MATTE RED MURCIELAGO ON DPE WHEELS

These days the Lamborghini Aventador is the talk of the town, even the Gallardo has lost some of its bravura and the MurciĆ©lago … well if it isn’t the latest LP670-4 Super Veloce evolution nobody seems to be interested in this former flagship anymore.

However the owner of this early 6.2 version of the MurciĆ©lago didn’t let the fame of his pride and joy fade that easily, how about a very nice looking, matte red vinyl wrap … compared with the black parts the red really stands out nicely, the overall impression is just beautiful, but the owner Paul wasn’t finished yet and decided to have a Premier4509 kit installed.

We’ve seen this kit on the MurciĆ©lago before, and it does look very impressive consisting of a complete new front bumper section with additional air outlets on the side and more protruding air intakes up front styled like the ones first seen on the Reventon limited edition. The side outlets get some great looking, black fins that are also featured on the new side sills that look a little like the LP640 sills, also a new rear bumper and diffuser is mounted, again with additional air outlets and triangular ‘holes’ also seen on the more recent LP640 version of the MurciĆ©lago.

To make the V12 sound as good as it looks now, a new exhaust is mounted in a rather innovative design … the one thing the owner didn’t go for was the large rear wing Premier4509 offers … and I must admit the ‘line’ of this MurciĆ©lago is very clean and still intimidating.

Naturally a car like this needs some special wheels to get the look together completely, in this case matte black classic cross spoke rims made by DPE (Dynamic Performance Engineering – Forged wheels) have been mounted in a deep concave design that looks really awesome at speed. The DPE CST7 – 7 Spoke split mesh concave wheels received massive 345/25ZR20 tires at the rear by the way.

We did find some photos showing the same car but sitting on different wheels, still black cross spokes but now with a polished lip, I must admit these DPE look better on the car. If we take a close look at the photos we also noticed the custom interior, looks like a combination of bright red leather and light tan ā€¦ weā€™ve seen that combination back in 2002 at an Auto Show ā€¦ could it be the same car?

Check out two videos I found on YouTube featuring this car … on the open road :
