During the 2015 Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo season in Europe, North America, and Asia, the Gallardo would still be eligible, but it would have to compete next to the brand new Huracán Super Trofeo that made its Global Debut at “The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering” in August 2014 as the LP620-2, only 10 more hp compared to the street version of the new Huracán, but with rear-wheel drive only.

The Lamborghini Super Trofeo one-make series was already a success with the Gallardo, but when the Huracan took over, things really started going well, it wasn’t long until they added an in-house developed Huracán GT3 race car, effectively putting Reiter Engineering GmbH who developed the Gallardo GT3 aside, the Squadra Corse department grew up, and only three years later, in September 2017 they came up with the first evolution of the Huracán Super Trofeo car and called it the Super Trofeo EVO, a massive redesign turned the V10 into an extremely aggressive looking car (the GT3 version got the EVO suffix too by the way), and another important change was the replacement of Blancpain for Roger Dubuis.

Another four years later, and after more than 400 Lamborghini Huracán race cars have been produced, Squadra Corse apparently deemed it necessary to evolve the successful one-make racer again for the 2022 season and call it the EVO2, we might have a word with the department that comes up with these names I’m sure they could come up with something more interesting than ‘EVO2’ for this brand new Bull for the track.

A small detail, but very interesting, the Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo and GT3 race cars are actually built on the same assembly line as the regular streetcars, it must be cool to visit the factory and see one of these ultra-aggressive looking Super Trofeo EVO2 cars between an Huracán EVO coupe and an EVO RWD Spyder the contrast must be mindblowing seeing those together.

The new Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 will be seen in action during the 2022 season, which will the 14th season of the series, and this version of the Huracán ST is the most high-performance one ever to race in this one-make series, it is safe to say the Lamborghini Huracán model is the best-selling sports car ever for Lamborghini since 1963, and the option to have gentlemen racers and professionals battle it out on the track in the Super Trofeo series has surely helped to reach unseen production numbers for this ‘Baby Lamborghini’.

From the start of the Super Trofeo championship in 2009, a total of 950 drivers have competed for over 310 hours on famous track all over the globe, and the experience gathered from racing these bespoke Huracán to the limit on the track had surely helped the development of the road cars too, it’s a win-win situation for both venues, and with a total of 400 pure race cars built up to April 2021, the intention is to reach the 500 units mark with this new Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 that is available for €250,000 before taxes, and just in case you already own the ‘old’ Lamborghini Huracán EVO version, there is a conversion kit available in early 2022 to EVO2 specifications, we will see the EVO2 in action on May 28 at Le Castellet, during round two of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe.

When we take a closer look at the new Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 we notice some Sian influence at the front, with the open fender next to the new, high-intensity LED headlights, the overall design of the new front bumper resembles the Huracán STO road car, the vents above the front wheels extract air from the hot disk brakes, but also direct air to the side sills, adding downforce at the same time as creating an airflow into the intakes for the rear wheels.

At the rear, we also notice new LED taillights, according to the press release they remind us of the legendary Lamborghini Countach, but our attention gets drawn to that intricate rear diffuser, and that massive, imposing, clear carbon fiber rear wing, it is clear from every angle this car was developed for optimal airflow, there are a lot of vertical fins to be found everywhere on the body of this Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2, I’m sure this car will be rock stable at tremendous speeds with this kind of aerodynamics.

And it not only a cosmetic change that distinguishes the Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 from the previous EVO version, on this new model the front brakes go to 390 mm rotors compared to the 380 mm units on the previous model, but this also allows the use of larger brake pads for better performance and wear. The engine is still the naturally aspirated 5.2-Liter V10 unit with 620 hp going to the rear wheels only through an X-Trac sequential six-speed gearbox.

So what if you really like the aggressive styling on the Huracán STO, but you really like a Spyder, and you don’t have the patience to wait for customer deliveries to start on the Super Trofeo Omolagata? In that case, you can turn to Vorsteiner Nero for help.

But that’s also the main limitation of the Essenza SCV12, it’s a track-only car, you are not allowed to drive it on the open road, some owners will probably take their SCV12 onto the street, but it’s illegal … so if you want racecar looks, and still be legally allowed to drive on the street, Zyrus Engineering from Norway has an answer for you.

The Zyrus LP1200 Strada, a limited production, street-legal version of their earlier LP1200-R we showed you in August 2020, they call it the LP1200 V2, and it’s based on the Lamborghini Huracán LP640-4 (probably the Huracan Performante, and not the EVO). Zyrus replaces over 600 parts from the factory standard Huracán to create the LP1200 Strada.

To keep the Zyrus LP1200 Strada legal to drive on the streets, the power output is limited to 900hp, but with the press of a button, the full 1,200hp is unleashed … to be used on the track only naturally, the Zyrus bespoke Smart Dash control system allows the driver complete customization of the car’s parameters … something also possible via the smartphone app.

It took Zyrus two years of testing and over 6,000 km to get the perfect setup for their Zyrus LP1200 Strada, with a weight of 1,427kg, all necessary safety measures for a street-legal car are still present, thanks to the highly modified styling, which includes a massive rear wing, done completely in-house in Norway, the Zyrus LP1200 Strada has 2,010kg of downforce at 200 km/h.

• Examining the new Huracán STO, short for Super Trofeo Omologata, reveals that it’s a road-legal version of the Super Trofeo EVO racecar. At first glance, only the headlights, taillights, doors, mirrors, and possibly the air intake in front of the rear wheels seem to be retained from the base Huracán EVO.
• Unlike the regular Huracán EVO, the STO lacks a front hood and fenders. Instead, the entire front section hinges upward like the iconic Lamborghini Miura. This not only saves weight but also facilitates any maintenance during track days, a feature fondly called ‘Cofango.’
• Visibly, the STO sports a pronounced front spoiler lip and a large air intake, accented by a livery bar that bears a slight resemblance to the Huracán EVO. With widened fenders and two massive air vents in front of the windshield, the design is more aggressive. Being 20% lighter than the Performante and made of over 75% carbon fiber, the body employs a new aerospace-derived ‘sandwich’ technique to make the carbon fiber 25% lighter. The Huracán STO’s dry weight is just 1,339 kg, emphasizing weight-saving measures.

MPG & Fuel Economy

However, we can make an estimation based on the fuel economy figures of the related Huracán models. Interior & Exterior Design

For the exterior of the Huracán EVO Fluo Capsule, buyers have a range of exciting choices. The matt black roof, wing mirrors, side sill, and rear diffuser are elegantly offset with fluo color lines that complement the body’s special paint. Even the large intakes in the front bumper are presented in black to create a cohesive look.

Five striking shades are available:

The Lamborghini Huracán EVO Fluo Capsule is a special edition of the Huracán EVO, a mid-engine sports car produced by the Italian manufacturer Lamborghini. Price

The base price of the Lamborghini Huracan Evo Fluo Capsule is $498,665, which is approximately $39,000 more than the standard Huracan Evo, not including on-road costs. The specific example mentioned was equipped with numerous options that increased the price by a substantial $72,810. Some of these options include a transparent engine cover, carbon-ceramic brakes, a forged composites package, and sports seats, which many consider essential. However, spending $6,480 for Apple CarPlay might be viewed as excessive.

Not only does that glossy carbon fiber finish of these parts look amazing, it also reduces the weight of the Huracan and makes her look a lot more aggressive while still retaining the factory original parking sensors, rear view camera and even the badges, as for the factory bodypanels, the doors, the roof, the engine cover, and the rear sides are just about all that remains after fitting this kit.

The Fusion Motor Company carbon fiber body kit comes with these carbon fiber parts: a new front hood that reminds me of the Centenario hood, a new, deeper front bumper with lower lip, inserts and side winglets in a completely innovative design when it comes to the side air intakes, replacement front fenders with large vents above the wheels. This is a rather modest kit from Novitec, nothing like the massive N-Largo version with the wider wheel arches, or the Novara that featured the higher mounted exhaust long before Lamborghini released their Performante, but it’s safe to say this isn’t the first attempt at changing the looks of the Lamborghini Huracán by Novitec, it’s just a continuation of what they are used to do.

At the front Novitec offers a total of three parts to add to the new EVO style bumper, a central fin mounted horizontally, a pair of extra fins to fit vertically onto the air intakes, and a clear carbon fiber cover that slides over the new Y shaped inset of the EVO’s front bumper … naturally, all parts from Novitec are finished in clear carbon fiber, but can be painted of the customer prefers this.

The front luggage compartment cover can be replaced by a Novitec part the has built-in air ducts that actually mimic the ‘lines’ on the roof of the Huracán, over a pair of covers to put over the top part of the rear-view mirrors we come to the new side sills from Novitec, these actually don’t feature that horizontal fin like the factory original ones, carbon fiber intakes to be fitted behind the side windows complete the look.

For the engine cover, you have two options from Novitec in case of the coupe model, if you have the factory fitted glass panel engine cover you can add a pair of air intakes on the cover, but if you really want to impress you can replace the entire unit with the massive N-Largo engine cover that comes complete with an air intake, this latter cover does require an extra cover for the EVO … note that neither of these will fit on the EVO Spyder version.

To complete the aerodynamic parts from Novitec for the Huracán EVO we can replace the factory original diffuser (available in black, gloss black or body color) with the clear carbon fiber Novitec part, but probably the most impressive item for the rear is that stunning rear wing, I really love the ‘hanging’ style of the struts on this piece.

Wheels are a very personal thing to add to a car, just to offer a choice Novitec has two designs available, either the NL1 Forged one which is a multi-piece version of the double five-spoke design, and uses the original bolt-on method. But if you really want to go all the way you can opt for the NL4 Forged wheel made by Vossen with a central-locking bolt … just note that if you didn’t order the Huracán EVO with the optional Loge Forged wheel from the factory, you’ll have to get the Novitec Central Locking Kit to be able to fit the NL4 units.

All Novitec wheels come in 9×20 on the front axle and 12.5×21 on the rear axle, fitted with Pirelli P-Zero high-performance tires in 245/60ZR20 and 325/25ZR21 respectively, you can even add 11mm spacers behind each wheel to increase the original track by 22mm on each axle, and just in case you really want to scrape that expensive front bumper, a 35mm lowering setup is available from Novitec in the form of a Sport Spring set … note it’s a different kit for cars with the Magneto dampers and cars without the Magneto option from the factory.

And while the factory V10 in the Huracán already offers a very nice sound, you can always make it louder with the Novitec exhaust system, available in either stainless steel or the much lighter INCONEL, the latter comes with gold-high-temperature heat protection by the way, and in this case, you just have to add the carbon fiber exhaust tips from Novitec too to complete the CF look on the outside.

Back in January I already made a virtual render of how the EVO version of the RWD Spyder would look, it wasn’t that difficult as we all know how the conversion from coupe to spyder took place on the original Huracán LP610-1, the first RWD or LP580-2 and more recently the Huracán EVO and it seems I was right the EVO RWD Spyder looks exactly as I imagined five months ago.

Highlights of Lamborghini Huracán EVO RWD Spyder

The Huracán EVO RWD Spyder comes with the same modified front and rear section when compared to the all-wheel-drive Huracán EVO, and also a power decrease to 610 hp compared to 640 hp on the EVO. Also note the Huracán EVO RWD Spyder comes standard with ventilated, cross-drilled steel brakes behind 19-inch Kari wheels, carbon-ceramic disk brakes, and 20-inch wheels are optionally available.

The Huracán EVO RWD Spyder still uses a soft top when the competition has turned to panels, but a folding soft top does remind us of the real spyder models from the past, and when closed the experience is very close to the coupe anyway. In a mere 17 seconds, the roof can be lowered or raised, even when driving up to 50 km/h (31 Mph) the top is available in a range of different shades by the way.

Naturally, the large, 8.4 inch HMI touchscreen is still present on the central console inside the Huracán EVO RWD Spyder, the epicenter for the multimedia system today controlling telephone, internet access, Apple Car Play, a way to change settings and naturally a complete navigation system.

In case the long list of regular options available on the Huracán EVO RWD Spyder isn’t enough to satisfy the customer, the Ad Personam team will be more than happy to increase the base price of this car to unseen heights.

Lamborghini has since dropped the entire LP designation on both the Aventador and the Huracán, and today we have the Aventador S and SVJ, and the Huracán EVO (the Performante is no longer in production), and now they’ve added the Huracán EVO Rear-Wheel Drive or RWD, and while the EVO comes with 640 hp, this new EVO RWD has been detuned to 610 hp, just like on the previous model that came with 610 hp and 580 hp respectively.

Highlights of Lamborghini Huracán EVO RWD

The Lamborghini Huracán EVO RWD has been specifically created to offer more fun to drive for those that can handle dropping 610 hp to the rear wheels only on a wet or snowy road. The Lamborghini Performance Traction Control System (P-TCS) has been specifically modified for this version of the Huracán to deliver torque even when drifting to offer better traction coming out of a corner.

This P-TCS is naturally coupled to the ANIMA setting on the steering wheels, the driving modes are still STRADA, SPORT, and CORSA or should that be ‘safe’, ‘fun’, and ‘trouble’? Keep in mind the Huracán EVO RWD only weighs 1,389 kg, so she offers a power-to-weight ratio of 2.28 kg/hp and a weight distribution of 40/60 front to rear.

