A year later, at the 2014 SEMA show in the United States of America we finally was an LB-Works Aventador in the style we would expect from Kato-san … lowered to the max, extremely wide fenders with that typical LB-Works ‘rivet’ look, and a giant rear wing … the LB-Works Aventador was unveiled.

It would take Kato-san four more years to come up with something even wilder than the LB-Works Aventador, at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show they unveiled the LB-Works Lamborghini Aventador Limited Edition, with a modified design and additional intakes … but this time the $60,000 aero kit became limited. Only 20 would be available on the Japanese market, and 30 would be sold to the rest of the world … and according to YouTube member Stradman, these kits are all but sold out, as he managed to get hold of one of the final units for his Bianco Canopus Aventador Roadster Pirelli edition.

On January 19, 2021, Wataru Kato, the founder, and CEO of Liberty Walk, turned 54 … and for his birthday he unveiled the final edition of the LB Aventador. Only 20 of these kits will be made, and it’s called the LB Silhouette WORKS Aventador GT EVO, in line with his latest Huracan kit that’s called the LB-Silhouette WORKS Huracan GT.

I’ve taken a look at the Liberty Walk website, where the new LB Silhouette WORKS Aventador GT EVO is listed, and it’s available in either FRP, DRY Carbon Fiber, or a mix of both … from $94,600 up to $187,000 … and yes, that is without the Aventador donor vehicle, without a custom exhaust, without wheels, and without the necessary air-ride suspension, this isn’t a kit for the fainthearted I guess.

Taking a look at the parts list on the Liberty Walk it becomes obvious not much of the original Lamborghini Aventador is left after installing this kit, my guess is only the roof and the doors remain, everything else is replaced by LB Silhouette WORKS Aventador GT EVO parts.

It does look like Kato-san was inspired by the 2018 Lamborghini SC18 Alston if you take a closer look at the design of this new LB Silhouette WORKS Aventador GT EVO, the vertical fins on the side of the new front bumper look similar to the ones on the SC18, also the new front hood from Liberty Walk reminds me of the SC18 one. But the most striking resemblance is the design of the front fenders, with the lower section that is fixed to the doors and opens up … just as we’ve seen on the SC18.

Even the rear fenders and the aero design in front of the rear wheels seem to be inspired by Squadra Corse’s one-off model, and how about that imposing rear wing where the vertical struts also start on the rear fenders, but the real give-away has to be that vertical fin on this GT EVO kit … that was also seen on the SC18.

But all that isn’t necessarily a bad thing, I rather like the SC18, and I also admire this new kit from Liberty Walk for what it stands for … and let’s not forget, even if you add the price of a Lamborghini Aventador (let’s say you get a second hand one), you go for the mixed FRP/Carbon fiber version at $123,200, add wheels, suspension, and a new exhaust in SVJ style … you would probably end up around $400,000, that’s still a long way from the rumored $7,000,000 the factory-built SC18 cost.

This bespoke Lamborghini Aventador S ‘dressed’ by the world-renowned fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto features a special design combining red and black patterns from the Yamamoto clothing collection both on the exterior and on the interior, especially the bespoke upholstery stands out considerably.

Also note there is a co-branded clothing collection available that holds three unique pieces, a mod coat, a bomber jacket and a hoodie sweatshirt, a collaboration between Automobili Lamborghini SpA and Yohji Yamamoto came together after Mitja Borkert, Head of Design at Lamborghini, met the fashion designer in Paris back in January 2020 during the Fashion Week event.

If this specific Aventador S will remain a one-off, not available to the public, as a showcase of the elaborate possibilities of the Ad Personam Studio isn’t mentioned in the press release, but this car does display the fact you can just about ask anything from Ad Personam for your new Raging Bull, Giovanni Perosino, Chief Commercial Officer of Automobili Lamborghini SpA, added over 50% of new Lamborghinis are being ordered with one of more bespoke Ad Personam options worldwide.

The first V12 race car in Lamborghini’s history was the Miura Jota from the Seventies, albeit not an official factory model, the Jota has kept her place in history, even if she was crashed and lost, only to have a tribute replica built by Piet Pulford on chassis #3033. After the original Miura Jota it would take several decades for Lamborghini to create a bespoke track car with a V12 engine ultimately this would be the Diablo SV-R, later on, replaced by the Diablo GT-R, both of which raced in bespoke one-make championships.

When the Murciélago replaced the Diablo in 2001 it took a few years for a Murciélago R-GT to be created, this time a true GT1 race car that was entered in racing all over the world to compete with cars from other makes and then the V10 cars were used for the Lamborghini Super Trofeo series, first with the Gallardo, later on with the Huracan there was also a Gallardo GT3 model and now a Huracan GT3 that’s entered in competition between other makes, but until today a V12 circuit monster wasn’t made anymore.

Performance

In comes the Lamborghini Essenza SC-V12, the new limited edition track-only hypercar developed by Lamborghini’s in-house racing department, Squadra Corse, and featuring a design from the Centro Stile studio only 40 of these SC-V12 will be built, and their owners will become members of an exclusive club with access to bespoke programs in 2021, probably as a supporting race during the Super Trofeo season.

The engine’s 830 hp comes from a RAM system to lift power during high speed, the thundering exhaust has been created in collaboration with Capristo, power is transmitted to the drivetrain via an X-trac sequential gearbox in a rear-wheel drive-only setup, the power-to-weight ratio of 1.66 hp/kg is achieved thanks to the use of a carbon-fiber tub without integrated roll cage developed with FIA prototype safety rules in mind.

Pirelli tires on 19 and 20-inch magnesium wheels to the front and rear hide a Brembo Motorsport developed brake system, while the aerodynamic shape of the Essenza SC-V12 creates 1,200 kg of downforce at 250 Km/h, that’s more than the current GT3 cars.

The special steering wheel was inspired by F1 racing, it incorporates a display and all necessary controls so the driver does not have to let go of the wheel while being seated in a carbon fiber OMP racing seat, fully homologated by the FIA.

Design

This extreme race car features a unique design focused on aerodynamics, lightweight construction, and pure driving performance. Here are some key design elements of the Essenza SCV12:

1. Aerodynamics: The Essenza SCV12’s bodywork is sculpted to optimize aerodynamics, increasing downforce and stability at high speeds. Its prominent front splitter, large rear wing, and aggressive rear diffuser work in tandem to generate significant downforce, rivaling that of a GT3 race car.
2. Lightweight construction: The SCV12 uses a carbon fiber monocoque chassis, which not only provides structural rigidity but also reduces overall weight. This enhances the car’s performance, handling, and agility on the track.
3. Powertrain: At its heart, the Essenza SCV12 features a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine, capable of producing over 830 horsepower. It is paired with a 6-speed sequential transmission and a rear-wheel-drive layout to provide a pure, unfiltered driving experience.
4. Exterior design: The Essenza SCV12’s design is striking and aggressive, reflecting its performance-oriented nature. Sharp lines, large air intakes, and Y-shaped LED headlights all contribute to the car’s distinctive appearance. The car also features Lamborghini’s signature hexagonal design motifs throughout the exterior.
5. Interior: The cockpit is purpose-built for track performance, with minimalist design elements to reduce weight and distractions for the driver. It features an FIA-approved racing seat, a multi-functional steering wheel inspired by Formula 1 cars, and a digital dashboard displaying essential information for the driver.

Production

The 40 Essenza SC-V12 will be sold to an elite group of customers that will become part of a new, exclusive club that offers the storage of these cars at the factory in Sant’Agata, with 24h day video surveillance, when the track calendar starts in 2021 the cars will be transported to the various FIA Grade 1 circuits, assisted by the official Squadra Corse technical staff, the owners will be able to drive their cars on the track, helped out by professional drivers.

There is no official indication yet on pricing, but don’t expect this exclusive, track-only V12 hypercar to come cheap but will these 40 customer cars be the end of the line for this model, or has the Essenza SC-V12 been created with the FIA World Endurance Championship in mind, they are adding a hypercar class (that replaces the LMP) for the 2020/2021 season it would make perfect sense.

Obviously, taking the Ad Personam route when ordering a new Lamborghini won’t come cheap, but you will end up with a truly bespoke car unlike any other, and what’s more, you’ll have the help from people right at the factory to decide on details the Ad Personam consultants know exactly what is possible, and what is probably a little more expensive to do impossible is a word you’ll not likely hear I guess.

At the time of writing traveling to Italy to visit the Lamborghini factory and have a meeting with the Ad Personam Studio might not be possible, so Automobili Lamborghini SpA came up with a solution and introduced a very special, very limited edition of the current flagship, the Aventador SVJ Xago Edition.

