Who is Dennis Collins?

Dennis Collins, known from “Fast N’ Loud” on the Discovery Channel alongside his longtime friend Richard Rawlings, is a lifelong entrepreneur from Texas. His expertise in vintage cars and Jeeps is unparalleled. While he may not rival Bill Gates in wealth, his journey to becoming a respected figure in the car world is quintessentially American.

For over 33 years, Dennis has owned the Collins Brothers Jeep in Wylie, Texas. This dealership is far from ordinary. Located just 30 minutes north of Dallas, it’s recognized as one of the most active and esteemed restoration shops nationally and perhaps globally. Annually, they complete over 70 full restorations of various Jeep models and 200 custom JK builds. Dennis Collins Jeep Collection

Collins has an impressive collection of 28 classic Jeep CJs, featuring models like the CJ5, CJ7, and CJ8, all in excellent shape. In a YouTube video, he revealed his intention to sell this collection for $1 million.

1950 Jeep CJ-5

The CJ series represents the last Jeep model directly linked to the legendary World War II vehicle, initially developed by American Bantam in 1940. In anticipation of wartime demands, the production of the General Purpose scout car — later abbreviated to GP or “Jeep” — was undertaken jointly by Ford and Willys-Overland.

The concept of a “civilian Jeep,” which would eventually be known as the “CJ,” began in 1942. This was when the U.S. Department of Agriculture began testing the vehicle for agriculture. Post-war, Willys continued manufacturing Jeeps, gradually introducing them to the consumer market, mainly for farming and off-road activities.

Dennis owns several CJ-5 Jeeps, with a fully restored model valued up to $50,000. These Jeeps offer various engine options, including a V8 for added power. One notable piece in his collection is a 1981 CJ-5 Laredo with just 49,000 miles, featuring a custom V8 engine installed by Dennis Collins.

Ford Mustang ‘The Super Boss’

Part of Collins’ collection is the extremely rare Ford Mustang, ‘The Super Boss,’ one of the most expensive Mustangs ever. This supercharged powerhouse, boasting over 1000 horsepower, was sold at the Barrett Jackson Auction for $116,000.

Lamborghini Gallardo Super Trofeo

In 2009, the thrilling partnership between the legendary sports car manufacturer Automobili Lamborghini and the renowned Swiss watchmaker Blancpain gave rise to the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo. This collaboration echoed the spirit of the famous Ferrari Challenge racing series but took it a step further, earning the title of the “world’s fastest one-make racing series.” The series featured eighteen exciting rounds at various famous European race tracks, often coinciding with major events like the German DTM, FIA GT, and FIA WTCC.

This extremely rare 2013 Lamborghini Gallardo Super Trofeo, complete with its Certificate of Origin from Automobili Lamborghini, is a standout auction item, possibly the only one of its kind. The car has a powerful 5.2L V-10 engine with direct fuel injection, capable of an impressive 620 horsepower. This immense power is controlled by a six-speed E-Gear sequential paddle-shift transmission, feeding into the car’s permanent all-wheel-drive system.

1990 7-UP Special Edition Ford Mustang

Initially, Ford had planned a minimal production of only 30 7-Up Fox-body Mustangs, intended as prizes for a 1990 NCAA basketball finals giveaway. However, when the giveaway was canceled, Ford produced 5,000 vehicles to mark the Mustang’s 25th anniversary.

These exclusive 7-Up LX convertible Mustangs featured the Fox-body era’s robust 5.0L V8 engine, capable of delivering an impressive 255 horsepower. Each car was adorned in a vivid Deep Emerald Green clearcoat metallic paint, with a white leather interior and a matching white convertible roof.

With only 16 miles clocked on the odo, the Special Edition car was perhaps one of the most pristine examples worldwide, which he later sold at an auction for $82,500.

1972 Dodge Charger Rally Edition

Dennis Collins not only sells refurbished cars, but on occasion, he offers a rare car that needs attention but has features that make it a good buy.

An example is this 1972 Dodge Charger Rally Edition. Collins claims that this car may be one of only 160 factory-equipped with the following set of options. The car includes the top-of-the-line engine, 440 Magnum, with a 4-barrel carburetor and a net rating of 280 bhp.

It is painted Hemi orange with door indents indicating the Rally edition and includes L37 concealed headlights, an N96 fresh air hood (only 160 cars were made with the N96), factory hood pins, Rally dash, and bucket seats (no bench seat). The car comes with the original radio, power steering, and power brakes. Although the car needed the transmission rebuilt, Collins offered this Charger for $19,800.

Ferrari F40

The originally red Ferrari, belonging to a Houston business person, was left in the care of a mechanic while its owner traveled to Europe. Unfortunately, the mechanic damaged the car by crashing it into an iron fence. Despite the extensive damage to the frame and the vehicle appearing irreparable, Gas Monkey Garage accepted the formidable task of restoring it. This remarkable restoration process was showcased in an episode of “Fast N’ Loud.”

The rejuvenated supercar emerged with enhancements surpassing its original specifications. Upgrades included:

• Rebuilt turbochargers.
• An aluminum flywheel.
• A Tubi exhaust system.
• Custom-made Penske Racing adjustable shocks.
• A Kevlar clutch pack.
• H.R.E. three-piece alloy wheels.
• An increase in power output to 550 horsepower.

Black Mountain Jeep

When you buy a Jeep from Chrysler prepared for off-road adventures, featuring components like hoods, wheels, lift kits, winches, bumper, and brush guards, along with specialized gauge clusters and dashes, these are all products from Black Mountain.

The inception of Black Mountain’s Jeep parts venture was led by Dennis Collins, who, from 1984 to 2007, provided services to a myriad of CJs, YJs, and T.J.s. Currently, Black Mountain predominantly caters to the J.K. market (initiated in 2007), offering Jeeps equipped with the Black Mountain edition directly from the dealership and manufacturing a range of off-road-oriented parts and accessories at reasonable prices.

In its quest to innovate and expand, Black Mountain is constantly designing and launching new items, including Bumpers, Winches, L.E.D. Lighting and Fuel Covers, among others, while actively exploring fresh product concepts in the field.

1950 Nash-Healey (Purpose Built American sports car)

Dennis has bought and sold over 200 various Healey items, yet one particular Nash Healey stood out. The 1950 Nash-Healey, the first purpose-built American sports car in Dennis Collins’ collection, was exceptional. Following an extensive and intricate restoration, Dennis sold this Nash Healey, with the chassis number N2001, at the May Worldwide auction. As the sixth owner of this vehicle, Dennis Collins parted with the car for $500,00

2014 COPO Camaro

In 2016, Dennis Collins auctioned off an extraordinary 2014 COPO Camaro at a sale in Scottsdale, Arizona. This car is recognized as one of the most iconic muscle cars ever. Among the 69 COPO Camaros manufactured that year, just 18 were part of the exclusive body-in-black program, with Serial #002 standing out due to its rarity.

This particular model was a turnkey-completed car, equipped with a plethora of unique features such as a 454 LSX engine, Turbo 400 transmission, Holley/COPO injection system, COPO hood, power steering, air conditioning, line lock, operational lights, wheelie bars, mirrors, power windows, and D.O.T. approved tires. It was also NHRA Certified with an 8.50 estimated E.T.A., though it was expected to clock in the low 10s. Remarkably, this vehicle was snagged for $93,500 at a no-reserve auction.

2007 Cannonball Run Ferrari 550 Maranello

In 2007, Dennis Collins and Richard Rawlings, the proprietor of Gas Monkey Garage and host of Discovery Channel’s Fast N’ Loud, shattered the longstanding 1979 Cannonball Run record. They clocked in at 31 hours and 59 minutes, maintaining an average speed of 87.6 mph. Not only were they best friends, but the duo also boasted back-to-back victories in both the Gumball Rally and the Bullrun Rally.

Their vehicle was a 1999 Nero Daytona Ferrari 550 Maranello, a robust front-engine V12, 2-seater grand tourer. Ferrari produced this model from 1996 to 2001. It has a 5.5-liter engine, delivering 486 horsepower and 410 lb.-ft. Of torque. While the standard model features a 30.0-gallon fuel tank, Collins went a step further by modifying the fuel cells. This strategic change significantly reduced the need for frequent refueling stops.

A Belgian car dealer YourCar has this V10 listed for €235,000 at the time of writing, showing 6,000 km on the counter and a registration date of 10/2014 … which is also weird as the last Lamborghini Gallardo to leave the factory in Sant’Agata was a red Performante number 14,022 on November 25th 2013 … after that date the assembly line at the factory was converted to the Huracán that would be unveiled in March 2014.

So this Grigio Titans Gallardo Squadra Corse became a very intriguing car … what is the story behind it? Back in September 2013 at the IAA in Frankfurt Lamborghini unveiled the swansong of the Gallardo model line, the limited edition LP570-4 Squadra Corse, only 50 of these race inspired V10 would be built.

The Gallardo LP570-4 Squadra Corse could be ordered in either Bianco Monocerus, Grigio Thalasso, Rosso Mars and Giallo Midas, note that 15 of these cars would be sold in the United States, but only in Giallo Midas, inspired by the new 2013 Gallardo Super Trofeo race car the engine cover and large rear wing were transplanted on the Squadra Corse model while the interior received the Superleggera sport seats … however, the usual comfort seats were an option.