Back in 2015, the Huracán LP580-2 was introduced with the new Kari wheels in 19 inch, these have been made available on the EVO RWD too, but Lamborghini also introduced the 19-inch Vanir rims now, available in either silver or black if you want to go bigger you can opt for the 20 inch Aesir rims or the cross-spoke Narvi Forged wheels in 20 inch. These wheels cover steel disk brakes that are standard fitment, the carbon-ceramic brakes are available as an option, however.

Kato-San already had two kits available for the Lamborghini Huracan, the ‘Normal Fenders‘ kit and naturally the ‘Wide body LB Performance‘ kit … but it seems he was asked to take it one step further, so he took a long look at the official factory build Huracan Super Trofeo and designed this new LB-Silhouette WORKS Huracan GT version … which literally transforms the Huracan into a street legal race car.

So if you own a Lamborghini Huracan, and you have between US$40,000 and US$60,000 to spare you can get this new aero kit from Liberty Walk, the cheapest one is made from FRP while the most expensive kit is made from a combination of FRP, CFRP and Dry Carbon. Sounds confusing … perhaps a little overview will explain things:

The LB-Silhouette WORKS Huracan GT kit consists of a front bumper made from FRP, the lower front splitter (either FRP or CFRP), a rear bumper made from FRP, a massive rear diffuser either in FRP or CFRP. Naturally the wide fenders which are made from FRP all the time, the front hood with imitation air vents made from either FRP or CFRP … and then the ‘costly’ items come along, that monstrous rear wing is available in FRP, in CFRP or real dry carbon fiber, just like the new engine cover with the vertical fin, again availale in three different materials.

In case you want to install this amazing LB-Silhouette WORKS Huracan GT kit on a Huracan Coupé model you can opt for a version that offers complete replacements for the rear fenders at a premium of about $5,000 compared to the standard version … do note that this option does not exist for the Huracan Spyder at this moment, in fact the kit for the Huracan Spyder does not include an engine cover, but still costs between US$43,850 and US$59,830.

Do keep in mind the pricetag of about $60,000 is for the kit alone, you’ll have to add the price for fitting this one onto your Huracan, which might take a few hours before you’ll have to get it painted (or wrapped), so that could take a few thousand dollar extra … and then you still have to get a lowered suspension, preferably the $9,500 Airrex air ride kit.

But a wide body conversion like this new LB-Silhouette WORKS Huracan GT really needs a new set of rubber too, very wide and with the correct offset to make sure the wheels fill the wide fenders with the necessary rubber … which could set you back a lot of money too, so complete with fitting, painting and all the other ‘little’ necesities you might be looking at something like $100,000 on top of the value of the Lamborghini Huracan itself … but it does look amazing right?

For their first Huracan kit you have a few options, the PDLP610 aerodynamic kit actually consists of a very aggressive front bumper add-on, a set of side skirts and an equally aggressive looking rear bumper and diffuser, all made from Fibergall-Duraflex material showing an excellent surface ready for painting .. fitment should be perfect so no modifications are required when fitting these parts to your Lamborghini Huracan.

But the best part is further down, on the option list … how about the PDLP610WB ‘Widening wings’? An 8-piece option that makes your V10 a lot wider compared to the original car, exact measurements aren’t available at the time of writing, but these ‘extensions’ look massive nonetheless.

Another option is a rear wing offered by Prior Design, at the moment no photos are availbable yet, but if they took inspiration from their Gallardo kit I’m sure the new rear wing for the Huracan will be amazing.

Add a suspension kit from Prior Design onto your wide body Huracan and you might have to be a little careful going over speed bumps, but you will look great doing so.

The new aero kit consists of the traditional front hood replacement, here Novitec offers either a carbon fiber version or a fiberglass version, both completely replace the original front hood on the Huracan and add a pair of air vents running from the front to the rear, furthermore you can add a pair of vents to the side of the front bumper and a new fin for the center of the bumper … all in visible Carbon Forged.

For the side Novitec offers a pair of side sills in the same material to replace the satin black look on the Performante, add a pair of rearview mirror covers in visible Carbon Forged and you get the complete look from the side … but there is more magic happening at the rear, where you can get a set of rear wing attachments that make the original rear wing, an integral part of the ALA system, look even more menacing, and should increase downforce at the same time … two fins and a new centerpiece to be fitted onto the rear diffuser complete the Carbon Forged look at the back.

One more thing for the outside is a set of ‘fender attachments’ … which in fact look like a pair of air vents on top of the front wheels, fitted onto the fenders, much like the images we’ve been seeing for the new aero kit from Lamborghini Accessori themselves, but one of my personal favorite add-ons from Novitec is that pair of air intakes to be fitted on top of the engine cover, again in visible Carbon Forged, they look great in their high gloss finish.

Novitec has created a power-optimized steel exhaust system, complete with high-temperature heat protection, in an open, race style design with no flap regulation … the sound must be amazing from those two large exhaust tips in the rear diffuser.

As for wheels, Novitec offers the stunning NL3 wheel, a six spoke ‘Y’ shaped design that is available in 9×20 inch up front and 12.5×21 inch at the rear, with 245/30R20 and 325/25R21 tires respectively … and just in case you didn’t order the Loge center lock wheels from the factory, you can install the NL3 ZV-Look wheel, the same design but with a five bolt pattern … or you go for the real NL3 ZV center lock wheels and install the Novitec Central Locking kit that converts all Huracan with a 5 bolt pattern into a center lock setup.

In case you would like to see your Huracan Performante ride a little lower to the ground you can fit the Novitec Sports Spring set, available for cars with or without the Magneto option from Lamborghini … adding a set of spacers will move the five bolt wheels further outside of their wheel arches by 22mm.

So Novitec is one of the first to have a complete set ready for the Lamborghini Huracan Performante, and one that fits right into the Forged Composite elements we get on the Performante, that is a real attention to detail … I can’t wait for Novitec to show an N-Largo kit for the Huracan Performante …

At the moment the development of a dedicated aero kit for the Lamborghini Huracan Performante is almost finished, a public unveiling is imminent any moment now … but let’s take a look at the currently available Renato kit for the Huracan LP610-4 and Huracan RWD, in either Coupé or Spyder form.

The Renato kit consists of a clear carbon fiber front lip, listed at US $ 5,750, this lip is made from 2×2 vacuum infused pre-preg carbon fiber with a UV blocking clear coating, the design continues the original lines of both the LP610-4 and the RWD (a different version of the front lip is available for either model) while extending further forward by about 3 inches. Using an angle of the lower section, the airflow underneath the body is improved while downforce is increased and the front radiator gets more air directed onto them, with the use of vertical fins on the side cool air is directed into the wheel wells better for better disk brake cooling.

The side skirts are made either from FRP ($6,500), carbon fiber ($7,500) or laminated carbon fiber ($9,200) and follow the original lines of the Huracan once again, only to add a vent just in front of the rear wheels that pushes air onto the rear disk brakes for better cooling and to create a more aggressive style on the side profile of the Huracan.

The massive rear diffuser from 1016 Industries is currently only available for the Huracan LP610-4 model, at $7,350, this pre-preg carbon fiber unit once again looks impressive and effectively extends the profile of the Huracan for better airflow, end plates make sure the Bull remains stable, even at high speeds.

The rear wing made from carbon fiber is listed at $6,795 but comes with very nicely styled vertical struts and a carbon fiber base, the entire structure of this rear wing bolts directly to the frame of the Huracan for ultimate stability. But the best part are the possibilities for the struts … a customer has three options … the standard ones fix the rear wing in place with maximum downforce but a negative effect on top speed. You can also opt for the ‘short profile’ struts which are designed for top speed as the fin is set at a reduced pitch, but this setup still offers stability and downforce.

A more recent addition to the Renato kit from 1016 Industries is the carbon fiber hood … which replaces the standard from hood on the Huracan with a motorsport-derived design showing two air vents (simulated scoops in fact), once again available in either FRP ($6,500), carbon fiber ($7,500) and laminated carbon fiber ($9,200), this custom hood maintains the use of the front luggage space while being lighter than the original unit from Lamborghini.

Just in case you want to have the power to match the looks on your Renato Huracan, 1016 Industries offers a custom ECU and TCU tune that will increase the original power output from 610hp to 640 hp and 448lb-ft of torque … add the custom exhaust system and your Huracan is pushed to 670 hp.

The Huracan Performante held the record at the Nurburgring in March 2017 with a lap time of only 6:52.01, since then the Performante managed to get hold of no less than 8 record times on various circuits around the world, a feat that has been made possible by adding 30 hp to the original 610hp V10 and shedding some weight along the way.

But probably the most contributing factor to this record-breaking streak would be ALA, or Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva, an ingenious system that changes the airflow around this Bull dynamically to increase downforce and decrease drag when conditions require and by finish many of the exterior (and interior) parts in Forged Composite, the Performante looks as mean as she should be.

Highlights for Lamborghini Huracan Performante Spyder

Now customers can order the Spyder version of this top-of-the-line Huracan, with similar looks to the coupe, with that deep front bumper with massive air intakes, the lower side sills finished in either matt or glossy black, and naturally, the Tricolore stripes (that can optionally be removed) while at the rear the massive diffuser tries to steal the show from the magnificent rear wing, finished in Forged Composite.

Back in September 2017, when Lamborghini introduced the Aventador S Roadster, that V12 was finished in a special shade of blue today, with the unveiling of the Huracan Performante Spyder, we see another blue being used as the introduction color, a matt Blu Aegeus this time. Sitting on black Loge, center lock wheels over yellow brake calipers, this V10 looks classy and mean at the same time.

Naturally, the Spyder ‘conversion’ adds weight to the car compared to the Coupé model, in this case about 125kg (1,507kg compared to 1,382kg for the closed version); still, the performance figures are impressive, acceleration from 0 to 100km/h takes the Spyder 3.1 seconds (0.2 seconds slower than the Coupé), from 0 to 200km/h is done in 9.3 seconds (0.4 seconds slower than the Coupé) however, the top speed of 325Km/h is the same for both versions.

After more than 150 cars built since the original Huracan LP620-2 Super Trofeo was introduced three years ago, this new EVO version will compete in Europe, the US, and Asia in the 2018 Super Trofeo series but also in GT Cup races and Endurance series.

The obvious difference between the original Super Trofeo from 2014 and this 2018 EVO is the completely new aerodynamic design with that large air intake above the roof that pulls in the air onto the 620hp V10 with an electronically limited top speed of 280 Km/h the vertical fin on the engine cover similar to those used in LM racing, increases stability at high speed.

Also note there are no air intakes on the sides anymore, which made a total redesign of the rear section possible also note the small vertical fins above the rear wheels by the way, the massive rear wing is totally adjustable and received larger side fins.

All in all, the new aerodynamics have increased the performance of this new model during testing on the Monza race track this 2018 model beat the time of the original Super Trofeo by no less than 1.5 seconds (1’46″3 against 1’47″8).

The engine is still based on the actual road-going model, the 5.2 liter V10 unit with a power increase to 620hp, rear-wheel drive, and an X-Track six-speed sequential gearbox.

But the new Novitec Torado Huracan Spyder N-Largo isn’t a plain modification of the coupé kit to fit onto the Spyder, together with the original designer of the Huracan N-Largo, Vittorio Strosek, Novitec has made some modifications to this carbon fiber widebody kit.

Check the additional vents on the side of that wide front bumper, and a very nice, angular vent appeared in front of the rear wheel on this green Huracan Spyder that now measures 204 cm wide, those vents help to cool down the rear disc brakes under those 12 cm wider rear fenders.

If you take a closer look at the top of those wide front fenders (3 cm wider than standard) you will also note a trio of vents are cut on top of the wheel arches to evacuate heat from the disc brakes, while the massive black wheels look the same as those on the coupé version, lightweight NL2 forged wheels in 9×20 and 12,5×21 inch and wear 245/30 ZR 20 and 325/25 ZR 21 P Zero’s from Pirelli front and rear.

At the rear a large, clear carbon fiber rear wing is installed on this Verde Mantis demo Huracan Spyder from Novitec, while the very special front hood with the integrated vents can be ordered in clear carbon fiber too, so it matches the rear wing while lowering springs can bring the Huracan Spyder 35 mm closer to the track.

If you would like to have a more thundering sound in your Huracan Spyder N-Largo the Novitec Inconel exhaust system is available, with or without butterfly valves to create an even louder soundtrack … which might not be street legal in every country …

For the Coupé version Novitec had a Supercharger in the works that would raise power from the factory original 610hp to a massive 860hp (633kW) and only 25 Huracan N-Largo would be created … now the Huracan Spyder N-Largo is even more limited … only 11 units will be built worldwide while the supercharger is still under development.

Lamborghini Huracan LP 640-4 Performante Highlights

The Huracán Performante keeps the all-wheel-drive transmission from the LP610-4 but adds 30hp to the 5.2 Liter V10 engine while the special Pirelli tires and aero vectoring create a perfect track weapon while maintaining the road driving capabilities the Performante is the pinnacle of the V10 lineup at Lamborghini.