Only ten Aventador SVJ Xago Edition will be built, each one of them individually put together by an Ad Personam consultant with a customer during an initial two-hour virtual meeting. A customer can have his dealer ask for this meeting, during which they can call in from all over the world and be in direct contact with the Ad Personam specialist right at the factory, surrounded by samples of what is possible.

During this virtual meeting, the customer can discuss options and special requests, the Ad Personam consultant will show samples from within the Studio, even a real-life car of the model the customer is looking to buy will be shown, while the consultant has a camera to show details of whichever item the customer has questions about. After the meeting, the customer will be sent an entire set of renderings of his/her bespoke Lamborghini, sometimes even accompanied by material samples.

To celebrate this new Ad Personam possibility Lamborghini announced the Avenador SVJ Xago special edition, as already mentioned, only 10 will be made, and this Ad Personam special will only be available to customers that specify their new SVJ virtually through this new option.

Special for the Xago Edition are the silver hexagon fading effects on the outside of the Aventador SVJ, to celebrate the famous ‘hexagonita’ style in Lamborghini design, a contrasting livery will be unique for the Xago edition while the interior receives a similar hexagon design on the seats and the same contrasting color as the outside livery. Every single one of the ten Aventador SVJ Xago editions will receive a numbered plate to identify this extremely limited edition model from Sant’Agata.

Lamborghini’s Ad Personam program was launched in 2013 but it would take until 2016 to put together a real Ad Personam Studio at the factory at this time over half of all Lamborghini cars built in Sant’Agata have one or more Ad Personam options, mainly for customers in the USA, Asia, and the UK.

You might also have seen the many renders I made on how I thought the Sian Roadster would look, and to be honest the actual production version does look very close indeed, and this didn’t come as a surprise: there is no roof on the Sian Roadster.

Just like the Aventador J, the Veneno Roadster and, the Centenario Roadster the latest limited edition, or few-off as Lamborghini calls it, doesn’t have any roof designed for it, this is open-top motoring at it’s finest, a true Barchetta from Sant’Agata and frankly, I like it a lot more than the coupe, but that might just be my love for convertibles in general.

Performance

To avoid turbulence at high speed, there are side windows on the Lamborghini Sian Roadster, and while they are full size at the front, they dip down considerably when they reach the end of the door, which naturally opens to the sky like all Lamborghini flagship V12 models, and the Sian, despite being a hybrid model, comes with the famous 6.5-liter V12 engine derived from the Aventador, power output is now up to 785 hp, add the 34 hp hybrid electric motor and the Sian Roadster puts down a total of 819 hp, the same as the coupe version by the way.

Top speed for this roofless supercar is over 350 km/h while acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is completed in less than 2.9 seconds, using the supercapacitor to store energy, the latter is charged every time the Sian Roadster brakes, the additional power is immediately available for increased torque at speeds over 130 km/h the electric motor does disconnect and the V12 flies solo the rest of the acceleration.

Lamborghini Sián Roadster Interior & Exterior Design

The exterior design is inspired by the Countach, a classic Lamborghini model, blending sharp lines and aerodynamic elegance to create an unmistakable silhouette. The body of the car is entirely composed of carbon fiber, contributing to its breath-taking appearance. Additionally, it features an electrochromic roof and moving surfaces controlled by smart materials, sculpted with innovative lines. The Sián Roadster was debuted in a color called Blu Uranus, which was specially selected by Lamborghini’s Centro Stile.

The interior design of the Sián Roadster is based on the Aventador’s interior, but it has been upgraded with several unique features. The interior makes use of sophisticated aluminum details painted in Oro Electrum (gold), a color Lamborghini has chosen to identify its hybrid cars. The Sián’s interior also introduces a new vertical touchscreen, which is set above the center console. Additionally, the center console has been tidied up and features a portrait touchscreen first seen in the Huracán Evo. The interior also sees the use of 3D printed parts for the first time, and the leather upholstery has been done by Poltrona Frau, a renowned Italian furniture company.

Price

Rumor has it the Lamborghini Sian FKP37 and this new Sian Roadster are both listed at an MSRP of $3,600,000 to $3,700,000 same price for the coupe and roadster, and while they will build 63 coupes, production on the Roadster is limited to only 19 units both production numbers adding up to 1963, the year the company was founded the official press release states all 19 are already sold.

While most of us will never be able to buy one of these Lamborghini Sian Roadsters, this doesn’t mean you can’t have fun to create your bespoke one virtually in our new LamboCONFIG configurator.

Today Mansory can customize just about any make, and create automotive dreams for their high-worth customers, modifying cars from Ferrari, McLaren, Range Rover, Lotus, BMW, Mercedes … and let’s not forget our pride and joy … Lamborghini.

Only one year after the introduction of the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 at the 2011 Geneva show, Mansory was the first to show a complete tuning package for the new V12 flagship from Sant’Agata, while the Italian automaker showed the Aventador J on their stand, Mansory had their first Raging Bull on display simply called the Mansory Aventador finished in a similar-looking dark red metallic shade.

One year later, at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, this German car manufacturer (they are an official car maker) came up with their first complete car conversion, taking the Aventador and installing a completely in-house made clear carbon fiber body over it … and add a few turbochargers to the engine while creating a totally custom interior … the Mansory Carbonado LP1250 was presented.

Only 6 of these Carbonado LP1250 would be built, priced at €900,000 each (which is less than one-third of the price of the Lamborghini Veneno presented at the same Geneva show), and just in case you prefer going topless, Mansory released the Apertos on the IAA show in Frankfurt later that year which is considered to be the roadster version of the Carbonado, but only three of these open-top versions would be made, at €1,200,000 … in case you’re wondering.

And things got even better … to keep improving and creating new and interesting cars for their customers, Mansory showed the Carbonado GT Stealth Edition at the 2014 GMS, this time partly painted and with an engine that delivers no less than 1,600 hp !

In 2020 Mansory is celebrating its 30th anniversary, so they created something really special using the current V12 flagship model from Sant’Agata as a basis … the Mansory Cabrera, a coupe which will be built only 3 times, one car for each decade of existence of the company.

Next to Muira and Gallardo, the Cabrera is another very important breed of bulls, a name that was rumored to be used for the Gallardo successor in fact, until they went with Huracán in Italy, leaving Mansory to claim the Cabrera name for their celebration model.

As usual, Mansory replaced just about every outside panel on the base car with their own, in-house made carbon fiber panels, and naturally with a different design to create an even more aggressively styled car in the end. Especially at the front, we see an important difference … Mansory replaces the original headlights with a design of their own, featuring four individual LED lights exclusively developed that resemble the ‘Le Mansory’ … they totally change the appearance of this super sport car.

Besides looks, the engine has been taken apart and rebuilt by Mansory, no turbocharging this time it seems as they claim a power output of 810 hp (780 Nm) in the press release … but just look at how the thundering sound is released onto the world … by a quartet of round exhausts mounted even higher up, between the taillights, above a newly designed rear diffuser.

Mansory offers a choice of wheels for their Cabrera, on one side Veneno Raze 7 style wheel while on the other side a set of forged light-alloy wheels in a 5 spoke Y design, 9×20 inch at the front and 13×21 inch at the rear with Pirelli P Zero tires 255/30SR20 and 355/25ZR21 respectively … naturally with a central-locking bolt in both cases.

We wouldn’t be looking at a complete Mansory conversion without a stunning interior, in case of the Cabrera, we find black Alcantara combined with lots of bespoke carbon fiber in their typical B2 Bomber look and Vento Verde (green) details color-coded to the exterior finish of this carbon fiber show car.

If Mansory will also be building a Cabrera Apertos, a Roadster version isn’t mentioned yet, but if there is a demand from customers, I’m sure Kourosh Mansory will be happy to comply.

So if you managed to get hold of an allocation for this amazing car, and the factory official Ad Personam bespoke options didn’t quite satisfy your appetite for having a ‘different’ car than your neighbor (there are places where the neighbors also own one or more Lamborghinis) you might have to turn to a tuner … and why not take a look at what Novitec has to offer in their Torado range for the Raging Bull models.

For the Aventador SVJ the catalog from Novitec might not be as custom as others, but keep in mind these are bespoke, high-end aerodynamic options that modify the original car just enough to stand out to those that know what they are looking at, and Novitec has been offering parts for the Aventador, the Aventador SV and the Aventador S already, both in Coupe and Roadster form, so the latest SVJ couldn’t be left out.

