If you happen to own a Lamborghini Huracan, and in your street someone else buys one too, or you just got tired of the looks of your factory standard V12 Bull (I can’t image that happening, but you never know) … just give Fusion Motor Company located in Los Angeles a call and write a cheque for about $39,000 … that will get you their carbon fiber full body kit that will completely transform your basic Huracan into a street legal racecar lookalike.

<img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" class="wp-image-1135 size-full" src="https://www.
Not only does that glossy carbon fiber finish of these parts look amazing, it also reduces the weight of the Huracan and makes her look a lot more aggressive while still retaining the factory original parking sensors, rear view camera and even the badges, as for the factory bodypanels, the doors, the roof, the engine cover, and the rear sides are just about all that remains after fitting this kit.

The Fusion Motor Company carbon fiber body kit comes with these carbon fiber parts: a new front hood that reminds me of the Centenario hood, a new, deeper front bumper with lower lip, inserts and side winglets in a completely innovative design when it comes to the side air intakes, replacement front fenders with large vents above the wheels. A pair of side skirts with new scoops, a replacement for the rear bumper together with a very aggressive looking rear diffuser, and let’s not forget that stunning rear wing that sits high above the additional duck tail rear wing.

<img decoding="async" class="wp-image-1136 size-full" src="https://www. Com

All parts are made in Los Angeles, California in the well-known 2×2 weave, vacuum infused and over cured for strenght and lightness, you can opt for either a glossy or a matte finish UV protection clear coat, the body kit can be installed in the shop in Los Angeles, but note this kit is made to order and takes about 3 to 4 weeks to manufacture.

The rear wing and the inserts into the front bumper can be ordered either in exposed carbon fiber or primered for paint, whichever you prefer, the price remains the same, $38,888.00 at the time of writing. To order your kit, take a look at the Fusion Motor Company website.

LB Performance has just released a few renders on they brand new body kit for the Lamborghini Aventador S. We all know the low riding, extremely wide fender kits from Kato-San, but not all his work is for the LB-Works limited edition models … he also offers a more refined style that can be installed easier and that doesn’t make the already wide Lamborghini Aventador even wider.

This new kit is also available in dry carbon fiber, a first for LB-Performance, pricing has been set at $17,400 for the entire kit in FRP, while the dry carbon fiber version is listed at $28,850 (prices correct at the time of writing)

The complete Aventador S kit contains a very nice front diffuser that is fitted underneath the standard bumper, complete with two vertical fins on the side, an impressive side sill … again with a vertical fin in front of the rear wheels, for stabilization, and an aggressively styled rear lower diffuser, which also seems to be installed onto the standard bumper and still uses the original exhaust tip.

The massive rear wing is a ‘hanging’ style design, something we’ve seen on the Aventador SV already, but the LB-Performance unit shows more resemblance with the Super Trofeo unit with larger vertical struts.

Naturally, the rendered version is showing an Airrex suspension, Kato-San likes his cars to be very low to the street, and this Aventador S is no exception, a set of center lock cross-spoke wheels complete the look.

But the render also shows a few items that are not (yet) listed on the price list from LB-Performance … check out the vents in front of the rear wheels, they are finished in carbon fiber too … and more importantly, the impressive front hood we’ve seen on the LB-Works Aventador Limited with the integrated air vents is also fitted onto this Aventador S … so we might be seeing this offered as an option soon.

For more information, or to order your kit for the Aventador S in your garage, get in touch with LB-Performance …

1016 Industries is already well established as a tuner for high-end supercar, and naturally this includes the current Lamborghini range, they have tuned a few Aventador, but I guess the main focus has been set on the V10 Huracan model … and the Renato Aero Kit for this Bull looks absolutely amazing … and there is more to come.

At the moment the development of a dedicated aero kit for the Lamborghini Huracan Performante is almost finished, a public unveiling is imminent any moment now … but let’s take a look at the currently available Renato kit for the Huracan LP610-4 and Huracan RWD, in either Coupé or Spyder form.

this and many more photos of lamborghinis are available on www. Lambocars. Com

The Renato kit consists of a clear carbon fiber front lip, listed at US $ 5,750, this lip is made from 2×2 vacuum infused pre-preg carbon fiber with a UV blocking clear coating, the design continues the original lines of both the LP610-4 and the RWD (a different version of the front lip is available for either model) while extending further forward by about 3 inches. Using an angle of the lower section, the airflow underneath the body is improved while downforce is increased and the front radiator gets more air directed onto them, with the use of vertical fins on the side cool air is directed into the wheel wells better for better disk brake cooling.

The side skirts are made either from FRP ($6,500), carbon fiber ($7,500) or laminated carbon fiber ($9,200) and follow the original lines of the Huracan once again, only to add a vent just in front of the rear wheels that pushes air onto the rear disk brakes for better cooling and to create a more aggressive style on the side profile of the Huracan.

this and many more photos of lamborghinis are available on www. Lambocars. Com

The massive rear diffuser from 1016 Industries is currently only available for the Huracan LP610-4 model, at $7,350, this pre-preg carbon fiber unit once again looks impressive and effectively extends the profile of the Huracan for better airflow, end plates make sure the Bull remains stable, even at high speeds.

The rear wing made from carbon fiber is listed at $6,795 but comes with very nicely styled vertical struts and a carbon fiber base, the entire structure of this rear wing bolts directly to the frame of the Huracan for ultimate stability. But the best part are the possibilities for the struts … a customer has three options … the standard ones fix the rear wing in place with maximum downforce but a negative effect on top speed. You can also opt for the ‘short profile’ struts which are designed for top speed as the fin is set at a reduced pitch, but this setup still offers stability and downforce.

this and many more photos of lamborghinis are available on www. Lambocars. Com

A more recent addition to the Renato kit from 1016 Industries is the carbon fiber hood … which replaces the standard from hood on the Huracan with a motorsport-derived design showing two air vents (simulated scoops in fact), once again available in either FRP ($6,500), carbon fiber ($7,500) and laminated carbon fiber ($9,200), this custom hood maintains the use of the front luggage space while being lighter than the original unit from Lamborghini.

Just in case you want to have the power to match the looks on your Renato Huracan, 1016 Industries offers a custom ECU and TCU tune that will increase the original power output from 610hp to 640 hp and 448lb-ft of torque … add the custom exhaust system and your Huracan is pushed to 670 hp.

(prices correct at the moment of writing, for more information please contact 1016 Industries)

Lamborghini Hong Kong proudly presents the most iconic Raging Bull of all time, and the ultimate tribute to the centenary of Automobili Lamborghini founder Ferruccio Lamborghini’s birth – the legendary Centenario Coupe. Only 20 coupe and 20 roadster versions of the Centenario will be produced and all 40 cars have already been sold. This highly-exclusive masterpiece has been delivered to its lucky owner in Hong Kong by Kingsway Cars Limited, the sole authorized distributor for Automobili Lamborghini in Hong Kong.

This highly-anticipated Centenario Coupe is the first Centenario to be delivered in the entire Asia-Pacific region. This Centenario model in particular takes exclusivity to another level with its custom-requested full carbon-fibre exterior body in gloss finish, contrasted by the roof and lower-part in matt carbon-fibre finish – made possible by Lamborghini’s Ad Personam customization program.