The hybrid chassis of the Huracán Performante receives a body made from aluminum combined with Lamborghini’s own Forged Composite material that allows the formation of more complex forms compared to regular carbon fiber; on the Performante, the front bumper, rear spoiler, engine cover, rear bumper, and lower diffuser are made from this new material.

Probably the most important innovation on the Huracán Performante is the new ALA, active aerodynamic system, developed and patented by Lamborghini this new system is hiding from view but allows the modification of airflow on this new V10. Flaps in the front spoiler are closed to create downforce at high-speed curves and under hard braking, but these open to allow air to flow through the undertray of the Performante.

Under the engine cover, a quartet of ducts is fitted, two that allow cooling of the large V10 engine while the other two work in conjunction with the large rear wing, which actually sits on hollow struts to allow airflow into the wing itself, with the flaps in the rear wing closed it acts like a normal, high downforce aerofoil but when open the drag is significantly reduced to allow a higher top speed.

The show car in Geneva is finished in a new shade called Arancio Anthaeus, a matt orange that contrasts nicely with the glossy Forged Composite sections and the combination of gloss and matt carbon fiber, a shade that perfectly shows the aggressive new styling found on the Huracán Performante a styling inspired by naked racing bikes, showing their frame and featuring large air intakes with no grilles.

At the front, the active aerodynamic section is shown in clear Forged Composite while the front spoiler is a very open design, clearly showing race track inspiration and maintaining a lightweight feeling.

The new engine cover has integrated air intakes together with a Plexiglas cover (to keep weight down compared to glass); this allows a clear view of the bronze-finished manifold covers of the high-power V10 engine, a finish we’ve seen on previous special edition Lamborghini before like the Diablo SE30 while the large rear wing with integrated air ducts could never be made from regular carbon fiber but required Forged Composite technology.

On the side, we notice the lower sills are finished in black while the Performante proudly shows the Italian tricolore colors and glossy black rear view mirrors as standard fitment the Huracán Performante receives a set of Narvi 20-inch forged wheels, finished in bronze; optional Loge wheels offer a center lock while Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires have been created specifically for the new Performante as an option you can mount Pirelli Trofeo R track tires note that these do come with a homologation for street use.

By raising the exhaust pipes higher onto the rear section of the Huracán, they not only look amazing, they also deliver a more intimidating sound together with less back pressure while the entire exhaust package has become lighter, too, compared to the LP610-4.

Inside the Huracán Performante, the use of Forged Composite continues on the air vents, paddles, door handles, and central console combined with lightweight Alcantara fabric. The sports seats can receive an optional Y pattern lasered onto them, but you can also opt for comfort seats if you prefer a smoother ride, a nice display on the dashboard shows the ALA in real-time.

Engine & Fuel Economy

The Lamborghini Huracan LP 640-4 Performante is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine that generates 640 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels through Lamborghini’s all-wheel-drive system.

With this powerful engine, the Huracan LP 640-4 Performante can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of over 202 mph. The car also features an active aerodynamics system called Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva (ALA), which improves high-speed stability and cornering performance.

As for fuel economy, the Huracan LP 640-4 Performante is not known for its efficiency, with an EPA-estimated fuel economy rating of 13 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highway. However, this is typical for high-performance supercars and is not a major concern for most buyers.

Interior & Exterior Design

The Lamborghini Huracan LP 640-4 Performante features a sleek and aerodynamic design with a sharp and aggressive front end, complete with a signature Lamborghini Y-shaped LED headlights. The body features extensive use of lightweight carbon fiber to reduce weight, and the car sits on 20-inch forged wheels with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires.

The interior of the Huracan LP 640-4 Performante is just as impressive, with a driver-focused cabin and a luxurious feel. The cockpit is designed to maximize visibility and features premium leather and Alcantara materials with carbon fiber accents throughout. The car also has a high-tech infotainment system with a large touchscreen display, navigation, and Bluetooth connectivity.

The Huracan LP 640-4 Performante also has several available options and customizations, allowing buyers to personalize their cars with a wide range of colors, materials, and finishes. Some of the available options include a sport exhaust system, a lifting system for the front axle, and various interior and exterior color schemes.

Price

The price is set at €195,040 in Europe, £173,271 in the UK, and $274,390 in the US, excluding tax. The first deliveries to customers were scheduled for the summer of 2017.

As of today, used Lamborghini Huracan LP 640-4 Performante cars are available for purchase, with prices ranging from around $239,950 to $308,859 depending on the year and model.

The Hydra is a multi-headed serpent-like animal renowned for its destructive force and ferocious nature … which suits the Huracan perfectly. Note that is is the Hydra Type 1 aero kit, Morph Auto Design has some more versions in mind, which can be seen on some of the renders with this article.

The entire Hydra Type 1 kit comes with to front lips, side skirts, a rear wing base and a double rear wing, listed at $17,540 at the time of writing. All parts are made from 2×2 pre-preg dry carbon fiber and come with UV protection clear coating … available in either matte or glossy finish.

The two front lips can be mounted on the original front bumper of the Lamborghini Huracan, they fit underneath the large air intakes on either side and swing around to the sides where they offer a vertical fin, much like the design seen on the Aventador LP720-4 50th Anniversary front bumper. If bought separately they list at $4,885.

The magnificent looking clear carbon fiber side skirts also have vertical fins for an improved air flow around the Huracan, listed at $4,985 they totally change the look of the V10 when seen from the side.

Probably the most impressive item on the Hydra Type 1 aero kit is the impressive rear wing with a double aerofoil design for even more downforce, the sides feature vertical fins for stability at speed, listed at $ 6,185 you can opt for an extra carbon fiber base at $1,485 that completed the carbon look between the taillights and underneath the rear wing.

Not included in the complete Hydra Type 1 aero kit but a very nice item to install on your Lamborghini Huracan nonetheless are a complete set of exterior rearview mirrors finished in clear carbon fiber, at $3,000.

Judging by the render at the top of this page Morph Auto Design has another great looking aero kit in mind, complete with a special design for the rear fenders … I’m sure that would look amazing in real life too …

Available at the worldwide dealer locations from January 2017 on, this new addition to the Huracan lineup brings the thrill of rear-wheel drive to the Lamborghini heritage while offering open-top cruising at the same time perfect combination.

By removing the drive to the front wheels a weight saving of 33 kg has been achieved compared with the Huracan LP610-4 Spyder, the RWD variant weighs only 1,509 kg, with 580 hp available top speed is no less than 319 km/h with acceleration figures of 3.6 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h only 0.2 seconds slower than her 610 hp counterpart.

Just like the Huracan LP580-2 or RWD Coupé, this new Spyder received the modified front and rear sections, the front bumper shows more angular intakes with a horizontal fin in the middle while the section below the taillights at the rear boasts a different design compared to the 610-4 model.

Standard fit on the 2017 Huracan RWD Spyder is the 19-inch Kari wheels with steel disc brakes and aluminum calipers as seen on the Coupé version, but both Giano and Mimas are available as an option on this model, as are carbon ceramic disk brakes with color-coded calipers.

On the inside, the new Huracan LP580-2 Spyder can be configured just like the 610-4 version, with upholstery in leather, Alcantara, or a combination, contrasting stitching, Q-Citura stitching, carbon fiber parts, or the more special Forged Composite finish on parts of the dashboard, central console, and door panels the sky is the limit when it comes to customization at Lamborghini and when the normal options list isn’t extensive enough you can always turn to the Ad Personam program to really make a difference.

A lot of controversies came up when Lamborghini unveiled the Huracan LP610-4 Spyder at the Geneva Auto Show with a soft top, people were expecting a foldable hardtop as seen on some of the competition but Lamborghini kept the lightweight canvas roof and adopted a slightly different profile to separate the Coupé styling from the Spyder, creating two different models in the same range the new LP580-2 Spyder keeps this philosophy alive today.

Even when going down the road at speeds up to 50 km/h you can hit the switch and open the roof in a mere 17 seconds to be folded behind the seats underneath a special cover with integrated ducts to avoid buffeting in the cockpit while the special design of the engine cover allows better airflow through the engine bay.

The 2017 Lamborghini Huracán LP 580-2 Spyder is a nice alternative for those that want to have fun behind the wheel of a Lamborghini with the top down while enjoying the added thrill of the rear-wheel drive only perhaps only for the more experienced drivers.

And DMC wasn’t even finished with their Aventador tuning Stage 3 became the ultimate package, the DMC Aventador LP988-4 Edizione GT or E-GT that offered FIA-inspired race styling for road use, almost 1,000hp inside a completely redesigned Lamborghini Aventador body.

But DMC not only offers styling modifications for the Sant’Agata V12 flagship model, but the successful V10 Huracan has also received the DMC touch early on too with the Affari package, which could be called the Stage 1 kit now DMC has taken the V10 Huracan to the extreme with the brand new LP1088 E-GT Spyder.

The looks of the beautiful Lamborghini Huracan Spyder are totally transformed by the DMC Edizione GT aerodynamic kit, upfront a new bumper completely replaces the original unit (the car can be converted back to factory looks without any damage) and adds an aggressive style finished in clear carbon fiber with side vents, larger intakes, and a vertical fin for added stability at speed.

Along the side, a set of skirts not only makes the Huracan Spyder look even lower to the ground but also adds vertical fins to offer better airflow at speed while the entire rear section of the original car is replaced with a carbon fiber DMC unit, again with added aerodynamic sections for better road-holding capabilities.

The rear of the DMC Huracan E-GT also shows one of the most beautiful wings ever seen, inspired by the legendary, and often copied Countach wing, this massive DMC unit sits on top of amazingly detailed struts and can be adjusted in three positions GT mode, FUN mode and Cruise mode.

The DMC LP1088 E-GT name is derived from the fact DMC can install a pair of turbochargers on the engine, which has to be severely modified together with the transmission and gearbox so the total power output can be raised from the factory’s original 610hp to a massive 1,088hp with a torque output of 1,000 Nm.

Acceleration from 0 to 100 Km/h is now completed in only 2.69 seconds while the top speed of the DMC Huracan LP1088 E-GT Spyder is 345 Km/h.

Novitec Torado comes with their Huracán RWD tuning, a complete set of aerodynamic parts, engine tuning and even interior modifications … if you really need more power Novitec had developed twin-supercharger that will raise power output to the rear wheels up to 830 hp (611 kW).

Up front the two corners of the original bumper can be covered with a lip while a center fin is available in either clear carbon fiber or ready to paint, there is also a replacement for the front hood with integrated air ducts resulting in negative lift while the side sills in clear carbon fiber make the Huracán look even lower.

At the rear the Huracán LP580-2 has a different bumper, so Novitec Torado offers a custom made one to fit their carbon fiber rear diffuser, which can be ordered for cars with the rear view camera or without, if you have a Huracán with rear view camera Novitec offers a carbon fiber cover for it too by the way, talk about attention to detail.

In terms or a rear wing you have several options from Novitec Torado for your new Huracán LP580-2 … you can opt for the ‘Rear Spoiler Lip’, a low, three-part fin that fits on the outer edge at the back for a low profile look. But there are three other possibilities … either the normal Rear Wing, or the Double Rear Wing … and the extreme looking N-Largo Rear Wing … all in visible carbon fiber naturally.

If you really have the carbon fiber virus you can go to extremes and get the Novitec engine cover with integrated air intake as seen on the N-Largo, or if you have the spent money on the optional glass engine cover from Lamborghini you can add a pair of intakes from Novitec on that unit too … and get a carbon fiber cover for the section behind the engine cover at the rear.

Carbon fiber covers for the rear view mirrors and those air intakes behind the side windows are just two more options to select on the order form from Novitec, they even offer a cover to go into the engine compartment itself.

With that new rear diffuser from Novitec Torado you really should order one of their exhaust systems too, made from lightweight Inconel these exhausts get wrapped in high-temp protection and are available with or without flap control … if you really want to be different Novitec Torado has a power optimized race exhaust available too … but somehow I doubt that one is street legal.

As for wheels, these are the usual Novitec NL 1 Forged three-piece units again, staggered fitting of 9×20 inch up front and 1.5×21 inch at the back, Pirelli P-Zero in 255/30 R20 and 325/25 ZR21 respectively while a lowering spring kit brings the Huracan 35mm lower to the track, a set of spacers to move the wheels 11mm outward is also available from Novitec (22mm per axle in total).

As usual the interior of the Lamborghini Huracán LP580-2 can receive a multitude of carbon fiber parts, custom made upholstery in either Alcantara or leather to match any shade the owner prefers … but Novitec also offers a ‘Competition Cockpit’, complete with racing style bucket seats, multi-point seatbelts and a full rollover cage.

At the moment there are a few companies out there that have a wide-body conversion for the Lamborghini Huracan in their catalog like the Huracán Torofeo from Mansory, or the Novitec Torado N-Largo and let’s not forget Kato-San from LB Performance with the typical bolt-on fenders and ultra low air-ride suspension … and now Duke Dynamics wants to be part of that select group.

