I’ve been talking about it ever since the Lamborghini Sian was introduced as a coupe back in September 2019 at the IAA in Frankfurt they have to be doing a Roadster version of this hybrid Lamborghini too and nearly an entire year later Automobili Lamborghini SpA released just that, the Lamborghini Sian Roadster (no more FKP37 designation on the open-top version).

You might also have seen the many renders I made on how I thought the Sian Roadster would look, and to be honest the actual production version does look very close indeed, and this didn’t come as a surprise: there is no roof on the Sian Roadster.

Just like the Aventador J, the Veneno Roadster and, the Centenario Roadster the latest limited edition, or few-off as Lamborghini calls it, doesn’t have any roof designed for it, this is open-top motoring at it’s finest, a true Barchetta from Sant’Agata and frankly, I like it a lot more than the coupe, but that might just be my love for convertibles in general.

Performance

To avoid turbulence at high speed, there are side windows on the Lamborghini Sian Roadster, and while they are full size at the front, they dip down considerably when they reach the end of the door, which naturally opens to the sky like all Lamborghini flagship V12 models, and the Sian, despite being a hybrid model, comes with the famous 6.5-liter V12 engine derived from the Aventador, power output is now up to 785 hp, add the 34 hp hybrid electric motor and the Sian Roadster puts down a total of 819 hp, the same as the coupe version by the way.

Top speed for this roofless supercar is over 350 km/h while acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is completed in less than 2.9 seconds, using the supercapacitor to store energy, the latter is charged every time the Sian Roadster brakes, the additional power is immediately available for increased torque at speeds over 130 km/h the electric motor does disconnect and the V12 flies solo the rest of the acceleration.

Lamborghini Sián Roadster Interior & Exterior Design

The exterior design is inspired by the Countach, a classic Lamborghini model, blending sharp lines and aerodynamic elegance to create an unmistakable silhouette. The body of the car is entirely composed of carbon fiber, contributing to its breath-taking appearance. Additionally, it features an electrochromic roof and moving surfaces controlled by smart materials, sculpted with innovative lines. The Sián Roadster was debuted in a color called Blu Uranus, which was specially selected by Lamborghini’s Centro Stile.

The interior design of the Sián Roadster is based on the Aventador’s interior, but it has been upgraded with several unique features. The interior makes use of sophisticated aluminum details painted in Oro Electrum (gold), a color Lamborghini has chosen to identify its hybrid cars. The Sián’s interior also introduces a new vertical touchscreen, which is set above the center console. Additionally, the center console has been tidied up and features a portrait touchscreen first seen in the Huracán Evo. The interior also sees the use of 3D printed parts for the first time, and the leather upholstery has been done by Poltrona Frau, a renowned Italian furniture company.

Price

Rumor has it the Lamborghini Sian FKP37 and this new Sian Roadster are both listed at an MSRP of $3,600,000 to $3,700,000 same price for the coupe and roadster, and while they will build 63 coupes, production on the Roadster is limited to only 19 units both production numbers adding up to 1963, the year the company was founded the official press release states all 19 are already sold.

While most of us will never be able to buy one of these Lamborghini Sian Roadsters, this doesn’t mean you can’t have fun to create your bespoke one virtually in our new LamboCONFIG configurator.

Back in March 2019, at the Geneva Motor Show, Maurizio Reggiani already mentioned the Lamborghini Aventador, the current V12 flagship, could very well get yet another evolution before a successor takes over and introduces hybrid power to the range … in September 2019 we got to see the Sián, based on the Aventador and with a supercapacitor it introduced hybrid power.

But Lamborghini’s Chief Technical Officer wasn’t talking about a hybrid in Geneva, he said it would be a final version using the well-known 6.5 liter, naturally aspirated V12 engine … so could he be talking about an Aventador SVR then?

In early October motor1.com publishes an article that sheds some more light onto the matter, a user on a forum mentioned he spec’d his Sián at the factory … and got to see the Aventador SVR (which he also ordered by the way), an 830hp track-only version of the Aventador SVJ, highly limited as only 40 units would be made with deliveries starting in 2021.

That would mean the less restricted V12 engine would deliver 60 hp more compared to the SVJ, and with no limitations to safety for road use, we could get some pretty wild styling on this one, remember the SC18 is still legal on the open road … but the Sesto Elemento wasn’t … so we might see a V12 incarnation of that one in the near future.

Last week Automobili Lamborghini Spa unveiled their first production hybrid model … well, it’s a very limited production model, only 63 units of the Sián will be built, and while all of them are already sold, it uses a Supercapacitor to turn into a hybrid … so it’s not even a normal hybrid with batteries, Lamborghini created something really different and special … and charged €2,500,000 for each one of them.

At the 2019 IAA in Frankfurt Lamborghini unveiled a satin green Sián to the public and the owners that ordered the 63 units that will be built, and to make things even more interesting, Lamborghini plans on building 63 different Sián … not two will be alike as every owner is invited at the factory to create a one-off, bespoke car just for him … or her, and judging from the samples the Ad Personam department showed during the VAG VIP evening event we might be seeing some really wild looking Lamborghini Sián once they are delivered.

So only 63 units of this Sián coupe will be built, and all of them are already sold … but what about a Roadster version? Will Automobili Lamborghini SpA turn the Sián into a convertible as they did with the Veneno and Centenario before?

I for one really hope so, I love an open-top Lamborghini, and even if it doesn’t even come with any kind of roof (like the Aventador J, the Veneno Roadster and the Centenario Roadster) it still is the ultimate Raging Bull in my eyes … so I created a Sián Roadster myself, in a style I would like to see with a full windshield and just two roll-over bars behind the seats … a true Roadster in every sense of the word.

And while the people that bought a Lamborghini Sián Coupe can have the Ad Personam department at Sant’Agata create their bespoke Bull, you can do the same in our brand new LamboCONFIG configurator I have created for the Sián … enjoy putting together one just for you.

We were all looking out for the new hybrid Lamborghini to be unveiled at Monterey Car Week in August 2019, but instead, we get a new limited-edition Aventador and Huracan. In case of the Aventador, we are shown a stunning matt grey (Grigio Acheso) Aventador SVJ Roadster but in the amazing Ad Personam ’63’ livery and you’ve guessed right only 63 will be made, and no, you can’t buy one, they are all sold out already.

On the Aventador SVJ 63 Roadster the Lamborghini Centro Stile design worked together with the Ad Personam department to create eight exclusive designs only available on the Aventador SVJ 63 Roadster, using either matt or shiny carbon fiber on the roof, engine cover, intakes, window trim and rearview mirrors, while the Leirion wheels get a matt titanium finish.

For the interior we get a pair of lightweight carbon fiber seats covered in Alcantara while a massive ’63’ logo is fitted to the section between the seats, a special badge on the steering wheel clearly identifies this car as one of only 63 special edition models, using the patented CarbonSkin throughout the interior.

Exterior finish on the Pebble Beach show car is Grigio Acheso (matt grey) combined with Arancio Dac for the SVJ logo and 63 badges, the Leirion wheels get a color-matched orange center lock while the interior is finished in Grigio Octans, Grigio Cronus, and Arancio Dryope, the seats get a Bianco cross-stitch.

The Aventador SVJ 63 Roadster still pumps out 770 hp from the big V12 with 720 Nm of torque, reaching 100km/h from a standstill takes only 2.9 seconds while 200 km/h is reached in 8.8 seconds, top speed is over 350 Km/h.

Back in December 2017 we already mentioned a new limited edition kit to be released by Liberty Walk, but all we could show at that time were a few 3D renders, not an actual car … fast forward to March 2018 when Kato-San came to the Geneva Auto Show in Switzerland, and he had the new LB-Works Lamborghini Aventador Limited edition taking center stage on the stand.

Wataru Kato started Liberty Walk back in 1993 at the age of 25 in Nagoya, Japan so he could build cars in the Bosozoku style … lowered to the max, modified bodies with large fender flares rivetted to the body and usually a pair of tall exhaust pipes … usually onto a Skyline at that time … but time progressed, and after an impressive Lamborghini project his wide body kits for the Nissan GT-R and BMW M3 finally become known worldwide … and success was guaranteed from then on.

Now cars like the Ferrari 458 SEMA and the Huracan LB-Works are famous around the world, and while Liberty Walk offers more sensible aero kits for the Lamborghini Aventador too (even the new Aventador S) the most impressive ones are surely the LB-Works evolutions for the Huracan and the Aventador.

To celebrate his 50th anniversary, Wataru Kato created an evolution of his LB-Works Aventador, now called the Limited Edition, only 50 will be made for the entire world, 30 of those are destined for Japanese customers while 20 will go overseas … at nearly US$60,000 each when you opt for lightweight carbon fiber.

The LB-Works Lamborghini Aventador Limited Edition is a very extensive aerodynamic kit for the current V12 flagship from Sant’Agata … up front we start with a completely new bumper that comes with a deep, version 3 lower splitter, race inspired canards on the sides and a pair of vertical fins for stability.

