nero Ade interior with Rosso Alala … a touch of red that is also found on the lower part of the exterior, a clear carbon fiber roof finishes the outside look.
The second UK Sián looks nothing like her grey counterpart, she’s finished in a stunning black exterior called Nero Helene and comes with exposed carbon fiber front hood, headlight surrounds, and engine cover. But the contrast of using Oro Electrum gold-finished lines, front bumper inset, wheels … and let’s not forget the large 63 on the bonnet and smaller 63 on the doors just sets this Sián apart from the light grey one.
The interior of the black Lamborghini Sián boasts a similar contrast with a Nero Ade leather upholstery and Oro Electrum stitching and details … note that the show car in Frankfurt had a brown Alcantara interior, but it seems the owner of this black car went for full leather instead.
