Design DNA in Activewear
Most luxury-car apparel slaps a shield logo on a polo shirt and calls it a day. The second Macron Activewear collection for Automobili Lamborghini takes a different approach: the designs feature tone-on-tone embossed hexagonal graphics recalling Lamborghini car-seat leather details. If you have ever run your hand across the quilted leather of a Revuelto or Huracán interior, you know the pattern: geometric, tactile, unmistakably Lamborghini.
That decision separates this collection from a generic co-brand exercise. Rather than printing a raging bull on a moisture-wicking tee and moving on, the design team extracted a texture that owners physically interact with every time they drive, then translated it into fabric. It is a subtle move, and one that few competitors in the automotive-lifestyle space bother attempting. Lamborghini and Macron chose to encode the brand’s interior DNA into the weave itself, which means the connection to the cars reads even without visible logos.
The color palette reinforces the point. The designs are inspired by four iconic Lamborghini colours: Apodis Orange, Vathys Blue, Turbine Green, and Pasifae Violet.

Performance and Fabric Technology
Encoding automotive design DNA into activewear only works if the garments perform like genuine athletic gear. The garments are made from high-quality technical fabrics that guarantee comfort and freedom of movement, and the line is built for running, training, and fitness. Two fabric names stand out: soft jacquard and zephyr softlock, both described as lightweight and comfortable. The t-shirts and sleeveless tank top are made of soft jacquard and zephyr softlock fabrics. The collection incorporates eco-sustainable fabrics made from Recycled PET.
What the press materials do not address is how these fabrics perform over repeated wash cycles, how they handle high-intensity sweat management compared to established running brands like Nike or Adidas, or whether the recycled polyester carries any weight or texture penalty. Those are fair questions for anyone considering spending on branded performance gear rather than dedicated athletic apparel. Lamborghini and Macron position the line for running and fitness, so the fabrics need to compete on athletic merit, not just brand cachet.

The Macron Partnership and Shared Italian Roots
The reason Lamborghini can credibly embed automotive design DNA into technical fabric, rather than simply licensing its badge, comes down to its choice of partner. Both companies share roots in Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region, and Lamborghini says their headquarters sit just 30 km apart. That proximity is more than a marketing footnote. Macron brings genuine high-performance sportswear expertise to the table, not the kind of licensing arrangement where a fashion house simply buys the right to print a logo.
This second drop is activewear for fitness and running, following that earlier Squadra Corse-focused collection. It is a logical expansion: the two companies built experience working together on technical garments, and the activewear line applies that fabric knowledge to a new category.
Christian Mastro, Automobili Lamborghini’s Marketing Director, described the collaboration as embodying values of authenticity, research, and attention to detail, and noted the collection’s “refined balance between functionality, technology and design,” mirroring Lamborghini’s automotive development philosophy. Macron’s Chief Business Officer for Technical Sponsorships, Francesco Martinelli, framed the project as expressing “a shared vision of activewear, rooted in Italian style,” developed through material research and functional design.

Collection Overview
The men’s line includes a black rain jacket with Apodis orange accents, a turtleneck sweater in the same color combination, and a hoodie in Turbine green. Automobili Lamborghini lettering stands out on the back of these garments, tone-on-tone below the shoulders. T-shirts and sleeveless tank tops use all four signature colors as both base tones and accent details, rendered in the soft jacquard and zephyr softlock fabrics. Shorts and long trousers are also available.
The women’s collection is primarily characterized by black and Pasifae purple, running across a rain jacket, t-shirt, bra, shorts, and leggings. The same hexagonal embossed graphics, the same thread connecting every piece back to the car-seat leather, appear throughout. Every item in the range features back-neck branding with both the Macron and Lamborghini logos, plus Macron Hero and Automobili Lamborghini logos on sleeves or thigh edges.

Strategic Importance for Lamborghini
The collection is available online via macron.com and lamborghinistore.com, and at the Automobili Lamborghini flagship store in Sant’Agata Bolognese. Lamborghini’s official materials do not list individual item prices.
Whether that translates into meaningful brand-building or simply sells shirts to existing fans is the open question. Lamborghini’s press materials do not address sales targets.
The broader strategic context is clear. The launch of a second Macron activewear collection indicates that the partnership between the two companies remains active.
Whether a third collection follows, or whether the partnership expands into other apparel categories, remains unannounced.