These vertical fins are also present just ahead of the rear wheels while a set of side sills connect front to rear, where a massive new rear diffuser takes over from the factory original one, a new v3 rear wing is part of the kit and comes in a stunning clear carbon fiber on the show car in Geneva, and that same material is also visible on the new, very aggressively styled front hood complete with two large air vents.

Naturally, the most impressive feature of this Limited Edition kit from LB-Works are the four massive wheel arch extensions, showing their rivets with proud to cover some massively wide Forgiato wheels with Pirelli P Zero tires. Do note that the Airrex air ride suspension is a $9,500 option on top of the kit price.

Remember seeing the first video when Kato-San took a cutter to those expensive fenders of a pristine, factory fresh, $400,000 Lamborghini Aventador … that was terrifying … but today you can opt for a ‘Fender replacement kit’ that comes with those four extensions already fitted onto fenders that just replace the original ones … you will have to add $3,420 to the overall price for those.

With an aggressive look like this you will have to make a sound that matches, so Kato-San proposes an FI Exhaust system that really looks like a work of art, almost too good looking to hide underneath that widebody Aventador, but the resulting soundtrack will soon make you forget the price at a steep $12,000.

The car shown at the 2018 Geneva Auto Show was number 22/50, and we’ve seen several different cars being published online already, so just how many units still remain for this LB-Works Aventador Limited Edition isn’t known, but if you are interested in getting this kit installed on your own Aventador I would get in touch with Liberty Walk quickly.

At the rear the already impressive diffuser we know has become even more intimidating (v3) and naturally that massive wing is still there (also v3) … a Kato-San created car wouldn’t be complete without a wide fender conversion, in this case they also have intakes in front of the rear wheels (the normal exchange fenders are a $3,240.00 option).

The front hood is also replaced on this LB-Works Aventador Limited, now featuring a pair of air vents to complete the aggressive look of this Japan style Raging Bull.

The render shows the well known Forgiatto wheels being installed again, while it is obvious an air suspension by Airrex just has to be added too (at $9,500) … but Liberty Walk also offers a pair of covers for the headlights in CFRP at $854.

This new LB-Works Aventador Limited might not please everyone, but still this is a very special car, and with only 50 in total to be built, it might be rare in the future …

We have seen a Prior Design Lamborghini Gallardo before as their impressive PD-L800 widebody kit, but that is not the only option from German-based Prior Design when it comes to adding aerodynamic parts to the previous V10 model from Sant’Agata.

There is also the limited edition PD-Edition kit for the Gallardo, only 50 of these aerodynamic kits will be built, and they totally transform the exterior of the V10 models built between 2003 and 2008, those are the original 5.0 versions (both coupé and spyder) before the LP560-4 took over with the modified bumpers, headlights, and taillights.

<img decoding="async" class="wp-image-1027 size-full" src="https://www.
The Prior Design Edition aerodynamic kit comes with a new front bumper (€ 3,490) that completely replaces the original unit and shows Veneno inspired styling for the large air intakes, a set of side sill fins (€990) with a small vertical upright behind the front wheel, side sill addons (€1,190) that look a bit like the intakes on the side of the Murciélago LP670-4 Super Veloce ahead of the rear wheel, while a new rear bumper (€2,900) took inspiration from the final evolution on the Gallardo LP560-4 with those typical, triangular air vents.

For the side air intakes on the Lamborghini Gallardo you can add inserts (€590) that mimic the ones seen on the V12 Aventador model, if you really want to transform the looks of your Gallardo you can add the optional front bonnet be Prior Design (€3,990) that shows the dual air vent design seen on the Veneno.

<img decoding="async" class="wp-image-1028 size-full" src="https://www.
All parts in the Prior Design Edition kit are made from a Fiberglass-Duraflex mix that gives a smooth finish combined with enough flexibility while still being stable enough for high speeds, installing these parts can be fitted without modifications to keep costs down.

Prior Design offers a special exhaust made from 1.4828 (T309) stainless steel with a programmable control unit, even with remote control, however, this exhaust might not be street legal in your country, so make sure to check this first before installing it. The system controls opening and closing of exhaust valves beyond the regular exhaust system.

When it comes to wheels, Prior Design offers a series of 20-inch forged units in various designs, 9×20 up front and 10.5×20 for the rear, but the customer can also go for a different make and model naturally, add a suspension kit from Prior to lower the Gallardo to the ground.

Two years after the original Gallardo was introduced in 2003 Lamborghini revealed the Gallardo SE in 2005, the Special Edition version that was limited to 250 units fast forward to 2016, and the Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 Avio is introduced at the Geneva Auto Show limited edition on the current V10 model that will also be built only 250 times.

In fact, we already published information on a special version of the Huracán being the Avio after we heard a customer ordering such a car in the UK and saw a cockade with the word Avio being trademarked by Automobili Lamborghini SpA we learned it would be a very limited edition but nothing about style or finish was available until March 1. 2016 when Stephan Winkelmann unveiled the car in Geneva, Switzerland.

Turned out our idea of a Huracán Avio being related to aviation of some kind was right, this limited edition takes inspiration from fighter jets, hence the tricolor cockade and L63 script on the side of the car and on the seats L for Lamborghini and 63 for 1963, the year Automobili Lamborghini SpA was founded by the late Ferruccio Lamborghini, whose 100th birthday was celebrated with the Centenario that was shown at the same time in Geneva.

As standard fitment the Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 Avio can be ordered in five special shades, Blu Grifo (matte blue), Grigio Falco (glossy dark grey), Grigio Nibbio (matte light grey), Grigio Vulcano (matte grey) and the very special Verde Turbine (matte green) all of these shades can be ordered with either a white livery, a grey livery or a really nice orange livery all shades are inspired by courses found in the Italian air force academy.

Just in case you’re not a fan of these 5 standard shades you can always opt for the Ad Personam program and select just about any shade possible to match the special Avio interior that comes in a combination of black leather and Alcantara with contrasting stitching white on the Blu Grifo car shown in Geneva that featured the matching white livery.

Note that the center section of the seats, the central console, the knee protection pads, and part of the door panel show a stunning hexagon pattern that has been engraved into the material by laser a first at Lamborghini, while the L63 and tricolor cockade are embroidered by hand on the side bolster of the seats and a special plate shows the limited edition 1 of 250 nature under the small window behind the driver.

The Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 Avio will come standard with a host of items that are optional on the regular Huracán, like the front lifting system, cruise control, and in some markets, even the GPS navigation system, making the special paint options and bespoke interior treatment almost free of charge when compared to the regular production LP610-4.

The first Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 Avio should be arriving in the showroom in a few months already can’t wait to see that matte green in real life.

Lamborghini Huracán Avio was a limited edition model released in 2016, with only 250 units produced. Its price at the time of release was around $245,000 to $260,000. Since it is a limited edition, its current value may vary depending on factors like mileage, condition, and rarity.

Back in 2013 I saw the first aerodynamic kit for the Lamborghini Aventador from renowned Hamann Motorsport GmbH at the IAA in Frankfurt, called the Hamann Nervudo for Aventador, this bright orange metallic car drew a lot of attention during the show … but apparently not enough to have a buyer signing the order form … hence in the days after the IAA closed its door this specific car was listed for sale at €385.000 (ex VAT) … if it did sell isn’t sure.

What is evident however is the fact Hamann Motorsport GmbH showed a slightly modified version of their Nervudo kit at the 2014 Geneva Auto Show, this time they called it the Hamann Limited for Aventador and had a car at the show finished in ‘Stealth Grey’ and ‘Poisson Green’ details … very impressive.

DS Automobile GmbH based in Switzerland is the official distributor for Hamann Motorsport GmbH in that region, and they just completed an amazing looking, bright white Lamborghini Aventador with full Limited aerokit.

The Hamann Limited kit comes with a replacement front bumper which shows additional insets between the headlights, large air intakes and massive, clear carbon fiber vertical fins for added stability and to direct more air onto the cooling radiators … a nice lower fin is carbon fiber is also added underneath the bumper.

On the side Hamann installs vertical fins just behind the front wheels, a stunning pair of carbon fiber side sills and large fins on the side air intakes behind the doors, again for added cooling purposes, while at the rear a very impressive lower diffuser gets installed and a pair of air vents between the taillights to disperse the heat from the exhaust system and engine compartment even better.

The massive, clear carbon fiber adjustable rear wing sits proudly on top of the original Aventador rear wing, but probably the most innovative item in the Hamann Limited kit must be that central air intake fitted on top of the engine cover … clearly inspired by the one seen on the limited edition Veneno.

The wheels are finished in matte grey and seem to be the famous Hamann Edition Race wheels, most likely in a massive 9×20 inch up front and 13×21 inch at the rear with matching 255/30 ZR 20 and 355/25 ZR 21 high performance tires, this shade looks really good on a white Aventador.

If this specific, Bianco Hamann Limited for Aventador has any interior work done isn’t clear, but Hamann can provide a total custom upholstery with color coded carbon fiber parts if needed.

