In a display of luxury and performance, the Dubai Police have officially added a new Lamborghini Urus Performante to their fleet. The handover ceremony was a highlight at the Dubai Airshow 2023, where Paolo Sartori, Regional Head of Automobili Lamborghini Middle East and Africa, presented the keys to Major General Ahmed Mohammed bin Thani, the acting commander-in-chief of Dubai Police.
This event not only symbolized the strong partnership between Dubai Police and Lamborghini but also coincided with Lamborghini’s 60th anniversary.
A Super SUV for Dubai Police Supercar Fleet
The Urus Performante is engineered for power and speed. It features a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, producing 666 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. This enables the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in an astonishing 3.3 seconds, with a maximum top speed of 306 km/h (about 190 mph). These specifications position the Urus Performante as an ideal rapid-response vehicle for the Dubai Police.
Customization for Police Operations
Adapted to suit the rigorous demands of police work, the Urus Performante features a unique design tailored for law enforcement. The exterior sports a green and white livery with the police emblem. It has a 360° blue LED light bar, an electric siren on the rear spoiler, and other police-specific modifications.
The vehicle houses an armored gun box, a fold-down message display, compartments for service equipment, and a defibrillator, ensuring readiness for various emergencies.