The Novitec demo car for the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ is finished in the stunning green metallic and comes with various clear carbon fiber extras, like the renowned front luggage compartment cover with the integrated air ducts, or the larger fins to be used on the vents in front of the windshield, the bigger intakes behind the side windows, and the stunning, vented fixed intakes next to the engine cover … all available in clear carbon fiber.

And what about these other touches of carbon fiber … a front spoiler lip to be mounted underneath the original bumper, or fins to be fitted on the top of the bumper where the SVJ has a pair of air vents, and a similar pair of fins can be glued on the air vents behind the engine cover while an impressive ‘tunnel’ is available to direct air into the centre mounted air intake on the bottom of the rear wing … naturally, a pair of carbon fiber side sills complete the aerodynamic kit from Novitec for the SVJ.

Novitec already offered a set of NL4 Forged Wheels for the Aventador Superveloce, now these Vossen made wheels are also available for the Aventador SVJ, 9×20 up front and 12×21 inch at the rear with Pirelli P-Zero 255/30 R20 and 355/25 R31 respectively … available in 72 different shades and finishes, whatever the customer prefers.

A set of lowering springs is available from Novitec too, these will put the Aventador SVJ about 35mm closer to the road while different exhausts are available to make the SVJ even louder, but more importantly, you can also lower the weight by 19kg compared to the original exhaust system.

The Aventador Superveloce was limited to 600 units, but the SV Roadster would be even rarer with only 500 units then things changed when the Aventador S was released in 2017 as the facelift of the original 2011 model, and while in the Murciélago line-up the SV was the ultimate edition, for the Aventador range Lamborghini took a different route with the Aventador S being the new ‘base’ car it was just a matter of time before Lamborghini would take this one to the next level so they took the SV and created an even more intimidating model by adding the Jota suffix the Aventador SVJ was born in mid-2018.

It is clear the Aventador SVJ was an evolution of the SV, taking the improvements of the Aventador S and implementing them onto the Aventador SV to create an even more race-oriented edition, for the SVJ Coupe they would build 900 units, but once again the SVJ Roadster would be made rarer by building only 800 units a little more than the Aventador SV, but back in 2015 the available cars sold out very quickly and the SVJ followed the same path all 1,500 units sold out quickly too.

Performance

All those things that made the Aventador SVJ special, like the four-wheel steering and the innovative ALA 2.0 were now available in Roadster form, and let’s not forget the Aventador SVJ coupé took the record at the Nürburgring in Germany for the fastest production model, naturally the Roadster would be a little slower because it’s 50kg heavier, but rest assured this is still an extremely fast car to drive, either with or without the carbon fiber roof panels in place.

Power comes from the world-famous, naturally aspirated V12 engine pumping out 770 hp at 8,50 rpm, this results in acceleration figures of only 2.9 seconds to 100 km/h and a top speed well over 350 Km/h, add the ALA with it’s electronic motors in the front spoiler and rear wing, and you get a very stable, high-performance supercar made in Sant’Agata, the official press release even states: ‘Airflow over the roof is uninterrupted whether roof is on or off, and the overall result is an improvement by 40% of the total downforce compared to the Aventador SV Roadster version.’ once again emphasising this SVJ Roadster is the heir to the SV Roadster.

Interior

Price

It would take until the Summer of 2019 before the first customer cars of the Aventador SVJ Roadster would be delivered, and at a price of €387,000 (or US$ 573,966) this car sure isn’t cheap, but most available on the market are being listed at a premium remember all 800 units were sold out quickly, so prices soon rose about MSRP.

We all heard the rumors about the LB48H, a highly limited, Aventador based hybrid supercar made in Sant’Agata, taking inspiration from the fully electric Terzo Millennio combined with some of the more classic models in the history of Automobili Lamborghini SpA like the Countach for instance, and while this new car isn’t the first hybrid Lamborghini, that honor went to the Asterion, this is the first hybrid Lamborghini available for customers.

Performance

The Lamborghini Sián, a name taken from the local dialect in Sant’Agata that translates to ‘lightning’, comes with the well-known V12 engine coupled to a supercapacitor a first in the world of hybrid cars, this puts down a total power output of 819hp, the most ever in a Lamborghini production car 0 to 100 Km/h is accomplished in only 2.8 seconds and the top speed of the Sián is well over 350 Km/h.

The e-motor is incorporated into the gearbox, making it the first time a hybrid has a direct connection between the motor and the wheels this allows for low-speed maneuvers and parking on electric power only. Because the added power is 34 hp and the total weight of the supercapacitor and motor is also 34 kg, this is a perfect power to weight ratio of 1 Kg/hp.

On the Sián the Aventador derived V12 engine has been taken up to 785 hp, together with the 34 hp from the e-motor this results in a better power to weight ratio of the Sián compared to the already impressive Aventador SVJ note that the electric motor does disconnect above 130 Km/h.

Lamborghini Sián Interior & Exterior

The Lamborghini Sián had to be built around the Aventador central hub, but in this case the entire body has been radically redesigned up front we get a big overhang with lots of carbon fiber parts and the very special Y shaped driving lights seen on the Terzo Millennio concept, the actual headlights are housed in the vertical running carbon fiber insets between the front hood and the fenders.

Speaking about the front hood, note how the central part runs into an air intake in front of the windshield, a design element taken from the actual Lamborghini Countach prototype from the Seventies another clue taken from that same car is the roof design. Remember the Periscopio on the early Countach models, an opening in the roof that allowed the interior rearview mirror to be used through that design element inspired a glass section in the center of the roof on the Siän, running into the engine cover and this glass can be turned opaque by the touch of a button inside the Sián.

At the rear of the Lamborghini Sián we discover a set of four slats, these are adjustable cooling vents in fact, but there is no motor to open and close these in fact they are activated by thermal springs once the temperature inside the engine bay gets too high these vents are automatically opened, as if by magic only to close again when the engine cools down enough that is a very nice detail on the Sián, and it saves weight on motors and electronics.

In total, only 63 units of the Lamborghini Sián will be built in Sant’Agata, and every single one will be created for its lucky owner by the Centro Stile together with the Ad Personam studio no two Sián will be identical, every one of these 63 cars will be a unique, bespoke build the show car is finished in Verde Gea, a satin metallic green shade, combined with Oro Electrum a special multilayer paint that actually contains gold flakes and crystals.

On the inside, we encounter another custom touch a brown leather that is called ‘Terra di Sant’Agata Bolognese’, and for the first time on a production Lamborghini the interior holds 3D printed parts, like the air vents on the dashboard for instance, but also a stunning, clear carbon fiber central console where the start button is hiding underneath a gold-painted cover and the dashboard pod gets a new top design, also finished in clear carbon fiber.

The seats on the show car are the lightweight carbon fiber seats seen inside the Centenario, but now with a different stitching pattern, also the door panels show a new design while the central console shows a ’00 di 63′ plaque on the actual customer cars this will show ‘1 di 63’ I’ve been told, the cars will not be individually numbered.

On the Lamborghini Sián, the design was meant to be as clean as possible, no massive wings or canards, the only omission to this are the two vertical fins at the rear, finished in clear carbon fiber and proudly showing the 63 digits to celebrate the founding of Automoili Lamborghini Spa in 1963 but when the flush mounted rear wing comes into action it raises up to become an integral parts of these fins, the top of the rear wing sits flush with the top of these fins when raised, a very nice look indeed.

Price

There is no need to rush to your local Lamborghini dealership to order one of the 63 Sián they were all sold out a long time ago, in fact later on the day of the press conference at the 2019 IAA in Frankfurt, all 63 owners were invited to a private party by Lamborghini to enjoy the new car they will be adding to their collection in the near future but fear not, it seems Lamborghini will be creating a Sián Roadster too, and from what I have heard, the customers that ordered the Coupe are not eligible to order a Roadster, so you might be in luck and be able to get the first hybrid Lamborghini Roadster ever, just expect a steep premium over the price of the Coupe to have no roof.

By the way, if you would like to get a Sián finished in clear carbon fiber, like the Centenario for instance, you might have to swallow the €500,000 price for this option or you can opt for colored carbon fiber, Lamborghini offers the option to have parts on the Sián finished in a carbon fiber shade that matches, or contrasts with the painted parts of the body. the possibilities are endless, and the Centro Stile together with Ad Personam will sit down with the owner to decide just how bespoke their Sián will be.