Engine output it still 610hp with a top speed of 325 Km/h and acceleration figures of 3.2 seconds from 0 to 100 Km/h, just like the original Huracán LP610-4 the Zhong is based on.

But there is a very nice incentive to go for the Huracán Zhong in China the price. The Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 is listed at 4,290,000 Yuan (about US$ 680,000) while this limited edition Zhong is available at only 3,500,000 Yuan (US$ 550,000) which is a serious discount.

Many elements made of high-quality visible carbon fibre and the special “Giallo Orion” paint perfectly set the stage for the “Lambo”.

Power boosted to around 760 hp and 735 Nm leaves nothing to be desired for open-top sportscar enthusiasts.

With its ultimate finish for the Aventador’s closed version Hamann already proved how to take the bull by the horns. At the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the experts from Laupheim will spotlight their development based on the fascinating roadster. Those who know Hamann know that the “Lambo” simply had to make an appearance that is even more uncompromising, even more spectacular. The refiner stepped up to the plate and now presents a fine and defined model concept that turns the open-top sportscar into an individualised masterpiece with unique traits.

The front is dominated by made-to-measure air vent inserts. The optical counterpart of this aerodynamics element is the two-piece front spoiler made of the same material, which provides for racing-grade down force and gives the front wheels increased grip. The airflow is optimised by striking side skirts that Hamann uses to trace the extravagant look. The voluminous air scoop on the bonnet supply the huge twelve-cylinder unit with plenty of cool air and underlines the model’s own character. Here, Hamann has integrated especially high-quality clear-coated carbon fibre, which allows a clear view of the Lamborghini power package.

The greatest optimisation efforts Hamann undertook at the rear of the Aventador. The car refiner replaced the rear apron and rear diffuser with its own designs and constructions made of ultra-lightweight carbon fibre. The adjustable rear spoiler is made of the same material and was developed specifically for the “Limited.” The sport rear muffler, which Hamman also offers as racing version with an impressive “backfire” effect, is there to ensure a special and individual sound.

Highlights of the Swabian Lambo are the alloy wheels, which go perfectly with its new look. The multi-part Hamann “Professional” is produced by a forging process, which guarantees maximum driving dynamics through lightness and the highest level of stiffness. The high-performance wheels in sizes 9×20 and 13×21 inch bear ultra-high-performance tyres in sizes 255/30 ZR 20 in front and 355/25 ZR 21 in the back.

The specialists of Hamann push the performance of the potent Italian to new heights. 700 hp (515 kW) and 690 Nm were the numbers to beat – and that’s what Hamann clearly managed to do. The completely redesigned software of the control unit of the twelve-cylinder in the “Limited” now reaches 760 hp (559 kW). The maximum torque of the 6.5-liter V12 increases with the identity field optimisation to a raging 735 Nm*.

In Geneva, Hamann presents the open “Limited Lambo” with the special “Giallo Orion” paint having a pearly yellow shimmer. The allusion to the constellation of the same name may be understood as “reach for the stars”. The reason: Hamann fulfils every conceivable customer wish. Just one example: by request, the Lambo’s interior turns into a distinctive individual item with carefully sewn leather applications on the dashboard, side coverings or high-speed seats.

Hamann offers the model as finely tuned “total work of art”. However, the exclusive components can also be configured as desired, for example, in case the basic model already parks in the customer’s garage.

All elements marked with * are racing parts without German TÜV approval. Performance values stated above may vary depending on engine type, the vehicle’s equipment, gearbox, transmission ratio, wheel/tyre combination. To achieve optimal performance with petrol engines, Super Plus 98 ROZ or higher petrol types need to be used.

Not only was it the first time ever the bright red metallic Rosso Bia finished Aventador Superveloce could be admired in Asia, but Stephan Winkelmann, CEO and director of Automobili Lamborghini SpA also mentioned something really interesting … the Aventador Superveloce will be a limited edition of only 600 cars worldwide.

The iconic Lamborghini stand at the 16th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition has three cars on display, center stage is taken by the fastest production Lamborghini ever, the new Superveloce while a nice grey Huracán LP610-4 is shown next to this red Bull with the special Aventador LP700-4 Pirelli Edition on the other side.

Note that 2015 also celebrates 10 years of Lamborghini on the Chinese market, which over the last decade has become one of the most important markets for the Raging Bulls made in Sant’Agata, and with the introduction of both the Superveloce and the Pirelli Edition on the Asian market sales will not slow down any time soon.

Orders for the new Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 Superveloce have been booked in high numbers already, priced at RMB 8,011,528 in China (€327,190 in Europe, $485,874 in the United States and £315,078 in the UK) the first customer cars will be delivered towards the end of the summer of 2015.

Any official news about an Aventador LP750-4 Superveloce Roadster is still to be published, so if the limited production number of 600 units will include Roadster variants isn’t sure at this moment.

Back in September 2013 famous German tuner Hamann unveiled their first aerodynamic tuning kit for the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4, called the ‘Nervudo‘ it showed a very impressive set of vertical fins on the front bumper, additional air intakes and above all an innovative, Veneno inspired air intake on the engine cover … finished in bright Arancio Argos with a color coded, custom interior boasting red carbon fiber and impressive use of alcantara this Hamann Nervudo sure drew a lot of attention.

At the 2014 Geneva Auto Show Hamann came up with an evolution of their Nervudo kit, now called Hamann Limited for Aventador their show car was turned into a matte grey finished Bull with bright green accents … a shade that would return in the interior too, a custom made combination of green and grey leather with clear carbon fiber. The main difference between the Nervudo and the new Limited was found at the rear, the lower diffuser was a new design while air vents appeared between the taillights, also the entire package now showed a clear carbon fiber finish compared to the matte grey on the Nervudo six months earlier.

For the 2015 edition of the Geneva Auto Show something new had to be prepared by Hamann, and I’m sure the bright yellow, Giallo Orion metallic Lamborghini Aventador Roadster made a serious impression at the show wearing the very nice Limited bodykit with proud.

The complete package was installed by Hamann on this Limited for Aventador Roadster model, including the front bumper with the two additional air intakes, lower fin and vertical blades, the side sills are slightly wider than original and require two vertical wings just behind the front wheels while the large side air intake receives a massive clear carbon fiber intake.

Around the back the lower diffuser is installed showing the original exhaust tip but with round tubes inside, so the entire exhaust system has been revised by Hamann while the large rear wing probably prevents the original rear wing from opening so Hamann put two extra air vents on the rear fascia between the taillights for additional cooling of the engine compartment, naturally the big rear wing is totally adjustable for just the right amount of downforce.

The wheels on the Hamann Limited for Aventador Roadster are forged alloy units called ‘Professional’ in massive 9×20 inch up front and 13×21 inch at the rear with matching 255/30 ZR 20 and 355/25 ZR 21 high performance tires, also note Hamann reprogrammed the software for the engine control unit resulting in a power increase to 760hp (559kW) and a torque of 735Nm.

Two items are in fact missing from this new Hamann Aventador … on this Roadster edition the interior was kept factory standard, no special stitching or custom yellow alcantara for instance, not even some clear carbon fiber parts to make the central console look better … could have been a time constraint getting the car ready for Geneva as we’ve all seen the work Hamann did on the Nervudo and the grey Limited Aventador, so the workmanship is there.

The second thing I found missing on this yellow Roadster is that special air intake for the engine cover, because the Aventador Roadster uses a totally different engine cover compared to the closed coupé version the original triangular intake from Hamann won’t fit, but it would have been really nice if they could have designed a special one to fit the Roadster edition of their Limited kit.

Other than that I really did like the special carbon fiber pattern used on the parts for this Giallo Orion Roadster, a kind of ‘fishtail’ pattern that really sets apart this kit … and it was applied flawlessly too, very impressive.

Spectacular Hamann “Limited” version based on the Lamborghini Aventador already attracts the attention on European roads

Independent body concept, new design details and power boosted to around 760 PS and 735 Nm

All refinement components are available immediately

Hamann has taken the bull by the horns and put the ultimate finish on one of the most striking and powerful sports cars of all time. After its debut at Geneva Motor Show and Top Marques Monaco, the “Hamann Lambo” now grabs the attention on European roads. The refinement specialist from Laupheim offers the model as finely tuned “total work of art”. However, the exclusive components can also be configured as desired, for example, in case the basic model already parks in the customer’s garage.

Either way the “Lambo” becomes even more uncompromising, even more spectacular: the independent body concept of the Swabian factory has turned the martial Lamborghini Aventador into a personalised masterpiece – with unique design details and an impressive increase in power by almost ten per cent.

The leitmotif of the Hamann “Limited” is uniqueness in every way. The front boasts custom-made carbon air vent inserts. The optical counterpart of the lightweight nostrils is the two-piece front spoiler made of the same high-strength racing material, which provides for racing-grade down force and gives the front wheels increased grip. To optimise the aerodynamics, the new eye-catching side skirts help calm the airflow on the underside.

