The Temerario’s Core Identity: Successor to Huracán, Hybrid Power, and Design Evolution
The Temerario replaces the Huracán and introduces a new hybrid V8 powertrain: a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 mated to three electric motors, producing a combined system output of 907 horsepower. The V8 alone generates 789 horsepower, and its 10,000 rpm redline is a notable figure for a production turbocharged eight-cylinder.
The central question for every prospective buyer is whether a turbo V8 hybrid can deliver the same visceral punch as the Huracán’s screaming V10. Whether that approach fully satisfies owners accustomed to the naturally aspirated wail remains one of the most debated topics in enthusiast circles.
Design Director Mitja Borkert presented Lamborghini’s latest innovations at the 2024 Autostyle Design Competition, where both the Temerario and its Alleggerita version were displayed.
Engineering for Emotion: The 10,000 RPM V8 and Mechanical Sound
One source describes the engine as using a flat-plane crankshaft, a configuration often found in racing engines. Lamborghini says an electric motor integrates directly into the V8 housing. One source indicates the system uses an 8-speed Graziano dual-clutch transmission.
All of this hardware serves a single emotional goal: preserving the sensation that the engine is a living thing responding to the driver’s right foot. Lamborghini describes a mechanical connection to the firewall that enhances cabin sound without electronic fakery.

Design Language: From Autostyle Debut to Road Presence
Borkert and his Centro Stile team presented at the 2024 Autostyle Design Competition, held October 25 at Villa Schiarino Lena near Mantua. The event displayed both the standard Temerario and its Alleggerita version, along with the Revuelto and Urus SE.
The production car carries hexagonal daytime running lights and a shark-nose front profile. Lamborghini has also shown an Alleggerita version of the Temerario, though details about that variant remain limited in available coverage.

Competitive Landscape and Lamborghini’s Future Strategy
The Temerario produces 907 combined horsepower from a twin-turbocharged V8. The car is also slated to enter Lamborghini’s Super Trofeo one-make racing series in 2027, where the Huracán Super Trofeo currently serves as the race car. A one-off “Porto Cervo” Ad Personam special edition, inspired by Sardinia, has been created.
Several critical details remain unconfirmed. Lamborghini stated at the Autostyle event in October 2024 that the Temerario was not yet on sale and that consumption and emissions figures were awaiting approval. Pricing remains officially unannounced. One source reports a 3.8 kWh lithium-ion battery.
One source lists the car’s dry weight at 1,690 kg. Lamborghini says a full EV is not on the immediate horizon. For now, the Temerario features a 10,000 rpm V8 with a mechanical sound connection to the cabin delivered without electronic fakery.