On the Aventador SVJ 63 Roadster the Lamborghini Centro Stile design worked together with the Ad Personam department to create eight exclusive designs only available on the Aventador SVJ 63 Roadster, using either matt or shiny carbon fiber on the roof, engine cover, intakes, window trim and rearview mirrors, while the Leirion wheels get a matt titanium finish.

For the interior we get a pair of lightweight carbon fiber seats covered in Alcantara while a massive ’63’ logo is fitted to the section between the seats, a special badge on the steering wheel clearly identifies this car as one of only 63 special edition models, using the patented CarbonSkin throughout the interior.

Exterior finish on the Pebble Beach show car is Grigio Acheso (matt grey) combined with Arancio Dac for the SVJ logo and 63 badges, the Leirion wheels get a color-matched orange center lock while the interior is finished in Grigio Octans, Grigio Cronus, and Arancio Dryope, the seats get a Bianco cross-stitch.

The Aventador SVJ 63 Roadster still pumps out 770 hp from the big V12 with 720 Nm of torque, reaching 100km/h from a standstill takes only 2.9 seconds while 200 km/h is reached in 8.8 seconds, top speed is over 350 Km/h.

As I already mentioned, all 63 units of the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ 63 Roadster are already sold, customers will take delivery of their cars in 2020.

Taking a Grigio Titans Lamborghini Aventador S as a base, Onyx Concept turns her into an Aventador SX with a price tag of £499,950 (that’s €560,745 or US$ 634,522 at the time of writing) by adding a lot of lightweight carbon fiber parts, both on the outside … and on the inside.

This specific car is currently listed for sale on the Onyx Concept website, it’s a 2018 Aventador S with some interesting factory options, like the Carbon Drivers Pack, Carbon console, branding package, Sensonum upgrade, Sportivo Alcantara interior with matching Alcantara steering wheel, Carbon interior package, and the travel package … but Onyx Concept added a lot more to create their Aventador SX, which is listed as a Limited Edition, but I can’t seem to locate any production numbers on their website.

The entire front bumper is replaced by Onyx Concept as the Carbon SX, also a Super SX Vented Carbon bonnet (the front hood), add the visible carbon lower and side front aero sils and similar Shark lower side skirts … probably the most impressive item is the carbon fiber rear bumper top 8 piece vent with billet mesh, visible carbon exhaust surround and aero undertray.

Carbon SX engine cover with central, vented and laser etched dual rear bay windows and the carbon SX rear wing with bespoke Onyx billet forged supports above an SX Titanium sport exhaust while this car rides on Onyx SX Rose F1 forged wheels.

The new front hood with the additional vents does remind us of the Veneno and the Centenario units, and this theme continues at the rear … take a closer look at that rear diffuser … it surely was inspired by the controversial Centenario unit while the open section above the exhaust looks close to the one seen on the Veneno.

I also like the small, vertical fins on the engine cover, on this Aventador SX it shows ’01’, and these look like the ones with ’63’ on them found on the Terzo Millennio … it seems Onyx took a long and hard look at some of the recent Lamborghini concept cars and limited edition models and came up with their interpretation for the current Lamborghini Aventador S … and it doesn’t look too bad if you ask me.

Up front you can order a new fin to fit under the original bumper, strange thing is that on their press site Mansory shows a different design compared to their public gallery, I guess you can go for a more subtle look with small vertical fins or the more aggressive look with large side fins on the front bumper.

On the side, we find a pair of nicely styled lower sills, complete with vertical stabilizing fins that take us around to the back of the Aventador S where the entire lower diffuser is now made from lightweight autoclave carbon fiber, which does look really nice against this Grigio Titans, mat finish grey.

An impressive, very angular styled rear wing adorns the Mansory Aventador S, and the carbon fiber add-ons aren’t done yet … those fixed side intakes next to the engine cover come finished in this amazing material too, just like the air vents at the rear below the taillights, but also the intakes in the front bumper get the cf treatment, and that’s not all … on this specific Aventador S Mansory shows a Forged Composite pattern in their carbon fiber, but Mansory has 15 different cf weaves available for the customer to choose from.

This show car comes complete with massive ‘Carbonado-V’ wheels, center locking lightweight rims that remind us of the Veneno wheels, the front comes in at 9×20 inch while the rear receives 13×21 inch wheels, Pirelli P ZERO 255/30 ZR20 and 355/25 ZR21 are fitted respectively to the front and rear.

If the exterior of a Mansory Aventador S might not look all that impressive compared to their more aggressive Carbonado and Apertos models, keep in mind Mansory has some of the best interior upholsterers in the business … you might not like all the custom interiors Mansory has shown us over the years, but you’ll have to agree they show tremendous workmanship nonetheless.

Wataru Kato started Liberty Walk back in 1993 at the age of 25 in Nagoya, Japan so he could build cars in the Bosozoku style … lowered to the max, modified bodies with large fender flares rivetted to the body and usually a pair of tall exhaust pipes … usually onto a Skyline at that time … but time progressed, and after an impressive Lamborghini project his wide body kits for the Nissan GT-R and BMW M3 finally become known worldwide … and success was guaranteed from then on.

Now cars like the Ferrari 458 SEMA and the Huracan LB-Works are famous around the world, and while Liberty Walk offers more sensible aero kits for the Lamborghini Aventador too (even the new Aventador S) the most impressive ones are surely the LB-Works evolutions for the Huracan and the Aventador.

To celebrate his 50th anniversary, Wataru Kato created an evolution of his LB-Works Aventador, now called the Limited Edition, only 50 will be made for the entire world, 30 of those are destined for Japanese customers while 20 will go overseas … at nearly US$60,000 each when you opt for lightweight carbon fiber.

The LB-Works Lamborghini Aventador Limited Edition is a very extensive aerodynamic kit for the current V12 flagship from Sant’Agata … up front we start with a completely new bumper that comes with a deep, version 3 lower splitter, race inspired canards on the sides and a pair of vertical fins for stability.

These vertical fins are also present just ahead of the rear wheels while a set of side sills connect front to rear, where a massive new rear diffuser takes over from the factory original one, a new v3 rear wing is part of the kit and comes in a stunning clear carbon fiber on the show car in Geneva, and that same material is also visible on the new, very aggressively styled front hood complete with two large air vents.

Naturally, the most impressive feature of this Limited Edition kit from LB-Works are the four massive wheel arch extensions, showing their rivets with proud to cover some massively wide Forgiato wheels with Pirelli P Zero tires. Do note that the Airrex air ride suspension is a $9,500 option on top of the kit price.

Remember seeing the first video when Kato-San took a cutter to those expensive fenders of a pristine, factory fresh, $400,000 Lamborghini Aventador … that was terrifying … but today you can opt for a ‘Fender replacement kit’ that comes with those four extensions already fitted onto fenders that just replace the original ones … you will have to add $3,420 to the overall price for those.

With an aggressive look like this you will have to make a sound that matches, so Kato-San proposes an FI Exhaust system that really looks like a work of art, almost too good looking to hide underneath that widebody Aventador, but the resulting soundtrack will soon make you forget the price at a steep $12,000.

The car shown at the 2018 Geneva Auto Show was number 22/50, and we’ve seen several different cars being published online already, so just how many units still remain for this LB-Works Aventador Limited Edition isn’t known, but if you are interested in getting this kit installed on your own Aventador I would get in touch with Liberty Walk quickly.

So the Aventador SVJ has become a limited edition model after all, there was  rumor they would build as much as were ordered (similar to the Huracan Performante), but the press release now states only 900 will be built in coupé form (there is a Roadster still to be unveiled later on, probably with similar production numbers) oh wait, there will also be 63 additional special edition SVJ built, called the SVJ63 in celebration to the year Lamborghini was founded, 1963.

Performance

While the Aventador SV was based on the LP700-4 edition, this new SVJ is based on the Aventador S, so there are a few updates like the rear wheel steering system for instance, but also a power increase of 20hp up to a total of 770hp at 8,50 rpm for the SVJ, so you could call it the Aventador LP770-4 SVJ, but Lamborghini is no longer using this type of denomination for their models today.

The Aventador SVJ will most likely become the last naturally aspirated V12 powered car to be built in Sant’Agata, the successor has been confirmed to be a hybrid, so the Super Veloce Jota will become a very important car in the future, this is an instant collectible and the figures aren’t bad either.

With 770 hp at 8,500 rpm and a torque value of 720Nm at 6,750 rpm to propel a dry weight of 1,525 kg (the same weight as the Aventador SV) to a maximum top speed of over 350 km/h, acceleration figures of 2.8 seconds to 100 km/h from a standstill and a mere 8.6 seconds to reach 200 km/h the Aventador SVJ boasts an impressive power to weight ratio of  0.50 hp/kg.