The greatest optimisation requirement for motorsport specialist Hamann was at the rear of the Aventador. The redesigned features were thus particularly extensive here. Hamann replaced the rear apron and rear diffuser with their own designs and constructions made of ultra-lightweight carbon fibre. The adjustable rear spoiler is made of the same material. Hamann also developed the sport final muffler specifically for the “Limited.” There is also a special race version available with backfire.

The voluminous air intake slots on the engine compartment lid supply the huge twelve-cylinder unit with plenty of cool air. Here, Hamann has integrated very high-quality clear-coated carbon fibre, which allows a clear view of the Lamborghini power package.

Highlights of the customised Aventador are the alloy wheels, which go perfectly with its new look.

700 hp (515 kW) and 690 Nm were the numbers to beat – and that’s what motor racing professional Hamann clearly managed to do. The completely redesigned software of the control unit of the twelve-cylinder in the “Limited” now reaches 760 hp (559 kW). The maximum torque of the 6.5-liter V12 increases with the identity field optimisation to a raging 735 Nm*.

Hamann’s “Limited Lambo” comes with the special matt grey paint “Stealth Grey” – and “poison” green contrasted body details. However, Hamann fulfils every customer desire imaginable – also in the vehicle’s interior: highest manufacturing quality and selected materials have been the benchmark at Hamann for over 28 years. A special hue also makes the interior unmistakable: the three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel is trimmed in green leather on the top and bottom. Intricately stitched applications on the instrument panel, the side panels and the centre console correspond excellently with other features, such as the instrument panel cover and the seat tracks of the exclusive, high-speed sports seats.

All elements marked with * are racing parts without German TÜV approval.

Only a few months ago Hamann Motorsport GmbH managed to surprise the automotive tuning scene with a brand new aerodynamic package for the Lamborghini flagship, called the Hamann Nervudo for Aventador the bright Arancio Argos finished car showed a very intricate styling kit at the 2013 IAA in Frankfurt … unfortunately not all the comments where positive and only days after the show closed the car was offered up for sale for nearly 460,000 Euro.

Six months later Hamann sets the record straight with a rather impressive looking Limited for Aventador evolution at the Geneva Auto Show, this time finished in a much more ‘custom’ paint scheme combining ‘Stealth Grey’ and ‘Poisson Green’ … I have to admit it does apeal better than the Lamborghini standard orange metallic, which is very nice on it’s own mind you, but a full tuning kit like the one from Hamann just screams for a more elaborate paintjob.

Looking closely at the front of the Hamann Limited for Aventador it looks like the bumper is in fact similar to the one used on the Nervudo before, however all of the light grey parts on the latter are now finished in clear carbon fiber, which in combination with the matte grey bodywork give a totally different impression, add those bright green grilles and this actually looks good.

The Hamann Limited side sills and extension just behind the front wheel again look identical to the Nervudo parts except the for carbon fiber finish on this new car which brings us around the back … and here things are in fact genuinly different. The lower rear diffuser it a redesigned unit alltogether, the vertical side fins show a square style now while the fins under the tray are nicely integrated and don’t show the ‘teeth’ anymore like the Nervudo unit did.

It looks like this new rear diffuser fits under a standard Aventador bumper without showing a crease along the bottom as it did on the earlier Nervudo kit, naturally the new Limited parts all show a glossy clear carbon fiber finish, but one more thing it evident at the rear … there are additional vents between the taillights now, these might have been necessary if Hamann disconnected the original rear wing movement … as for the rear wing, the Limited unit is again slightly modified when compared to the Nervudo one … there is a more promiment ‘dent’ in the middle, the design now follows the original lines at the rear better.

A rather controversial item on the original Hamann Nervudo was the engine cover air intake, obviously designed with the Lamborghini Veneno in mind, it didn’t please everybody, more specifically because it is purely for show … the air that get pulled into it is leaving again at the rear, in fact it is mounted on top of the standard fins, be it glass or not … still I rather like it, and with the clear carbon fiber finish on this new Hamann Limited it looks even better, especially as Hamann painted parts in the engine bay in the same Poisson Green … visible through the glass engine cover.

Wheels are once again the traditional, but still very impressive Hamann Edition Race units, finished in glossy black with Stealth Grey ‘bed’ and a thin Poisson Green stripe on the outer extremety, sizes are 9×20 inch up front and massive 13×21 inch at the rear … high performance tires in 255/30 ZR20 and 355/25 ZR21 make sure the increased power output of 760hp gets transmitted onto the street. By using a modified ECU developed by Hamann in-house and a bespoke exhaust system power output was increased by almost 10%, torque went up to 735 Nm (from 690 Nm on the standard 700hp Aventador).

Inside the Hamann Limited for Aventador we are greeted by lots of bright green leather, closely matched to the Poisson Green on the outside the interior receives Verde on a large part of the dashboard, on the sides of the central console and on the middle sections of the standard Aventador seats, the upper section and both lower parts of the steering wheel also get covered in bright green leather while both sides remain perforated black leather … all grey parts on the steering wheel do get a clear carbon fiber finish, just like the two shift paddles, the central console and the door handles.

The last pieces of green leather get wrapped around the dashboard bevel, and fitted to the armrest on the door and on the upper panel of these upward opening doors … also note the black parts of the seats aren’t finished in smooth leather but receive beautiful Alcantara instead … with bright green stitching naturally while the headrests, also finished in bright green show the famous Raging Bull crest using black thread.

I have to admit I rather liked the original Nervudo when I saw it in Frankfurt, only the grey parts on the bright orange paint looked a bit strange, in fact I virtually modified a photo I took into a white, a black and a different orange Nervudo … and it looked a whole lot better, especially the black one … with the modifications made to the kit and the new paint scheme I think the Hamann Limited for Aventador can become a success …

Last week we’ve learned the first production unit of the Lamborghini Veneno was actually on the production line which makes sense as the three lucky owners are awaiting delivery in 2013, as we all know there will be three different shades, green and white are destined for the United States while the red one was bought by a customer from the Middle East … however rumor has it the contract for this red version is up for grabs as the owner wouldn’t resist selling his Veneno even before he takes delivery of it.

And now we read on Teamspeed there is another big surprise around the corner … Automobili Lamborghini SpA has its vast worldwide dealer network contacting the top end of their local customer base with a rather special question … “Would you be interested in buying a Veneno Roadster?”.

The next day an article on CARS UK talks about exactly the same thing … a limited production run of a Lamborghini Veneno Roadster … only 9 to be built and priced over USD 4,000,000 each the idea of owning an open top version of the most impressive car Lamborghini ever built might not be so far fetched in the end.

Why did Lamborghini build the Veneno in the first place? To showcase just what they could do when the design department didn’t have to care about the usual practicalities … the Veneno is a showcase of the carbon fiber knowledge Lamborghini gathered while developing the Aventador … in a way the street version of the Veneno, because lets face it, sure the Veneno is street legal, but only barely if you ask me … this car looks more like a LeMans racer than a street super car.

So a Veneno is a hyper car capable of accelerations that would outshine some track cars and reach top speeds not too many other cars on the open road will ever see … hardly something you would use to cruise down the main street on a sunny afternoon … with the roof off, so why even consider a Veneno Roadster?

Well, why not? Remember the angular Reventón from late 2007, only 20 were built and all sold out almost as fast as the three Veneno units … two years later at the 2009 IAA show in Frankfurt Lamborghini showed the Reventón Roadster … the open top variant of the earlier model … so a Veneno Roadster wouldn’t be too much of a surprise.

Also take a look at some of the competition, didn’t Pagani pull a similar card out of his sleeve with the Zonda Cinque Roadster … only 5 built at USD1,800,000 each it only managed 678hp from a V12 and a top speed of 217mph … the Veneno Roadster would be at least USD4,000,000 but puts down 750hp from its V12 and reaches 220mph.

What did catch me a bit off guard was the fact they apparently intend to build 9 units of this open top Veneno … why? When you’ve sold only three close coupé models why would you decide to build nine Roadster versions … three of each shade this time perhaps?

So will the Gallardo Squadra Corse be the only ‘new’ model at the IAA in Frankfurt in a few weeks … or will we be seeing a Veneno Roadster take center stage … one thing is for sure … Frankfurt will not show the V10 successor.

A lot of talk has been going around about the Gallardo being replaced by a successor that might be shown at the 2013 IAA in Frankfurt, but right now the amazing V10 model is still in production and to celebrate 50 years of Lamborghini there is another limited edition for a very dedicated market.

Meet the Gallardo LP550-2 India Limited Edition only available in three shades: Arancio Borealis, Bianco Monocerus or Verde Ithaca (shades derived from the famous Italian TriColore flag) all boasting a wide stripe from front to rear in TriColore alike shades too. Another detail to celebrate the relationship between India and Italy as Mr Pavan Shetty mentions (he is Head of Operations for Lamborghini India), also note the limited production run of only six units will turn this car into an instant classic among sports cars enthusiast in India.

You can only decide on three shades for the outside, that also shows amazing high gloss cross spoke wheels, black air intakes up front and the glass engine cover, being based on the LP550-2 we are talking about 550HP on the rear wheels only while the side sills show a matte black section that nicely contrasts with the bright bodywork but the three shade theme continues inside.