If the render shown is anything to go by this wide-body might even look even more impressive than anything the competition has available … there is little information available but it seems Duke Dynamics only plans to make 10 of these kits in clear carbon fiber.

A very aggressively styled front bumper, big side sills and wide rear fenders with large air intakes integrated into them, also note the vents in the front hood and what seems to be a rear wing inspired by the Lamborghini Veneno while the rear could show a lower diffuser with open sections behind the wheels, much like the one seen on the Lamborghini Centenario.

We’ll have to wait and see if this massive kit makes it into production, and how much this would cost, but it does look amazing nonetheless.

Still the RSC Tuning aero kit managed to be different from the competition thanks to taking things serious straight from day one … RSC Tuning bought a white Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 so they could develop their kit 24/7 and actually see it in real life from different angles and in changing light … the perfect way to create a work of art.

A first choice had to be made … start hand-molding the kit on the car or invest time and money in a 3D development … RSC Tuning went for the latter and scanned their Huracán with a laser to create CAD data that would allow the development of the aero kit on a computer, which would allow parts to be 3D printed to check fitment and attachment before using expensive carbon fiber to actually build the kit.

The design idea behind the carbon fiber aero kit for the Lamborghini Huracán was simple and difficult at the same time, Bill Waldock Jr., President of RSC Tuning wanted to bring a totally unique and exclusive design for the Huracán that would enhance the work of the Lamborghini design team … creating a car with clean surfaces, modern lines and sharp edges … while still making the Bull stand out from the rest.

The result was an almost Zen-like design inspired by minimalist and modern design principles for the exterior carbon fiber parts, note that RSC Tuning uses pre-impregnated carbon fiber in a cutting-edge autoclave, the entire kit is UV resistant and is made similar to Formula One material.

The RSC Tuning Aero kit comes with two front splitters that are height adjustable to keep in mind the ground clearance of the already low riding Lamborghini Huracán, when mounted flush onto the front bumper they reduce the clearance by only .5″ … also keep in mind the front lift system on this Lamborghini that allows you to raise the front when driving onto an incline, the double bonded construction of these splitters also allows more protection against scraping without flaking the clear coat.

A carbon fiber center fin is also available to complete the front look, but the best looking part are those ‘eyelids’ … carbon fiber fins that are fitted inside the large front air intakes on the bumper, they really change the look of the Lamborghini Huracán for the better. A set of side sills with an upright just ahead of the rear wheels connect the front to the rear while a ‘slip on’ lower rear diffuser makes the back of the V10 Bull look a little more aggressive … however, that unique ducktail wing is what really sets the RSC Tuning kit apart.

Just in case you are not satisfied with the factory original 610hp in the Huracán you can install the RSC Tuning performance software together with the RSC Tuning race exhaust … power output goes up to 680hp … hence the LP680 designation for the RSC Tuning Huracán.

The impressive HRE wheels have been fitted to this car by Wheels Boutique in Miami, these are the HRE P2 series P201 units in 9×20 inch up front and 12.5×21 inch at the rear, Pirelli tires in 245/30ZR20 and 325/25ZR21 were mounted.

VOS Performance created the ‘Final Edition’ package for the Lamborghini Huracán consisting of a €1,490 front lip in clear carbon fiber that fits the standard front bumper of the V10 Bull, a new rear diffuser that comes in at €6,990 and an option of two different rear wings, the fixed ‘Pur Vida’ zero neutral fixed rear wing will set you back €7,490 while the adjustable ‘Torneo’ rear wing is listed at €9,900. The finishing touch comes in the form of a €1,190 set of caps to be fitted to the rear view mirrors and a €490 fuel filler cap … all in clear carbon fiber finish.

The list of carbon fiber parts continues for the interior, starting with the door sill inlays at €690, a frame to be fitted on the top area of the central console (€595) and two side panels for the same console (€1,290). The hexagon air vents on top of the dashboard of the Huracán can also be covered in a carbon fiber finish for €1,690 while the door handles are listed at €1,190 and those shift paddles behind the steering wheel switch to a carbon fiber finish for €2,190.

For €1,190 the covers on the switches found on the factory original steering wheel can receive the same carbon fiber finish, but for €1,690 you’ll get a completely custom made steering wheel in leather or Alcantara combined with carbon fiber … one final option from VOS Performance is the €990 panel on top of the dashboard pod.

Looks are one thing, but with an impressive aerodynamic kit on the Lamborghini Huracan Final Edition you will also need a custom exhaust system … the VOS Performance exhaust is listed at €6,900, adding 12hp to the V10 engine and 10 kg less weight … but an even more impressive sounding, Titan exhaust system from Akrapovic is available at €9,520 … the latter one adds about 20hp to the power output while weighing in at 20.5 kg less than the factory unit.

At the moment the white demo Lamborghini Huracán ‘Final Edition’ is listed for sale on their website at €196,218 before taxes … or you can contact them to order your selection of parts for the Huracán you already own.

It took Novitec a while to get hold of a Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 Spyder, but they managed to obtain a Verde Mantis in their workshop and turned it into a full Torado Spyder specs car, the supercharger that will boost power output of the V10 up to 860 hp from the standard 610 is still under development, but I’m sure the factory power output will do for now.

Note that this entire aerodynamic package is available for both the Huracan LP610-4 Coupé and Spyder and can optionally be delivered in clear carbon fiber which gives the Huracán Spyder a very exclusive look and feel.

Up front there is a new front spoiler lip that wraps around the corner, it can be competed with a center blade and side fins that are fixed onto the original bumper, but three is also another, small fin that can be fixed on the upper lip in the center intake. As usual Novitec can replace the front hood with a new one incorporating air ducts that effectively reduce lift at the front.

A pair of special Novitec Torado side sills connect the front and rear wheels and reduce air turbulence on the sides, together with carbon fiber rear view mirror covers these sills totally change the side view of the already sensual looking Huracán Spyder … visually lowering the car already.

At the back a new lower rear diffuser and rear spoiler lip create a better aerodynamic air flow and look striking along the way … note that all Novitec Torado parts are meticulously developed and tested in a wind tunnel to make sure they add stability to the car, that is why Novitec Torado also has larger rear wings available for the Spyder … just in case the customer prefers a more aggressive look at the back.

You can opt for the larger rear wing, the double rear wing and even the N-Largo rear wing … could there be an N-Largo Spyder in the making?

To complete the exterior carbon fiber look you can opt for the Novitec Torado taillight molding, this fin sits underneath and between the original taillights, but with a clear carbon fiber finish it makes a spectacular difference … if you open the engine cover and find a lack of carbon fiber there, fear not as Novitec Torado has a cover for the V10 engine available.

P-Zero tires from Pirelli are mounted on tailor made Novitec NL1, three-piece wheels … 9×20 inch up front and 12.5×21 inch at the rear with 245/30ZR20 and 325/25ZR21 respectively while a 35mm lowering spring kit from Novitec lowers the center of gravity … in the near future an adjustable coilover suspension will be available.

If the factory original sound of that amazing V10 isn’t good enough the Novitec Torado customer can opt for a special sport exhaust system, either in stainless steel or in lightweight Inconel … there is even an exhaust system with butterfly valves that can be opened remotely … silent mode … or race mode.

We’ve already mentioned it, Novitec Torado is working on a bolt on supercharger kit that will result in a power output of 860 hp with a maximum torque of 960 Nm … up from 610 hp and 560 Nm respectively … that’s a serious upgrade.

To this rather impressive list of exisiting tuners we can now add one more … Accessori Originali Automobili Lamborghini … that’s right, Lamborghini has entered the tuning arena themselves now with an officially type-approved aerodynamic kit for the V10 Huracán … and it is a complete kit nonetheless.

This official Huracán Aerodynamic Kit consists of a special front spoiler fin that wraps around the entire front bumper, upright fins grab into the original air intakes while on the side a pair of vertical blades guide air for improved efficiency. A set of sills fit underneath the side of the original V10, again a vertical blade is fitted ahaed of the rear wheels for improved cooling.

At the rear we encounter a special lower diffuser that once again creates a better airflow in that area, this diffuser actually increases down force due to design. Unlike the flagship Aventador, the Huracán doesn’t feature a moveable rear wing … but a fixed unit has now been added with this aero kit, sitting on clear metal uprights this rear wing also features a pair of uprights at both extremities … this way the rear wing perfectly integrates with both the side sills and the front fin.

All parts are made from lightweight, but strong composite materials and are delivered in black … if they are also available in either Forged Composite or clear carbon fiber isn’t specified at the moment, but the kit has been wind tunnel tested for effeciency and safety.

Lamborghini Dallas lists this kit as an Accessori Originali Automobili Lamborghini with the following information : “A design that fully reflects the values of Automobili Lamborghini, Huracán breaks with the past and becomes visionary and pure. But Lamborghini considers the Design of its vehicles to be a starting point and not the final outcome.

The new Aerodynamic body kit combines all the technological innovation and know-how acquired in the decades-long development of limited editions. It treats your Huracán to an aggressive splitter, side skirts and rear diffuser. An original rear wing completes the kit.

Carefully designed down to the tiniest detail, these components will provide an assertive, exclusive look. A real show-stopper. Accurate aerodynamic analysis guarantees high performance in all conditions without neglecting safety and the driveability that’s a key strength of the Huracán range.”

The Huracán Aerodynamic kit consisting of front fin, side sills, lower rear diffuser and rear wing is rumored to be listed at €20,000 (about $23,000) without fitment, available at your local, official Lamborghini dealership.

But this recent post from DMC shows that it doesn’t always require an entire kit to make a car stand out of the crowd, just adding a nice set of wheels and the stunning DMC rear wing can make all the difference on a car like the Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4.

This specific V10 not only has the SV-inspired rear wing installed, but also the base wing that allows you to return the car back to original specifications if you ever decide to remove the rear wing, and in addition to that the new DMC base wing is also a lot stronger compared to the original part, so the risk of damage at high speed is nonexistent with the DMC Base wing.

In fact, we already published information on a special version of the Huracán being the Avio after we heard a customer ordering such a car in the UK and saw a cockade with the word Avio being trademarked by Automobili Lamborghini SpA we learned it would be a very limited edition but nothing about style or finish was available until March 1. 2016 when Stephan Winkelmann unveiled the car in Geneva, Switzerland.

Turned out our idea of a Huracán Avio being related to aviation of some kind was right, this limited edition takes inspiration from fighter jets, hence the tricolor cockade and L63 script on the side of the car and on the seats L for Lamborghini and 63 for 1963, the year Automobili Lamborghini SpA was founded by the late Ferruccio Lamborghini, whose 100th birthday was celebrated with the Centenario that was shown at the same time in Geneva.

As standard fitment the Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 Avio can be ordered in five special shades, Blu Grifo (matte blue), Grigio Falco (glossy dark grey), Grigio Nibbio (matte light grey), Grigio Vulcano (matte grey) and the very special Verde Turbine (matte green) all of these shades can be ordered with either a white livery, a grey livery or a really nice orange livery all shades are inspired by courses found in the Italian air force academy.

Just in case you’re not a fan of these 5 standard shades you can always opt for the Ad Personam program and select just about any shade possible to match the special Avio interior that comes in a combination of black leather and Alcantara with contrasting stitching white on the Blu Grifo car shown in Geneva that featured the matching white livery.

Note that the center section of the seats, the central console, the knee protection pads, and part of the door panel show a stunning hexagon pattern that has been engraved into the material by laser a first at Lamborghini, while the L63 and tricolor cockade are embroidered by hand on the side bolster of the seats and a special plate shows the limited edition 1 of 250 nature under the small window behind the driver.

The Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 Avio will come standard with a host of items that are optional on the regular Huracán, like the front lifting system, cruise control, and in some markets, even the GPS navigation system, making the special paint options and bespoke interior treatment almost free of charge when compared to the regular production LP610-4.

The first Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 Avio should be arriving in the showroom in a few months already can’t wait to see that matte green in real life.

Lamborghini Huracán Avio was a limited edition model released in 2016, with only 250 units produced. Its price at the time of release was around $245,000 to $260,000. Since it is a limited edition, its current value may vary depending on factors like mileage, condition, and rarity.

The aerodynamic kit looked like it was heavily inspired by the Lamborghini Avenador LP720-4 model, the special 50th Anniversary limited edition model of which only 100 were built of each model, being the Coupé and the Roadster … still it suited the Huracán very nicely, which did come complete with a black and red custom interior showcasing the Mansory workmanship in the highly detailed stitching pattern.

So we all considered this to be the show-stopper at the upcoming Geneva Auto Show on the Mansory stand … however, only hours before the doors opened for the 2015 Geneva Auto Show Mansory unveiled an even more impressive Huracán … calling it the Torofeo, for being a Toro and taking inspiration from the Super Trofeo series (the 2015 season would see the new Huracán Super Trofeo race car on the track) … but the Mansory Huracán Torofeo might be able to outrun her race derived sibling.

Think about it … 1,000 hp at 8,250rpm from the use of two custom made Mansory turbochargers and a torque output of 1,000Nm too (electronically limited to make sure everything keeps working in the future) … acceleration figures to match with a 0 to 100 Km/h time of only 2.7 seconds and a top speed of no less than 340 Km/h … those are some really impressive figures for a V10 engine.