So that brings us back to this Grigio Titans Gallardo Squadra Corse … a shade that wasn’t possible with an engine cover that wasn’t supposed to be used on the Squadra Corse and a regular, low rear wing … the plot thickens …

According to YourCar.be there is a perfectly good explanation … this specific Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Squadra Corse is a one-off, ordered by none other than Stephan Winkelmann, CEO and Director of Automobili Lamborghini SpA at the time, as his company car (now why don’t we get company cars like that over here) … this is a 1 of 50 Squadra Corse, but only one has been built in this shade and with this configuration.

The front has the new triangular air intakes and the vent on the side as seen on the Nuova Gallardo LP560-4 in Paris back in 2012, behind the glossy black RA Forged wheels the brake calipers are bright red (you could order black, yellow or red calipers on the Squadra Corse) and the side sill is finished in clear carbon fiber, naturally there is the LP570-4 badge on the side too.

At the rear we see the new bumper design with the dual black exhaust tips … but a different engine cover, this car was ordered with the carbon fiber, glass engine cover and low rear wing, an option on the Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera in fact … in this case there are also lights in the engine bay to showcase that nice V10 unit.

Normally the Gallardo Squadra Corse received clear carbon fiber exterior rear view mirrors, this specific car comes with red painted mirror housings on the doors that receive the clear carbon fiber panels and a strap to pull … not the usual arm rest and handle as seen on the more regular Gallardo models.

Something strange is the fact there is a speaker grid on this door panel, while that option wasn’t ticked for this car, the central console only shows a carbon fiber coved and not the navigation and media system, I guess those are standard panels with the speaker grid already fitted, even if there is no audio system in the car.

The black Alcantara upholstery is used on the dashboard, the steering wheel and the comfort seats, an option on the Gallardo Squadra Corse … all showing a very nice contrasting, red stitching and a nice Raging Bull crest on the headrest. The lower part of the steering wheel gets a carbon fiber finish together with the central console and the hand brake lever, note that this car has an E-Gear transmission and those amazing looking white dials with orange scripting.

Talking about scripts, the lower part of the dashboard in this car is also finished in black Alcantara, but note the Squadra Corse script on the upper part in front of the passenger, and behind the rear side window on the driver’s side we find the Squadra Corse, Serie Speciale plaque … the inner door sills also proudly show Squadra Corse, but take a look at the small triangular window on the driver’s side … it has the ’50’ plaque … doesn’t that mean this car was built in 2013, when the 50th Anniversary of Automobili Lamborghini SpA was celebrated?

Seems like this is indeed a rather special Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Squadra Corse … a one of a kind Bull that was custom built for an important person in the history of Automobili Lamborghini SpA … should be a very nice addition for a collector … more information can be found at YourCar.be

In October 2012 the new evolution of the Super Trofeo car was unveiled, showing the new triangular intakes on the front bumper and at the rear, additional massive fender flares at the rear and a magnificent ‘hanging’ rear wing … while the chassis and engine remains the same as the 2012 edition the new 2013 receives a completely redesigned aerodynamic package that increases efficiency by 120% compared to the 2012 model.

In fact the ‘down force trim’ can be adjusted to 128kg in ‘low down force mode’ and up to 160kg in ‘high down force mode’ while the additional air intakes and outlets provide a 50% increase in cooling capacity, in fact Mr Reggiani made it perfectly clear it wasn’t the intention to cause a revolution for the 2013 Super Trofeo season … but more an evolution of an already perfect race car.

For the 2014 Blancpain Super Trofeo season the same car based on the Gallardo is still being used … the real revolution will arrive in 2015 when the Huracan base will be used for racing … until that time I’m sure the 2014 Specs Super Trofeo race car will be more than enough to keep the action alive in Europe, North America and Asia for the new Super Trofeo season that kicked-off in mid March on the Sebring track in Florida, USA.

But lets take a trip back into time, the start of the 2013 Super Trofeo season in Asia when teams acquired the 2012 specs model and had to convert it into the new and improved 2013 evolution at the Shanghai circuit … in a matter of days in fact.

We take a look at Team FXPrimus Aylezo while they prepare their car for the 2013 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia Series, with the first race well behind the Bamboo Curtains of Shanghai International Circuit … their car arrived at the track after being ‘in storage’ for a while, so a complete check and overhaul was required before it could compete in the race that weekend.

First point of action would be to remove all the decals and sponsors from last year’s team, and then the big transformation was started … the front bumper, front hood, engine cover, rear wing, rear bumper, rear diffuser and even the ‘undertray’ had to be removed so the new for 2013 units could be installed instead … the 2013 aerodynamic kit was delivered with a bit of a delay in fact … so in the first race of the 2013 Super Trofeo Asia Series some of the cars were still wearing their 2012 dress as some teams ran out of time.

Next step was to create the seat for the pilot … these seats are ‘tailor made’ to fit each specific driver by mixing two compounds together that will harden out into a foam shape that allows different drivers to pilot the car during the race … just by leaving the basic seat in place and just replacing the foam during the required pit stop.

Installing the new aerodynamic kit on the second day wasn’t as easy as you might imagine, a lot of parts wouldn’t just bolt onto the 2012 chassis as several air ducts required removing parts of the remaining bodywork … after some careful sawing, grinding it became obvious the numerous screws and rivets could only be mounted in a very specific way … time to consult the installation manual.

In the end it would take a little more than one day to install the entire 2013 aerodynamic kit onto the Gallardo, just in time for the practice sessions on day 3 so the final adjustments on the rear wing and canards could be performed to have the exact amount of down force required during the race … naturally by now all the new sponsor decals went onto the Racing Bull too.

On day four of the ‘transformation’ this 2013 specs Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo race car number 69 went into the qualifying rounds to set a fourth and seventh time for Round 1 and Round 2 respectively … it would reach 16th place overall after the Shanghai race. Results for the #69 car would be 2nd place in Sepang, 7th in Inje, 4th in Fiji, 4th when the Super Trofeo returned to Shanghai for Round 5 and 9th in Macau.

So in the end it would take about three days to ‘evolve’ a 2012 specs Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo race car into the much improved 2013 FL2 edition … the basics remained the same, but the special aerodynamic package, increased down force and cooling performance together with a 25kg weight loss did turn this ‘new’ race car into a totally different driving machine.

Rumors popped up on the internet about a new Gallardo special edition that might be called the Gallardo Squadra Corse, soon after these initial shots that showed a yellow car I received photos of a white car, a bright red car and even a silver metallic one … all wearing the new, triangular style front and rear bumpers, Superleggera wheels and the Super Trofeo rear wing and black engine cover … so something was cooking at Automobili Lamborghini SpA … photos were published all over the internet.

A few days later an official press release and actual photos were published by Automobili Lamborghini SpA … they showed a ‘Gallardo LP570-4 Squadra Corse – Race track emotion direct to the road’

The press release stated: ‘With the new Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse, Automobili Lamborghini brings race track emotion directly to the road. It delivers high performance and brings the fascination of motor racing to the street-legal world. This new and most extreme model in the Gallardo line-up is based on the Gallardo Super Trofeo, the successful race car from the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo, the world’s fastest one-make series. The car will have its world premiere at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.’

A world premiere at the IAA … that was still six weeks away, Lamborghini never showed anything that early before any major Auto Show yet, so were they pushed into releasing it because the test/development cars had been spotted on the open road … or was the Squadra Corse just a smokescreen to hide something totally different for the IAA … perhaps a preview of the V10 successor?

Many people were hoping for something really special at the 2013 IAA … remember both the Reventon and the Reventon Roadster had been shown at earlier IAA editions while the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show was the stage to show the Super Trofeo Stradale, the predecessor to the Squadra Corse … so rumors were being launched almost daily back in August and the first week of September …

Lamborghini might show a new concept that would be an indication on how the Gallardo successor (which is being tested on the road currently) might look when it is introduced at the 2014 Geneva Auto Show … another option would be the recently confirmed Veneno Roadster (as the Reventon Roadster was show in Frankfurt back in 2009) … less anticipated but still very interesting would be to see the Urus or the Egoista in Frankfurt …

But it turned out the very early release of the press information and photos of the Gallardo Squadra Corse wasn’t a marketing trick after all … the silver metallic finished race track derived limited edition road car was in fact the ‘new’ model that would take center stage in Frankfurt.

At 12:30 on Tuesday September 10. 2013 the press conference was held right at the Automobili Lamborghini SpA stand at the IAA in Frankfurt, the short video that was posted earlier on Youtube was shown on the large screens in the background while two beautiful hostess pulled away the black cover from the car right from the start … no intro, no history … the Squadra Corse was unveiled right away.

Flanked by two race cars, the 2013 specs Blancpain Super Trofeo on one side and a 2013 GT3 FL2 edition on the opposite side … and that was it. Very impressive, and I admit the Gallardo Squadra Corse has a strong pedigree with those two race cars … but many people were expecting something more … different … Raging Bull style.

Still the Gallardo Squadra Corse is a very beautiful car, especially in this light shade that brings out all the details and shows a stunning contrast with the black engine cover and large Super Trofeo race wing while the exterior rear view mirrors and parts on the rear lower diffuser get a clear carbon fiber finish … the same lightweight material is used abundantly on the interior too, combined with black and red Alcantara the cockpit of the Squadra Corse just oozes race feeling from every angle.