When opening the door on the Gallardo LP550-2 India Limited Edition your first impression might be it looks a bit dull with the full black upholstery but take a closer look and discover the amazing detail built into this new limited edition Raging Bull. The stitching in this car has been taken to the next level the driver is sitting on black leather with bright orange stitching (Arancio Leonis) while the passenger is greeted by green stitching (Verde Ulysse) and to make the TriColore theme complete the center console, dashboard, steering wheels and door panels all get white stitching (Bianco Polar).

We all know exclusivity doesn’t come cheap, so keep in mind only six of these Gallardo LP550-2 India Limited Edition will be built (and from information I received the first one is already sold) so the list price of Rs. 3.06 crore (converts to about $520,000) in the Maharashtra showroom isn’t so exuberant in the end.

Meet one of most eagerly awaited, and completely misinterpreted Lamborghini models to hit the automotive market at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show, the extremely limited production Lamborghini Veneno one prototype and only three production models is all we’ll ever see about this very, very aggressive looking Raging Bull.

It might not be the rumored front engine V12 two door GT model that was talked about, nor the actual 50th Anniversary edition model to celebrate the founding of Automobili Lamborghini SpA back in 1963, and even less the long awaited Gallardo replacement none of these rumors turned out to be anywhere close to the truth. As usual Lamborghini managed to keep this completely unexpected model a secret until about 36 hours before it would be ‘unwrapped’ at the Geneva Auto Show suddenly a hazy magazine scan leaked onto the internet showing a very sharp, unexpected design for a totally different Lamborghini, and they even published the name: Veneno.

The Lamborghini Veneno (which is Spanish for poison by the way) is a perfect ‘anti-venom’ to the many rumors that have been going around on the web in the weeks prior to the 2013 Geneva Auto Show, which this time had a lot of high profile, exotic super cars trying to get into the spotlight, both from the carmakers themselves and from tuners like Mansory and as impressive as the likes from Ferrari, McLaren and Porsche were none could even hold a candle to this Lamborghini Veneno!

Lets take a look at some specs: the Lamborghini Veneno takes the chassis from the amazing handling Aventador LP700-4, and you might even recognize the doors and roofline of the base car (the entire monocoque is most likely used to avoid a new homologation) but I guess that is where the similarities end and the Veneno takes over.

Performance

The 6.5 liter V12 engine for the Veneno has been tuned up to 750hp, so I guess we could be talking about a Veneno LP750-4 as power still travels to all four wheels, which in this case receive stunning central locking bolts, are 20 inch up front and 21 inch at the back, and get a totally new design featuring a carbon fiber ring that acts like a turbine pulling much needed air onto the brakes, who need them when you are traveling at the top speed of 355 Km/h in the Veneno just in case you are wondering about it from 0 to 100Km/h takes only 2.8 seconds that is race car territory, and with a seven speed ISR manual gearbox you just know this Bull means business.

Lamborghini Veneno Exterior Design

The Geneva show car is finished in a special metallic grey shade combined with clear carbon fiber and features an amazing looking ‘TriColore’ stripe running from the front over the doors into the massive, wide rear air intake however only three of these Lamborghini Veneno units will be built. One to be finished in red, a second one in white and the third one in green which happen to be the three shades used on the Italian flag mind you so what about this grey car then?

This is the development and test car, which isn’t for sale most likely it will spend the remainder of its life on display at the factory museum in Sant’Agata after it has been transported around the world to various events held this year celebrating the 50th Anniversary. However rumor has it the Veneno production number 0 (Zero) will be used for further development of Lamborghini’s know how in the carbon fiber fabrication process.

We already knew Lamborghini was intending to show their most powerful production model ever at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show, and the Veneno is just that not only does the 6.5 liter V12 engine deliver a staggering 750hp to reach 100km/h from standing still in a mere 2.8 seconds but this new Raging Bull doesn’t get out of breath before reaching a top speed of 355 Km/h (220 Mph). All thanks to a very intricate design to enhance the aerodynamic the Veneno would feel right at home on the race track but it is still fully street legal, a perfect combination obtained by using lots of carbon fiber for the sharp and angular new design that has the entire car acting like an aerofoil, pushing down when you need the extra traction.

Up front we might recognize influences from the Sesto Elemento, the very sharp nose and large air vents in front of the windshield do bring back memories of the Sesto Elemento, a far forward stretching front spoiler receives a thin line of red paint to mimic a menacing look, just at the bottom of the fender we find a small air intake while the side of the front bumper receives vertical fins to improve stabilty naturally all finished in clear carbon fiber.

The headlights on the ‘hair splitting’ fenders are pulled a long way down to the low front spoiler while also being carved backward into the fenders if you look closely you immediately recognize the by now typical ‘Y’ shape headlights seen on both the current Gallardo and Aventador. The fender doesn’t meet the door but creates a large ‘gap’ between them, just like on a race car while a wide lower side sill connects the front wheels to the rear ones where a low mounted air outlet makes its appearance just ahead of the rear wheels.

The entire lower section of the Lamborghini Veneno shows a clear carbon fiber finish while the upper section receives some perfectly applied paint over the carbon fiber bodywork just take a look at that upward sweeping section holding the large side air intake behind the still upward opening doors, needed to cool the engine down, it doesn’t go flush between the rear fender and the engine cover but creates a ‘tunnel’ between them, again using clear carbon fiber for the most impressive visual impact ever.

Which brings us to a very large rear wing with fixed upright struts at either side while the horizontal fin between them is adjustable to get just the right amount of down-force you want when taking this lady out onto the circuit during one of those high speed track events one more thing to set apart the Veneno from everything else it might encounter on the open road is the roof mounted air intake that ‘flows’ into an additional vertical fin of the rear wing, something we’ve also seen on the Audi R18 race car and that actually helps to improve stability in fast corners experience gained from motorsports.

One more design detail can be found on the wheel arches these aren’t round like you would expect, but instead use a design we’ve previously seen on the Countach and Diablo after all we are talking about a car that is unveiled during the year celebrating 50 years of exotic super cars the Countach and Diablo are a major part of the history of the Raging Bull together with the Miura that actually paved the way that would lead up to the Lamborghini Veneno.

At the rear we get a triangular styled mid section similar to the one on the Sesto Elemento with Aventador style grilles on the extremities, stunning Y-shape taillights almost run from left to right while the lower diffuser looks like it came straight from a race car all in all a very intimidating rear section, even more so by the use of sharply styled fins on the engine cover creating an almost animal like style you can almost hear the Bull roar just from looking at the photos by the way, Veneno not only translates from Spanish into poison, but it was also the name of a ferocious bull from the Spanish bullfighting arena back in 1914 in Andalusia.

Lamborghini Veneno Interior

So the Lamborghini Veneno looks mangnificent on the outside, but what about the interior? Does it follow suit or not well it does, and how. The seats are made from Forged Composite, a Lamborghini patent, with padding covered in Carbon Skin, another Lamborghini patent that’s actually an upholstery made from carbon fiber soaked in resin to create a leather like material very high end, and extremely impressive inside the Lamborghini Veneno a similar setup was used on the Aventador J last year mind you.

The Lamborghini Veneno has a carbon fiber monocoque and sections of this chassis are visible on the central console and the sills, very nice and it just oozes race feeling from every angle, while the headliner and dashboard are covered in Carbon Skin mind you as much as the Veneno is a race car with a street license it still offers all safety measures to keep the driver and lucky passenger safe with airbags and ESP for instance.

At first glance the dashboard cluster may look like an Aventador unit, but take a closer look and you’ll see the graphics are totally different, much more aggressive and Lamborghini even installed a G-Force indicator how cool is that? With all the special ‘gadgets’ inside like a triplet of switches on the central console hidden from view beneath three covers finished in the TriColore shades the Veneno still puts 125Kgs less on the scales compared to the already lightweight Aventador, the result is a power to weight ratio of 1.93kg/hp you just have to experience the Veneno at least once in your lifetime, it will be mind-blowing, trust me.

The Verdict

Once again Automobili Lamborghini SpA didn’t disappoint at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show, this extremely intimidating Veneno took the spotlight from the day the doors opened and kept drawing most of the attention during the entire show most likely the most featured cover car of this year the Lamborghini Veneno, always different always Lamborghini the Bull certainly roars again!

In case you are now looking for your wallet don’t even bother, the Lamborghini Veneno has an MSRP (suggested retail price) of €3 million without taxes, which can hardly be called a bargain but keep in mind this is the ultimate showcase of Lamborghini’s carbon fiber manufacturing skills, only three will ever leave the factory gates and these are even more exclusive as all three will be finished in a different shade unfortunately the Veneno is already sold out!

In the year of its 50th anniversary Automobili Lamborghini is presenting an extremely exclusive model at the Geneva Motor Show 2013. Only three unique units of the Lamborghini Veneno will be built and sold. Its design is consistently focused on optimum aerodynamics and cornering stability, giving the Veneno the real dynamic experience of a racing prototype, yet it is fully homologated
for the road. With a maximum output of 552 kW / 750 hp, the Veneno accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and the top speed for this street-legal racing car stands at 355 km/h. It is priced at three million Euros plus tax – and all three units have already been sold to customers.