While Mansory calls their initial package for the Huracán the ‘Soft kit’, the Torofeo is a ‘Widebody conversion programme’ from this German based manufacturer, and the difference between the two programs is rather obvious …

In the traditional Mansory style the Torofeo bodykit is made from carbon fiber in their own autoclave, from the impressively low front bumper over the 30mm wider front fenders with integrated air vents to the nice side sills and modified rear fenders (40mm wider) with air intakes in front of the rear wheels, the massive lower rear diffuser is the final part of the standard widebody kit.

And that’s only the beginning, there is a massive option list available from Mansory for the Huracán Torofeo … in fact a total of three different rear wing designs are possible, the blue metallic car in Geneva showed the ‘High performance wing’, a 3 part unit finished in clear carbon fiber (note they come without a top coat from Mansory so you can choose a glossy or a matte finish) … but you can also get the ‘Extreme performance wing’ or a ‘Performance wing’ … the latter being a single carbon fiber part with integrated ‘feet’.

Another option is a replacement front hood for the Huracán, once again delivered in primed carbon fiber without a clear coat, the Mansory ‘Front Bonnet’ shows a special Y-shaped design to set the Huracán apart from the factory model, clearly inspired by the Sesto Elemento limited edition lightweight model from Sant’Agata.

Once you have the carbon fiber bug you can’t resist … so Mansory also offers a cover to be fitted on top of the original roof to show a clear carbon fiber finish, add the cover and foot on the exterior rear view mirror, the carbon fiber air intake behind the side window and the look is almost complete … or you also fit carbon fiber windshield wiper arms … and some more parts of this lightweight material under the front hood and around the engine.

Talking about that 1,000 hp turbo charged V10 … she really deserves to have the standard engine cover replaced with the beautiful Mansory unit, once again in clear carbon fiber, this new engine cover adds two intakes that peak above the roof and draw air into the engine bay, this part come standard with three glass panels, but Mansory offers three carbon fiber replacement fins as a lighter option.

Now you’ll end up with a very aggressive looking car that has power to match … so you have to get a set of those massive Mansory, forged alloy wheels in 9x20inch up front and 12.5×21 inch at the rear, Mansory recommends wrapping Michelin tires around them, in 255/30ZR20 and 325/25ZR21 respectively, installing Mansory Sport springs will lower the Huracán between 25mm and 30mm while the special Sport exhaust system will make the Torofeo sound as good as she looks.

And that’s only on the outside, we all know just what Mansory can do on the interior of these super cars, and the Huracán Torofeo is no different … a completely individual interior is the top of the line at Mansory by using exclusive leather, tailored specifically for the customer.

But there are other, less expensive options too in the Mansory catalog … like a new steering wheel combining leather and carbon, but also available in leather/leather or leather/alcantara, and if you change the original steering wheel why not opt for carbon fiber shift paddles to match the special carbon fiber dashboard trim, dashboard pod cover, central console frame and door handles … even the hexagon air vents on top of the dashboard receive a carbon fiber finish at Mansory.

Final options for the interior are custom floor mats, special pedals and a foot rest in Mansory design and naturally a custom cover for the door sill, just so you notice you are getting into a Mansory tuned car … in fact they also offer a mat for the front luggage compartment, complete with Mansory logo … how’s that for attention to detail.

Once again Mansory created a very special car, based on the Lamborghini Huracán this time, but a masterpiece in her own … and as time would tell, they weren’t even finished with the Huracán … there was still more to come …

One of the better-known tuners on the market today had been doing its homework even before the first Huracán was delivered to a customer, the first renders of the DMC Huracan Affari showed a large roof-mounted air intake, a very aggressive rear diffuser, and a custom front bumper in June 2014 only a month later, in July 2014, DMC released more detailed renders that showed a very impressive looking Huracán Affari aerodynamic package and mentioned a power increase to 630 hp by calling the car the DMC Huracán LP630-4 Affari edition.

By November 2014 DMC managed to have their first Huracán completely fitted with the Affari aerodynamic kit, probably the very first Huracán in the world that received any kind of tuning finished in the popular Verde Mantis pearl metallic green shade this first DMC Affari looked amazing.

Up front, DMC will add a set of carbon fiber fins underneath the original Huracán bumper that nicely follow the original design of the front air intakes while a vertical fin is present on the side for added stability. DMC also mounts air vents on the side of this bumper that reminds us of the Gallardo Superleggera, but on this Huracán these vents also receive a horizontal carbon fiber fin for that race-style look.

The DMC Huracán Affari side sills show a vertical fin ahead of the doors, while ahead of the rear wheels a larger section rises up to control airflow along the sides of the Lamborghini Huracán over the custom wheels onto the lower rear diffuser, also finished in clear carbon fiber.

The rear diffuser comes with a set of vertical fins that work on keeping the Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 stable at high speeds while DMC prefers to have the factory original rear bumper to be repainted in the shade of the body there is also an optional rear bumper in the DMC catalog, complete with embossed DMC script and a pair of indents that look ready to be converted into a large air outlet.

Probably one of the most eye-catching features on the DMC Huracán Affari is without a doubt the impressive rear wing, loosely inspired by the DMC Aventador Molto Veloce rear wing the vertical struts show a very lightweight design and actually come with a new base spoiler for the Huracan.

By using a base spoiler that completely replaces the deck lid part on the original Huracán DMC is capable of fixing its large rear wing securely on the car and avoiding having the downforce rip the new wing apart at high speed this way you don’t have any holes to be drilled into the original bodywork of the Lamborghini.

Do note that the large rear wing can be adjusted in three different positions for an even more aggressive style and increased downforce DMC parts also have full German TÜV certification, another testament to the quality of these lightweight carbon fiber parts.

Some options are available for the DMC Affari kit, one of them being special fins that fix on top of the standard, louvered engine cover of the Huracán this Engine bonnet diffuser adds a very aggressive style to this cover while a pair of carbon fiber rear view mirrors are just the finishing touch the DMC Huracán Affari needs.

If you really want to have your Lamborghini Huracán stand out you can install the DMC carbon fiber Air Scoop set, a pair of intakes that screw onto the optional glass engine cover in place of the original vents, these DMC scoops even use the same holes to be fixed so you don’t have to alter anything. A protective grille avoids debris from entering the engine room while water is drained through the rear of these new scoops.

Novitec has been working on their N-Largo model of the Huracan that would use a supercharger to raise power to 860hp, but O.CT Tuning in Switzerland and have your Huracan converted into their brand new, Supercharged O.CT800 model.

By installing an Eaton TVS2300 supercharger on top of the Lamborghini V10 engine the power output is raised from the factory standard 610hp to an impressive 805PS (about 794hp), but O.CT didn’t just bolt on this Eaton Twin Vortices Series Roots-type supercharger on the Raging Bull engine.

O.CT Tuning also installed a special, aluminum intake manifold, internal overflow valves, an optimized throttle body, a cooling system combining air and water with Polypropylene water tanks, electric Bosch water pumps, CNC machined brackets in aluminum, a 7 rib belt with automatic tensioner and two K&N filters … all connections and pipes are made in-house by O.CT Tuning.

Naturally the ECU had to be reprogrammed to cope with the new supercharger, the result is a power output of nearly 800hp with a torque of 810 Nm (up from 610hp and 560 Nm originally), acceleration figures of 0 to 100 km/h in only 2.5 seconds (3.2 originally) while 200 km/h is reached within 8.3 seconds (9.90 originally) from standstill are equally impressive … the top speed limiter is still active so the 325 km/h figure is maintained from the factory settings.

Just for good measure O.CT Tuning also replaces the original exhaust system on the Lamborghini Huracan with their own, titanium made system … a full 20 kg lighter compared to the original factory unit, this O.CT Titanium exhaust system is perfectly tailored to the Eaton supercharger outlet … the sound is close to an real hurricane…

Other than some big decals on this white Supercharged O.CT800 Huracan there are no modifications made to the exterior apart from a custom set of forged aluminum wheels, 9×20 inch up front and wide 12.5×21 inch at the rear for that staggered look.

If you are looking for more power without making the Huracan look obvious I guess this ‘sleeper’ look will be just what you need … the Supercharged O.CT800 Lamborghini Huracan.

And it isn’t only looks on this Huracán N-Largo, Novitec is working on a supercharger for the factory original V10 that will boost power from 610hp up to 860hp (633 kW) … in the end only 25 of these N-Largo will be built, either as a complete car or based on a Huracán you already own.

At first glance you do notice this isn’t a factory spec Huracán in front of you, but it takes a second look to discover just what is different about this car … and there is a lot of difference in fact. Thanks to Vittorio Strosek working together with Novitec Torado this new N-Largo became a beautiful, yet aggressive carbon fiber aerodynamic kit for the successful V10 from Sant’Agata.

Taking a closer look at the photographs published by Novitec Torado it looks like they replaced the entire front bumper with a more aggressively styled version that fits seamlessly with the wider front fenders that show a close resemblance to the ones seen on the Diablo GT with air vents in front of the doors, an increase of 6cm at the front compared to the original car has been achieved.

Up front there is the option of getting a clear carbon fiber center fin from Novitec Torado, which isn’t there for her good looks alone … this fin actively increases down force for better stability at speed.

At first glance you might think the side sills are still the original factory units, but take a closer look … these N-Largo parts are indeed wider than normal to connect the wider front and rear fenders together … same story at the rear … you might not see it at once, but the rear fenders are indeed 12cm wider than standard, even the section next to the taillights had to be widened to complete the N-Largo kit.

A stunning, clear carbon fiber lower rear diffuser and an even better looking rear wing in the same lightweight material complete the looks of this amazing V10 from Novitec Torado … also note they replaced the engine cover with a new one that includes a central vent tunnel while the front hood shows the by now famous triangular Novitec intakes, all wind tunnel tested to achieve the best aerodynamic concept possible, keep in mind that the front hood can also be ordered in clear carbon fiber.

A set of carbon fiber finished exterior rear view mirrors, the carbon fiber air intakes behind the side windows and the carbon fiber taillight surround complete the race inspired look of this Novitec Torado Lamborghini Huracan LP860-4 N-Largo while a set of lowering springs bring the V10 35mm closer to the road … for an even sportier suspension setup a soon to be available set of height-adjustable coilovers will be offered.

A set of black NL2 forged wheels complete the look of this LeMans blue finished Lamborghini Huracán … 9×20 inch up front with a staggered 12.5×21 inch version at the rear, 245/30 ZR 20 and 325/25 ZR 21 P Zero’s from Pirelli are fitted on them … also note the color coded brake calipers that look absolutely breathtaking behind the five double spokes of these custom wheels.

While not yet available, the Huracán N-Largo will be fitted with a supercharged V10 engine that will increase the original power output of 610hp up to a very impressive 860hp (633 kW) and a maximum torque output of 960 Nm … while even more power could be derived from this setup the engineers at Novitec Torado want to create a durable, but very high power engine for their customers to enjoy to the fullest.

While already available for the normal Novitec Torado Huracan, the impressive Inconel exhaust system will also be fitted to this new N-Largo version … available with or without the butterfly valves, this system will have the Huracán N-Largo sound as impressive as she looks.

In fact when you look at this impressive aerodynamic kit from Novitec you still might mistake it for a factory original car, the design is so well executed you can hardly tell this hasn’t been created by the Squadra Corse department at Sant’Agata … Novitec Torado took the original design of the Lamborghini Huracán and put her in steroids … the N-Largo is just a very beautiful, aggressive looking car in the end.

As the year ends, we’d like to share a special project with you. DMC’s Middle East representative recently finished a stunning LP610, put on film by photo artist Hexham Alsaigh.

One of the character giving elements of this kit is surely the wing spoiler. The leading wing for LP610, that can be adjusted to 3 angle settings: Choose City Cruising, GT Track day or Fun Mode. Each one was individually wind tunnel and CFD tested. The spoiler comes with a 10 page PDF document full of physical data, technical specs and wind flow analysis.

If that would not be enough, the wing also comes with a base deck under it, which is a stronger version of the original part that each LP610 has. This way, owners don’t need to drill holes, and the product install can be done in under 30 minutes. It has been tested and certified by the German TUV, assuring road safety and quality.

The side skirts that add downforce, the rear diffuser that supports road stability are all taken from Stage1 as well, but it’s the front lip that really makes this new package stand out. Made from the same dry carbon fiber as all other components, DMC now has gone back to the drawing board: They came up with a stunning, full front lip spoiler with added Side Flaps that remind many of us of the aggressive LP720 Anniversario look.

The forged wheels come in a  20″/21″ setup, and are the widest sets in the market so far. The front has got a technical set up of 20×8,5J wile the rear then showcases specs of 21x12J. Enthusiasts may foresee that DMC will be using a 245/30r20 / 325/25r21 tyre combination but a softer P-Zero application is possible as well.

As usual, clients can choose from an unlimited array of interior options, DMC will customise the LP610 with rare leathers (Ostrich, Stingray) and Carbon Fiber, matching any of the exclusive clientele’s desires. The engine optimisation program (LP630) fit well to the new package as well, making it overall an exciting re-appearance for 2015.