The Centenario continues Lamborghini’s one-off strategy and demonstrates Lamborghini’s innovative design and engineering competencies. Using the V12 architecture, the Centenario’s naturally aspirated engine produces 770 hp and powers from 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, and from 0-300 km/h in 23.5 seconds with a top speed of more than 350 km/h. Braking from 100 km/h to standstill is achieved in 30 meters. A monocoque and body in full carbon fiber provide a low weight of 1,520 kg and a weight to power ratio of just 1.97 kg/hp.

<img decoding="async" class="wp-image-17773 size-full" src="https://www.
The car’s aerodynamic design includes an extending rear wing providing more downforce at high speeds. The introduction of rear-wheel steering provides increased agility and stability, and an innovative touchscreen provides connected infotainment, including internet browsing and Apple CarPlay.

Design and aerodynamics

The Centenario is the truest expression of Lamborghini’s commitment to new and inspirational design, allowing Lamborghini designers and engineers the freedom to create a technology demonstrator in the form of a limited edition.

The Centenario’s pure and essential lines are evident in a new design language throughout, demonstrating the quintessence of Lamborghini’s commitment to ‘form follows function’. The car has a permeability defined by the intakes, outlets and ducts that mark its aerodynamic superiority.

A mono line from front to back defines the recognizable Lamborghini contours, with long, low overhangs front and rear creating a clean, sensuous, mono-body shape. The Centenario measures 4.924 m long and 1.143 m high. Aerodynamic inlets made of several fins characterize both front and rear. Large air scoops in the front bonnet, while reminiscent of 1970s sports cars, are there for functionality: air is taken in through the car’s front contributing to downforce on the front axle.

<img decoding="async" class="wp-image-17775 size-full" src="https://www. Lambocars. Com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/centenario_hong_kong_5. Jpg" alt="https://www. Lambocars. Com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/centenario_hong_kong_5. Com

Furthermore, air flows through ducts within the front headlight casing and others in the side skirts and around the wheel arches, improving the airflow to the rear radiators and providing optimized cooling. The roof including air scoops, takes its styling from aeronautic cues, enhanced by a hexagonal carbon fibre and glass engine cover.

The body of the Centenario is defined in a gloss carbon fibre. The front bonnet, scissor door panels (always reserved for V12 models) and roof line are fluent, aerodynamic and organic: the lower parts in matt carbon fibre are functional, technical and dedicated to aerodynamic superiority, including front splitter, side skirts, wheel arches and rear diffuser.

The irregular wheel arches, both front and rear, are a defining feature of the Centenario, as they have been in other Lamborghini models. Accented in matt carbon fibre and concealing airflow ducts, they highlight the aerodynamic design of the car. The profile of the rear wheel arch particularly attracts attention, accentuating the Centenario’s rear-wheel steering. Pirelli P Zero tires, developed specifically for the rear-wheel steering, sit on exclusive 20″/21″ front/rear rims in forged and milled aluminum. The spokes’ fan shape, accented in carbon fibre, mask ducts extracting hot air from the carbon ceramic brakes, finished with a central-locking wheel nut sporting the Lamborghini bull logo.

<img decoding="async" class="wp-image-17776 size-full" src="https://www. Com

The integrated rear diffuser dominates the back of the car, its substantial dimension optimizing air flow distribution, maximizing the car’s downforce and aesthetically emphasizing the importance of aerodynamics in the Centenario.

Like many mechanical parts around the car, exposed to maximize heat exchange, the rear tires are visible, while floating in the void above the diffuser are the Centenario’s ‘Y’-shaped rear lights.

Seemingly suspended in air but attached at each end of the ‘Y’, the LED lights stretch the full width of the rear. The Centenario is as distinct at night as it is during the day.

An extendable rear wing is integrated in body when stationary or at low speeds to preserve the minimalist lines of the Centenario. According to vehicle dynamic conditions and Driving Mode chosen, the wing extends to 150mm and rotates up to 15 degrees for optimal aerodynamic efficiency in high performance conditions.

Power and performance

The Centenario takes Lamborghini’s V12 engine as its power plant, perfectly matching the dynamic potential of the car. The highly responsive engine, even at low revs, provides the unmistakable resonance and characteristics that only a naturally aspirated engine can. Uprated to provide an output of 770 hp (566 kW) and with the engine speed limiter raised from 8,350 rpm to 8,600 rpm, the Centenario’s is the most powerful engine produced by Lamborghini to date.

<img decoding="async" class="wp-image-17777 size-full" src="https://www. Lambocars. Com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/centenario_hong_kong_7. Jpg" alt="https://www. Lambocars. Com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/centenario_hong_kong_7. Com

Accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and from 0-300 km/h in just 23.5 seconds, the Centenario’s top speed is more than 350 km/h. Braking distances are equally impressive: from 100-0 km/h in just 30 m and from 300-0 km/h in 290 m.

Chassis and drive

The body of the Centenario is built entirely in carbon fiber, with a monocoque and all other body parts and trims in carbon fiber. With a dry weight of just 1,520 kg, the Centenario achieves a weight-to-power ratio of 1.97 kg/hp and a torsional stiffness of 35.000 Nm per degree.

With permanent four-wheel drive, the Centenario adopts a new Lamborghini rear-wheel steering system. At low speeds the rear tires turn in the opposite direction of the steering angle which leads to a virtual reduction of the wheelbase. This provides increased turning agility at low speeds, requiring less steering angle and a reduced turning radius. At high speeds the rear tires turn in the same direction of the steering angle which leads to a virtual increase of the wheelbase. As a result the rear-wheel steering provides increased stability and optimizes vehicle response. In the three Lamborghini driving modes, Strada, Sport and Corsa, the rear-wheel steering heightens the characteristics of each, particularly in lateral dynamics.

The Centenario is fitted with Lamborghini’s magneto rheological suspension and Lamborghini Dynamic Steering (LDS), especially tuned for the Centenario’s rearwheel steering and providing optimal responsiveness and driver feedback. Transmission is via Lamborghini’s Independent Shifting Rod (ISR) gearbox, providing a lightweight and emotive solution to achieving the fastest gearshifts possible.

Interior – luxury and functionality

The luxurious interior can be finished to each Centenario client’s specification. Sports seats in lightweight carbon fiber are included, with new stitching that features on the length of the dashboard, steering wheel, sunvisors, rocker covers, and the new inner door panels made of carbon fiber and Alcantara.

<img decoding="async" class="wp-image-17780 size-full" src="https://www.
Functionality and connectivity are essential features of the Centenario. Including satellite navigation, a high definition 10.1 inch touchscreen connects the Centenario driver to both the car and the outside world. Users may browse the internet, connect to email and social media and use online applications such as web radio. Apple CarPlay is included, allowing a safe, effective way to make calls, request directions, play music and access the functionality of an iPhone.

The infotainment system includes a sophisticated telemetry function: the Centenario provides ultimate performance, both on road and, should an owner wish, on track: as evidenced by space for two helmets in the front trunk! The highly sophisticated telemetry allows speeds, times, lateral and G forces to be recorded and even compared between different occasions and different drivers. Two optional interior cameras allow the drivers’ experiences to be recorded.