The Lamborghini Veneno features a twelve-cylinder power unit with a displacement of 6.5 liters, an extremely fast-shifting 7-speed ISR transmission with 5 driving modes and permanent all-wheel drive, as well as a racing chassis with pushrod suspension and horizontal spring/damper units. Above all, however, the Veneno benefits from the very special expertise that Automobili Lamborghini possesses in the development and execution of carbon-fiber materials – the complete chassis is produced as a CFRP monocoque, as is the outer skin of this extreme sports car. The inside, too, features innovative, Lamborghini-patented materials such as Forged Composite and CarbonSkin.

Fully in keeping with the tradition of the brand, the name of the Veneno originates from a legendary fighting bull.
Veneno is the name of one of the strongest and most aggressive fighting bulls ever. He is also famous for being one of the fastest bulls in the history of bullfighting. His name became popular in 1914, when he fatally wounded the famous torero José Sánchez Rodríguez during the bullfight in the arena Sanlúcar de Barrameda’s, Andalusia, Spain.

The Design
The Lamborghini Veneno brings the aerodynamic efficiency of a racing prototype to the road. Every detail of its form pursues a clear function – exceptional dynamics, optimum downforce with minimal drag and perfect cooling of the high-performance engine. Yet the Veneno is unmistakably a Lamborghini; it sticks firmly to the consistent design philosophy of all the super sports cars from Sant’Agata Bolognese. That includes the extreme proportions, as well as the powerfully arrow-shaped front end and the interplay between razor-sharp lines and precise surfaces.

The entire front end of the Lamborghini Veneno has been laid out for perfect airflow and downforce. The front end works as a large aerodynamic wing. Large channels guide the air to the outlets in the front hood and in front of the windshield, as well as to the front wheels. Characteristic for Lamborghini is the Y shape of the angular headlamps that reach well into the fenders as well as the scissor doors.
The division of the fenders from the car body is a reference to the world of sport prototypes and optimizes at the same time the aerodynamic flow. The side line of the Veneno is therefore dominated by enormous sills and the mighty wheel arches front and rear. Here, too, sophisticated aerodynamics ensure perfect airflow to the large openings for engine cooling and intake air.

Just like the front end, the rear of the Veneno has also been optimized for underbody aerodynamics and high speed cornering stability. The smooth underbody transitions into a substantial diffuser framing the four sizable exhaust pipes divided by a splitter to increase the level of downforce peak.
Large openings serve to ventilate the engine bay and manage the airflow to the rear wing, with the only sealed area at the rear being reserved for the license plate. The rear lights, including brake lights, indicator lights and fog lights, pick up the Y theme as well. The engine cover sports six wedge-shaped openings, with the focus here, too, on optimum dissipation of heat from the engine. The engine cover extends into a large central ‘shark’ fin, which improves efficiency during braking and rear-end stability, by delivering additional downforce at high yaw angles and thus increasing the high-speed cornering performance.

The adjustable rear wing’s design is the product of Motorsport experience and extensive aerodynamic simulation to ensure the best performance of rear wing interaction with rear diffuser air flow.

The exclusive alloy wheels measure 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear and are equipped with center mountings. Their design is also determined by aerodynamic functionality – a carbon-fiber ring around the wheel rim works like a turbine to deliver additional cooling air to the carbon-ceramic brake discs.

The Veneno is painted in an all-new, grey metallic-look color with individual parts gleaming in the black of the visible carbon-fiber structure. The only car to display all three colors of the Italian flag as an accent is the car shown at Geneva, the unit which will remain property of Lamborghini. The three cars sold to customers each feature a single color of the Italian national flag, together a triology in green, white and red accents and thus representing each a unique piece.

The Technology
The Veneno is further proof of Automobili Lamborghini’s unique competence in CFRP-based lightweight design. A monocoque made from carbon-fiber reinforced polymer forms the basis of the Veneno. It is largely similar to the Aventador monocoque – as are the aluminum sub-frames front and rear – although its form has been adapted to the new design. All exterior parts are made from CFRP. The Veneno meets all safety and registration requirements worldwide, and naturally also incorporates a full complement of safety systems from airbags through to the adapted ESP handling system.

Carbon fiber dominates the interior of the Veneno, too. The carbon fiber monocoque becomes visible inside the car in the area of the central tunnel and the sills. The two lightweight bucket seats are made from Lamborghini’s patented Forged Composite. The woven carbon-fiber CarbonSkin® is used to clad the entire cockpit, part of the seats and the headliner. This unique material is soaked in a very special kind of resin that stabilizes the fiber structure, while allowing the material to remain supple. Like a hi-tech fabric, this extremely fine-looking carbon-fiber matting fits perfectly to any form, and it reduces weight.

The racing personality has been transferred also to the instrument panel. It has been completely redesigned and now, thanks to an aggressive graphics and to the introduction of some additional features like the G-meter, provides all necessary information to the driver for control of the car.

The systematic, carbon-fiber, lightweight design of the Veneno is not only visible, it is also evident on the scales: With a dry weight of just 1,450 kilograms (3,190 pounds), the Veneno is even 125 kilos (275 pounds) lighter than the already extremely lean Aventador. The highly beneficial power-to-weight ratio of 1.93 kg/hp (4,25 lbs/hp) guarantees a performance that is nothing short of mind-blowing. Even the stunning acceleration figure of 2,8 seconds cannot adequately describe it. Despite an aerodynamic setup configured for extreme downforce, the Veneno possesses exceptionally low wind resistance which allows it to reach a top speed of 355 km/h (221 mph).

The twelve-cylinder with a displacement of 6.5 liters is a thrilling combination of absolute high-revving frenzy and phenomenal pulling power. Its output has been raised to 552 kW / 750 hp, facilitated through enlarged intake paths, optimized thermodynamics, a slightly higher rated rpm and an exhaust system with even lower back pressure. The ISR manual gearbox, permanent all-wheel drive and pushrod suspension have all been specifically adjusted to meet the demands of the Veneno.

The Lamborghini Veneno celebrates its first public appearance at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The vehicle on show is the number 0, the Lamborghini test vehicle. Its future has not been determined yet, but it will allow Lamborghini to continue its activity of testing and innovation, both on the road and on the race track. The trilogy made of three unique vehicles will be produced in the course of the year 2013 and handed over to their future owners.

In a few days the 2013 edition of the Geneva Auto Show will open its doors, first for official members of the press but shortly after that for thousands of avid car fans from all over the world … and this year has some serious promises to fulfill, a lot has been going on about new super cars and concepts from the most impressive makes out there … among them Lamborghini.

Earlier this week Lamborghini published an announcement both on their FaceBook page and on the main site : Worldwide Unveil – New Lamborghini super sports car March 5 at 11:00am Geneva Motor Show – Palexpo in Geneva, Switzerland … now this sounds really interesting.

The rumor mill has been doing overtime the last weeks, talk about a special 50th Anniversary edition of the Lamborghini Aventador flagship with an LP720-4 denomination … hinting to an increased power output of 720 hp soon become overshadowed after an interview with Stephan Winkelmann mentioned a car with two doors, two seats and a V12 … which immediately made people think about a front engine GT style Lamborghini to compete with the Ferrari FF … and recently Italian based Quattroroute magazine published an article that hinted towards a totally different Raging Bull for the 2013 Geneva Auto Show.

This year we will be seeing the exotics like the Ferrari F150, the McLaren P1 and the Porsche 918 Spyder competing with each other for attention … however if the article from Quattroroute has it right they might all be blown out of the water by a new, highly limited Lamborghini ultra-exotic that looks like nothing we’ve seen before. Rumor has it this new Raging Bull could create the same impact as the legendary Miura back in the Sixties, which stunned the super car market at the time … filling those shoes will be a difficult task.

We’ve seen limited edition Lamborghini before, the Reventon was actually a first step into this niche market of high priced, low volume special models based on then current production models, later the Reventon Roadster came around, built in even less numbers. Up next was a concept car that was turned in a limited edition, track only model because a lot of customers put in firm orders for the $2,200,000 Sesto Elemento, and if uniqueness is what you’ve been looking for the 2012 Aventador J was just the right car for you … only one made, sold before it even showed up on the Geneva stand for a rumored $2,750,000.

Fast forward one year … the 2013 Geneva Auto Show could again be the place to be for another very special Lamborghini, Quattroroute talks about a model that is still based on the mechanics of the Aventador, but that has a totally different style … they even mention a roof mounted air intake that extends into a vertical fin running into a large, fixed rear wing.

Naturally even more carbon fiber would be used on this new model, which will be totally customized on a ‘made to order’ basis to create a personal Lamborghini for the lucky customer … add even more power into the equation and the fact only three or four will be made and you just know this Lamborghini is intended for a special kind of owner … for one it might not even be street legal but could only be used on private tracks like the Sesto Elemento … but secondly the price might be between $3,000,000 and $4,000,000 … so in addition to being the fastest Lamborghini ever it will also be the most expensive ever to leave the doors in Sant’Agata.