Performance

The Lamborghini Huracán LP580-2 puts 60% of its weight on the rear wheels; being 33 kg lighter at 1,389kg, the decrease in power is not even noticeable add the new power management system with altered suspension, different steering setup, and new stability and traction control settings driving the new LP580-2 is very different from her four-wheel drive counterpart.

Indeed, the Anima driving modes—Strada, Sport, and Corsa—have been reconfigured to include oversteer, providing a true sensation of a genuine rear-wheel drive Lamborghini. With a new front bumper and a redesigned rear section, the Huracan LP580-2 is readily distinguishable from the LP610-4 version, marking it as a unique variant in the lineup.

The larger air intakes in the front bumper actively increase downforce at speed while the modified, rising rear diffuser offers improved airflow around the back the Huracán has no need for an adjustable rear spoiler with this setup.

The Huracán LP580-2 sets itself apart from the LP610-4 model with its rear-wheel drive-only configuration, and it comes standard with new 19-inch Kari wheels fitted with Pirelli PZero tires that have been specifically developed for this rear-wheel drive Huracan. Additionally, steel brakes are included as standard, while larger 20-inch wheels and Carbon Ceramic disk brakes are available as optional upgrades.

The re-engineered 580 hp V10 engine now features a cylinder deactivation system; when not needed, a complete cylinder bank is turned off under acceleration, and all ten cylinders are again activated instantly fuel consumption of only 11.9/100km, and CO² emission of 278 g/km are impressive figures for such a high-performance supercar.

The new Lamborghini Huracán LP580-2 is now available at your local dealer and can be ordered in every shade available on the Huracán LP610-4, both inside and outside; several options are listed on the ordering system while, as usual, the Ad Personam program will try to fulfill just about every wish a customer might have.

Drivetrain

The Novara was in fact inspired by motorsport aerodynamics thanks to Vorsteiner’s racing experience, the new kit comes with a new front bumper, side fenders, side sills, rear bumper and a fixed rear wing, while different wheel designs are available and a new stainless steel exhaust system offers better sound … and more power.

The new front bumper with lower spoiler not only looks good, but thanks to the larger air intakes and modified aerodynamics the Novara bumper not only supplies more air onto the radiators but also improves airflow, the vertical fins direct more air onto the cooling radiators while the special honeycomb protects them from road debris.

The two Vorsteiner front fenders include vents on top of the wheels, finished in clear carbon fiber these ventilation openings actively add downforce, the airflow generated by the wheels push air out of these vents while pushing the front down for a better aerodynamic flow and increased performance.

A total of only 50 units will be built, only available in yellow or red and always on glossy black wheels and chrome exhaust tips. Engine output it still 610hp with a top speed of 325 Km/h and acceleration figures of 3.2 seconds from 0 to 100 Km/h, just like the original Huracán LP610-4 the Zhong is based on.

But there is a very nice incentive to go for the Huracán Zhong in China the price. The Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 is listed at 4,290,000 Yuan (about US$ 680,000) while this limited edition Zhong is available at only 3,500,000 Yuan (US$ 550,000) which is a serious discount.

So you will still have the very low front spoiler lip in either FRP ($ 3,780) or CFRP ($4,860) together with the very stylish side sills, again available in FRP ($4,320) or CFRP ($5,400) and the impressive rear diffuser in FRP ($4,320) or CFRP ($5,400) … you will however have to decided which rear wing you would like to fit.

There are two versions, both in that well-known ‘Duck tail’ design … but Version 1 is the taller one as seen on the red, Wide fender version while Version 2 is the lower one seen on the wide Normal fender Huracán. Version 1 in FRP will be $5,400 or in CFRP for $6,480 while the slightly lower, smaller Version 2 comes to $3,780 in FRP and $4,860 in CRFP.

I don’t know if you would be able to fit the AirRex suspension system to the LB Works Narrow fender version too, but in case you can it would set you back an additional $9,500 in fact, and judging from the photos of the white LB Works Huracán it does look she is riding a lot lower than usual.

If you do a quick addition this LB Works Huracán Narrow fender version will come to $20,520 if you opt for the rear wing Version 2 and all parts in CFRP … that is $5,500 less than the Wide fender kit in CFRP … which mean those four additional fenders cost $1,375 each.

The Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 took over the Gallardo reign in 2014, and despite the difficult task of replacing a model that single-handedly sold almost half of the entire Lamborghini production of the last 50 years, the new model became an overwhelming success, orders poured in, and during the first 15 months of sales about 3,000 units were delivered, nearly 50% of those went to first time Lamborghini buyers a testament to the new Huracán is the perfect car for the market today.

It became evident quite swiftly that the creation of the Huracán was no casual endeavor at Sant’Agata. Just five months following the unveiling of the original Huracan LP610-4 in Geneva, Lamborghini Squadra Corse revealed the Huracan LP620-2 Super Trofeo race car. This vehicle, a genuine track beast, was developed in collaboration with Dallara Engineering, founded by Giampaolo Dallara himself. It was destined to be a contender in the 2015 season of the Blancpain Super Trofeo series across Europe, Asia, and North America.

Yet, that was merely the beginning. By January 2015, the Huracán GT3 had made its debut on the test track. This time, the Lamborghini Squadra Corse department was fully committed, crafting the race versions of their cars in-house. Giorgio Sanna, Head of Motorsport at Lamborghini, spent countless miles behind the wheel of these two specially constructed race cars, honing them for optimal performance on the track.

In a rapid 12-month timeframe, Lamborghini had already developed two derivatives of their successful new V10 model. A mere 18 months after the initial launch, the time had arrived for another step in the V10 line’s evolution. At the September 2015 IAA in Frankfurt, Lamborghini unveiled the breathtaking Huracan LP610-4 Spyder, an open version of the Coupé.

Interior & Exterior Design

Filippo Perini, Head of design, stated at the IAA that both the Huracán Coupé and the Huracan Spyder had been developed side by side, unlike the usual process of creating a convertible version after the closed model has been finalized and is selling already. This allowed Lamborghini to create two different cars at the same time while still utilizing the technical solutions developed right from the start the Huracan Spyder might look like a regular Huracan with the roof removed, but Perini states both cars are considered to be a model on their own.

During an interview with Maurizio Reggiani, Director for Research and Development, he stated the choice for the soft top on the Huracán took a lot of discussion most of the competitors to the Huracan have opted for a hard top configuration on their open models, but Lamborghini wanted to stay true to their Spyder legacy and opted to keep a fabric top on their latest model the lightweight, electrohydraulic folding soft top takes only 17 seconds to open and can be operated at speeds up to 50km/h.

The option of using a soft top also differentiates the new Huracan Spyder further from her Coupé counterpart, and according to Stephan Winkelmann, president and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini SpA, it is the perfect combination of a high-performance car with the best lifestyle ever. Even comparing the new Huracán Spyder against each other with the roof up and down, you have two different cars, the best of both worlds.

Given the fact the Gallardo Spyder was the best-selling open-top Lamborghini in history, the new Huracán Spyder will have to reach new heights in sales once again, but judging from the reactions the two show cars in Frankfurt received, this shouldn’t be too much of a problem here the decision to go for the soft top solution makes sense too the Spyder will not take away sales from her sister the Coupé something a hard top convertible might do.

We are still looking at a V10-powered Raging Bull putting 610 hp on the road with impressive acceleration figures of 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 324 km/h (201 mph), while the new MY2016 engine now comes with the new ‘Cylinder on demand’ function and a ‘start and stop’ system that will cut the engine at a standstill and start her up again when you apply power when all those 610 Raging Bulls haven’t required the new Huracán can in fact deactivate an entire bank of cylinders that’s 5 of them that no longer work which does miracles for CO2 emissions.

Right from the start, the soft top on the Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 Spyder can be ordered in three different shades, from the usual black to nice red and stylish grey fabric customers should have no trouble finding the right color roof with 11 exterior shades for the Spyder and 5 additional matte paints in the Ad Personam program.

When closed, the roof shows a very nice profile on the new Huracán Spyder with a rear window that can be lowered even with the roof up so you can enjoy the amazing sound from the V10 engine just inches behind your back, with the roof open this window can be raised again to avoid wind buffeting while driving at speed. When the roof is hidden away in her space behind the seats, there are special ducts in the side panels behind the driver and passenger to keep wind noise down.

For safety reasons, the new Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 Spyder comes with special, pop-up safety bars that are hidden from view so they don’t spoil the perfect side profile of this new Bull, a very nice feature are the two black sections that turn into place when the roof is opened and folded away, they perfect the design of the Huracán Spyder with the roof down making sure this Lamborghini looks great no matter what the weather conditions are.

As a result of some serious aerodynamic testing, the top of the windshield on the Huracán Spyder does not need any additional deflectors in fact there is a very stylish script in place that can be customized if the owner wants to see a name there two removable lateral wind guards can be fitted to minimize wind noise at high speed inside the Spyder and direct air into the engine compartment so hot air from the V10 engine can escape better through the fins on the bespoke engine cover for the Huracán Spyder.

The chassis on the Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 Spyder combines aluminum with carbon fiber while the body panels are made from aluminum, thanks to this hybrid chassis, the new Spyder is 40% more rigid compared to the Gallardo Spyder and with a weight of 1,542 kg this open-top version is only 120 kg heavier than her closed sibling (at 1,422 kg) resulting in a power to weight ratio of 2.53 kg per hp.

Thanks to thorough aerodynamic testing and creating a near-perfect airflow around and underneath the car (thanks to a totally smooth underbody) the Huracán Spyder exceeds the downforce of the Gallardo Spyder by 50% with the roof up these studies also ensured a very low drag coefficient and an almost complete elimination of wind noise.

Carbon-ceramic brakes are standard on the Huracán Spyder, too, while the customer can opt to have the large brake calipers painted in a few different shades while the cover 380mm discs up front and 356mm discs at the rear hiding behind large 20-inch wheels available in two models, either the standard Giano design or the optional, lightweight forged Mimas design finished in bright silver, high gloss black or titanium.

On the outside, you can opt for the ‘Style pack’ that will have the lower grills painted in glossy black, but also the fins on the engine cover, which are satin black normally, will get a high gloss finish with this option, the windshield surround is normally color coded with the rest of the Huracán Spyder, but you can order it in glossy black as an option too at the moment there is no glass engine cover available yet.

Inside the Lamborghini Huracán Spyder, you are facing a beautiful 12.3-inch TFT display with a razor-sharp resolution for instance, the rev counter is updated every 1/60 of a second to make sure it moves nicely, even under hard acceleration. Another really nice detail is the fact the electric seats received an ECU to make sure that they never touch the engine wall behind them to avoid any noises while driving.

If you think choosing the exterior color of your new Huracán Spyder was difficult, take a look at the possibilities for the interior five different levels: Standard, Elegante, Sportivo with Alcantara, Sportivo bicolor with Alcantara, and Sportivo bicolor with leather while there are no less than 17 colors for the interior.

Also, note the amazing-looking carbon fiber sport seats are available as an option on the Spyder, too; the orange metallic car at the IAA show clearly showed their magnificent style by combining black Alcantara with orange leather.

Performance

The Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 Spyder offers impressive performance figures, much like its coupe counterpart. Here are some key performance metrics for the Huracán LP 610-4 Spyder:

1. Acceleration:

• 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h): Approximately 3.4 seconds.
• 0-124 mph (0-200 km/h): Approximately 10.2 seconds.

2. Top speed: Around 201 mph (324 km/h).
3. Braking: 62-0 mph (100-0 km/h) – Approximately 104 ft (31.7 meters).

4. Weight distribution: 43% front / 57% rear.

Drivetrain

The Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 Spyder shares the same drivetrain as its coupe counterpart, the LP 610-4. It is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine, which has a displacement of 5,204 cubic centimeters (cc). The engine delivers a maximum power output of 610 horsepower (PS) at 8,250 rpm and a peak torque of 413 pound-feet (560 Newton meters) at 6,500 rpm.

The power is sent to all four wheels (hence the “4” in LP 610-4) through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, also known as the Lamborghini Doppia Frizione (LDF) gearbox. The all-wheel-drive system ensures optimum traction and handling, making the Huracán LP 610-4 Spyder a high-performance convertible sports car.

Pricing and Options

The base price of the Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 Spyder was around $260,000 – $290,000 USD. Actual prices may vary depending on the market, taxes, and additional options.

Options and packages available for the Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 Spyder include, but are not limited to:

Ares Performance has a factory in Modena, Italy … but they have two main offices too, one in Vienna, Austria and a second one in Baar, Switzerland. With a London showroom in Piccadilly, another showroom in Dubai, a dealership in the United States (Platinum Motor Sport Lifestyle) and one in Japan (Auto Project D) … so they are rather serious about their setup, and it shows in the style and finish of this Huracan too.

Ares Design is currently available for the Aston Martin Rapide, the Bentley Continental GT, the Mercedes G class and S class, they even offer a ‘stretch’ Mercedes S, a Range Rover and a Rolls Royce Wraith and now also for the new Lamborghini Huracan … so they are targeting the very high end of the car market with their products.