If I understand correctly this would be the swansong of the Gallardo V10 range … when the production of this limited edition model runs out there will be no more Gallardo built and the successor should have taken over the reign … possibly called the Cabrera and offering at least 600hp with a DCT setup it should be shown to the public in March 2014 at the Geneva Auto Show with deliveries starting in late 2014.

The Lamborghini distributor in Taipei organized this event and had no less than four Gallardo present, two units of the facelift LP560-4 as seen in Paris in 2012, a red Superleggera Edizione Tecnica and a white Gallardo that looks like an LP550-2 still these were totally overshadowed by a very special car the Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Asia.

The Super Trofeo Asia is a commemorative edition to celebrate the success of the Blancpain Super Trofeo Asia Series, just like the original Super Trofeo Stradale was earlier but this special, limited edition Asia version has one unique feature the paint, in fact the original Super Trofeo Stradale could be ordered in red, white or grey this Super Trofeo Asia comes in yellow only.

Do note the Super Trofeo Asia still has the red Alcantara sections on the seats and the lower section of the dashboard in fact the dashboard shows Super Trofeo Stradale in fact, so I guess it comes straight from that model, as does the rear wing installed, the vertical fins on the extremities are finished in bright red just like the brake calipers behind those beautiful lightweight, glossy black wheels.

The Super Trofeo engine cover is also used on this Asia edition while the rear view mirrors get a beautiful clear carbon fiber finish the same material is used abundantly inside this special limited edition Gallardo and it sure is very limited, only three are available and Ka Ma Societe managed to obtain the number 2 of 3.

While apart from the paint used this Super Trofeo Asia looks about identical to the Stradale version there is one major difference this yellow Gallardo does not show the STS decals on the rear wing nor on the front air intake still with 570hp at 8,000 rpm the Super Trofeo Asia puts only 1,340kg on the scales, resulting in a power to weight ratio of 2.35kg/hp.

Going from 0 to 100km/h is done in 3.4 seconds 200km/h is reached in 10.4 seconds and this Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Asia runs out of breath at 320km/h  while the sound coming from the four dark shaded exhausts only gets better and better along the way.

I didn’t find any information on pricing or if this car is even available outside of Asia (I highly doubt it to be honest) and if all three have been sold already but it did come as a surprise to see a yellow finished Super Trofeo Stradale edition oh no, it is called Super Trofeo Asia, sorry.

They also confirmed the Gallardo Squadra Corse is indeed a limited production model, only 50 will be built with an allocation of only 15 units for the United States market … and there is a catch … while other markets will be able to select from a palette of four different shades (grey, white, red and yellow) all 15 units that will be shipped to dealers in the United States will be finished in Giallo Midas, a stunning yellow metallic shade.

Each of these 15 US-Specs Gallardo Squadra Corse will be offered at a USD 259,100 base price without taxes, also note 3 cars will be available for Canadian customers while the rest of the 50 units will be divided over the remaining regions … every single one of these 50 Squadra Corse will have an individual number with the first units arriving in September.

The decision of shipping only Giallo Midas finished Gallardo Squadra Corse does come as a surprise in fact as after seeing the official press release photos many people actually prefer the Grigio Thalasso shade … which combined with the TriColore stripes on the side reminds us of the Veneno.

With the new Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse, Automobili Lamborghini brings race track emotion directly to the road. It delivers high performance and brings the fascination of motor racing to the street-legal world. This new and most extreme model in the Gallardo line-up is based on the Gallardo Super Trofeo, the successful race car from the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo, the world’s fastest onemake series. The car will have its world premiere at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.

The name Squadra Corse refers to the recently-founded department within Automobili Lamborghini, which manages all motorsport activities from GT3 to the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo championships in Europe, Asia and America where gentlemen drivers battle face-to-face in fierce contests on the most challenging racetracks.

The new Gallardo Squadra Corse is very close to the race cars. Both share the same V10 engine, which is used in the racing version with no modifications. Likewise, the Squadra Corse has the same rear wing for greater aerodynamic load – achieving, under the best aerodynamic conditions, three times the load of the Gallardo LP 560-4 – for increased dynamic stability during tight, highspeed driving. Another element taken directly from the racing version is the removable engine hood with quick-release system. Both the rear wing and the hood are made from carbon composite material, as are a host of other components on the Squadra Corse.

Lightweight construction through consistent use of carbon fiber
Together with aluminum, carbon fiber is the basis behind the extremely lightweight construction of the new Gallardo new top model.
The Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse boasts a dry weight of 1340 kilograms, 70 less than the already lean Gallardo LP 560-4, which gives the Squadra Corse a stunning power-to-weight ratio of 2.35 kilograms per hp for breathtaking performance. It sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 3.4 seconds and reaches 200 km/h in just 10.4 seconds. Its forward thrust finally tops out at 320 Km/h. The production-standard carbon-ceramic brake system guarantees unmatched stopping power.

The technology and the powertrain
Like the Super Trofeo competition version, the new Squadra Corse is based on the technical underpinnings of the Gallardo Superleggera. The V10 engine generates 570 hp, equivalent to 419 kW, which is fully available at 8,000 rpm. The V10’s unique firing order delivers the striking sound you hear in motor racing. Like the race car, the Gallardo Squadra Corse comes as standard with the robotized e-gear six-speed transmission operated by steering wheel paddles. This electronically controlled system shifts through its six gears smoothly and much faster than any pro driver could. Every kilometer in the Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse is packed with sheer excitement, in part due to its unrelenting grip in virtually all situations thanks to its all-wheel drive concept.

A decal strip along the flank displays green, white and red, the colors of the Italian flag. Minimalist sporty interior
Extremely lightweight carbon fiber and Alcantara®, the perfect combination of sporty minimalism, are the dominant materials inside the Squadra Corse. Alcantara graces the underside of the dashboard, the central panel of the seat cushion and the backrest. The door panels, the racing seats and the center console cover are made from carbon fiber, a technology in which Lamborghini has achieved world-leading expertise. Carbon is also used for the handbrake frame, the middle of the center console, the lower rim of the steering wheel, the trim around the main and secondary instrument panels, the door handles, and the handle for opening the glove box. Today Automobili Lamborghini SpA has put a stop to the rumors by publishing an official press release and the first photos of the Gallardo LP570-4 Squadra Corse and it does look very impressive, even in the rather low profile grey metallic shade shown on the press shots, while a yellow sample has been caught on camera while driving around the factory earlier today.

Just like the earlier Super Trofeo Stradale model this brand new LP570-4 Squadra Corse is heavily inspired by the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo race car which for the 2013 season is also using the new front and rear bumpers as seen in Paris back in 2012 with the by now trademark triangular intakes.

Instead of going for a Nuova Super Trofeo Stradale or Super Trofeo Stradale FL2 (like the GT car with FL2 standing for Face Lift Two) Lamborghini decided to name this new Gallardo evolution Squadra Corse referring to the new racing department at Automobili Lamborghini SpA.

While showing the styling of the Nuova Gallardo LP560-4 this Squadra Corse evolution does use the 570hp engine from the LP570-4 V10 model the carbon fiber quick release engine cover and high mounted rear wing with vertical fins on the extremities are taken directly from the race version of this Raging Bull.

By using aluminum and carbon fiber on various parts of the new Gallardo LP570-4 Squadra Corse Lamborghini was able to shed 70kg from the regular LP560-4 model a total weight of 1340 kg puts this new V10 model in a power to weight ratio of an impressive 2.35kg per hp.

Naturally this helps to reach 100 Km/h in only 3.4 seconds while the 200 Km/h mark is passed after 10.4 seconds this new Gallardo LP570-4 Squadra Corse runs out of breath at 320 Km/h by the way while stopping power is achieved by a carbon-ceramic brake system going fast is one thing, making it all stop in time is another but behind the nice Alcantara steering wheel you shouldn’t worry about that.

Do note the Gallardo LP570-4 Squadra Corse comes standard with the well-known e-Gear transmission while the specific firing order of the V10 emits a very brutal sound through those four black exhaust tips at the back, especially when all those 570 horses are released at 8,000 rpm while you are seated inside a sea of clear carbon fiber and Alcantara the door panels are completely finished in lightweight carbon fiber while regular comfort seats are available as an option to replace the beautiful racing seats that are standard fitment.

On the outside the Italian proud is emphasized by using the TriColore once again as a decal on the side, much like the Veneno we’ve seen in March by the way, on the other hand the new Gallardo LP570-4 Squadra Corse is only available in Giallo Midas, Bianco Monocerus, Grigio Thalasso and naturally Rosso Mars, a very popular shade on Lamborghinis these days. The rear wing is always finished in matte black with color coded side fins other parts on the body and the wheels get a glossy black coat of paint while the brake calipers are either red, black or yellow.

We will be seeing this car in a few weeks in real life at the IAA in Frankfurt.

Meet the Gallardo LP550-2 India Limited Edition only available in three shades: Arancio Borealis, Bianco Monocerus or Verde Ithaca (shades derived from the famous Italian TriColore flag) all boasting a wide stripe from front to rear in TriColore alike shades too. Another detail to celebrate the relationship between India and Italy as Mr Pavan Shetty mentions (he is Head of Operations for Lamborghini India), also note the limited production run of only six units will turn this car into an instant classic among sports cars enthusiast in India.