20 coupés and 20 roadsters

The Centenario will be produced as a limited edition, with only 20 coupés and 20 roadsters All 40 Centenario models are sold, to collectors and Lamborghini enthusiasts around the world. The company OPAC has been an important partner involved in the new model’s construction together with Lamborghini’s Research & Development department.

<img decoding="async" class="wp-image-17788 size-full" src="https://www.
Shown in Geneva in an entirely carbon fiber finish, clients can specify their Centenario to include exposed carbon fiber or any color and finish from Lamborghini’s Ad Personam personalization program.

The Centenario continues Lamborghini’s strategy of producing one-off cars and exclusive limited editions, which allow scope for exploring design and technology possibilities while heightening brand awareness. Starting with the Reventón and including the Sesto Elemento, Aventador J and Veneno, every car has proved its instant appeal, achieved iconic status, and increased in value.

Still the RSC Tuning aero kit managed to be different from the competition thanks to taking things serious straight from day one … RSC Tuning bought a white Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 so they could develop their kit 24/7 and actually see it in real life from different angles and in changing light … the perfect way to create a work of art.

<img decoding="async" class="wp-image-1261 size-full" src="https://www.
A first choice had to be made … start hand-molding the kit on the car or invest time and money in a 3D development … RSC Tuning went for the latter and scanned their Huracán with a laser to create CAD data that would allow the development of the aero kit on a computer, which would allow parts to be 3D printed to check fitment and attachment before using expensive carbon fiber to actually build the kit.

The design idea behind the carbon fiber aero kit for the Lamborghini Huracán was simple and difficult at the same time, Bill Waldock Jr., President of RSC Tuning wanted to bring a totally unique and exclusive design for the Huracán that would enhance the work of the Lamborghini design team … creating a car with clean surfaces, modern lines and sharp edges … while still making the Bull stand out from the rest.

The result was an almost Zen-like design inspired by minimalist and modern design principles for the exterior carbon fiber parts, note that RSC Tuning uses pre-impregnated carbon fiber in a cutting-edge autoclave, the entire kit is UV resistant and is made similar to Formula One material.

<img decoding="async" class="wp-image-1263 size-full" src="https://www.
The RSC Tuning Aero kit comes with two front splitters that are height adjustable to keep in mind the ground clearance of the already low riding Lamborghini Huracán, when mounted flush onto the front bumper they reduce the clearance by only .5″ … also keep in mind the front lift system on this Lamborghini that allows you to raise the front when driving onto an incline, the double bonded construction of these splitters also allows more protection against scraping without flaking the clear coat.

A carbon fiber center fin is also available to complete the front look, but the best looking part are those ‘eyelids’ … carbon fiber fins that are fitted inside the large front air intakes on the bumper, they really change the look of the Lamborghini Huracán for the better. A set of side sills with an upright just ahead of the rear wheels connect the front to the rear while a ‘slip on’ lower rear diffuser makes the back of the V10 Bull look a little more aggressive … however, that unique ducktail wing is what really sets the RSC Tuning kit apart.

<img decoding="async" class="wp-image-1262 size-full" src="https://www.
Just in case you are not satisfied with the factory original 610hp in the Huracán you can install the RSC Tuning performance software together with the RSC Tuning race exhaust … power output goes up to 680hp … hence the LP680 designation for the RSC Tuning Huracán.

The impressive HRE wheels have been fitted to this car by Wheels Boutique in Miami, these are the HRE P2 series P201 units in 9×20 inch up front and 12.5×21 inch at the rear, Pirelli tires in 245/30ZR20 and 325/25ZR21 were mounted.

VOS Performance created the ‘Final Edition’ package for the Lamborghini Huracán consisting of a €1,490 front lip in clear carbon fiber that fits the standard front bumper of the V10 Bull, a new rear diffuser that comes in at €6,990 and an option of two different rear wings, the fixed ‘Pur Vida’ zero neutral fixed rear wing will set you back €7,490 while the adjustable ‘Torneo’ rear wing is listed at €9,900. The finishing touch comes in the form of a €1,190 set of caps to be fitted to the rear view mirrors and a €490 fuel filler cap … all in clear carbon fiber finish.

The list of carbon fiber parts continues for the interior, starting with the door sill inlays at €690, a frame to be fitted on the top area of the central console (€595) and two side panels for the same console (€1,290). The hexagon air vents on top of the dashboard of the Huracán can also be covered in a carbon fiber finish for €1,690 while the door handles are listed at €1,190 and those shift paddles behind the steering wheel switch to a carbon fiber finish for €2,190.

<img decoding="async" class="wp-image-13649 size-full" src="https://www.
For €1,190 the covers on the switches found on the factory original steering wheel can receive the same carbon fiber finish, but for €1,690 you’ll get a completely custom made steering wheel in leather or Alcantara combined with carbon fiber … one final option from VOS Performance is the €990 panel on top of the dashboard pod.

Looks are one thing, but with an impressive aerodynamic kit on the Lamborghini Huracan Final Edition you will also need a custom exhaust system … the VOS Performance exhaust is listed at €6,900, adding 12hp to the V10 engine and 10 kg less weight … but an even more impressive sounding, Titan exhaust system from Akrapovic is available at €9,520 … the latter one adds about 20hp to the power output while weighing in at 20.5 kg less than the factory unit.

<img decoding="async" class="wp-image-13650 size-full" src="https://www.

Back in late 2013 Automobili Lamborghini SpA unveiled the Veneno Roadster, after earlier building only 3 customer units of the Veneno LP750-4 priced at €3,000,000 each before taxes, they decided the Veneno Roadster would see a production of 9 units in total with an MSRP of €3,300,000 this time … but like the Aventador J shown at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, the Veneno Roadster would not feature a roof … so that might have kept some people from buying her.

In August 2015 the impressive Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 Superveloce Roadster was unveiled in the Unites States of America, the absolute flagship in the Aventador lineup, and with 750hp she offered the same power as the limited edition Veneno Roadster … but unlike the latter this Roadster comes with two roof panels that can be fitted in case you get caught in the rain.

The Aventador Superveloce Roadster was also a limited edition, but with 500 units and a more reasonable price of €357,000 or US$ 530,075 this supercar was the next best thing after the multi-million Veneno Roadster … do note that all 500 units sold out quickly, and prices quickly went up to $700,000 and more, but that’s still a lot less than the Veneno naturally.

As an option the Aventador Superveloce (both Coupé and Roadster) could be fitted with an amazing looking, center lock Diantus wheel, with the nut available in either black or red … but what if you really liked those Veneno wheels? Fear not, there are a few possible options you could follow up on.

First up is the 7-Razze wheel from the Accessori Originali catalog from Lamborghini, which is in fact the original wheel from the Veneno but without the carbon fiber ring, Lamborghini even offers a conversion kit to change the original five bolt wheel hub to a center lock version just in case you didn’t order the Diantus wheels on the Superveloce, or you want to install the 7-Razze on a regular Aventador.