And while numbers do show the potential of the new Aventador SVJ, which set a new world record for production cars on the famous Nürurgring-Nordschleife track in Germany at 6:44.97 minutes, this SVJ was also developed into a true driver’s car, not just a track weapon for the weekend.

Aventador SVJ Interior & Exterior Design

The Aventador SVJ is a showcase of new technology and aerodynamics the SVJ comes with ALA 2.0, the now-famous Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva system first seen on the Huracan Performante, again flaps in the front bumper and inside the new rear wing control the air flow as needed for any specific situation, both on the road and on the track.

The rear wing has a central air intake, but internally there are two separate ducts that can be opened and closed independently, so in a high-speed curve the system can put more downforce on one wheel and release downforce on the opposite one the entire underbody of the SVJ has been specifically designed for this purpose.

Compared to the Aventador SV, the SVJ comes with a 40% increase in downforce while drag is 1% less thanks to the redesigned aerodynamics on the upper body of the SVJ, Lamborghini achieved a 70% increase over the SV the ALA system will keep all flaps closed for the maximum downforce in corners, but for acceleration and to reach top speed the flaps are opened for less drag.

The massive rear wing on the Aventador SVJ comes with vertical side fins for maximum stability, combined with vertical fins on the front bumper this keeps the car stable at all speeds, on the side of the SVJ the new sills also show an innovative Y shape on the enlarged intakes while the massive rear diffuser boasts several vertical stabilization fins too while two massive exhaust pipes are mounted higher up at the rear, closer to the engine, thus lowering the weight compared to the older, four tip exhausts.

With a large rear wing featuring a new aerofoil, the new engine cover comes with a look-through window showing the bronze manifolds on top of the V12, and large vents to keep the engine cool, do note this carbon fiber engine cover now comes with quick release fasteners inspired by the race track.

The engine has been modified with titanium intake valves, newly shaped intake runners and length,  and a modified intake cylinder head duct for higher flow coefficient, the exhaust has less backpressure and the 7-speed ISR gearbox has been optimized to cope the increase in power and torque.

A stiffer suspension together with LRS (rear-wheel steering) and a reconfiguration of the power steering system, Lamborghini Dynamic Steering (LDS) allows for a 3% increase of torque to be sent to the rear wheels .. .because of this Pirelli was asked to develop new tires for the Aventador SVJ with stiffer sidewalls, standard fitment are Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires, while the track oriented P Zero Trofeo R tires are optionally available.

Navigation systems and the infotainment are an option on the Aventador SVJ, depending on the customer wishes to get a street-legal track car with the least amount of weight, or if they prefer some more creature comforts they can even opt for the electrical comfort seats to replace the lightweight carbon fiber seats, due to the limited view through the new engine cover you can even opt to drop the interior rearview mirror and go for a rear view camera system instead.

As of 2018, the order book on the Aventador SVJ has filled up very quickly, and rumor has it all 900 units are already sold out, priced at €350,000 in Europe and $518,000 in the USA, before taxes and options, the Aventador SVJ price can quickly raise a lot higher when you opt for the limitless Ad Personam personalization possibilities.

This new kit is also available in dry carbon fiber, a first for LB-Performance, pricing has been set at $17,400 for the entire kit in FRP, while the dry carbon fiber version is listed at $28,850 (prices correct at the time of writing)

The complete Aventador S kit contains a very nice front diffuser that is fitted underneath the standard bumper, complete with two vertical fins on the side, an impressive side sill … again with a vertical fin in front of the rear wheels, for stabilization, and an aggressively styled rear lower diffuser, which also seems to be installed onto the standard bumper and still uses the original exhaust tip.

The massive rear wing is a ‘hanging’ style design, something we’ve seen on the Aventador SV already, but the LB-Performance unit shows more resemblance with the Super Trofeo unit with larger vertical struts.

Naturally, the rendered version is showing an Airrex suspension, Kato-San likes his cars to be very low to the street, and this Aventador S is no exception, a set of center lock cross-spoke wheels complete the look.

But the render also shows a few items that are not (yet) listed on the price list from LB-Performance … check out the vents in front of the rear wheels, they are finished in carbon fiber too … and more importantly, the impressive front hood we’ve seen on the LB-Works Aventador Limited with the integrated air vents is also fitted onto this Aventador S … so we might be seeing this offered as an option soon.

But it is not all looks when it comes to the Novitec Torado Aventador S … by using a lightweight, Inconel exhaust system (21 kg lighter than the factory original unit) the total power output is raised to 763hp with torque bumped to 732Nm. The Aventador S received a newly styled exhaust from the factory compared to the original LP700-4 model, but Novitec decided to change it again, into a kind of ‘3 and a half’ model … the two center pipes are joined together giving a rather innovative look to the exhaust tips.

Note that Novitec also offeres a ‘flap’ system for their exhausts, with or without remote control … this system allows you to ‘open’ a valve on the exaust system to unleash the entire symphony of those 12 cylinders behind your head … a deep, thundering sound that might not be welcomed by your neighbours at five in the morning … if you really want to save weight you can even remove the original cats with either special 100 Zeller catalysts or even lighter straight pipes.

When it comes to wheels, Novitec teamed up with Vossen to create a stunning set of NL3 forged wheels, 9×20 inch with 255/30 R20 Pirelli P-Zero up front and massive 13×21 inch with 355/25 R21 Pirelli P-Zero at the rear for that wedge look … but take a look at this … if your Aventador S came with the standard five bolt wheels you can mount these NL3 wheels with a center cover that mimics the central lock look … however if you did get the optional Dianthus wheels from the factory, with central locking screw … you can have these same wheels with center lock too … and even if you didn’t order them from the factory, Novitec can retrofit a central locking wheel mechanism to you Aventador.

Naturally a set of amazing wheels like this can be coupled to a lowered suspension for the Aventador S, a set of springs will bring the Bull about 30mm closer to the road, but you can also opt for an adjustable suspension kit including dual adjustable aluminum shock absorbers with separated expansion reservoir in the damper, both compression and rebound are adjustable at the front and rear.

The most eye-catching from Novitec on the Aventador S is naturally that amazing looking aero kit, available in either visible carbon fiber or smooth, paintable finish, whichever you prefer.

Let’s start with the well known front hood, Novitec has been offering a replacement for the luggage cover from the start, complete with integrated ducts, but Novitec now also replaces the vents just ahead of the windshield with larger units, when finished in carbon fiber you just have to add those exterior mirror covers too to complete the look.

Add the carbon fiber intakes behind the side windows and those stylish units on the shoulder to really have a different looking Aventador, especially when combined on a light bodywork for higher contrast, and while you’re at it, adding a pair of air intakes on the engine cover is the final touch on the Coupe, in case of the Roadster you’ll have to order the bespoke ones for that model …

The massive, double rear wing, stunning side sills, low front spoiler lip, side fins and ‘fang’ covers up front make up the rest of the exterior kit, add a fin to the rear bumper and a set of vertical fins for the rear, lower diffuser and you’ll have a very aggressive, but still stylish looking Novitec Torado Aventador S.

If you want even more exposed carbon fiber on you Aventador, you can always go for the interior updates Novitec has listed … just to make sure the outside matches the inside of your Raging Bull.

Can this car be the new reference and beat their own in-house benchmark once more? It likely seems so, but judge for yourself. Developed in partnership with Creative Bespoke USA, Fie Exhaust, and Forgiato Wheels, the car is as nuts as one can imagine.

It’s a continued improvement over DMC’s E-GT, which is a green card for their engineers to make the best products possible, without concerning market boundaries. The minimum principles that DMC starts playing around with, are FIA Regulations!

How much will it set you back? The whole package starts at around 88,880 USD and goes up from there. They say the sky is the Limit, and that seems to work just fine here as well, with options that can quickly reach the 300K USD mark. But then, there are only 3 of these engineering wonders to be made, how ultra-exclusive do you want to be?

The majority of the funds go into the CB engine upgrade, Forgiato wheels, a new Fie exhaust and the DMC Body Kit. The latter one starts off by completely replacing the standard Lamborghini body with newly designed carbon fiber parts: Front and Rear bumper have to go, new ones come in with a swift.

The engine bonnet includes a motor cooling air-scoop, the sides add downforce and F1 canards improve the overall aerodynamics. Until we come to the most prominent part of this kit, the massive GT Wing Spoiler. It can be set into 3 different angles for City, Corsa and Crazy mode.