You can only decide on three shades for the outside, that also shows amazing high gloss cross spoke wheels, black air intakes up front and the glass engine cover, being based on the LP550-2 we are talking about 550HP on the rear wheels only while the side sills show a matte black section that nicely contrasts with the bright bodywork but the three shade theme continues inside.

When opening the door on the Gallardo LP550-2 India Limited Edition your first impression might be it looks a bit dull with the full black upholstery but take a closer look and discover the amazing detail built into this new limited edition Raging Bull. The basics for this additional Anniversary model were taken from the ‘entry-level’ Gallardo LP550-2 model, so the front and rear bumper remain the pre-2012 edition as used on the LP560-4 model still this new model is called LP560-2, so 560 hp to the rear wheels only. In fact we made a mockup showing the New Gallardo LP560-4 styling but with the additional Superleggera rear wing and the special Scorpius wheels as we were under the impression this was an LP560 with rear wheel drive instead this model is in fact an uprated LP550-2 which distinguishes itself from the new LP560-4 and the LP570-4 Superleggera by using the bumpers from the ‘2008-2012’ restyling.

To turn this into a special edition Automobili Lamborghini SpA takes a rear wheel drive Gallardo LP550-2 from the line, installs beautiful dark grey multi spoke Scorpius wheels we’ve seen on the original Superleggera, the Balboni special and the BiColore versions of the V10 Gallardo the clear carbon fiber rear wing from both Superleggera editions is also installed on a transparent engine cover.

Do note the engine cover does featured the glass section, but is finished in white just like the rest of the body and not in clear carbon fiber like the Superleggera Gallardo, this specific shade of white is called Bianco Opalis, a special pearl metallic version of Bianco probably like on the V12 counterpart the clear coat receives additional metallic flakes to create a shimmering effect under bright light.

There is no separate press release on this Gallardo LP560-2 50° Anniversario edition, so if this V10 version is also limited to only 100 units like the Aventador LP720-4 50° Anniversario is unknown right now. In case of the Aventador it is possible to order the car through the Ad Personam customization program, so any color combination is possible on the V12 if this V10 gets a similar treatment is also not known, but I do think you’ll be able to order special shades on it too.

Judging from the photos taken at the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show there are no visible 50° Anniversario badges seen on the outside, you know the Aventador gets the special Forged Composite badge on the lower side of the rear diffuser and a serial number on the inside again nothing about this is known for the Gallardo celebration model.

The press release on the Aventador Anniversary does mention all Lamborghini built during 2013 will receive the 50th badge on the dashboard, so most likely this Gallardo Anniversary will at least get the badge on the inside too.

Pricing for the Gallardo Anniversary edition haven’t been released yet, in fact the official MSRP for the Aventador Anniversary isn’t published yet either but we did pick up a rumor about a limited production run of 10 Aventador LP720-4 Roadster 50° Anniversario.

Still that is exactly what the 2013-spec Gallardo managed to accomplish in MOGYORÓD, Hungary last weekend during the fifth running of the Dunlop 12h of Hungary, driven by Marc Hayek, Peter Kox and Nico Pronk the Gallardo GT3 FL2 finished in first place after 344 laps on the 4.381 km long Hungaroring … which adds up to just over 1,500 km in total with an average speed of no less than 125,6 Km/h.

This was the first time the new 2013 Gallardo GT3 FL2 would be racing for real after intensive testing, the 12h of Hungary is organized by Creventic, a Dutch agency, and DNRT and allows entries from GT race cars, Touring Cars and 24h specials … although it is the only 12 hour race in Europe.

According the Nico Pronk the Gallardo GT3 FL2 was fast and reliable which resulted in a great race without any problems … this first competitive outing of the car resulting in total victory was more than the Reiter team could have hoped for … and what makes it all even better … pole position was gained during training already.

So apart from only two laps after the first pit stop the 2013 Gallardo GT3 FL2 was in the lead the entire 12 hours, lap 275 was even clocked down as the fastest lap of the race with Peter Kox behind the wheel, who managed to complete the entire 4.381 km in only 1:49.026 minutes … to have Nico Plonk pass the finish line after 12 hours … still in the lead was a genuine hattrick.

The Hungary race was also a perfect opportunity to get to learn more about the Gallardo GT3 FL2 during actual competition as preparation for both the Blancpain Endurance Series and FIA GT Series. Peter Kox also stated the performance of the car was at a high level throughout the entire race, no issues or glitches … the race prepared V10 performed like clockwork.

“A great way to start the season” according the Mark A. Hayek who put down his first maiden international race win with this stint in the Dunlop 12h Hungary, I’m sure we will be seeing some serious competition between the 2013 Gallardo GT3 FL2 and the other cars in the Blancpain Endurance Series and the FIA GT during the season this year.

The 2013 Gallardo GT3 FL2 race car has been developed as a joint venture between long term Lamborghini race car developer Reiter Engineering GmbH and Automobili Lamborghini SpA, the latter gaining experience with their one-make Super Trofeo series … for which a brand new 2013 evolution has been developed too.

The GT3 FL2 car gained new 24 hour racing brakes to improve long-distance performance, but also increased engine cooling together with a reduction in fuel consumption. On the more visible side we notice a new front bumper that is part of a high efficiency aerodynamic body kit, at the rear we find a massive diffuser that was based on the new 2013 Super Trofeo unit while the big rear wing is a Reiter unit as is the amazing looking, slotted engine cover … a true work of art … in the end Reiter Engineering and Lamborghini managed to shave an additional 25kg of weight compared to the 2012 spec Gallardo GT3.

Using the brand new LP560-4 model with the modified front and rear sections as seen at the 2012 Paris Auto Show, the new Gallardo GT3 car takes some development and styling hints from the factory original 2013 Super Trofeo race car, especially the triangular air vents in front of the windshield similar to the ones seen on the limited edition Sesto Elemento are used.

Automobili Lamborghini SpA has been building legendary models ever since the late Ferruccio Lamborghini founded the company back in 1963 … first up were some of the best GT cars the world had ever seen in that era, the 350GT is still widely acclaimed as one of the best looking V12 Gran Turismo cars while the Espada was a masterpiece from the Seventies … luxury and speed for four people in a low slung styling that was simply amazing.

However the big surprise came with the Lamborghini Miura, a super exotic car that had the massive V12 engine mounted transversely behind the back of the driver and passenger with styling that still amazes onlookers 40 years later. Succeeded by the magnificent Countach that introduced the by now typical upward opening doors concept onto the world of Lamborghini cars, angular styling that looked like an alien space ship in the late Seventies and Eighties. The Diablo took over the reign in the Nineties with some amazing cars like the Diablo SE30 and the Diablo SV, later succeeded by the even more menacing Diablo GT model … the latter two were also part of the first attempt at a monomarque racing series with the Diablo SV-R and the Diablo GT-R.

The 21st century was a major turning point for Lamborghini, being acquired by Audi AG could have been a bad idea but it turned out really good, with the new funds a brand new Bull was created in the form of the Murciélago that was unveiled in late 2001, but at that time Lamborghini had no intention of developing a race version so world renowned Reiter Engineering GmbH took on the task of developing the Murciélago R-GT in 2003 that would later evolve into the Murciélago R-SV in 2009 for the 2010 FIA GT World Championship.

In fact Reiter Engineering had been developing Lamborghini GT cars on their own since 2000, with the stunning black Diablo GTR-S being one of them, in fact Reiter Engineering has been the main manufacturer of racing cars for Lamborghini since 2000, their race variants have been supplied to both the Reiter Racing team and other competitors. Since 2007 Reiter Engineering built Lamborghini GT cars have secured 199 victories and 350 podium positions in GT Championships … Reiter Engineering has a development structure and a racing team to be reckoned with.

Actually when Lamborghini came out with the successful V10 Gallardo model it didn’t take Reiter Engineering too long to create a full-blown GT3 edition based on the ‘baby Lambo’ as the Gallardo is sometimes called. At first using the original 5.0 liter Gallardo to be turned into a GT3-R model, later on Reiter Engineering took on the then new LP560-4 model to create the LP560 GT3 race car that has evolved into the LP600+ GT3 car used during the 2012 season … at a certain point Reiter Engineering even had an LP560 built to GT2 specs.

For both the 2013 Blancpain Endurance Series and the 2013 FIA GT Series we’ll be seeing a Gallardo GT3 that has been developed with full support from Automobili Lamborghini’s motorsport R&D team … in fact Lamborghini put together an in-house department dedicated to motorsport only called the Squadra Corse that will oversee both driving and racing programs for Lamborghini.

So we have Reiter Engineering GmbH with all their Lamborghini GT racing experience that led to outstanding results over the years joining forces with Lamborghini R&D engineers offering their full expertise of high performance road cars … with one objective in mind: ‘bring the unique road prowess of Automobili Lamborghini’s super sport cars to the track’.

Back in January the only thing we could admire were a few virtual 3D renders featuring a red car, and despite not showing the real car these mockup looked absolutely amazing, especially the front spoiler with the vertical sections much like the ones seen on the Aventador J …

Unfortunately that very special design front splitter didn’t make it into production as we see a totally different front on the actual 2013 Gallardo GT3 FL2 production race car as it can be delivered to possible customers all over the world.