But you would prefer a carbon fiber version of the 7-Razze Veneno wheel? Now what … again not a problem, at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show none other than Mansory showed their interpretation of the 7-Razze, finished with a clear carbon fiber ring … while not exactly the same as the Veneno wheel, it does come very close indeed as can be seen on the one-off built for James Stunt.

In comes Vitesse AuDessus, based in Bethesda USA and offering a replica of the 7-Razze in a clear carbon fiber finish, or if you prefer the Diantus wheels you can also have that one in carbon fiber now, and Vitesse AuDessus doesn’t stop at wheels alone … they do offer a few different styles, all in carbon fiber, but the best is yet to come … carbon fiber exterior parts for the Aventador Superveloce.

First up we have the ‘Essentials Package’ offered at $15,525 (add $20,000 for a set of carbon fiber wheels by the way) which comes with a new lower front bumper, mirror covers, mirror mounts, side sills and a lower rear diffuser … all in clear carbon fiber to replace the parts that come with a satin black finish from the factory in Sant’Agata, Vitesse AuDessus offers either a glossy finish or a matte finish to match the other, matte carbon fiber parts on the Aventador Superveloce.

The ”Extended package’ adds a carbon fiber hood to the above for a total of $22,275 without wheel naturally, when buying the carbon fiber wheels without any of the two packages you are looking at $25,000 a set by the way, and they come in the Diantus style, the 7-Razze design … and a few in-house developments.

If all these prices are just a little too high for you after just signing over the price of admission into the Aventador Superveloce club you can always take a look at the vast list of carbon fiber parts offered by Vitesse AuDessus for your new V12 … from a $950 ‘Fuel door’ over a $10,525 set of front fenders with louvers to a staggering $18,750 for a pair of replacement doors in light weight carbon fiber … take a look at the complete list in their Catalog.

At the moment we can only find 3D renders of everything they offer, their website and their FaceBook profile show lots of images, but up to now only renders … would be great to see an actual Aventador Superveloce with all those carbon fiber parts installed rolling on lightweight Veneno wheels … they state their carbon fiber wheels are 25kg lighter than the original rims.

Back in March 2016 we witnessed the unveil of the new Lamborghini Centenario LP770-4, the limited edition model to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the late Ferruccio Lamborghini … which is the first model on which the customer can order a complete carbon fiber finish, a €300,000 option mind you, up to that moment you couldn’t order this on any Lamborghini straight from the factory.

But DMC showed a very impressive Aventador SV, or Spezial Version in a stunning, satin gloss carbon fiber finish combined with a glossy finish on their aerodynamic parts … mind you the DMC SV was first presented back in 2012, years ahead of the factory Aventador Super Veloce … DMC limited the production of their SV to only 10 units worldwide, and customers would have to sign an agreement stating no two DMC Aventador SV would be finished in the same shade.

The DMC SV front bumper design was inspired by the one of a kind Aventador J with that unique upright while a beautiful side fin was added for increased stability at speed, a large rear wing inspired by the one used on the Murciélago Super Veloce was added and the entire rear section, including the rear bumper and lower diffuser were replaced by DMC parts too … all finished in clear carbon fiber.

This specific DMC Aventador Spezial Version received a set of dual five spoke wheels with a white outer rim while just about every part of the visible bodywork was wrapped in this stunning 3M vinyl showing a satin carbon fiber look … which combines extremely well with the glossy (or wet) carbon fiber of the aerodynamic parts.

I know Mansory can deliver their Carbonado bodywork in real carbon fiber for the entire car, but having a wrap looking this good is a lot cheaper for one, and can be removed to reveal the original paint again when it comes to part with the car … in the end a wrap might not be such a bad idea after all.

At the 2015 Geneva Auto Show famous tuner Mansory presented their interpretation of the Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4, called her the Torofeo using inspiration from the Blancpain Super Trofeo one make racing series being held in Europe, America and Asia. The bright blue metallic Mansory Torofeo drew a lot of attention in Geneva showing a perfect carbon fiber weave on the body and a custom pattern on the interior.

The Geneva show car received a pair of turbochargers and a lot of engine work to put out 1,000 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque … but now Mansory comes up with an evolution of that car, dressed completely in a satin matte carbon fiber suit and dropping 1,250hp onto the street.

The entire Mansory Torofeo shows clear carbon fiber now, which isn’t too difficult for this company as they have their own, in-house autoclave to produce this lightweight material to the exact specs they want, the result is a Huracan with a completely new design … the base is still visible, but there are so many parts that have been replaced by Mansory you could argue if this is still a Lamborghini … or a Mansory.

To clear up that question … this is a Mansory Torofeo and no longer a Lamborghini Huracan, if you look closely at this car you will notice there is no Raging Bull crest or Lamborghini script to be found anywhere … except on the engine, which in case of a Mansory Torofeo has been taken apart completely to be fitted with bespoke Mansory parts, two bearing-mounted turbochargers and a custom made exhaust system … the result is 1,250 hp at 8,250 rpm (from 610 hp) and an electronically limited torque of 1,000 Nm.

The four wheel drive system has been left intact while top speed is now 340 Km/h from this turbocharged V10, acceleration figures from 0 to 100 Km/h in only 2.7 seconds are just mind blowing if you take into account the wide 245/30ZR20 and 325/25ZR21 tires mounted on 9×20 and 12.5×21 inch forged alloy wheels … installing a set of lowering springs deducted 25 mm from the ride height.

With all that visible carbon fiber on this Mansory Torofeo you might just miss some of the tweaks they did between the Geneva show car and this sinister looking evolution … up front that completely new bumper looks to be the same, the air intakes are massive and the outer ones show two fins each that are in fact LED driving lights, but the front hood looks different, with a more pronounced Y-shape extrusion, mimicing the one we’ve seen on the doors of the Mansory Carbonado … the 1,250hp Aventador based Bull.

And that’s not all, look at the doors of this Mansory Torofeo … those Y-shapes are present there too, almost identical to the ones seen on that Mansory Carbonado, a very nice touch and attention to detail … you either love it, or hate it I guess. I would say I admire it, Mansory makes creating carbon fiber cars like this look easy … and as long as they keep it satin finished I rather like it.

The front fenders on the Mansory Torofeo are in fact 30 mm wider compared to the original Huracan, while at the rear they expand 40 mm beyond the factory V10, here that extra room is needed for a pair of vertical air intakes feeding cool air into the engine compartment, looking at the new engine cover I found two more, triangular intakes next to a stunning trio of glass panels that remind me of the limited edition Lamborghini Reventon.

Naturally a pair of special side sills and custom made, exterior rear view mirror housings are more details that make this Mansory Torofeo really stand out, and the best is yet to come … just take a closer look at the rear of this car. The entire rear diffuser and bumper has been replaced with an intricate, new design that took inspiration of the Aventador J while the rear wing is a Super Veloce derived unit.

If Mansory can create a totally custom exterior on these Lamborghini you might wonder about the interior, but this is also one of Mansory’s trademarks … nothing inside this V10 has been left factory, there is new carbon fiber, new upholstery, a special steering wheel … even the door panels now show a new stitching pattern … Mansory artisans can create a bespoke interior for every customer.