So where does that leave a special Aventador 50th Anniversary edition? No official statement has been made on this, but I would think the factory still has something in store for us that will only be unveiled during the big celebration in Italy that will be held in May.

What about a front engine V12 GT Lamborghini? That seems to have been wishful thinking and not likely to happen, first up would be the production of the Urus SUV Concept as the Estoque has been postponed indefinitely and we also have to get a Gallardo replacement later this year or early 2014 … so Automobili Lamborghini SpA still has a lot of work ahead of themselves.

It seems Stephan Winkelmann was right when he mentioned Lamborghini will keep building one-off and limited edition models next to the regular production versions … we’ll know in a few days what Sant’Agata has been cooking up for us this year … if the Aventador J and Sesto Elemento are a hint of things to come, I’m sure we’ll be pleasantly impressed next week.

Based on a Quattroroute article

Stephan Winkelmann, CEO and president of Automobili Lamborghini SpA has already confirmed there will be a special 50th Anniversary edition model unveiled later this year, most likely at the celebration in and around Sant’Agata in May 2013.

Naturally no details have been released yet but taking into account the earlier anniversary editions from Lamborghini it is safe to state we’ll be getting a special Aventador model to celebrate ‘100 years of innovation in only 50 years’ as Mr Winkelmann puts it. Most likely we’ll be seeing an Aventador in a special 50th Anniversary shade (30th Anniversary lavender on the Diablo and Verde Artemis on the Murciélago remember) … but think about this: wouldn’t it be nice to have a full carbon fiber body on an Aventador Edizione Cinquanta?

Just in case you are seeing things this way too we’ve put together a little virtual mockup of how an Aventador might look wearing a clear carbon fiber designer suit and rolling on special center lock wheels … just to add a touch of color we’ve put an orange stripe on the doors with a small 50th Anniversary logo … and the intakes in the front bumper get a touch of Arancio Argos too … just to keep it in style with the latest Gallardo Edizione Tecnica you know.

Even with no official details available it is always nice to dream right … and to spark our visions Lamborghini just released a nice teaser movie about their 50th Anniversary:

enjoy …

We have seen the official press photos from DMC on their highly limited STAGE 2 evolution of the Molto Veloce kit on December 12, a date specifically selected for its appeal ‘12.12.12’ does look cool, and it suits the impressive LP900-4 Super Veloce (as it is also called) from DMC like a glove.

The DMC SV kit will be limited to 10 units only, and no two DMC Aventador SV will look the same as every request from a customer is taken into consideration … but the client will only be able to obtain the kit if DMC agrees to sell it, based on the actual Aventador the kit would be installed on … and based on the location of the car … DMC wants to make sure no two SV’s run into each other.

We know for a fact four of these ten DMC STAGE2 SV kits are already sold, the car on this page finished in Arancio Argos with some additional black stripes is number 1 of 10, but after seeing our virtual render on a Bianco Canopus Aventador I do think one the three other kits on the books will be fitted to a white Bull in the near future.

Back to the DMC Aventador LP900-4 SV 1 of 10 seen here, located in Kuala Lumpur it has become a very popular car overnight as DMC has been publishing BTS (behind the scenes) shots of the build on this car on their FB account, so we’ve seen parts of this car over the last few weeks … only now we get the first overall shot of how it actually looks in the end.

And it looks very different to any other Lamborghini Aventador out there, naturally the famous DMC front spoiler in Jota style draws your attention at once … even more so as the owner took a rather strange decision on the finish: he kept most of the spoiler in clear carbon fiber but had the traditionally black air intake surrounds color coded to the Arancio Argos bodywork, same thing with the F1 canards on the side … instead of clear carbon fiber these are now bright orange.

The same orange paint has also been used on the outer borders of the new DMC front spoiler, creating a kind of pin striping look out there, the Arancio touch has been extended to the factory standard wheels … only on the spokes however, the outer rim of the Lamborghini wheels is still black … note this is one of these rare Arancio Argos Aventador that has a UniColor Nero Ade interior, most of these have the Bicolore Sportivo interior with orange insets … this full black interior looks more menacing.

Black is also used on the exterior rear view mirrors, it looks like there’s even an Italian flag decal on those mirrors pods, furthermore the owner went for a black stripe from the front wheel right into the large side air intakes in front of the rear wheel … there is even the 50th Anniversary logo on the doors, and an SV script above the rear wheels.

At the moment these shots were taken the car was still missing the full carbon fiber rear bumper and tail section, these will however be mounted once they arrive in the shop, still the beautiful side sills, the massive SV style rear wing and the lower, rear diffuser are already present, together with the DMC exhaust system.

It might not please every Aventador owner out there, but you have to admit the front bumper does look very impressive and I’m sure the nine remaining kits will be equally impressive … if not more.

German based DMC has been putting teasers online about their new Aventador kit for a while now, finally today we get to see the entire package … or to put it in the words of DMC themselves: ‘12.12.12 the Bull unleashed’.

The DMC Aventador SV is in fact an evolution of the already known Molto Veloce kit that has been available on the market for a while now, only recently a matte white Aventador was shown with the full kit at the 2012 SEMA show, receiving lots of positive comments we might add … but DMC hasn’t been standing still, they actually took the entire concept to the next level … or should we say STAGE 2 as DMC calls this evolution.

In fact the original Molto Veloce kit will now be known as the STAGE 1 kit, to which this new STAGE 2 kit can be added as some parts of the DMC Aventador SV are taken from the Molto Veloce kit with the addition of a brand new front and rear bumper … the latter are priced at 12,500 Euro each by the way.

But there is a catch … even if you have money burning a hole in your pocket you might not be able to get hold of this STAGE 2 evolution. For one the production of the both the front and rear bumper in carbon fiber is limited at ten units, which let’s face it isn’t too much … DMC wanted to keep this impressive evolution of their STAGE 1 kit very exclusive.

In fact DMC goes one step further in maintaining exclusivity for their customers … the new front and rear bumper from this STAGE 2 kit can not be ordered just like that, in fact as an owner of a Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 you must have the DMC Molto Veloce kit already installed to even be able to apply for this STAGE 2 kit … and every single application will be scrutinized by DMC to ensure no two Aventador will look the same.

Requirements to be able to buy the STAGE 2 kit are based on location, owner and even shade of the Raging Bull … the car on this page is based in Hong Kong and finished in the classic Arancio Argos shade … so DMC will not sell a second kit like this in the same area to be mounted on another orange Aventador … exclusivity taken to the ultimate level.

However when you keep in mind the type of customer that would apply for this STAGE 2 kit I don’t think a full respray of the Aventador will be a problem … these people still have enough money to burn on creating a one of a kind Raging Bull anyway … or should that be one of ten?

So what makes this new DMC Aventador SV or STAGE 2 kit so special you might ask … for one just take a look at the photos, that front bumper looks like it has been taken straight from the Aventador J we’ve seen in Geneva earlier this year … naturally it isn’t a perfect replica … DMC made it even better. Sure those typical vertical fins are there, but other than that DMC continued by improving the design to create more stability and a better airflow into the large air intakes.

On the side of the new front bumper (it actually completely replaces the original bumper) DMC mounts additional ‘canards’ to create even more down force and further improve dynamics up front … the new front bumper is made completely in carbon fiber, which would look amazing on a black car I think, on this orange Aventador a large part of the unit has been color coded … the undertray and fins are still visible carbon fiber however … which looks absolutely amazing I might add.

The side sills come from the original STAGE 1 Molto Veloce kit, so we’re not going to stand still too long on them, we’ve seen them before and they look good … so we swing around to the back … to be impressed once more.

At first glance one might think the rear diffuser is the same from the Molto Veloce kit … but it isn’t, a very special modification had to be made for this STAGE 2 evolution … an additional air vent has to be inserted into the carbon fiber unit … because the new, lightweight titanium exhaust system (which sheds 90% of the original units weight at only 3.45kgs) has taken on the habit of impersonating a flamethrower … if DMC would mount the original lower diffuser on this kit the flames could damage the beautiful carbon fiber weave.

On these photos the new rear bumper still shows the clear carbon fiber finish, and it looks like it belongs this way, which is a good thing, at least the car looks right like this … I wouldn’t go as far as stating ‘factory original’ but I do think if Automobili Lamborghini SpA had the intention of putting their Aventador J look onto a production model it might look similar to this DMC Aventador SV STAGE 2.

The rear wing is still the same as used in the Molto Veloce kit … there is no need to change a winning team right, so DMC left it alone. A small detail was changed on this specific Arancio Argos model however, if you look closely at the earlier photos of this car you will notice the carbon fiber rear wing ‘sits’ on a new deck spoiler … the latter being finished in carbon fiber too.