In the end, you get a car that seems to be out of this world, and honestly spoken – it really looks a bit like a spaceship. DMC’s CEO told us that his design influences come from watching Japanese cartoons when he was a young kid – Captain Future and Gundam in particular. No wonder his creations wear an aggressive and sporty line, especially popular in Asia and the Middle-East.

Honestly, we have never seen so much Carbon fiber on a Lamborghini before, but we guess there’s no such thing as TOO MUCH when it comes to light-weight composites and super-cars, do you agree? The package is completed with a full array of tunnels, flaps and diffusers, all located on the parts mentioned above, truly making the car stand out uniquely in its future home.

That is if you can get one: DMC informs us that the package is a LIMITED EDITION, that can’t be purchased by simply offering money. Potential buyers have to apply before being able to buy: Each of the 3 units is strictly limited to only one (1!) color and/or style, making every one of them unique.

DMC won’t sell the same color twice, so you would either need to change or discuss a special design pattern with the German engineers.

While DMC’s previous engine modifications were achieved through individual intake throttle plates for each of the 12 cylinders, new fuel pumps, fuel lines, modulators and injection nozzles, the LP988 has been subject to a TWIN-TURBO procedure in combination with a reprogrammed ECU.

A set of forged alloy wheels and a new kit of suspensions keep the beat on the road, but let’s not forget that the aero parts were initially developed to cope with the stronger car performance.

It’s worthwhile to mention that DMC guarantees again no visible damage by using their components, the car can be, at any time, be returned to the OEM look, which can be useful. Owners may keep the stock bumpers and they can be put back on the car if needed.

The package is finalized with exclusive interior refinements using Italian fine leathers and carbon finer. Plenty of buttons and trims are available as a small package, a redesigned steering wheel adds on to complete a medium package or the whole interior can be redone for the VIP package.

Small and Medium Projects can be done remotely, but the car needs to be shipped to Germany if a whole interior make-over is requested.

The roof panels come in a satin finish carbon fiber as standard at a total of only 6kg, on this press car these panels are finished in a glossy carbon fiber, just like the windshield surround, the exterior rear view mirrors and the lower aero parts up front, on the side and at the rear also note this car is finished in Ad Personam Blu Aegir over a Bianco Polar interior with S-trim in Blu Delphinus even the carpets combine white and blue to offer a perfect finish with the carbon fiber interior package.

The inside of the roof panels on the Roadster are finished in Alcantara, but optionally you can get them in lightweight Carbon Skin, the interior will also receive parts in this high-tech material too if you opt for this package.

The Aventador S Roadster comes with the special four-wheel steering as seen on the Coupe, active suspension and the EGO driving mode, updated push-rod suspension offers better vertical control while LDS (Lamborghini Dynamic Steering gives better feedback the new design of the Aventador S Roadster improves front downforce by 130% while the active rear wing achieves more than 50% of overall efficiency at high downforce and a massive 400% in low drag.

Performance figures are very impressive for a Roadster, the top speed has been maintained from the Coupe at 350Km/h while the Roadster does add 50kg to the scales compared to her closed counterpart, 740hp will propel this Bull to 100Km/h from standstill in 3 seconds flat.

I am sure there are already orders in the books for the Aventador S Roadster, priced at €313,666 (£251,462 or US$460,247) before taxes, the Roadster is about €30,000 (£25,000 or US$40,000) more expensive than the Coupe model but somehow I don’t think that will keep buyers from adding even more to the base price in options and Ad Personam customization note that the Dione wheels are standard, so the silver Dianthus seen on this show car are already a hefty premium.

At first glance, you will immediately notice the new design of the front and rear sections on the Aventador S, but the sides have also been modified while keeping the profile look unmistakenly an Aventador, the rear wheel arches remind us of the legendary Countach now.

The front bumper houses two vertical intakes that create an improved aerodynamic flow around the front wheel onto the large, side air intake. Note the color coded ‘fangs’ hanging from the top while the lower fin raises in the middle of the bumper making the Aventador S look very intimidating from the front.

At the rear, a different lower diffuser directs air flow better by using vertical fins, a centrally mounted, triangular exhaust tip and black rear fascia between the taillights complete the new look. The rear wing raises in three different angles depending on speed and drive mode.

The Lamborghini Aventador S is the first production model from Sant’Agata to feature four-wheel steering, up front combined with LDS (Lamborghini Dynamic Steering) while at the rear it is called LRS (Lamborghini Rear Steering). At low speed, this system virtually reduces the wheelbase while at higher speed the wheelbase appears longer for added stability.

The new Aventador S comes with the Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Attiva (LDVA) control unit. LDVA is the new brain of the car, receiving real-time data on body motion via input from sensors throughout the car, instantly defining the optimum setting of the active systems in order to guarantee the best vehicle dynamics in each and every condition.

We already knew the Anima switch on the steering wheel of the Huracan, now the Aventador S comes with Strada, Sport and Corsa too but adds EGO to this list, a setting that allows the driver the combine his personal settings taken from Strada, Sport and Corsa and create his own criteria for traction, steering and suspension settings.

In the Aventador S the famous V12 engine outputs 740hp now, up 40hp from the original LP700-4 unit, max rpm is raised to 8,500 and both VT and VIS have been reprogrammed to achieve this increase without increasing displacement.

Carbon Ceramic disk brakes are now standard while the Pirelli P Zero tires are modified to cope with the rear wheel steering system on the new Aventador S braking from a speed of 100km/h takes only 31 meters.

Inside the number of options and personalisation is nearly limitless by going through the Ad Personam program, AppleCarPlay is standard while the Lamborghini telemetry system is an option, do note that the LCD display in front of the driver has been restyled.

This is more than just a facelift of the by now nearly six-year-old Aventador LP700-4 design, the modifications on the outside have created a very aggressive, but stylish mix between the LP700-4 and the limited edition LP750-4 Superveloce model keeping in mind Lamborghini has dropped the LP designation on their models I guess the next step will be an Aventador S Roadster that will take this evolution into the convertible world.

In the teaser released earlier Lamborghini speaks about the ‘ultimate evolution’ of the Aventador, but somehow I think we’ll be seeing more limited edition V12 models based on this Aventador S how about an Aventador GT for instance, most likely a real replacement for the Aventador will be presented in four years or so, after a decade of Aventador I think 2021 will bring us the next step in the Lamborghini flagship history probably with even more power by using hybrid systems.

During 2016 the factory is celebrating the 50th Anniversary of this masterpiece, first with the Miura Tour, a 500km road trip in Italy arriving in Florence, and now with a very special, Ad Personam edition of the current V12 flagship the Aventador Miura Homage special edition.

The Miura was the first V12 supercar in the history of Lamborghini, so the Aventador is a direct descendant of this classic from the Sixties, the Aventador Miura Homage is a special edition created by the Ad Personam department at Sant’Agata, only 50 units will be built to celebrate the 50th birthday of the Miura, and all will come with bespoke details not available on the regular production Aventador.

As a base the LP700-4 model is taken, but in case of the Miura Homage the entire upper body is finished in the same shade, this means the black fins on the vents in front of the windshield and on the large side intakes are now color coded to the rest of the body, while the lower part of the front bumper and the side sills are available in either gold or satin silver as are the Dione wheels just like on the Miura back in the Sixties.

On the side sill the special Miura 50th logo is mounted while the Lamborghini script at the rear is now black instead of chrome, also the section between the vents at the back is finished in black as are the fins on the engine cover remember the louvers on the Miura, the Aventador Miura Homage mimics this look by not using glass fins on the engine cover.

Inside the Miura Homage you can get either Nero or Terra Emilia as the leather upholstery, both with tone-on-tone stitching. The amazing carbon fiber package is a standard fit on the Miura Homage edition while the seats show a ’50’ logo stitched in gold or silver, depending on the outside livery the Lamborghini script on the dashboard is also stitched on in this case.

A special plaque stating ‘Miura 50 Serie Speciale 1 di 50’ is fitted on the side of the dashboard clearly stating the limited edition nature of this V12 at the moment there is no official price released, but most likely there will be a premium over the regular Aventador LP700-4.

With the ‘regular’ Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 being in production since 2011 and the Aventador Roadster introduced in late 2012 and adding the fact well over 5,000 units have left the factory gates in Sant’Agata by now the odds of buying a second-hand Aventador for a decent price are getting better and better every day and Mansory has the perfect solution for those that like the special LP720-4 styling the Mansory Aventador Competition isn’t a perfect replica of the 50th Anniversary styling, but it did take some serious inspiration from that Lamborghini and added some Mansory flair onto it.