While using the new 2013 Gallardo model as a basis, the GT3 Squadra Corse evolution is focused long-distance performance with reduced fuel consumption compared to the 2012 LP600+ GT3 car, but also improved engine cooling and a special ’24-hour’ brake system.

Additional differences between the production version and the early 3D render can also be found at the rear the section, where the vertical wings on the sides are gone but the beautiful looking Reiter developed rear wing and slotted engine cover as used on the 2012 LP600+ GT3 return on the 2013 Gallardo GT3 FL2 Squadra Corse. The rear wing is a high downforce carbon fiber, fully adjustable unit while the front splitter is made of the same carbon fiber material and features double under floor diffusers, the lower diffuser at the rear is also made of carbon fiber in case you were wondering.

Also note the ‘speed wizards’ at Reiter Engineering managed to remove an additional 25kg from the Gallardo to improve the power to weight performance even further, in fact the 2013 Gallardo GT3 FL2 has exceptional low running costs … only €9/km to €12/km parts rebuild costs.

Some specs on the 2013 Gallardo GT3 FL2 or Squadra Corse as it is called in the leaflet state a power output of over 600hp at 8000 rpm, lightweight motorsport specification wiring and connectors, electronic power management system and a membrane type switch panel combined with a 2D data logger digital dash with large, totally configurable racing display, the quad exhaust pipes found on the street legal Gallardo have been replaced by a Reiter Engineering racing spec exhaust that shows two exit tips higher up between the taillights.

The lightweight carbon fiber body panels cover a chassis in lightweight, structural aluminum space frame, based on aluminum extruded parts welded to aluminum caster joint elements with structural reinforcements at suspension pick up points, inside we find a FIA approved safety roll cage and the car is fitted with Makrolon safety windows.

The suspension consists of a Reiter Engineering double wishbone front and rear setup, quick adjustable anti-roll bar, anti-dive and anti squat, Öhlins 3 way adjustable racing shocks and machined aluminum uprights based on GT1 parts.

To keep the interior cool during a race we find a roof mounted air scoop while the seat made from carbon Kevlar can be ordered in two versions … one designed for small drivers, the second specifically for taller drivers.

Base price for the Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 FL2 has been set at €320,000 (ex VAT) from which a down payment of €70,000 is required when you order the car, a second payment is asked for when actual production starts (€130,000) with the final payment due upon delivery, which happens about 8 weeks after reception of the first payment … Reiter Engineering does recommend a ‘Spare Parts Kit’ for professional teams at about €74,000 … so give or take a few thousand Euro you are in for about €400,000 if you decided to buy the 2013 Gallardo GT3 FL2 Squadra Corse race car.

Apparently a local dealer confirmed this information to a customer, the 2013 Gallardo LP550-2 Indonesia LE will receive several items from the option list as standard equipment , the most eye catching naturally being the Superleggera bumpers and side skirts if the high rear wing (which is an option on the Superleggera by the way) will be included too hasn’t been disclosed.

Furthermore we are looking at a glass engine cover with the optional LED lights installed to give an even better view of the V10 engine at night, e-Gear transmission (Lamborghini has just about confirmed they will no longer be building Raging Bulls with a manual transmission) and the special lift system allowing the raise the front to cope with curbstones.

Leather package 1 together with the Branding package are to be standard too, so the Raging Bull logo on the headrest is there with the Lamborghini script on the dashboard for you to admire while being seated in electric seats and listening to your iPod as the media interface is also mounted.

The travel package and bi-xenon headlights round up the list of factory installed options while the wheels are the regular dual five spoke Apollo wheels seen on the Gallardo LP560-4 model, but finished in glossy black for the Indonesia edition.

No official photos exist of this model yet, but looking at the specifics listed above we can safely assume it will look like a green LP570-4 Superleggera on different wheels and I admit that doesn’t look too bad, and keep in mind we are talking about a rear wheel drive only model here so an impressive looking body with 550 horse power on the rear wheels only Fast and Furious Sant’Agata drift style!

Automobili Lamborghini’s President & CEO outlines 2013 plan for a thriving series

Stephan Winkelmann, Automobili Lamborghini’s President and CEO set out a bold vision for the ultimate one make series Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo at the final round of the European series in Los Arcos, Navarra.

Flanked by the company’s Research & Development Director and Head of Lamborghini Motorsport, Maurizio Reggiani, the pair outlined how the series has significantly expanded its grid, inaugurated a successful championship in Asia, provided a fertile environment for guest and VIP immersion in the Lamborghini brand, and had built a significant following through traditional and burgeoning social media. The Lamborghini executives were joined by Alain Delamuraz, Vice President and Head of Marketing, Blancpain, the series’ principal sponsor.

While summarizing the successes Super Trofeo had recorded over the past twelve months, the press conference in the Atalaya Centre at the Navarra race circuit provided the stage to unveil the series’ 2013 race car, the new Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo.

The 2013 Gallardo

As outlined by Maurizio Reggiani, the 2013 Gallardo is based on the proven chassis and mechanical platform of its predecessor, but takes a significant step forward following extensive aerodynamic re-profiling of the surface geometries and the addition of adjustable aerodynamic devices, including an all-new ten-position rear wing.

The net benefit of this significant aerodynamic upgrade is 120% improvement in aerodynamic efficiency over the Gallardo’s 2012 model. With re-modelling of brake ducts, the new Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo achieves a 50% improvement in thermal performance with improved front brake cooling, while better balance and dynamic performance is achieved by increasing downforce by 128kg in low downforce set up and 160kg in high downforce trim.

While the racing technology advances, Mr Reggiani emphasises that the Gallardo provides an efficient and cost-effective platform for customer racing. “We have taken a significant step forward with the aerodynamic performance of the new Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo, but still the car stays true to our core principles. We believe that it is important to evolve the car, while ensuring Super Trofeo remains an attractive series in which to compete.”

Europe in retrospect

As Automobili Lamborghini looks to 2013 – its 50th anniversary year – Super Trofeo has grown into one of the company’s foremost platforms for communicating its brand heritage. Having set out in 2009, the 2012 season has seen up to 20 cars contesting races at the best European tracks, featuring drivers from ten different nations and providing a level playing field in which no less than eight teams have shared the honours of claiming a pole position this season. 2,500 guests have been entertained in driving academies, passenger laps and parades or enjoyed the sumptuous and unique hospitality environment of the Lamborghini Village. With 129 million households across Europe following the action courtesy of Eurosport – including the appearance of guests from Valentino Rossi to Adrian Newey and 70,000 fans following Super Trofeo through social media channels, 2012 marked the waypoint to extend the formula to other markets.

Super Trofeo heads to Asia

Along with valued partner, Blancpain, Lamborghini launched the Asian Super Trofeo in 2012, and four of the six races this season have taken place. The results in only its first season have been truly remarkable, with 480 media attending races from key markets including Japan, China, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong and India, and more than 2,200 guests entertained in the Asian expression of the Lamborghini Village.

The huge engagement of Lamborghini customers, press and the public alike has been remarkable, delivering for instance over 6 million page views of a dedicated Super Trofeo page on sina.com in the heart of the expanding Chinese market and regular highlights on CCTV reaching 560 million households.

2013 Developments

All participants who have participated in the 2012 Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo European series will be offered the opportunity to attend a two day official test prior to the start of the 2013 Championship. The test will take place on the 19th and 20th of March, 2013, in Vallelunga, Italy.

Stephan Winkelmann confirmed that Automobili Lamborghini are planning to expand the Super Trofeo series into other markets, such as the USA.

The wider motorsport picture

The Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo series in Europe and Asia form a critical staging post in Lamborghini’s motorsport strategy which connects the Lamborghini Academy to GT3. And while Trofeo goes from strength to strength, so too has 2012 delivered impressive results in senior motorsport.

Drawing the review of 2012 and the exciting plans for 2013 to a close, Stephan Winkelmann said, “Motorsport is at the essence of what Lamborghini stands for, and the great affinity for our marque deserves to be represented though racing to deliver the emotional engagement that really connects the spirit that exists in every one of our cars, whether created for the road or the track.”

Over the last four years the Super Trofeo championship has evolved a lot, since the first race back in 2008 the series only became larger and better, the Blancpain Super Trofeo system of driving similar car and sharing some of Europe’s most famous tracks between pro drivers and gentleman drivers turned out to be a perfect mix to attract several VIP and enthusiasts to take the wheel of these V10 exotic super cars turned into track Bulls.

And this year the series expanded into the 2012 Asian Super Trofeo series, at this moment this series conclude four races with two more in the planning, but already nearly 500 important media publishing houses from Japan, China, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong and India have attended, and covered this brand new series, over 2000 guests came through the doors of the Lamborghini hospitality park, also known as the Lamborghini Village.

And for the 2013 Super Trofeo Series things are going even further, during the press conference in Navarra Stephan Winkelmann confirmed the Asian Super Trofeo will continue in 2013 but Automobili Lamborghini SpA is also looking to introduce the Super Trofeo series in other markets, like the United States for instance and with a brand new car to take on this challenge I’m sure it won’t be a problem to convince both existing teams and new members to try their hand at racing a Lamborghini Gallardo in LP570-4 Blancpain Super Trofeo trim.