With the massive clear carbon fiber rear section already looking very imposing DMC decided the deck spoiler should be color coded to the car again, leaving the rear wing in clear carbon fiber however … this way the ‘black rear’ is broken by a nice orange section which makes the entire section look a lot more balanced out.

Wheels are a personal statement, and the Forgiato wheels on this car remained, however the color coded spokes are now finished in fashionable black … which I have to admit does look a lot better in line with the rest of the car: you have a black front chin spoiler, black sections on the side sills and a completely black rear section … so the black wheels perfectly blend it all together.

If we read the official press release from DMC on ‘STAGE 2: The DMC Aventador LP900 SV LIMITED EDITION (10 of 10)’ we get the impression there is more to come … they list STAGE 1, STAGE 2 … but also STAGE 3 … which will be even more dramatic than this STAGE 2 … believe me, I know.

As with the STAGE 1 kit, this new STAGE 2 kit can be mounted by official DMC workshops installed worldwide, however if you would like to have the engine tuned to 900hp they strongly suggest having the car flown into the DMC workshop in Germany or Switzerland, just to make sure it all gets installed perfectly.

To increase power from 700 to 900 hp DMC goes for individual intake throttle plates for each of the 12 cylinders, new fuel pumps, fuel lines, modulators and injection nozzles replace the original parts, the ECU will be reprogrammed and a full pressure control system takes care of the engine, and after receiving a completely new wiring harness will be rebranded as an LP900 unit.

DMC aleady released a nice movie about this amazing new tuning package :

I think this STAGE 2: The DMC Aventador LP900 SV LIMITED EDITION (10 of 10) will be a big hit on the high end tuning market for the Lamborghini Aventador … just imagine how it would look on the new Roadster edition … as a matter of fact I already did.

People usually don’t buy a Lamborghini for practical reasons, nor for economical ones, instead a Raging Bull is bought for only one reason, to own the best of the best when it comes to exotic and rare super cars … on most corners in the world you don’t encounter an Aventador LP700-4 or a Murciélago LP670-4 Super Veloce, so these cars have become dream cars … the main item on a bedroom poster, just like the Countach did in the Eighties.

So what do you do when you just can’t seem to be able to buy a Lamborghini, let alone keep it insured and maintained over time? You get the second best thing: a limited edition bike that has been custom made by Swiss based BMC … there are however two small hurdles to overcome: first of all they will only build 20 units of this bike … and secondly it does still carry a serious price tag of € 20,000 … which isn’t that bad if you consider the original BMC Impec bike would also set you back a cool € 12,000.

So what does 20K of hard earned Euro buys these days from BMC, for one you get their top of the line Impec model, which stands for impecable in case you were wondering, but naturally the Lamborghini edition goes way beyond the ‘standard’ model. For one you get handle bars that are covered with orange suede leather at the top and black suede leather for the bottom part, both using the most amazing contrasting stitching, naturally the Di2 electronic dérailleur system from Shimano is used while the wheels are unbranded, but blend in perfectly being completely black.

The saddle gets covered in smooth black suede with a very nice, contrasting orange stripe along the lenght, together with red stitching naturally, the pin for this saddle and part of the frame below is finished in orange too … and not your ordinary orange either … this is the exact shade used for the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 as it was unveiled at the Geneva Auto Show in 2011: Arancio Argos … most other parts of the frame are clear carbon fiber, not in a high gloss but with a very nice satin finish.

A number of BMC and Lamborghini scripts are put on various parts of the frame, and right up front we even get a Raging Bull logo … this time with ‘Automobili Lamborghini’ script above the Bull crest, a very nice touch that sets this bike apart from the cars it is related to.

Kingway Cars has been an authorized Automobili Lamborghini SpA dealer for the Hong Kong region since 1992, over the last 20 years several major icons in Italian automotive history made at Sant’Agata have been driven from the grounds of Kingway Cars. Just to put things into perspective we are talking about the by now classic Diablo that was brand new in the Nineties, models like the VT, VT Roadster, SV and SV-R, the race inspired edition of the rear-wheel drive Sport Veloce Diablo could all be found at Kingway Cars … the Diablo era came to an end with the magnificent Diablo VT 6.0 model and the limited edition Diablo GT model.

After that an impressive line up of Murciélago models would be sold, during the 20th Anniversary celebration at the Arcade, the Cyber Port they even managed to have one of the very rare 40th Anniversary edition Murciélago on display, finished in the beautiful dark metallic green shade it was actually parked next to a green LP670-4 Super Veloce edition of the same model … both being limited edition models by the way … and as a blast from the past we can admire a bright yellow Lamborghini Miura SV on display too, the car that put the Lamborghini name into the automotive books forever.

Alongside these more ‘classic’ models Kingway Cars also had several Aventador LP700-4 during the celebration, as a flagship model it sure impresses people … but the celebration of being an exceptional sales and after-sales service for a make like Lamborghini for a period of 20 years was a perfect opportunity to unveil something really special.

The Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 HK20, or Hong Kong 20th Anniversary edition as it is called specifically will only be available for Hong Kong customers, and more importantly only 8 of these will be built. Priced at HK$3,680,000 (which is about US$475,000 or just over € 375,000) these are not the least expensive out there I guess, however do note this price includes taxes already, so it isn’t that extravagant in the end, and you do end up with a very special, complete V10 model.

These LP550-2 HK20 models are finished in Bianco Monocerus, a solid glossy white shade that is rolling on mat gold finished Cordelia cross spoke wheels with the side sills finished in black to contrast nicely with the white bodywork. The standard rear wing found on the Gallardo is also finished in mat black on the HK20 model, which is also the shade used for the brake calipers by the way.

On the outside we see a dual stripe on the front hood, somewhat similar to the Performante but on the HK20 we get gold stripes, going from the front hood over the roof to the engine cover which is the transparent version for this model.

Naturally the HK20 limited edition has some bespoke items only available on these 8 cars, like the mat white top, HK20 crest on the front spoiler and rear bumper, mat gold stripes, mat black rear spoiler, mat black side sills and mat white exterior rear view mirrors, while on the inside we are welcomed by a very nice combination of black alcantara and leather with black stitching in the amazing looking Q-Citura pattern.

The e-Gear selector plate is also finished in mat black and features the HK20 script, just like on the headrests and the sides, the two levers behind the perforated leather steering wheel are finished in a nicely contrasting red shade and there is also a plaque with the serial number of each of the 8 units built.

The base of the HK20 is the Gallardo LP550-2, so we still get a 5,204cc V10 engine that delivers 550hp at 8,000 rpm with an impressive 540 Nm at 6,500 rpm on the rear wheels only, trying their best to get those Pirelli 295/30 ZR19 tires not to get shaved too quickly. Up front you get those great looking Cordelia wheels finished in limited edition mat gold wrapped with 235/35 ZR19 rubber from the Pirelli plant … all that expensive rubber will get you to 100 Km/h from a standstill in only 3.9 seconds … and if you are really courageous the HK20 will only reach its limit at 320 Km/h.

So will we ever see the Gallardo LP550-2 HK20 over here in Europe or even in the United States? I highly doubt it, only 8 will be built … and those are only available in Hong Kong anyway, similar to the Super Veloce China Edition … only very little numbers ever built, and hardly ever seen outside the original market it was sold on. I for one regret that actually because let’s face it : this HK20 does look very nice … however I think you will be able to convince the Ad Personam program to at least get a Gallardo that would look close to this HK20 limited edition … without the custom HK20 scripts naturally.

We’ve only recently received word of the Gallardo Bicolore, a limited edition model based on the successful LP560 model and now we get images of yet another special model of the V10 Raging Bull, this time the Singapore Limited Edition, to be built only 10 times, each with a serial number on a special plaque.

Why yet another limited edition you might ask ? Well this one is actually to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Lamborghini Singapore, and there is even more, this car will only be available in black or white and for each of them sold Lamborghini Singapore will donate S$20,000 to the Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund (SPMF) in total offering S$200,000 for those students that are less fortunate to be able to go to school anyway.

These ten cars have been specially commissioned by the Lamborghini factory to be sold on the Singapore market only, available in either black or white these Gallardo cars distinct themselves from the regular LP570-4 Superleggera by using red stripes on the side and different wheels, in fact the same wheels as on the Bicolore model. There is also a small plaque on the side of the car with a Merlion logo stating this to be the Singapore Limited Edition.

In the end it took three months to finalize this concept, Mr Melvin Goh, managing director of Lamborghini Singapore negotiated directly with the factory in Sant’Agata in mid February 2011 a special gala dinner was held in the well-known Mandarin Oriental in Singapore during which the keys to the first two cars in this series were given to their new, fortunate owners.

Apparently these cars look like an evolution of the LP570-4 Superleggera, however their specifications show a Max power of 550 hp at 8000 rpm which could mean these are actually LP550-2 models with the front spoiler, side skirts and small rear wing of the Superleggera mounted.

However we received no information that these are rear wheel drive only, still they reach a top speed of 320 Km/h and reach 100 Km/h from standstill in a mere 3.9 seconds figures that leave no doubt, these Gallardo Singapore Limited Edition are still true blooded Raging Bulls.