The Mansory Aventador Competition program offers a very extensive list of options to make your Lamborghini Aventador stand out from the crowd the possibilities are almost endless, and are probably only limited by your bank account.

Mansory doesn’t offer just one front bumper, they have two the Competition I unit is closely inspired by the LP720-4 front bumper but comes in carbon fiber, even the grilles in the intakes are made from carbon fiber note that Mansory delivers these without any clear coat, so you can choose for either a glossy or a satin top coat. If you really want to stand out you’ll go for the Competition II front bumper almost identical to the Competition I unit but now with two additional, vertical fins on either side that make it look even more aggressive.

Most tuners will offer a side sill for the Lamborghini Aventador that is fitted underneath the original unit not Mansory, they offer a complete replacement for the side section of the Aventador with a special fin built in and it comes in visible carbon fiber.

Probably one of the most expensive parts in the Mansory Competition kit is the rear bumper well it actually replaces the entire rear section below and between the taillights, it even comes with integrated parking sensors and can have an original exhaust fitted if the customer prefers it.

So front bumper, side sills, and rear bumper/diffuser are the base parts of the Mansory Competition for Aventador package and now the list of possible options only starts with a replacement front hood that has indents to mimic air vents either ready to paint or in visible carbon fiber. And the carbon fiber touch continues with rearview mirrors, air vents in front of the windshield, covers for the air intakes on the side, or a complete replacement intake for the side.

Visible carbon fiber on the adjustable air intakes behind the side window, an entire engine cover in carbon fiber, and small vents for the outlets ahead of the rear wheels even a complete carbon fiber roof cover are listed in the Mansory brochure.

For the rear wing, you have a few options too, the original Mansory Performance wing boasts an angular design, while the High-Performance rear wing took inspiration from the Murciélago Super Veloce if you like the original, adjustable rear wing on your Aventador Mansory is more than happy to replace it with a visible carbon fiber unit too, naturally a sport exhaust is possible too.
Just in case you own a Lamborghini Aventador Roadster doesn’t mean you can’t have some extra carbon fiber Mansory can put this material around the windshield for you, or on the section behind the seats, which is usually glossy black but it looks so much better in carbon fiber, just like the two roof panels Lamborghini offers these in clear carbon fiber too, but if you missed that option on your order, Mansory can do it for you too and while you’re at it you can have a replacement engine cover for the Roadster in carbon fiber too.

Under the engine cover, you can satisfy your carbon fiber dreams even more with an engine surround package containing five pieces, even the engine itself can receive some carbon fiber, just like the X-cross over the V12 opening the front hood and not seeing any carbon fiber can be remedied by Mansory too with a four-part kit.

Inside your Aventador the possibilities are endless too, Mansory can supply carbon fiber parts for just about any visible part, even the upper door panels and the rear of the seats add some custom floor mats and race pedals to really make a difference.
We all know Mansory from their total modification models like the Carbonado but this Aventador Competition shows that less is more sometimes this kit looks really nice and isn’t completely changing almost every panel on your Aventador with no way to return to factory specs with the Competition kit this shouldn’t be a problem.

The Aventador Superveloce is already a very initmidating car when she leaves the factory gates in Italy, but for those that want that little extra the Novitec Group created their Torado Aventador Superveloce package with carbon fiber aerodynamic parts, custom center lock wheels and in increase in power from 750hp to 786hp and 738 Nm of torque.

Up front Novitec adds two large, vertical fins to the sides of the bumper for added air flow, a larger center fin can also be added to the original bumper for better stability at speed, naturally the special front hood with the air intakes can also be added to the Superveloce model, together with those trademark Novitec side sills.

For the Coupé engine cover Novitec offers a pair of intakes that fit onto the original unit, these don’t fit the Roadster version, but here Novitec has a bespoke part with a similar look … just in case you don’t like the original rear wing on the Superveloce there is a replacement from Novitec that fits onto the original struts.

To finalize the exterior modifications a pair of air vents can be added to the engine cover, carbon fiber vents can be fitted in front of the windshield while the same material can be covering the exterior rear view mirrors and a modified air intake fin on the side of the Aventador that will pull more fresh air into those large intakes.

Novitec Torado also has a selection of exhaust systems to offer, from cat-replacement pipes (-7kg)  to sport metal catalysts (-5kg) to complete replacement of the original exhaust system, either in stainless steel (-12kg) or Inconel (-15kg) … also note that these Novitec exhausts come with custom made tips and an optional ‘flap’ regulation so you can keep the noise down while driving through town but still get the full symphony of that massive V12 on the highway … Novitec even has an ‘open’ race exhaust on offer … however I highly doubt that one is street legal, but it does weigh 21kg less than the original one.

For the Novitec Torado Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 Superveloce a partnership with Vossen was put together to create an exclusive rim … the NL3 aluminum wheel comes in 9×20 inch up front and 13×21 inch at the rear, Pirelli P-Zero 255/30 R20 and 355/25 R21 are fitted to these center lock units … in fact the original tire pressure system and locking bolts can be used. And just in case you didn’t order the Dianthus wheels on your Superveloce but went with the five bolt Dione units … Novitec offers a Central locking kit conversion.

The Lamborghini Aventador Superveloce is already a low car, but if you want to increase the risk of scraping that expensive front bumper you can always install a set of lowering springs on the original suspension or go for the adjustable, coil over suspension kit from Novitec/Kw … Novitec even has 11mm spacers listed for the Superveloce, not legal in all countries, but still very nice anyway.

Novitec Torado Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 Superveloce is available for both the Coupé and the Roadster version of the V12 flagship model, the exterior parts are made from carbon fiber and come in a satin finish to complement the visible carbon fiber on the Superveloce … and it looks great.

Check out the DMC Aventador LP988-4 Edizione GT Nero on this page, a black Aventador with the complete E-GT aerodynamic kit from DMC, in case you are wondering where the LP988-4 name came from … DMC is able to uprate the original LP700-4 V12 engine from the factory original Aventador to a massive 988 hp while retaining the four-wheel drive and 7 speed gearbox.

This black DMC Aventador E-GT was located in Beijing, China when these photos were taken, which might explain why the standard wheels are still on her, might be because the owner could travel on less than perfect roads, making massive 20 and 21 inch wheel not the best idea … both for comfort and for keeping the wheels from getting ruined from potholes and sidewalks.

Other than that this car does feature the complete DMC E-GT kit, from the impressive Veneno inspired front bumper over the beautiful side sills onto that magnificent rear diffuser with the vertical fins and naturally that massive race inspired, adjustable rear wing … and let’s not forget the absolutely breathtaking new engine cover from DMC … a work of art in itself.

This Aventador is finished in black, most likely Nero Aldebaran while the visible carbon fiber from the DMC E-GT kit gets a great looking high gloss finish … most of the time I’m a big fan of matte carbon fiber, but on this car the glossy CF just looks perfect … not overdone, but in a neat balance with the glossy black bodywork … add the black Iperione wheels over black brake calipers and you end up with a mean looking DMC Aventador LP988-4 Edizione GT Nero.

Lamborghini limited the production numbers on the Aventador Superveloce at 600 units, and perhaps it came as a surprise, but all 600 units sold out in a matter of months, which might have helped the marketing department at Sant’Agata to give their go-ahead for the production of the Roadster version but again in limited numbers only 500 SV Roadsters are available for customers at a base price of €357,000 (us $530,075).

The engine for the Aventador LP750-4 SV Roadster is the same as the one used in the Coupé version, the V12 with 6.5 Liter displacement and a power output of 750 hp (552 kW) at 8,400 rpm on all four wheels with a quoted top speed ‘over’ 350 km/h or 217 Mph acceleration from 0 to 100 Km/h takes 2.9 seconds, which is 0.1 seconds ‘slower’ than the closed Coupé version which is probably due to the fact the Roadster adds 50 kg more on the scales at 1575 kg.

The latter might not really fall in line with the things Kato-san is doing, the part of the wider add-on fenders is true, but LB Works uses some of the most exotic Italian made cars as a basis, and these kits don’t come cheap either at prices around the US $30,000 mark, and that’s without the special Airrex suspension (about US $10,000), Armytrix Racing titanium Valvetronic exhaust system (also about $10,000) and a set of matching wheels in a staggered 20-21 inch setup, preferably made by Forgiato if you ask Kato-san (probably another $5,000 for the wheels and about $3,000 for the Pirelli P Zero tires).