As for the new 2013 model, it isn’t just a minor restyle using body panels from the recently shown New Gallardo LP560-4 at the 2012 Paris Motor Show the 2013 Super Trofeo only remotely looks like the V10 it is based on, I don’t think many body parts remained from the 2012 unit either.

The first thing you’ll notice when seeing the 2013 Gallardo Super Trofeo is that massive rear wing, for one it ‘hangs’ from two large struts in a similar way as we’ve seen on the Aventador J unveiled in Geneva, but on the Super Trofeo it is much larger and higher naturally, and has ten different adjustment settings to get just the right amount of down force you need for a specific track.

While viewing the 2013 Gallardo Super Trofeo from the rear we also notice a brand new lower diffuser, again very large and with massive vertical fins to increase stability the red tips make it look even more intimidating as if the car just ‘shredded’ the competition, with the blood still dripping from the fins.

The chassis for this new evolution remains the same as the 2012 edition, as are most of the mechanics, the biggest change for the 2013 series model comes from highly modified aerodynamics on just about every panel of the Gallardo it is based on.

The new front bumper comes with the triangular air intakes seen on the MY2013 Gallardo LP560-4, but then Lamborghini cut large air vents on the side of it, added three fins to get more down force up front and put a massive spoiler underneath this bumper with adjustable struts the 2013 Super Trofeo gets a 120% improvement in aerodynamic efficiency.

And things get even better, with variable settings of the downforce trim it becomes possible to increase downforce by 128 Kg or up to 160 Kg in either ‘low downforce set up’ or ‘high downforce set up’ respectively if we take a closer look at the air intakes and vents it becomes obvious Lamborghini is also claiming a 50% increase in cooling performance.

Note the front hood now houses two larger, triangular air vents in front of the windshield, a look we’ve seen on the Sesto Elemento before, and once again fully functional and not for show Mr Reggiani made it perfectly clear it wasn’t the intention to start a revolution for the new Super Trofeo season next year but more an evolution of an already perfect race car to keep interest for the 2013 Super Trofeo season high.

All teams that performed in the 2012 season will get the chance to fully try the new 2013 Super Trofeo race car on the Italian based Vallelunga track during two official test days in March 19 and 20 2013 I for one can’t wait to see this new Super Gallardo in action on the track.

And then we hear about the Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 GZ8 Edizione Limitata a limited edition based on the rear wheel drive only Gallardo with 550 hp but it is destined for the Chinese market only, so this isn’t the final edition Gallardo.

Remember we published the Gallardo Gold Edition that was also only available in China back in early June, followed by the Gallardo LP550-2 HK20 model for customers in Hong Kong only and the Gallardo LP560-4 Bianco Rosso destined for Japanese Bull enthusiasts in July so when it comes to limited edition production runs based on the V10 Lamborghini model I think we’ve covered most bases already until you see the GZ8 edition, which takes the Gallardo to the next level.

Take a close look at the white car in the photo, it is based on the Gallardo LP550-2 edition, so rear wheel drive only, while according to our source the ‘GZ8’ stands for the city of Guangzou while the 8 stands for the number of cars to be built in this limited edition run while 8 also happens to be a lucky number in China.

It will take some serious money to add one of these 8 Edizione Limitata to your garage, price has been set at almost 4 million Yuan (little over US $ 600,000 or €470,000) however you have to put this list price in the right perspective as the regular Gallardo LP550-2 is already listed at 3.5 million Yuan all of a sudden this GZ8 Edizione Limitata doesn’t sound so expensive anymore.

So what sets this GZ8 apart from a factory standard Gallardo LP550-2? Probably among the most eye catching differences are those orange wheels, which might not please everyone, but they do look different. Next on the list is the impressive carbon fiber rear wing taken directly from the Super Trofeo Stradale edition, this time the winglets on the extremities are finished in orange to match the wheels.

The engine cover, finished in matte black, also looks very similar to the Super Trofeo Stradale unit while the glossy black roof on the otherwise Bianco Gallardo has the STS look and feel too. Add carbon fiber exterior rear view mirrors, carbon fiber side skirts, special black and orange striping in Superleggera style on the side and the impressive front bumper from the lightweight version and you has a very impressive looking Gallardo.

Final touches are the black section on the front bumper and the ‘GZ8 edizione limitata’ scripting just about everywhere on the outside and on the inside where the GZ8 logo is featured on the headrests of the tasteful black and white interior with Q-Citura stitching on the seats and a carbon fiber lower section on the steering wheel.

So we have yet another limited edition Gallardo model to add to the growing list, and apart from the orange wheels I think it doesn’t look too bad either but that is beside the point as it isn’t available in Europe or the United States anyway, the Gallardo LP550-2 GZ8 Edizione Limitata has been requested by the official Lamborghini dealer in Guangzou and all 8 cars built are sold in China only.

But something else was also made available for the Philippines region: a limited edition version of the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 called the Noctis, which is Latin for ‘night’ and as a special model it receives innovative three shade bodywork.

The main color on the LP560-4 Noctis is either Blu Fontis, a very dark metallic blue shade, or Grigio Lynx which happens to be a gray metallic. But that is only the start, the windshield pillars, roof frame get finished in silver all the way to the rear of the car, while the roof itself is covered in Nero Noctis, a deep black.

The Gallardo LP560-4 Noctis rolls on the well-known Cordelia wheels, which in this case are polished to a deep gloss and go over glossy black brake calipers, the engine cover is the optional glass window version, some of the other ‘options’ include the factory Anti-Theft System, a stunning Bicolore Sportivo Alcantara interior, the Branding Package with the Raging Bull crest on the headrests. The leather package completes the upholstery while a Navigation System avoids getting lost, and if you do get lost you can use the Bluetooth system to call for help hands free.

To keep that nice front bumper in perfect shape the Front Lifting System is installed and to keep you from hitting the back against something resulting in a steep repair bill they even installed the Reverse Camera option.

They call this one the Gallardo LP560-4 Noctis Limited edition, and while there is a nice plaque on the side with ‘Noctis’ script, there is no numbering system visible, so we have no idea how many will be made in the end however one of the gray finished ones made it to Australia already where it was for sale in July 2012.

The Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Bianco Rosso has been created as a celebration model for the 45th anniversary of the Japanese importer, taking a white LP560-4 from the production line with the optional glass engine cover the factory adds some touches of bright red paint to remind us of the Japanese flag, which also happens to combine white and red as you might know.

On the LP560-4 Bianco Rosso we see red being painted not only on the exterior rear view mirrors and the glass engine cover surround but also on the brake calipers that are nicely contrasting with the black finished Cordelia wheels and the red shade is also taken inside the car.

The seats get an Ad Personam treatment using black alcantara for the seat and back center while the sides are covered in the softest red leather found in Italy, add some nicely contrasting red stitching and a red hand brake together with red door handles and you end up with a rather nice looking overall impression.

Personally I would say the red engine cover is a but much, but that’s my opinion and I’m sure people will love to get hold of one of the ten units available and let’s face it, this will probably be the swansong of the Gallardo range anyway, perhaps a few more limited edition available on some local markets, but I think it is safe to say the Gallardo is on its final approach to being replaced with a new model in 2013.

After that an impressive line up of Murciélago models would be sold, during the 20th Anniversary celebration at the Arcade, the Cyber Port they even managed to have one of the very rare 40th Anniversary edition Murciélago on display, finished in the beautiful dark metallic green shade it was actually parked next to a green LP670-4 Super Veloce edition of the same model … both being limited edition models by the way … and as a blast from the past we can admire a bright yellow Lamborghini Miura SV on display too, the car that put the Lamborghini name into the automotive books forever.

Alongside these more ‘classic’ models Kingway Cars also had several Aventador LP700-4 during the celebration, as a flagship model it sure impresses people … but the celebration of being an exceptional sales and after-sales service for a make like Lamborghini for a period of 20 years was a perfect opportunity to unveil something really special.

The Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 HK20, or Hong Kong 20th Anniversary edition as it is called specifically will only be available for Hong Kong customers, and more importantly only 8 of these will be built. Priced at HK$3,680,000 (which is about US$475,000 or just over € 375,000) these are not the least expensive out there I guess, however do note this price includes taxes already, so it isn’t that extravagant in the end, and you do end up with a very special, complete V10 model.

These LP550-2 HK20 models are finished in Bianco Monocerus, a solid glossy white shade that is rolling on mat gold finished Cordelia cross spoke wheels with the side sills finished in black to contrast nicely with the white bodywork. The standard rear wing found on the Gallardo is also finished in mat black on the HK20 model, which is also the shade used for the brake calipers by the way.

On the outside we see a dual stripe on the front hood, somewhat similar to the Performante but on the HK20 we get gold stripes, going from the front hood over the roof to the engine cover which is the transparent version for this model.

Naturally the HK20 limited edition has some bespoke items only available on these 8 cars, like the mat white top, HK20 crest on the front spoiler and rear bumper, mat gold stripes, mat black rear spoiler, mat black side sills and mat white exterior rear view mirrors, while on the inside we are welcomed by a very nice combination of black alcantara and leather with black stitching in the amazing looking Q-Citura pattern.