I can’t wait to see this car in real life, most likely at the 2015 IAA Motor Show in Frankfurt.

Let’s say you really like the looks of the Aventador LP720-4 but missed out on the production run of only 100 units each for the Coupé and the Roadster, while the prospect of paying a serious premium to acquire one today isn’t really up your alley … in that case MVM Automotive Design might offer just the right option for you.

MVM Automotive Design has been creating a very nice albeit aggressive looking aerodynamic kit for both the Aventador and the Aventador Roadster … and you can’t really miss the obvious here … this kit took some serious inspiration from the LP720-4 evolution, but MVM went further with additional fins and best of it all … a clear carbon fiber finish on these parts.

While on the factory original LP720-4 the front bumper and rear section are satin black (one owner of an LP720-4 Roadster had these parts painted in glossy black which looks really great) MVM Automotive Design went for an ‘autoclave’ carbon fiber production … in fact they claim the design of these parts and the larger air intakes offer an increase of aerodynamic efficiency as high as 50% compared to the original Aventador.

The rear section of the MVM Aventador is totally different too, very open and finished in visible carbon fiber, this new design makes sure the engine cooling is much improved while a custom exhaust system will make the Bull roar even louder … they even offer a ‘Bi-Plane’ rear wing for additional down force, which you might need when you read about their engine preparation.

By modifying the engine management software and installing a new exhaust system the power output grows to 754hp at 8,300 rpm with a torque output of 750 Nm at 6,000 rpm … acceleration from standstill to 100Km/h takes 2.8 seconds while the top speed is 355 Km/h in this tune.

MVM Automotive Design claims to offer a twin turbocharger installation on the original V12 … power output will grow from the standard 700hp (515 kW) up to a massive 1,600hp (1,176 kW), at the same time the torque grows so high it has been electronically limited at 1,200 Nm … let’s talk some more figures here: acceleration from 0 to 100km/h in only 2.1 seconds while a top speed in excess of 370 Km/h is listed.

In fact MVM Automotive Design is claiming their Aventador will be able to gain the title of ‘Fastest Aventador in the world’ when they are finished with their testing on the track … how about a top speed of 420Km/h?

On some of the photos the wheels shown remind us of the ones used on the Reventon, only this time they’ve grown quite a bit, at the front MVM will install 9.0×20 inch with 255/30ZR20 tires while the rear receives 13x21inch with 355/25ZR21 rubber … note these wheels also feature carbon fiber insets to correspond with the aerodynamic parts.

The interior can be modified to the customer’s taste in style with what Mansory has to offer, different leather, custom stitching, lots of clear carbon fiber … just about everything is possible.

For more information you can get in touch with MVM Automotive Design at www.lamborghinituning.ru

In the year of its 50th anniversary Automobili Lamborghini is presenting an extremely exclusive model at the Geneva Motor Show 2013. Only three unique units of the Lamborghini Veneno will be built and sold. Its design is consistently focused on optimum aerodynamics and cornering stability, giving the Veneno the real dynamic experience of a racing prototype, yet it is fully homologated
for the road. With a maximum output of 552 kW / 750 hp, the Veneno accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and the top speed for this street-legal racing car stands at 355 km/h. It is priced at three million Euros plus tax – and all three units have already been sold to customers.

The Lamborghini Veneno features a twelve-cylinder power unit with a displacement of 6.5 liters, an extremely fast-shifting 7-speed ISR transmission with 5 driving modes and permanent all-wheel drive, as well as a racing chassis with pushrod suspension and horizontal spring/damper units. Above all, however, the Veneno benefits from the very special expertise that Automobili Lamborghini possesses in the development and execution of carbon-fiber materials – the complete chassis is produced as a CFRP monocoque, as is the outer skin of this extreme sports car. The inside, too, features innovative, Lamborghini-patented materials such as Forged Composite and CarbonSkin.

Fully in keeping with the tradition of the brand, the name of the Veneno originates from a legendary fighting bull.
Veneno is the name of one of the strongest and most aggressive fighting bulls ever. He is also famous for being one of the fastest bulls in the history of bullfighting. His name became popular in 1914, when he fatally wounded the famous torero José Sánchez Rodríguez during the bullfight in the arena Sanlúcar de Barrameda’s, Andalusia, Spain.

The Design
The Lamborghini Veneno brings the aerodynamic efficiency of a racing prototype to the road. Every detail of its form pursues a clear function – exceptional dynamics, optimum downforce with minimal drag and perfect cooling of the high-performance engine. Yet the Veneno is unmistakably a Lamborghini; it sticks firmly to the consistent design philosophy of all the super sports cars from Sant’Agata Bolognese. That includes the extreme proportions, as well as the powerfully arrow-shaped front end and the interplay between razor-sharp lines and precise surfaces.

The entire front end of the Lamborghini Veneno has been laid out for perfect airflow and downforce. The front end works as a large aerodynamic wing. Large channels guide the air to the outlets in the front hood and in front of the windshield, as well as to the front wheels. Characteristic for Lamborghini is the Y shape of the angular headlamps that reach well into the fenders as well as the scissor doors.
The division of the fenders from the car body is a reference to the world of sport prototypes and optimizes at the same time the aerodynamic flow. The side line of the Veneno is therefore dominated by enormous sills and the mighty wheel arches front and rear. Here, too, sophisticated aerodynamics ensure perfect airflow to the large openings for engine cooling and intake air.

Just like the front end, the rear of the Veneno has also been optimized for underbody aerodynamics and high speed cornering stability. The smooth underbody transitions into a substantial diffuser framing the four sizable exhaust pipes divided by a splitter to increase the level of downforce peak.
Large openings serve to ventilate the engine bay and manage the airflow to the rear wing, with the only sealed area at the rear being reserved for the license plate. The rear lights, including brake lights, indicator lights and fog lights, pick up the Y theme as well. The engine cover sports six wedge-shaped openings, with the focus here, too, on optimum dissipation of heat from the engine. The engine cover extends into a large central ‘shark’ fin, which improves efficiency during braking and rear-end stability, by delivering additional downforce at high yaw angles and thus increasing the high-speed cornering performance.

The adjustable rear wing’s design is the product of Motorsport experience and extensive aerodynamic simulation to ensure the best performance of rear wing interaction with rear diffuser air flow.

The exclusive alloy wheels measure 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear and are equipped with center mountings. Their design is also determined by aerodynamic functionality – a carbon-fiber ring around the wheel rim works like a turbine to deliver additional cooling air to the carbon-ceramic brake discs.

The Veneno is painted in an all-new, grey metallic-look color with individual parts gleaming in the black of the visible carbon-fiber structure. The only car to display all three colors of the Italian flag as an accent is the car shown at Geneva, the unit which will remain property of Lamborghini. The three cars sold to customers each feature a single color of the Italian national flag, together a triology in green, white and red accents and thus representing each a unique piece.

The Technology
The Veneno is further proof of Automobili Lamborghini’s unique competence in CFRP-based lightweight design. A monocoque made from carbon-fiber reinforced polymer forms the basis of the Veneno. It is largely similar to the Aventador monocoque – as are the aluminum sub-frames front and rear – although its form has been adapted to the new design. All exterior parts are made from CFRP. The Veneno meets all safety and registration requirements worldwide, and naturally also incorporates a full complement of safety systems from airbags through to the adapted ESP handling system.

