Whether C-SMC’s manufacturing economics could push those numbers lower on the Temerario remains unconfirmed, but the direction of the technology clearly points toward broader accessibility.
From the Sesto Elemento’s Skeleton to the Huracán’s Cabin
Lamborghini’s relationship with forged composite stretches back to 2010, when the material debuted on the Sesto Elemento concept. That car used forged composite almost exclusively for structural purposes: the monocoque, suspension components, and body panels were all formed from the material, exploiting its strength-to-weight ratio in a 999-kilogram track weapon. Lamborghini has not confirmed specific forged composite applications for the Temerario. Based on the manufacturing advantages described and the Temerario’s expected production volumes, expanding C-SMC into more interior and potentially exterior trim components would be a logical step. The technology’s geometric freedom could also enable design language that traditional carbon weave cannot replicate, giving Lamborghini’s design team new tools to differentiate the Temerario’s cabin from competitors.
For buyers considering a Temerario allocation, the question worth asking your dealer is whether the forged composite option list expands beyond what the Huracán offered.