Styling is always a matter of personal taste, and for some tuners like Mansory are just too radical, but if you still want to have your car stand out from the crowd you will have to transform it into something different, so people will notice at first sight it isn’t a factory standard car anymore … and that is where Ares Design made the right choice with their Huracan aerodynamic kit.

Instead of adding a lower fin or or some vents onto the original bumper they went for a complete replacement. The entire front bumper has been removed and a new design installed, larger air intakes up front, a set of vertical driving lights to impress other drivers on the road and a large air vent in true Superleggera style on the side of this bumper. Also note in front of the headlights this Ares Design bumper has some black sections to give a different impression … very nicely done.

On the side we see a different side sill that received a pair of vertical fins, a small one just behind the front wheel and a rather large one in front of the rear wheel … at high speed these fins will improve stability … and they look good too.

Around the back the Ares Design Huracan boasts a new bumper and lower diffuser … and in a very innovative design, even the grille below the taillights has been changed, the bumper now shows a pair of air vents on the side while the center section that holds the license plate is finished in satin black … even the massive exhausts are an in-house design by Ares … they even offer a Titanium sports exhaust system.

Ares Design didn’t install a rear wing on this show car unlike most of the other tuners out there, but they did increase power on the 610hp V10 engine by reprogramming the ECU … a nice 650hp is now available with the original exhaust installed, if you go for the optional titanium unit you’ll probably gain a few more horses …

As for wheels this red Huracan shows a set of exclusive Ares Design rims, ultra-light forged wheels at 20 inch up front and 21 inch at the rear … being a simple, five spoke design I guess some customers will want to have something more elaborate on their Huracan.

Do keep in mind the entire Ares Design body kit is made from carbon fiber, produced using the vacuum/autoclave technique at 120° C at a pressure of 3 bar … with full EU homologation and backed by a 12 month warranty by Ares.

If the exterior of the Ares Design Huracan didn’t impress you, I’m sure the interior will … I don’t think there is any part on the inside of this car that hasn’t been touched by the artisans at Ares Design, the seats received a combination of black and red leather … and a carbon fiber look upholstery, almost like the Carbon Skin material Lamborghini is using themselves. The stitching pattern on the seats has been customized too and Ares has put on their logo on the headrest.

The dashboard is upholstered in a similar combination of red and black leather, some real carbon fiber and an amazing piping that really makes a difference here … and don’t forget the steering wheel which is a work of art on itself … all hand stitched by the Ares artisans using Italian sourced Nubuk and Nappa leather.

A price for this red car has been listed in the official press release too by the way … €367,000 or £259,000 …

The Novitec Torado Aventador LP700-4 impressed the world with a double rear wing, complete with special electronic box to avoid the error generated by the original rear wing when you disconnect it from raising, more importantly NOVITEC offers a Bi-Kompressor kit that has been measured at 969hp (713 kW) at 8,300rpm with a boost setting of 0.47 bar … and recently also made available in Aventador LP700-4 Roadster form.

It took them a few months, but now Novitec Torado released a complete package for the Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4, the aerodynamic parts are all made of carbon fiber and actually improve airflow around the V10 from Sant’Agata … NOVITEC does actual wind tunnel testing to make sure of this. Add the NOVITEC exhaust system with a perfect fit and powerful sound, either as an individual performance optimizing components with or without flap regulation. The option of having custom made tips will give the back of the Huracan a more aggressive look, note that these exhausts can come in either stainless steel or in racing grade Inconel … either replace the original catalysts with a set of metal sport catalytst or with a set of replacement pipes.

The special NOVITEC wheels are made specifically for Lamborghini, they retain the center caps and pressure regulation system, with a close look at the details these wheels avoid having to modify the settings on the car, the size is kept in line with the original rims to ensure a perfect fit and finish. The NOVITEC Star wheel comes in 9×20 inch up front and 12.5×21 inch at the rear with 255/30 R20 and 355/25 R21 Pirelli P-Zero respectively. Wheel design is available in silver metallic, black center with a chrome lip or the same chrome lip with a customer selected paint on the center … even a carbon fiber coating is possible on these double five spoke rims.

Naturally with such a special wheel design comes a lowering system for the Huracan, NOVITEC has two options here, either a KW aluminium coil over suspension sport hydraulically adjustable in height including dual adjustable aluminium shock absorbers with separated expansion reservoir at damper housing, compression and rebound adjustable in front and rear … or just a Sport Spring set for lowering, in combination with standard suspension, for cars with or without the MAGNETO dampers. Just for that impressive look you could add 11mm (22mm per axle) Aluminium spacers for the front made of high-strength aluminium, corrosion-protected: set of 2 pieces including Lamborghini wheel bolts in black anodized.

Now onto the aerodynamic package from NOVITEC on the Lamborghini Huracan, it is a very complete kit consisting of two front spoiler lips in clear carbon fiber to be mounted onto the original bumper, both the lower center fin and the upper one on the front bumper can also receive a clear carbon fiber cover while the original side sills are replaced by NOVITEC with new units in clear carbon fiber … the rear diffuser can be ordered either in a form to be painted or in clear carbon fiber … with or without the rear view camera mounted.

At the rear NOVITEC offers a few options when it comes to a rear wing, either you put three small sections of carbon fiber onto the original duck tail style rear section, or you opt for the high rear wing which is available in a single airfoil or as a double wing, just like on the Aventador.

Now comes the good part, the small fin underneath the taillights can also receive a clear carbon fiber cover, together with the small air intakes behind the side windows and up front a pair of vertical fins can be mounted on the large air intakes of the front bumper … talking about air intakes, once again NOVITEC offers the replacement front hood with triangular intakes, either in carbon fiber to be painted or in high gloss visible carbon fiber … and if you have the glass engine cover on your Huracan NOVITEC can mount two air intakes that peek just above the roof.

Add some more clear carbon fiber in the engine compartment to complete the look, two covers for the exterior rear view mirrors complete the outside transformation … naturally for the inside a large selection of clear carbon fiber parts are available from NOVITEC too.

If you take a look at the Huracan GT3 or the Huracan Super Trofeo race cars you will notice in both cases the rear wing shows a ‘hanging’ design, in Vorsteiner Nero language this is called the ‘Goose Neck Aero Wing’ … a single-piece rigid clear 2×2 carbon fiber autoclave wing element that can be ordered with two different types of ‘uprights’. Either with two T-6061 aluminum CNC struts to hang the wing on or in the lightweight carbon fiber version … which would look amazing with the new Vorsteiner Nero carbon fiber base that replaces the original Huracan rear wing.

At the 2015 Geneva Auto Show Mansory will unveil their latest project for the Raging Bull make … the Huracan by Mansory … with the press car finished in intimidating black featuring clear carbon fiber aerodynamic parts and a totally custom made interior it will surely draw a lot of attention.

Inside we encounter the softest leather combining red with black Bull hides, of you take a closer look at the stitching pattern on the red sections of the seat you will recognize the style from the Mansory Carbonado, not really an imitation of Lamborghini’s Q-Citura stitching, but an innovative Mansory detail … very nice indeed.

The central console also receives a touch of red leather, but more importantly also a dash of red paint to really make a difference … it looks like just about every panel inside the original Lamborghini Huracan has been touched by renowned Mansory to make it even more exclusive, even the steering wheel has been modified and as usual Mansory installed lots of carbon fiber inside this Bull.

Up front we encounter a modified bumper with large forward pointing air intakes and stylish, vertical fins on the side, making the Huracan visually wider and actually boasting a style derived from the limited edition Lamborghini Aventador LP720-4 50th Anniversary edition … however on the Mansory Huracan this front section is finished in clear carbon fiber.

On the side Mansory installed clear carbon fiber side sills with a nice vertical fin just ahead of the wheels and modified air intakes at the same position … in fact the entire lower side air intake has been replaced by Mansory and now features a horizontal fin … all in clear carbon fiber which is actually also visible on the door sill when the doors open on this V10 Bull.

Carbon fiber exterior rear view mirrors complete the look from the side while a new set of forged wheels in 9×20 inch up front and 12.5×21 inch at the back with 245/30ZR20 and 325/25ZR21 Pirelli tires not only shaves lots of weight from the Huracan, they also look impressive.

Going round the back of the Huracan by Mansory unveils perhaps the most attention to detail of the entire car, a complete lower rear diffuser in clear carbon fiber takes the place of the original, plastic unit. We have to admit the styling of this Mansory rear diffuser again reminds us of the Aventador LP720-4 lower rear section … keeping in mind the 50th Anniversary edition V12 model is still considered to be the most beautiful model from the Aventador range this can’t be seen as a bad thing.

A clear carbon fiber rear wing by Mansory completes the exterior restyle of this Lamborghini Huracan, sitting atop two stylish, open struts this rear wing has a very nice flow with the two outer tips being lower than the mid section, and it actively increases downforce on the rear axle … so form and function together.

All that aggressive styling on the outside should come with power to match, and that is exactly what Mansory was thinking too as they came up with the MH1 package. Being only the first stage of engine tuning (I can’t wait for their 1,200hp version …) total power output has been increased from the standard 602hp to a massive 838hp at 8,200 rpm (from 449 kW to 625 kW) by installing a single turbo combined with a new exhaust system (both manifold and damper), modified fuel pressure control, custom intake manifold fuel injectors and a reprogramming of both engine and transmission management.

Maximum torque output of the Huracan MH1 by Mansory is a nice 780 Nm at 5,300 rpm (from 560 Nm at 6,500 rpm) … the new top speed is now 330 Km/h (205 Mph) with accelerations figures to match … 100 Km/h is reached in 2.9 seconds from a standstill.

Still only a render, but LB Performance has listed their new LB Works Huracan as ‘coming soon’ on their website, showing five different angles of a white Lamborghini V10 with the LB Performance trademark wide body aerodynamic kit … as usual with those exposed rivets still in plain sight and complete with that massive ‘duck tail’ fixed rear wing at the back of the venerable Huracan.

Up front it looks like LB Performance will be mounting additional carbon fiber sections underneath the standard front bumper making the Huracan ride very low already, the side fenders receive massive extensions in true LB Works style with exposed rivets mounting them onto the original Lamborghini fenders, just like over the rear wheels … another set of wide extensions get riveted onto the original bodywork … both the front and rear wheel arches require to be cut larger in fact so LB Performance can install another trademark for their LB Works kits … the extremely low riding suspension.

Once again LB Performance drops their latest LB Works kit completely to the floor, which looks amazing, but could pose some issues on the open road .. hence these kits are also known as ‘bagged suspension’ … an air compressor and one or more air tanks are used to raise and lower the car when required … and it does look ever so intimidating …

From the renders it seems the side sills are kept standard with their air intakes just ahead of the rear wheels, but there is a clear carbon fiber fin added anyway, with a small upright section behind the front wheels while the rear lower diffuser also receives some additional fins underneath the dual exhaust pipes on either side.

Now these renders show what looks like the standard exhaust tips on the Huracan, but I’m sure we’ll be getting another flame spitting, custom made exhaust system for this V10 Raging Bull in the end … making her thunder even more.

A closer look at the rear also shows that fixed rear wing is in fact a three part unit, with the engine cover of the Huracan opening up complete with a section above the rear fascia, it makes sense for LB Performance to actually cut their large rear wing at that spot and have the two outer sections remain fixed to the bodywork while the center section goes up with the engine cover.

For the moment LB Performance has shown five different renders of a white Lamborghini Huracan with their LB Works kit, but I’m sure they will be building it on a more exotic shade … perhaps even the baby blue finished used on their Aventador wide body.

The new body made from composite material has been developed in collaboration with Dallara Engineering, founded by Gian Paolo Dallara, who has created a new aerodynamic shape based on the Huracan but optimizing air flow both around and into the car, complete with a massive rear wing and a lower front diffuser both of which are fully adjustable by the way.

Body panels are ‘fast-fitting’ on the new Lamborghini Huracan GT3 while inside we encounter a carbon seat together with an OMP fire extinguishing system. They even fitted a special hatch on the roof that allows access through the roof of the car in case of an accident.

The Huracan GT3 is a rear wheel drive only model with massive 380x34mm steel brake discs up front and 355x32mm discs at the rear with 6 and 4 pot calipers respectively add the Bosch ABS system that can be adjusted in 12 settings straight from the steering wheel and tires in 315/680 and 325/705 to the front and rear together with a pneumatic lifting system and you are talking about a real FIA GT3 race car.

Engine and Performance

The Huracán GT3 is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine derived from the road-going Huracán. This engine has been tuned and optimized for racing, producing over 550 horsepower (the exact output may vary due to regulations). The engine is paired with a six-speed sequential gearbox with paddle shifters, ensuring lightning-fast gear changes and optimized performance on the racetrack.

Chassis and Aerodynamics

The GT3 version of the Huracán is built on an aluminum and carbon-fiber chassis, which is both lightweight and strong. The extensive use of carbon fiber and other lightweight materials help to reduce the car’s overall weight, which in turn improves handling and performance.

The aerodynamic package on the Huracán GT3 is designed to provide maximum downforce and grip on the racetrack. The aggressive front splitter, enlarged rear wing, and revised side skirts all contribute to improved stability and handling at high speeds.