Carbon fiber dominates the interior of the Veneno, too. The carbon fiber monocoque becomes visible inside the car in the area of the central tunnel and the sills. The two lightweight bucket seats are made from Lamborghini’s patented Forged Composite. The woven carbon-fiber CarbonSkin® is used to clad the entire cockpit, part of the seats and the headliner. This unique material is soaked in a very special kind of resin that stabilizes the fiber structure, while allowing the material to remain supple. Like a hi-tech fabric, this extremely fine-looking carbon-fiber matting fits perfectly to any form, and it reduces weight.

The racing personality has been transferred also to the instrument panel. It has been completely redesigned and now, thanks to an aggressive graphics and to the introduction of some additional features like the G-meter, provides all necessary information to the driver for control of the car.

The systematic, carbon-fiber, lightweight design of the Veneno is not only visible, it is also evident on the scales: With a dry weight of just 1,450 kilograms (3,190 pounds), the Veneno is even 125 kilos (275 pounds) lighter than the already extremely lean Aventador. The highly beneficial power-to-weight ratio of 1.93 kg/hp (4,25 lbs/hp) guarantees a performance that is nothing short of mind-blowing. Even the stunning acceleration figure of 2,8 seconds cannot adequately describe it. Despite an aerodynamic setup configured for extreme downforce, the Veneno possesses exceptionally low wind resistance which allows it to reach a top speed of 355 km/h (221 mph).

The twelve-cylinder with a displacement of 6.5 liters is a thrilling combination of absolute high-revving frenzy and phenomenal pulling power. Its output has been raised to 552 kW / 750 hp, facilitated through enlarged intake paths, optimized thermodynamics, a slightly higher rated rpm and an exhaust system with even lower back pressure. The ISR manual gearbox, permanent all-wheel drive and pushrod suspension have all been specifically adjusted to meet the demands of the Veneno.

The Lamborghini Veneno celebrates its first public appearance at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The vehicle on show is the number 0, the Lamborghini test vehicle. Its future has not been determined yet, but it will allow Lamborghini to continue its activity of testing and innovation, both on the road and on the race track. The trilogy made of three unique vehicles will be produced in the course of the year 2013 and handed over to their future owners.

The fact the MY2013 Aventador will come with cylinder deactivation is well known already, but the flagship V12 Raging Bull will also get an innovative start/stop system, and I mention it to be innovative as it isn’t the usual system … instead Lamborghini went for the ‘supercap’ option that allows a re-start in only 180 milliseconds, which happens to be a lot quicker compared to more conventional start/stop systems.

That takes car of the red traffic lights, but there is more … when you don’t need 700 hp or when driving less than 135 Km/h you will effectively be using only one cylinder bank … this means you’re behind the wheel of an inline six cylinder Lamborghini with a rather hefty price tag. But fear not, putting your foot down will awake all 12 cylinders behind you almost instantly and unleash the full 700 horsepower again.

Now most reports would mention only the above two items, as these will reduce emission by as much as 20% at regular highway speeds, do note however the CO2 emission on the Aventador is still a solid 370 g/kg … but Lamborghini has changed a few other, very important items too for their 2013 evolution of the LP700-4.

The dampers have been modified and the springs used have been made harder to improve the ride even more in combination with mild chassis changes for the 2013 edition … now that’s all very nice and surely important to comply with future legislation, but let’s face it … you don’t really notice all this from the outside of the Aventador, so what’s changing in the ‘looks’ department ?

Other companies would make a big headline about this, but Automobili Lamborghini SpA isn’t … just take a second look at the black wheels on this red Aventador … these are the new for 2013 Dione rims, massive 20-inch up front and even larger 21-inch at the back, available in either glossy silver metallic, matte titanium metallic or the glossy black finish seen on this car … but if you really insist you can order them in a high gloss chrome finish through the Ad Personam program.

On another note Automobili Lamborghini SpA introduced the carbon fiber option pack on the Aventador, something various third party tuners have been building for a while now … carbon fiber reinforced plastic parts on the outside of the Raging Bull. Just about every air intake and outlet can now be finished in clear carbon fiber straight from the factory, and it doesn’t stop there either, the front spoiler lip in the middle receives the same lightweight material as does the large, lower diffuser at the rear of the car.

So where will we encounter this carbon fiber? On the angular air intakes in the front bumper, on the spoiler lip in the middle of the front bumper, on the small air outlets just in front of the windshield, on the air intakes behind the side windows, on the large air intake on the side of the Aventador, on the air vents at the back and on the lower diffuser at the rear. And that’s only on the outside, the carbon fiber treatment continues inside the engine bay where the cover behind the engine is completely finished in carbon fiber too.

Let’s open the door … even more carbon fiber here, the door handles can be finished in clear carbon fiber instead of the standard silver, but also the edge of the dashboard cluster receives a nice, glossy carbon fiber look as does the central console, the actual switches look the same but some of them had their designation been changed for the 2013 model year.

So the cylinder deactivation and the new start/stop system might be very important from an environmental point of view, but you have to admit those carbon fiber parts both outside and inside the MY2013 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 make it look so much better … just imagine a Nero Nemesis bodywork with high gloss carbon fiber parts … I’m sure it would be stunning.

Capristo is a well-known name in the tuning circuit, the exhausts from this German based manufacturer are famous all over the world, and they have been building custom exhaust systems for just about every exotic super car available over the last years … now the Lamborghini Aventador has joined the list.

Capristo managed to create an exhaust system from T309 steel that really awakens the beast inside the V12 flagship from Sant’Agata, in fact Capristo can install a remote control system to activate flaps inside the exhaust to make it sound a bit more civilized … however the German TUV still didn’t like it so they wouldn’t give a certificate allowing road use of this thundering exhaust, so in theory you are not allowed to drive an Aventador with this exhaust system on the open road … only during track days on an enclosed circuit.

On a different note this new exhaust does shave 40kg from the overall weight of the Aventador which might not sound too impressive considering the Lamborghini puts 1575kg on the scale when she leaves the factory … but every single pound saved helps, and according to Capristo the sprint from standstill to 100 Km/h is now 0.1 seconds faster compared to an Aventador with the factory original exhaust system.

Sound is one thing, but we all know looks are important too, and while we admit Capristo isn’t a cosmetic tuner they do offer an interesting package to dress up the Lamborghini Aventador … in carbon fiber, what else?

The list of parts is rather impressive, and the best news is they all fit straight onto the original mounting points, Capristo calls them OEM parts in fact, and as they are made from lightweight carbon fiber they tend to reduce overall weight even further.

At the rear of the Aventador the lower diffuser around that brand new exhaust system is replaced, the air outlet surrounds at the back, the intakes on the side of the car, the intakes behind the side windows, the original rear wing, the exterior rear view mirrors, the fins on the outlets in front of the windshield, the front splitter in the middle of the front bumper, the surrounds on the air intakes in the front bumper … all replaced by mat finish carbon fiber units from Capristo.