The e-Gear selector plate is also finished in mat black and features the HK20 script, just like on the headrests and the sides, the two levers behind the perforated leather steering wheel are finished in a nicely contrasting red shade and there is also a plaque with the serial number of each of the 8 units built.

The base of the HK20 is the Gallardo LP550-2, so we still get a 5,204cc V10 engine that delivers 550hp at 8,000 rpm with an impressive 540 Nm at 6,500 rpm on the rear wheels only, trying their best to get those Pirelli 295/30 ZR19 tires not to get shaved too quickly. Up front you get those great looking Cordelia wheels finished in limited edition mat gold wrapped with 235/35 ZR19 rubber from the Pirelli plant … all that expensive rubber will get you to 100 Km/h from a standstill in only 3.9 seconds … and if you are really courageous the HK20 will only reach its limit at 320 Km/h.

So will we ever see the Gallardo LP550-2 HK20 over here in Europe or even in the United States? I highly doubt it, only 8 will be built … and those are only available in Hong Kong anyway, similar to the Super Veloce China Edition … only very little numbers ever built, and hardly ever seen outside the original market it was sold on. I for one regret that actually because let’s face it : this HK20 does look very nice … however I think you will be able to convince the Ad Personam program to at least get a Gallardo that would look close to this HK20 limited edition … without the custom HK20 scripts naturally.

Yes we did, with the Lamborghini Murciélago LP670-4 Super Veloce China Edition, another very limited edition model, only 10 were ever built and at least one was crashed heavily shortly after the owner took delivery so now Lamborghini is pulling the same thing out of the bag, the Gallardo LP560-4 Gold Limited Edition will also be made only 10 times and demands a serious premium over the regular LP560-4 model.

The Lamborghini stand at the south China based Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macau International Auto Show shows an Arancio Argos Aventador in the center spot with this brand new, locally available Gallardo edition next to it, finished in an impressive gold metallic shade that does remind me somewhat of the Oro Elios shade used back in 2000 on another limited edition model, the Diablo VT 6.0 SE or Special Edition.

In case of the Gallardo LP560-4 Gold Limited Edition we are looking at those impressive, polished wheels covering some highly contrasting, red finished brake calipers a shade that is also used inside the car where red is used for the stitching on the seats, steering wheel, dashboard, central console and door panels.

The engine cover is the optional glass version, that covers a regular LP560-4 V10 engine, no additional horse power or tuning on this car which sells for an equivalent of 800,000 USD in China, not bad I guess, and judging by all those other makes having special editions for the booming Chinese market I don’t think Lamborghini will have any trouble selling ten of these.

Now we are talking about the LP550-2 version of the well known Gallardo, so the V10 engine has about 550 Bhp on tap, and this power is transmitted to the rear wheels only just like it was on the Valentino Balboni special, as it was also an LP550-2.

Now the LP550-2 MLE does have some nice trumps to attract buyers it looks a lot like the LP570-4 Superleggera model on the outside, but with a regular, more luxurious interior that isn’t as race inspired as the Superleggera edition, the LP550-2 MLE actually uses a beautiful combination of leather and suede for the interior, so it has some more creature comforts so looks and luxury, what more could you ask for.

The Gallardo LP550-2 Malaysia Limited Edition uses the same, race inspired front bumper as the LP570-4, the side skirts are made from carbon fiber, as is the large rear diffuser that holds four magnificent titanium exhaust tips. Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A., is presenting at the Volkswagen Group Night in Frankfurt the most extreme Gallardo ever: the Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale. Automobili Lamborghini is bringing motor racing excitement directly to the road. This new and most extreme top model in the Gallardo lineup is based on the successful race car from the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo, the world’s fastest singlemake series.

The car will be produced in a limited run of 150 numbered units.

The Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo championship brings professional racers and gentlemen drivers face-to-face in fiercely fought battles on Europe’s most challenging racetracks such as Monza, Silverstone and Hockenheim. There are many similarities between the racing and road versions of this super sports car. For example, they both share the same V10 powerplant, which is used in the racing version with no modifications.

An enormous and manually variable rear spoiler for increased dynamic load

Right from first glance, these similarities are even more evident in the new Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale. In fact, it is equipped with the same rear spoiler that offers greater aerodynamic load – reaching in the best aerodynamic condition 3 times the load of the Gallardo LP 560-4 – for increased dynamic stability during tight, high-speed driving. As in the race cars, the rear spoiler can be varied manually in order to let the driver optimize the car’s performance according to the track or road characteristics.

Another element taken directly from the racing version is the removable engine hood with quick-release system. Both the spoiler and the hood are of course made of carbon composite material, as are a host of other components on the SuperTrofeo Stradale. Together with aluminum, carbon fiber is the basis behind the extremely lightweight construction of Gallardo’s new top model.

Lightweight construction through consistent use of carbon fiber

The Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale boasts a maximum dry weight of 1340 kilograms. It beats the already lean Gallardo LP 560-4 by 70 kilograms, which gives the Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale a stunning power-to-weight ratio of 2.35 kilograms per HP for breathtaking performance. It sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 3.4 seconds and reaches 200 km/h just 10.4 seconds later. Its forward thrust finally tops out at 320 Km/h.

“Rosso Mars” stands for Italy’s racing tradition

The Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale sports a brand new “Rosso Mars” finish that underscores the special connection between ultimate race track performance and Lamborghini’s “Italianness”. The “Rosso Mars” color symbolizes Italy’s traditional racing red, as established at the beginning of last century in motor racing, when the home nations of the competitors were indicated by the color of the paint on the vehicles. Dark green stood for Great Britain, blue was for France, white (and silver later on) represented Germany, white and blu stripes for USA, and red was the color of all race cars from Italy.

Red, black and carbon fiber characterize the exterior

The exterior appearance of the Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale is perfectly accentuated by a matte black finish on the large rear spoiler, the engine hood and the front air intakes, which contrasts with the “Rosso Mars” paint. The forged wheels are painted in high-gloss black, a color that is also available on the roof as an option. The rocker panel covers, impressive rear diffuser and outside mirror housings are made of carbon fiber polished to a high gloss, while the brake calipers are accented in red for the first time on a Lamborghini. It’s a perfect match with the exterior color and racing concept of this new super sports car. And besides the historically suggestive “Rosso Mars”, the new Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale is also available upon request in “Grigio Telesto” or “Bianco Monocerus” with the roof available in gloss black as an option, as mentioned above.

Minimalist sporty interior

Black and red, the perfect combination of sporty minimalism, are the dominant shades inside the Super Trofeo Stradale. The most broadly used materials are Alcantara – in “Rosso Mars” on the underside of the dashboard, the central part of the seat cushion and the backrest – and extremely lightweight carbon fiber. Black Alcantara with contrasting red top-stitching is used to finish the other parts of the interior. The steering wheel is upholstered in black suede and also features red top-stitching. The door panels, the monocoque racing seats and the center console cover are made of carbon fiber, the construction of which Lamborghini has achieved a world-leading expertise. Discreet sporty accents are provided by dark chrome visible metal parts.

Upon request, an interior layout including elements made of carbon fiber, such as the handbrake frame, the middle of the center console, the lower rim of the steering wheel, the decorative frames around the main and secondary instrument panels, the door handles, and the handle for opening the glove box (also available upon request), can be ordered.

Phenomenal powerplant

Like the Super Trofeo competition version, the new Super Trofeo Stradale is based on the Gallardo Superleggera technical approach. The V10 powerplant generates 570 HP, equivalent to 419 kW, which is fully available at 8000 RPM. The maximum torque is equally impressive, with the torque curve peaking at 540 Nm at 6500 RPM. The V10’s unique firing order delivers the striking sound you hear in motor racing.

Transmission “race tested” in the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo championship series

Like the race car, the Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale offers the robotized egear six-speed transmission controlled by steering wheel paddles as standard equipment. This electronically controlled system shifts through its six gears smoothly and much faster than any human being could. And for maximum acceleration from a standing start, the transmission can be set to the “Thrust Mode” – a program that allows to reach the best performance possible executing a racing start with minimal tire slippage at an initial engine speed of approximately 5000 rpm.

Permanent all-wheel drive for maximum traction in any situation

Every kilometer in the Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale is packed with sheer excitement, in part due to its unrelenting grip in virtually all situations thanks to all-wheel drive. At the end of the day, the Lamborghini Super Trofeo is the only single-brand racing series in the world that features all-wheel drive race cars. The Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale is a highly concentrated driving machine offering a truly stunning driving experience with breathtaking cornering speeds and fast, immediate response. Its road manners are always precise, stable and completely safe.

Suspension with unmatched precision

The layout of the suspension is directly derived from motor racing, with a double aluminum wishbone guiding the wheels. Precise rack-and-pinion steering gives the driver a very close connection to the road. As is true for the Gallardo Superleggera, the vehicle is specially set up to take full advantage of its dynamic potential. No other model in the Gallardo line is as close to being a true race car. Another great feature is the ultra-lightweight 19-inch wheels, which alone save some 13 kilograms. The lightweight and sturdy wheel bearings and bolts are made from titanium and high performance Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires are fitted.

