Only 40 fortunate customers will be able to drive the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 in real life, this track-only supercar has been created by Lamborghini’s in-house Squadra Corse department from a design by the Centro Stile, as an opportunity for clients to experience true track driving, outside of the Super Trofeo or GT3 competition, hence the Essenza SCV12 could be built without FIA restrictions for example.
The owner of an Essenza SCV12 will have the option to have his car parked in their garage or have it stored inside a special Lamborghini facility in Sant’Agata, with the option of having his (or her) Essenza shipped to one of the more prestigious tracks around the world where it can be driven is special events exclusively for Essenza owners, with full support from the engineers of Lamborghini’s Squadra Corse department that will accompany the car to that track.
But now, thanks to Gameloft, we can all have a stint behind the wheel of this limited edition, track-only Lamborghini Essenza SCV12, as it will be featured on the new Asphalt 9: Legends game that will come out on May 13th, note that Asphalt 9 recently smashed the 1 billion downloads mark, making this one of the more popular driving games around, and what’s even better … in the game, you’ll be able to drive the Essenza on some of the most famous roads in the world, not only on the track.
Giorgio Sanna, Head of Automobili Lamborghini Motorsport, commented: “There is a digital version of all the GT championships that Lamborghini competes in, giving real drivers and fans the chance to have fun but also to gain experience through simulations on virtual circuits. Gaming certainly has a more playful and less realistic approach, but it’s an important tool for introducing our cars to the general public and the younger generation. For this reason, we are very pleased that the Essenza SCV12 has been chosen by Asphalt 9: Legends, allowing players to experience the thrill of getting behind the wheel of our track-only hypercar”.
In the Asphalt 9: Legends game you’ll be able to select from eight different colors on the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 to compete in challenges, a kind of mobile e-Sport competition over three open qualifying sessions. The ‘Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 Challenge’ will start with the first session between 13 and 16 May, a second session between 10 and 13 June, with a final session between 1 and 4 July. The 100 best drivers from these three sessions will compete against each other in a closing session from August 5 to 8 … from those, the top 8 will proceed to the finals on September 18.