And they haven’t finished yet, open the front hood and the entire black sections underneath are replaced by carbon fiber ones, same thing inside the engine compartment … just about everything around the V12 engine can be carbon fiber … and while the parts on these photos all have a mat finish, it is possible to have them clear coated.

Bottom line: just about every part that can be unscrewed on the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 can be replaced by carbon fiber parts from Capristo, making your Aventador look very special … keep in mind the 2013 model year for the Aventador also offers some optional carbon fiber parts, but not as extensive as Capristo however.

We were all a bit disappointed when the Lamborghini Aventador Roadster didn’t see the light of day at the last Geneva Auto Show, instead Automobili Lamborghini SpA decided to go for a one of a kind, ultra racing look open top Jota edition … which let’s face the facts, doesn’t even offer a roof of any kind.

Still they managed to sell this beauty very quickly, when we were able to see it at the press day in early March 2012 it was already sold to one lucky owner, and as only one will be built, it didn’t leave any options for all those other open top drivers that want a V12 flagship model … sure the Gallardo Spyder and Performante look and drive great, but nothing beats a V12 just inches behind your head howling through a tunnel with the top down.

We did hear the rumor that the Aventador Roadster is 99.99% ready to be built, we’ve even seen the spy shots of the Roadster during testing, a lot of tape was used to try and hide the fact that specific car was not a regular closed coupé edition, but it was obvious there was some kind of removable roof in place on that one, heck there was even talk about an actual Roadster being hiding from the public at the Geneva Auto Show … but that was never officially confirmed.

At the Beijing show the Urus concept SUV was shown and now we will probably have to wait until the Paris Auto Show in September before anything new will be published officially from Automobili Lamborghini SpA … but that doesn’t mean there are people out there that know more about the Aventador Roadster.

If you can go on the information that is currently in the open … totally unconfirmed and unofficial naturally … we could be seeing an Aventador Roadster that doesn’t look too different compared to the current, closed version. Rumor has it the Roadster will be receiving a two-section, carbon fiber roof configuration, which would be a very practical solution in the end … we all remember how much fun it was to put the roof in place on the Murciélago Roadster, especially when it started pouring down.

So putting the roof in place on an Aventador Roadster could become a walk in the park so to say, just put the two lightweight sections back in place, fix them and you are ready to go. If you are able to take the roof with you when driving open top in the Aventador isn’t sure yet, but I think if they go through the hassle of ‘cutting’ the roof in two parts I’m sure it will fit in the front luggage compartment, probably inside a nice, luxurious bag … in Carbon Skin perhaps?

If Automobili Lamborghini SpA is going down this road it could also mean they will leave the glass engine cover of the closed coupé version in place, perhaps a little re-style or something, but it would mean an Aventador Roadster with the top in place wouldn’t look much different to the regular, probably cheaper, closed version at first glance … which might not please future owners of the Roadster.

Naturally keeping the engine cover, and even the regular LP700-4 engine in place for a Roadster version would be a massive cost saving decision for Lamborghini, but will it be enough to convince possible customers to pay a probably steep premium to be able to enjoy open top driving in the Lamborghini V12 flagship model? I would say it will, the experience of driving such an exotic without a roof in place is just priceless anyway, so if you can afford it I wouldn’t hesitate a second to put my order in, even today … so you are sure of getting one of the first customers cars when the Aventador Roadster is introduced.

Just in case you can’t wait it out any longer there is an alternative available, the only minor detail … it’s only a 1/18 scale model, and it is actually a hand built conversion to create what might look like the Aventador Roadster in real life … but even in small scale I must admit the idea this builder had is rather good looking, sure it’s a targa style look, but the windshield surrounds and the section of the roof in front of the engine cover gets a mat black finish … combined with the bright yellow bodywork it looks amazing … and what’s even better : you can get one right now, just get in touch with LamboDIECAST and ask about having one custom made just for you.

Only a few more weeks before Automobili Lamborghini SpA will unveil their brand new Murciélago successor, a car that is rumored to be called the LP700-4 Aventador … however no official statement about this name has been published to this date.

I’m almost certain that in the week running up to the press conference in Geneva we might see a few teaser shots, or at least more and more details about this upcoming flagship will get unveiled, like the latest press release about the all carbon fiber cell used for this new model.

Automobili Lamborghini has been heavily researching the extensive use of CFRP in their cars, carbon fiber reinforced polymer will be used all over the new model, the cell of the future car will be made completely from carbon fiber in a monocoque structure … just like Formula One cars … now where did we hear this before ? Right, from Automobili Lamborghini SpA in their previous press release talking about the pushrod suspension also used on their new ultra exotic road car.

The ‘cell’ of the future Lamborghini flagship includes the entire base section, also known as the tub and the actual roof of the car, making this one stiff construction to protect the driver and passenger in case of a crash by absorbing the energy made possible from the use of Braiding technology for the stiffening elements … but still this entire structure only weighs 147.5 Kgs (324.5 lbs).

With this lightweight monocoque the entire weight of the car could be kept to a bare minimum, note that the ‘body-in-white’ of this V12 super car will only put 229.5 kgs on the scales but still offer a torsional rigidity of a massive 35,000 Nm per degree of twist, a very impressive figure that will have a stunning impact on the driving pleasure of this new Raging Bull.

Do note that the entire monocoque is actually built by Lamborghini themselves, making the LP700-4 Aventador another ‘made in Sant’Agata’ beauty on wheels … and production is on it’s way I guess as official dealers have already received a manual on the LP700-4 with all possible options and shades. So my guess is that the first orders are already in, I wouldn’t be surprised if by the time the public gets to see the actual car in Geneva in early March the production run for the rest of the year is already sold out.
The Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 has been on the rumor mill for months now (of not years) so people have been putting their orders on hold for a new Lamborghini, production of the Murciélago has been halted months ago and the production line in Sant’Agata is ready to build the new model.

Several prototypes have been seen testing on the track and open road, recently we’ve even seen a video showing no less than two camouflaged cars on the open road, probably on durability testing in normal traffic, not everything can be found out on a closed track, so eventually even this new Lamborghini has been spotted in plain view.

One German based seller even lists the car online for purchase … probably nothing more than a marketing stunt, but still it shows that this new Lamborghini is highly anticipated by the public, among them several possible owners, so I’m sure the order book is filling up for this brand new model that will shape the super car market for at least the next decade, the competition will have to catch up again with the new Aventador.

The near final LP700-4 Aventador has been shown to VIP’s on invitation only, and they all agree this is the best Lamborghini for a long time, those that have been fortunate enough to be able to get a seat behind the steering wheel rave about the ergonomics of the new V12, she drives like a race car but still comfortable enough to take on a long trip.

Whatever the result will be that gets shown in Geneva, I’m sure we’ll get a ‘love it or hate it’ sensation, the same thing happened when the Murciélago took over from the Diablo … a totally different car, but still very much a Lamborghini. The same will be true for the Aventador, people don’t like change and start comparing the new car with the model it succeeds … and they are bound to find things they don’t like … but rest assured : the Lamborghini LP700-4 Aventador will rock the super car market much like the Miura did back in the Sixties and the Countach in the Seventies … this will be another milestone in the history of Automobili Lamborghini SpA.