Brakes with unmatched stopping power

Behind the massive wheels are brakes designed for unmatched stopping power, as controlled by the ESP stability control system, which is standard equipment. The front axle is equipped with aluminum calipers with eight pistons each, and the calipers on the rear axle have four pistons each. The ventilated discs on the front and rear measure 365 and 356 millimeters, respectively. Upon request, Lamborghini will install a carbon-ceramic brake system. The carbon-ceramic discs measure 380 mm for the front wheels and 356 mm for the rear wheels.

Racing-type options

The optional equipment designed with racing in mind includes not only the carbon-fiber ceramic brake discs, but also a tubular interior roll cage, 4-point safety belts and fire extinguisher. On the other hand, those who want comfort can equip their Super Trofeo Stradale with a satellite navigation, with Bluetooth connection for mobile phones, an anti-theft system, and a lifting system that raises the front axle.

Only 150 units of this most extreme Gallardo ever will be built, and it is not only the name the street car received from the racing sibling, check out that rear wing. Yes, you are seeing things right, this is the same one as used on the race car, adjustable albeit by hand and not electrically but still this massive wing is able to create three times the down force compared to the regular LP560-4 rear wing.

But the similarities don’t end here, that large rear wing is sitting on a Super Trofeo engine cover, which retained the quick release levers, so instead of opening in the regular way as seen on the earlier Gallardo models, this one comes away from the car completely both cover and wing are naturally made from carbon fiber.

The race derived V10 engine is mounted in this Stradale version, pumping out a healthy 570 ps it propels this new limited edition to a top speed of no less than 320 Km/h, for most people an academic value only as they will probably never reach that speed in their own Raging Bull, but the acceleration figures are equally impressive, 0 to 100 Km/h in a mere 3.4 seconds and the 200 Km/h mark is reached in only 10.4 seconds all thanks to a power to weight ratio of 2.35 kgs per Hp from a dry weight of 1340 kgs which is 70 kgs less than the original LP560-4 model and equals the weight of the Superleggera version.

If you know your racing history, you should be aware of some basics here. Remember Racing Green? That adorned most race cars from the United Kingdom back in the days, while a blue shade was used on many cars from France, white and silver were trademarks colors on German racers and the famous white cars with blue stripes could be seen on many Ford GT from the United States so which shade is still missing? Red and as a matter of fact red was used on Italian race cars, so Automobili Lamborghini SpA put a new shade called Rosso Mars on this Gallardo model.

Taken into account that red was a special order shade before, this is a very bold move have you seen many Gallardo, be it the original 5-Liter, the Spyder or the LP560-4 in red? I don’t think so, on the Diablo the Rosso shade was used a lot, just like on the Countach before it, but on the Murcielago it wasn’t a popular shade either, and by the time the LP640 and Gallardo came on the market the classic Rosso was no longer a normal or optional color, it was moved into the Ad Personam programme, hence rather expensive and it became rare.

An unofficial reason for this was the fact Lamborghini wanted to move away from the shade as it was a trademark on the competition from Maranello but now on the Super Trofeo Stradale it is back, but in Rosso Mars version, which isn’t really bright red anyway but a bit darker, again setting the Gallardo apart from the Prancing Horse models.

Take a closer look at the Super Trofeo Stradale and you notice an amazing looking combination of high gloss red paint and mat black on the rear wing and engine cover, but the wheels are finished in a stunning, glossy black shade while hiding beautifully red painted brake calipers. Note that the car in these press photos also has the glossy black roof section, which is an option actually, not a standard feature on the Stradale. But carbon fiber isn’t missing from this new Lamborghini either, the large rear diffuser, exterior rear view mirrors and side sills are made from this strong, lightweight material.
Just in case you are not a fan of the new Rosso Mars shade you can specify to have your very own Super Trofeo Stradale finished in Grigio Telesto or Bianco Monocerus both non-metallic shades in case you are wondering I think a white Stradale with the black roof would look very nice too.

If you open the door on this red car you are greated with lots of Alcantara and glossy carbon fiber, the red shade from the outside is repeated inside on the lower part of the dashboard, the mid section on the awesome race inspired sport seats, the hand brake  ‘sock’  and for the ‘puller’ to close the door which is lined in full carbon fiber inside matching the central console and lower part of the steering wheel, which is finished in black Alcantara apart from a small section at the top of the steering wheel, to make sure you know when the wheels are pointing forward.

The rest of the interior is covered in black Alcantara with many parts using red stitching and several Super Trofeo Stradale logos, one on the dashboard, one on the side of the seats, but there is more, on the doorsill you are also greeted by this logo while both the rear wing and the front spoiler are graced with this logo too just to make sure people know you are driving the latest and bravest Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale limited edition Raging Bull.

On the Stradale the brakes are one of kind in the automotive world, the ESP is standard on this car but the carbon-ceramic discs are an option as not every customer likes the way these behave, which is a bit different compared to regular steel discs, the latter are ventilated and measure 365mm both front and rear, however the carbon-ceramic versions are 380mm at the front, the rear remain at 365mm.

Just like carbon-ceramic disc brakes are derived from the race track, some other options found their origin on the track too, like the tubular roll-over cage inside, or the four point seat belts to complement those stunning seats and what about an automatic fire extinguisher ? But not all customers want a Spartan race car on their driveway, for those clients the sat-nav can still be mounted together with a Bleutooth connection for your phone or an anti-theft system. And one more important option could be a life saver the front lift system that allows you to get onto your driveway in the first place.

So is the exotic super car world waiting for yet another limited edition based on the Lamborghini Gallardo, or would they like a real successor to tackle the competition from Maranello with the 458 ? Well only the future can tell, but I’m sure Automobili Lamborghini SpA is already working hard on a brand new V10 model that will rule the roads once again in the very near future, but for now we will have to settle for this very special Gallardo model, and with only 150 units to be built in total, this one will again become an instant collectible once the supply dries up.

And you must admit the combination of red and black does work like a charm on this Super Trofeo Stradale it has been a while since I’ve seen a red Gallardo anyway, so I for one am looking forward seeing it in real life out in the wild.

A green, white and red stripe will start at the front of the car and go over the hood, roof and engine cover all the way to the back of the car, on a white bodywork with amazing looking carbon fiber exterior rear view mirrors this results in a very nice and clean look for this latest V10 model.

Stephan Winkelmann, CEO of Lamborghini, stated “with this special Tricolore version of our most successful model we give a further impulse to the ‘Made in Italy’ label around the world”. Also note that the famous Tricolore, which is the symbolic name of the Italian flag by the way, is also present on the seats inside, similar to the stripes inside the LP550-2 Valentino Balboni special.

On March 16. 2011 a special exhibition dedicated to the Italian unity anniversary will see the official introduction of the Gallardo Tricolore, at which time Automobili Lamborghini SpA will also unveil the exact specifications and details on this new version, at this time it is unknown if the Tricolore will be a limited editon model or not, but if production is numbered our guess will be only 150 will be built.

Judging by the only photograph available at this time it looks like the Tricolore is based on the LP560-4 model just like the Bicolore edition introduced recently, so we could expect details to be along the way of the regular model, a top speed of 325 Km/h from the 560 Bhp engine with acceleration figures of only 3.7 seconds to reach 100 Km/h.

Why yet another limited edition you might ask ? Well this one is actually to celebrate the 10^th Anniversary of Lamborghini Singapore, and there is even more, this car will only be available in black or white and for each of them sold Lamborghini Singapore will donate S$20,000 to the Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund (SPMF) in total offering S$200,000 for those students that are less fortunate to be able to go to school anyway.

These ten cars have been specially commissioned by the Lamborghini factory to be sold on the Singapore market only, available in either black or white these Gallardo cars distinct themselves from the regular LP570-4 Superleggera by using red stripes on the side and different wheels, in fact the same wheels as on the Bicolore model. There is also a small plaque on the side of the car with a Merlion logo stating this to be the Singapore Limited Edition.

In the end it took three months to finalize this concept, Mr Melvin Goh, managing director of Lamborghini Singapore negotiated directly with the factory in Sant’Agata in mid February 2011 a special gala dinner was held in the well-known Mandarin Oriental in Singapore during which the keys to the first two cars in this series were given to their new, fortunate owners.

Apparently these cars look like an evolution of the LP570-4 Superleggera, however their specifications show a Max power of 550 hp at 8000 rpm which could mean these are actually LP550-2 models with the front spoiler, side skirts and small rear wing of the Superleggera mounted.

However we received no information that these are rear wheel drive only, still they reach a top speed of 320 Km/h and reach 100 Km/h from standstill in a mere 3.9 seconds figures that leave no doubt, these Gallardo Singapore Limited Edition are still true blooded Raging Bulls.

With its new Bicolore model, Lamborghini is now setting a further design highlight in the ten-cylinder model series. The colored exterior finish matched with the black on the upper area of the body gives the Gallardo a new, more aggressive personality that looks even wider, even more extreme and innately adhered to the road.

Top-quality and highly individual interior

The contrast between black and color is repeated in an understated, elegant manner in the interior of the Gallardo LP 560-4 Bicolore. The instrument panel, seats, door panels and other elements in the passenger compartment are upholstered in the finest “Nero Persus” leather, with a refined contrast provided by precise stitching that is colored to match the exterior paintwork: yellow, orange, blue and gray (also used on the Bianco Monocerus version).

The bezel of the e-gear transmission on the center console is in Nero Noctis, just like the upper area of the vehicle.