Suspension and Braking

The Huracán GT3 features a race-tuned suspension system with adjustable dampers, giving drivers the ability to fine-tune the car’s handling characteristics. The car also boasts an advanced anti-roll bar system and adjustable ride height for further customization. The braking system consists of ventilated steel discs with six-piston calipers at the front and four-piston calipers at the rear, providing exceptional stopping power and fade resistance.

Interior and Safety

The interior of the Huracán GT3 is focused entirely on racing, with a stripped-down cabin to save weight. A racing bucket seat, six-point harness, and a full roll cage provide safety and support for the driver. The digital dashboard and steering wheel are packed with controls and switches to manage various vehicle systems, such as engine mapping, traction control, and ABS.

And you have to admit those clear carbon fiber parts and dark wheels look really great on a bright shade like Bianco Icarus for instance the entire DMC Affari kit is shown, complete with the front splitter nicely mounted underneath the original bumper and those add-on vents on the side with their carbon fiber fin.

But also the stylish side sills and massive lower diffuser are present together with the modified rear fascia proudly showing the DMC script and the two large indents but the rear is dominated by a stunning rear wing, again finished in clear carbon fiber, just like the section between the taillights which is no longer the Huracan base shade but turned into carbon fiber too.

Now I do like a bold shade like the Verde Mantis that was seen on the first DMC Huracan LP630-4 Affari, but I have to admit the Afferi kit on a Bianco Icarus Huracan delivers a totally different look and feel while the green car boasts a very aggressive, track styled feeling I think this white shade with the dark carbon fiber parts and nice wheels has a more refined look aggressive but still with a touch of class.

The very first exterior design studies show a very wide and low stance for the new Lamborghini model, naturally, this isn’t possible in real life, but it does give an impression of which direction the Centro Stile wanted to go the same thing with the interior renderings. In fact, some of the early interior designs already show the hexagon design theme that would make it into the Huracán production model.

On a Lamborghini not much is there for show only, just about every design element has a function too so the design of the seats is another major part of the development program for a new model made in Sant’Agata. One of the designs even shows a reference to a Super Hero in the way the sections on the seat flow into each other.

Dashboard designs dated in 2010 show a steering wheel that is very close to the Aventador unit while the display itself looks identical in the end the Huracán would receive a bespoke design for the dashboard cluster, the steering wheel, the central console, and the seats just like it should be.

To really compare the ‘old’ against the ‘new’ the usual way is to put both next to each other naturally in the early stages of development this isn’t an option in real life, so Lamborghini’s Centro Style made 3D renders that show the Gallardo and the Huracán next to each other in an identical shade so they could judge the look and feel of the car that would have to replace the most successful Raging Bull ever.

Once the virtual design stage reaches a certain level the next step for a company like Automobili Lamborghini SpA is to create scale models for the most interesting concept studies, note that these are usually rather large scale versions like 1/10th or 1/5th so the designers and the Board of Directors can get a good impression of how the car is going to look in real life.

There are four different designs that went into the scale model stage, all finished in silver metallic a shade that would also adorn the Huracán when shown in the United States even at this early stage Lamborghini was thinking about different markets for this new car, using more subtle shades for the prototyping stage instead of bright green, yellow or orange they went for a classic looking grey metallic a shade that also happens to show every line and edge on the design, so the choice for this paint isn’t that far-fetched.

One of these scale model concepts shows a Reventon-inspired front bumper with large, angular intakes and a very stylish, deeply carved-in air intake behind the doors a lot of squared lines on this design which might be a little over the top, so a second model is loosely based on this same Reventon style front bumper but the air intakes are more integrated into the bumper while a black section is installed, just like on the triangular air intake in front of the rear wheels looks aggressive and wouldn’t have been a bad choice for the production car if you ask me.

The third scale model has a very innovative air intake on the side of the car, a large crease starting almost at the front of the door running into the rear wheel arch to angle back up and house a rectangular intake behind the door up front the corner air intakes run high into the fenders while a black spoiler fin sits high on the front bumper, almost an extension of the front hood in fact while I like the design of the front it might not have been the best option for actual production as it might not meet worldwide legal regulations, a must for the V10 model from Lamborghini.

The fourth and final scale model shows a natural evolution from the Gallardo into the 21st century, again angular styling with impressive creases on the door and front hood note that none of these scale models actually show the double Y-shaped LED headlights that would be used on the Huracán, which makes me believe this was a decision made at a later stage in the development.

Now things get really interesting in the development of a new car when the stage of the 1:1 model is reached, this is usually a clay mockup that isn’t even near being drivable, but it does show the design of the car in real life, you can walk around it and take a glance from every angle to see how the actual production model will look the white model photographed inside the secured Centro Stile shows one of the early Huracán concepts a lot of this model will eventually be used for the production car, but things like the lower side air intake in front of the rear wheels will be changed, also the design for the engine cover didn’t make it into production in the end.

To get a feel of how the interior for a new model looks this is also created in full scale, mostly with the textures and materials that would be used for the production model too, complete with the steering wheel, seats and a mockup display on the dashboard almost looks like a driving simulator, but it does allow to make final adjustments before actual production is started.

It is always nice to get a glimpse of what is going on behind the scenes during the design and development of a new Lamborghini, and these sketches and photos really show just how much effort went into creating the next-generation V10 Raging Bull at Sant’Agata.

I’m sure the team at the Centro Stile in Sant’Agata went to work on a new V10 Lamborghini many years ago, however the first information about the Gallardo successor got published in May 2012 when rumor had it we would still be seeing a V10 engine, no hybrid nor turbo charging with a power output of +600hp, at that time the manual gearbox was already being questioned and the name Cabrera was mentioned.

And things became quite again for many months … a lot of speculation went round, Lamborghini would show the new V10 at the 2012 Paris Motor Show … which didn’t happen … then it would be the 2013 Geneva Auto Show … again wishful thinking … suddenly a heavily camouflaged mule was captured and published online in June 2013, however this car didn’t unveil any actual design cues for the new Lamborghini.

However in early September 2013 another test mule was caught during night testing, and this one did show some styling under the black tape … people started thinking they would see the Gallardo successor at the IAA in Frankfurt … but in the end Lamborghini showed the Squadra Corse, no successor yet.

Not much about the actual design could be recognized at that stage, a lot of black tape and covers did and excellent job at hiding the Lamborghini underneath … it did show dual exhaust pipes left and right at the rear and thin taillights, possibly LED and a nice engine cover with vents on either side … this early test mule also showed very special wheels … which would turn out the be the standard units in the end.

Late September 2013 showed a still heavily camouflaged Lamborghini during performance testing on the famous Nürnburgring in Germany, and while the first night sighting showed a glimpse of green under the black ‘dress’ these new photos show Lamborghini took things even more serious now … as if the black tape and panels weren’t enough they applied a black and white cameo wrap all over the car underneath to hide the lines even more.

Now even the rear section is completely hiding the actual design so you can’t recognize anything anymore … or so they think, closer inspection of the photos show the new V10 Lamborghini could be using two Y-shaped headlights like the Estoque concept did, while the side shots clearly show the roof line is very close to the Gallardo one while the exterior rear view mirrors look almost identical … still things could change dramatically before the official unveil.

In November 2013 a rather unexpected render by WildSpeed was published online … showing what was called a Lamborghini Cabrera and it looked almost real … the proportions looked right, the styling looked like what could be hiding under the earlier black tape and panels … it was almost too good to be true.

A few days later the Dutch car magazine AutoWEEK also published new renders of a Lamborghini Cabrera … they even mentioned special VIP events, open on invitation only would be held as early as January 2014 with the actual, official public unveil at the 2014 Geneva Auto Show … all of which turned out to be true naturally.

After that things got into overdrive … the same week as the above mentioned renders got published a cameo covered test mule got snapped while being parked near a gas station, and these photos showed a lot of details on the new Lamborghini V10 model … perhaps even too much as it didn’t take long to create some really nice renders based on these new photos, renowned QuattroRuote in Italy even published an article with images they stated being the real deal.

In fact late November was also the start of the Hexagon Project marketing teasers by Automobili Lamborghini, a series of movies that would lead to the unveil of the Gallardo Successor at the factory in Sant’Agata … things finally started to take shape for the new V10 model … and by now the name Cabrera was also denied … instead the internal production number LB724 was mentioned and the name Huracan got the spotlight.

During December 2013 road testing of the new Lamborghini Huracan continued … this time in ice cold conditions and on snowy roads, at least two different cars were captured during testing, one of which showed some serious additional lights on the front hood. In fact during these tests Lamborghini performed a nifty trick to hide the actual design of the wheels used … they added silver tape between the spokes … it didn’t take long to render the original look in PhotoShop however.

In late December 2013 the first ‘leaked’ press photos (or renders) were published, I don’t know if this was intentional or not, but still I created a few different shades based on those renders, I even put together what might become a Huracan LP650-4 Superleggera evolution later on.

On December 20. 2013 an official press release from Automobili Lamborghini SpA was published complete with ‘renders’ of the new car … now we all knew it would be called Huracan LP 610-4 and how it looked … in general, as it turned out the press release didn’t give all the details yet and the design of the car wasn’t completely unveiled with these initial renders from the factory.

That same day the final episode of the Hexagon Project was published online showing the new Lamborghini Huracan at the factory … being taken on a joy ride by a couple of lucky guys that in fact broke into the factory during a museum visit earlier that day … a nicely put together story line naturally.

With most of the information and styling for the 2014 Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 now out in the open a lot of people started thinking about the next step in the development … which would obviously be an LP610-4 Spyder and the LP650-4 Superleggera … both of them I rendered for you too naturally.

In January 2014 Lamborghini launched their official online configurator for the new Huracan so people could start playing around and put together a virtual car to their likings … safe to say a lot of fans and owners lost many hours online in the next few days and weeks … especially when the VIP events were being held all over the world showing the new V10 model to customers and long time Lamborghini owners … in one month time Lamborghini managed to secure 700 orders for the new car … all while the general public didn’t even see the car yet.

Days before the 2014 Geneva Auto Show the bigger names in automotive magazines were invited to the factory in Sant’Agata for a briefing and a visit to the production line … one that showed a lot of Huracan being prepared … mostly in white by the way, but it did give a sneak preview behind the scenes of what we could expect a week later in Switzerland.

As usual there was a VIP Preview event the night before the press days in Geneva where Automobili Lamborghini SpA showed no less then three Huracan, a white one, a nice dark grey one and a very special Giallo Aton finished V10 rolling on glossy black wheels … very impressive.

On March 4. 2014 the Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 was finally shown to the public in Geneva, the ground floor was crowded with a Grigio Lynx, a Bianco Icarus and a Giallo Aton finished Huracan while the VIP section upstairs showed a stunning Rosso Mars V10 model … after the press days, when the general public could visit the Geneva Auto Show the Giallo Aton unit was replaced by a Verde Mantis Huracan … could be because the glossy black wheels on the yellow car aren’t available yet I’ve heard.

When the doors in Geneva opened a statement about the 2013 fiscal year for Automobili Lamborghini SpA got published … despite the Gallardo being end of life and everybody knowing about the successor being unveiled in 2014 they still managed to reach a record turnover … more than 1,000 Aventador were sold in 2013, and by early March 2014 over 1,000 firm orders for the new Huracan were booked … things are looking very bright for this new V10 model, I’m sure it will be able to follow in the footsteps of the extremely successful Gallardo.

He stated the option is surely being considered, keep in mind the current Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 has a normal 30/70 equation between the front and rear wheel drive, but in certain conditions this new V10 can put all the power onto the rear wheels only (and go 50/50 too) … so why would you go for a dedicated rear wheel drive only model then? Just for the fun of it I guess, remember the Gallardo was only available as a limited edition LP550-2 Valentino Balboni at first because Lamborghini wanted to have all their model with power on the four wheels … but a rear wheel drive V10 is so much fun to drive.

Mr Winkelmann also mentioned the customers expect new and special editions from Lamborghini, which can clearly be seen in the multitude of Gallardo editions that have been built, but also now on the Aventador flagship with the special Ad Personam models being shown … so does that mean we’ll be getting a long list of Huracán versions too?

I’m not sure the list will be quite as long as the Gallardo one … but a few things are certain … there will be a convertible version of the new V10 shown pretty soon, the Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 Spyder will surely be seen at either the October Paris Auto Show or the March 2015 Geneva show in March. Will the Huracán Spyder retain the canvas roof seen on the Gallardo or go for a folding metal top like the competition remains to be seen … but a topless V10 is in the making, that’s for sure.

Next up will most likely be a lightweight version of the current LP610-4 like a Superleggera, which would mean a small power increase and a loss of weight of around 100kg … that would make the Huracán really fly I think … let’s say this will become a Huracán LP620-4 Superleggera in 2016.

With the Huracán LP620-2 Super Trofeo being unveiled so quickly after the regular street car it is safe to say the street legal version of this racer could be just around the cornet … let’s hope that is going to be a Huracán LP620-2 Squadra Corse … closely based on the Super Trofeo but being legal to drive on the open road with some really wild styling.