You own a very nice Lamborghini Gallardo from the early series, you are quite happy with it, but lately that new LP570-4 Superleggera and the Super Trofeo race car have been catching your eye and you get more and more interested in putting a personal touch on your very own V10 Raging Bull.

In comes Tecnocraft who offer you the option to change your standard, factory looking Gallardo into something quite different, with a nice menacing look and a weight loss of some 300 lbs … how’s that for putting your Gallardo back on the track ?

Tecnocraft is located in the United States and they offer many parts for the Lamborghini Gallardo in lightweight carbon fiber … now most of the time we would recommend to leave a Lamborghini alone when it comes to tuning, as most of the time the result is worse than the original car, but in this case it is quite the contrary, we actually like the looks of this black show car … personally we wouldn’t mount all the decals on it, but that’s our opinion.

Things look different on the Tecnocraft Gallardo, and naturally that massive rear wing attracts most of the attention at first glance, and it isn’t for show only, this large aerofoil actually offers increased down force at the rear, so you should add the deeper front spoiler underneath the bumper too to balance the car out again … naturally also finished in carbon fiber.

And while you’re changing parts, why not replace the rear diffuser with a carbon fiber unit, just about all parts around the engine, the large air box and install some of the most beautiful carbon fiber backed sports seats ever seen in a Gallardo. Open the front hood and the entire luggage compartment is finished in carbon fiber too … if you do get into carbon than you go all the way right ?

Install some nifty 20-inch wheels and you’ve got one impressive looking Lamborghini Gallardo to admire, tweak the suspension a bit and you’ll be rewarded with a nice improvement in performance and road holding in your ‘personalized’ Raging Bull, because of the weight loss the carbon fiber parts offer the engine can be left ‘standard’ and you still get to where you are going faster … and better looking naturally.

And let’s not forget the thundering sound of the V10, the engine hasn’t been tuned, but judging from the tail pipes visible in one of these photographs I’m sure it doesn’t sound the same as the day it left the factory in Sant’Agata, that’s some very impressive and large exhaust pipe …

Again, tuning is a personal thing, and you either love it or hate it, but we are sure there is an audience for after market personalization of Lamborghini models, especially the Gallardo as the production numbers are so high, you might even get tempted to buy a standard one and store it in your garage while you have a second one modified heavily and driven daily … when it’s time to cash in your investment in 10 or 20 years I’m sure the standard one will be worth more than the customized one … take a look at the Countach, the narrow LP400 model is the most sought after now, not the wide and low S-models. But things are different now, there are actually thousands of Gallardo out there while there were only a handful of Countach LP400 ever made … so buying a Gallardo as an investment might not be the best idea … so buy one to drive in, that’s our take on it, enjoy it on the open road where it is meant to be instead of becoming a garage queen.

I was fortunate enough to get a Press accreditation to attend the 2010 edition of the Paris Motor Show late September, with the various teasers sent out by the Lamborghini Press office I was really looking forward seeing the Sesto Elemento concept car in real life. Driving by car to the Porte de Versailles where the Motor Show is held isn’t something I enjoy, but it had to be done, so when I finally arrived on the exhibition grounds the first stand I went to was the Automobili Lamborghini one naturally.

Center stage was taken by a stunning looking car, combining clear carbon fiber with high gloss red parts made it look as menacing as I imagined from the official press photos I saw earlier, getting a Press kit was a bit difficult as numbers were extremely limited understandable when I saw it, a stunning carbon fiber USB stick, needless to say that by noon there were no more press kits available, lucky me I left home at 5 in the morning to get to Paris in time.

The Sesto Elemento in Paris was a real concept car, but it was fully drivable nonetheless, powered by a 570 bhp V10 engine it has been driven hard before it was cleaned and parked on the Paris stand, thanks to the extensive use of lightweight carbon fiber just about everywhere on and inside the Sesto Elemento (which took it’s name from the fact that carbon is the sixth element on the periodical table) the overall weight of this new Raging Bull is just below the 1000 Kgs marker.

With these figures it isn’t difficult to get figures like an acceleration from 0 to 100 Km/h in a mere 2.5 seconds and a top speed well over 300 Km/h, but these figures don’t tell the entire story. Thanks to the low weight and extensive use of carbon fiber, the Sesto Elemento is very rigid and offers driving pleasure not possible in other cars the Sesto Elemento offers a totally new dimension experience behind the wheel of a supercar.

The Sesto Elemento might look angular from some angles, but every line in the design is there for a purpose, the two creases at the front lead to two red painted air outlets, while the double front spoiler firmly points forward. The headlights are paired with high power LED lights while at the rear we recognize the trademark y-shape LED first used on the Reventòn, while being at the rear you can’t miss the innovative exhaust pipes that surface and the basis of the rear wing and are triangular shaped, a shape that is used all over the Sesto Elemento as a design clue.

The engine cover is made in one piece and has two air intakes pointed forward and a total of ten, hexagon air outlets, reminiscent of the number of cylinders of the Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera engine used in this concept car, remember the Miura from the Sixties? Well the engine cover on the Miura also opened in one single unit just like on the Sesto Elemento today.

At the rear we also see a narrow bumper nearly floating on it’s own, something similar was first seen on the Diablo GT, the street legal edition of the GT-R race car, if this complies with laws on bumpers is highly unlikely, but according the officials on the stand there was absolutely no intention of putting this concept in production any time soon.

Opening the door on the Sesto Elemento unveils a very unconventional interior there are no seats in this Lamborghini, well not in the way we know car seats that is, the entire carbon fiber monocoque has seat shapes built into it. Nice red fabric inserts are being glued directly onto this monocoque and form a shell for the driver and passenger to sit on. Adjusting the steering wheel both in reach and height combined with the adjustable pedals should make most people fit more or less comfortable into the Sesto Elemento. A dashboard isn’t present either, instead you get a piece of art with triangular cut sections to reduce weight that flows into a central console holding only three buttons : one to start the engine, one to get into reverse and one to put on the lights that’s it.

If you take a close look at the Sesto Elemento you can distinguish the fact that the entire car actually consists of the monocoque with the roof, the front section including spoiler and air outlets, the entire rear section that holds the large rear wing and opens to unveil the V10 engine and the doors more body panels aren’t used on this concept car, talk about combining form and function in as little parts as possible.

People were very impressed with the Sesto Elemento rotating on it’s display in Paris, and several owners and enthusiasts were asking a price on this car with no answer from officials on the stand, this was a one off exercise to show the world what Lamborghini can do with carbon fiber on their super cars, safe to say the upcoming Murciélago replacement will use many things learned from building and testing the Sesto Elemento.

It was clear that this concept wasn’t meant to be unleashed onto the open road, too many legal problems with the design would prevent this from happening, however there was a small sprinkle of hope when one of the people on the stand actually mentioned a limited production possibility of a Sesto Elemento that wasn’t street legal ? Are we talking about a track car, or a car that can only be used on private roads I have no idea, but it would really be nice to be able to see a derivative of the Sesto Elemento concept car actually being built, even in very limited numbers.