So a quick math gets us at a grand total of about $58,000 for the entire LB Works aero kit with exhaust, suspension, wheels and tires … but without the donor car, which in this case is a $400,000 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4, and the required paint and fitment … and trust me, fitting an LB Works wide finder kit onto an Aventador isn’t for the faint hearted … it involves actually cutting into all four wheel arches with an angle grinder.

But first, back to the start of this project, LB Performance released their intial aero kit a while ago already, back in 2013 at the TAS, Tokyo Auto Show, they unveiled the Aventador by LB Performance with her typical brushed aluminum wrap and thanks to the Airrex airride suspension system showing the low down Shakotan stance.

As amazing as this Aventador looked we all knew Kato-san still had something much more interesting in mind, think about his amazing looking Murciélago … or the Liberty Walk LB-R Limited Works 20 Murciélago as they call it, only 20 would be built, and she sold out a while ago … so we were all waiting for Kato-san to perform his magic on the new Aventador …

At the 2014 edition of the world famous SEMA show in the United States the Forgiato stand showed the totally over the top, ultra wide and extremely low riding LB Works Aventador, as far as we know this isn’t a limited edition, and with that massive rear wing it is without the doubt the most impressive car to leave their workshop in Japan.

Naturally Kato-san gets together with his designer in the initial stages and thinks about what style and width of ‘extensions’ would look best on the car, a Lamborghini Aventador in this case, once they get the look and feel just right Miura-san over at TRA Kyoto turns their ideas into a 3D image. Once aproved by Kato-san this design is sent over to a massive CNC machine that creates the moulds for the LB Works aero kit.

In fact the four ‘over-fenders’ as they are called are made from FRP which is a composite material made of a polymer matrix reinforced with fibers, however the front spoiler, side sills and rear diffuser can be ordered in FRP … or optionally in carbon fiber, the latter being about 25% more expensive, and let’s not forget that magnificent GT rear wing.

The first LB Works Lamborghini Aventador was naturally built in the actual workshop in Hagoya, Japan, by Kato-san and his team being the hands-on guy he is, in fact when this stunning baby blue metallic LB Works Aventador had to shipped to the United States to be featured at SEMA … she was only finished the night before … it takes some serious time from start to finish to create an LB Works Aventador.

Let’s start at the front, the entire original front bumper is replaced with an LB Works unit, that’s the easy part, you also add a more pronounced, far forward and very low additional fin underneath this bumper, together with two vertical fins on both air intakes. The styish side sills with their special upright just in front of the rear wheels are bolted onto the original Aventador side sills, again not too difficult in the end.

At the rear things get a lot more complicated, the lower rear diffuser from LB Works has some serious vertical fins that need to be mounted onto the original Lamborghini unit, complete with additional horizontal stabilization wings while the entire rear fascia on the Aventador needs some serious reinforcements to be able to support the massive GT rear wing that looks like it was taken straight from an Aventador GT1 race car.

Now comes the most frightnening part of fitting the LB Works aero kit … the wide fenders, which are in fact bolted onto the original fenders, but not before you have to remove a small strip from the front fenders and a rather large section from the rear ones so the wheels have enough space when mounting the Airrex airride suspension instead of the standard springs from Ohlins. Cutting the necessary sections away involves carefull measuring and gathering enough nerve to actually take an angle grinder and go to work.

Up front the ‘over-fenders’ are a two part item that add 30cm to the Aventador, one section is bolted onto the front bumper while the second section goes above the wheel and in front of the door, some really exact fitting is needed so you don’t mess up those trademark upward opening doors, once fitted at exactly the right spot you’ll have to drill holes into the fender, apply a rubber strip between the add-ons and the original fender and bolt everything down.

Once you’ve recovered from fitting the front ones, you’ll have to do it all over again at the rear, where these LB Works fenders add a massive 70mm and turn the already impressive Lamborghini Aventador into the beast Kato-san intended to build. If you look closely at these additional fenders you will however notice the attention to detail LB Works put into designing them … the follow the original lines of the Aventador and look like they’ve been intended to be there all along … Kato-san once again shows just how much of a genius he is when it comes to this style of aero tuning.

Time to get a set of wheels for the LB Works Aventador, and even before the first car was being built Kato-san contacted Forgiato to create a custom made set for his Lamborghini, because of the wider fenders these wheels needed some never before seen offset to fill the wheel arches to the brim … up front the 9×20 inch wheels come with a -7 offset while those deeply concave Maglia ECL wheels measure 13×21 inch with a -20 offset … add some Italian made Pirelli P Zero tires in 255/30ZR20 and 355/25ZR21 respectively and you know you have a winning combination to fill those brutal wheel arches.

Such a track inspired look requires performance and sound to match, so Kato-san went for an Armytrix titanium Valvetronic exhaust system, not only does it look great with those four square tips at the center of the Aventador, but a weight of only 8kg means you save a lot of weight over the original one, add a remote control valve system (an OBDII module) with three modes of ‘loudness’ and the fun can begin. Armytrix uses Aero grade titanium to construct these exhausts which include cat-bypass pipes … in addition to the amazing sound this offers a 35hp power increase.

I think this specific Kato-san LB Works styling with the typical wide fenders will fall into the ‘you love it or you hate it’ category, and looking at the number of Aventador that have been converted into full LB Works models a lot of people with the necessary cash love the look … a quick search indicates at least 7 Aventador have received the entire LB Works aero kit, 2 of them being a Roadster.

Since 1997 FAB Design AG has been building impressive vehicle conversions for some of the most demanding customers all over the world, under the management of Roland Rysanek the company has become the supplier of Haute Couture for the road with exceptionally high-quality conversions of exotic cars. This tuner now proves, once again, that their in-house engineering skills and their special design language can be adapted onto the V12 flagship from Sant’Agata too.

The FAB Design Spidron takes the top of the line Lamborghini Aventador and makes it even more unique then ever … the Spidron clearly shows the individual FAB Design language while still holding onto the typical Italian style of the Aventador … the by now famous ‘triangular’ design elements from Lamborghini have remained dominant on this Swiss conversion.

Up front a completely new front bumper with integrated air intakes has been developed by FAB Design, an additional horizontal fin has appeared in the side intakes of the front bumper while additional daytime running lights make the Spidron even more aggressive, just ahead of the front wheels extra air vents allow better air tunneling for the big Bull.

On the side the sills are a new design too, with special intakes just underneath the doors that give the impression the Spidron is even longer than it actually is, while the rear diffuser has received a selection of vertical fins to increase stability at high speeds, while race track inspired sections have been added to the diffuser too, but also note the new air vent between the taillights of the Aventador Spidron … to keep the car street legal in Switzerland and in all other countries around the world it seems the exhaust has not been modified on the FAB Design Spidron.

The Spidron does have two more, very impressive items … for one that roof mounted air scoop really reminds us of the low and wide LeMans race cars we’re used to see on the track only, but the FAB Design rear wing is truly a work of art, with the two ‘stretching’ struts that lift the wing above the standard unit of the Aventador in true Formula One style … very impressive.

The matte black sections on the Geneva Show car combined with the Verde Ithaca bright green Lamborghini paint sure make an everlasting impression, add those color coded wheels into the equation and the Spidron will draw attention all the time. These EVOlight concave wheels are in fact lightweight forged units, 9×20 inch up front with 255/30 ZR20 and 13×21 inch at the back with 355/25 ZR21 Pirelli P Zero tires … perfect to keep the 730hp from this amazing V12 on the road (a modified ECU and special air filters add 30hp to the regular Aventador 700hp power output).

Inside only one modification is visible, a special FAB Design steering wheel that has become more ergonomic but still retains the airbag for safety reasons … all in all the FAB Design Spidron sure looks different from all other tuned Aventador out there.

A small overview of the parts:

BASICS kit is listed at €21,800 and includes the front bumper, lower front diffuser in 3 parts, LED lights, side sills with lower diffuser, rear bumper and the rear diffuser.

CARBONFIBER kit has the same parts of the Basics kit but the lower front diffuser, the lower diffuser on the side skirts and the rear diffuser are delivered in clear carbon fiber … at €25,900.

Fully forged wheels EVOLIGHT in 9×20 and 13×21 inch are available at €8,900

Installation of the entire kit will come in at €4,500 while painting will take another €6,200 for a glossy finished while a matte top coat will be an extra €600 on top of that.

Now for the additional options : the air scoop to be mounted on the roof costs €2,600 in paintable form and €3,200 in clear carbon fiber. The rear exit frame is listed at €800 to be painted and €2,800 in carbon fiber with the exhaust blade in CF at €2,900, Naca 4 cover set in CF at €2,100 and finally a mirror cover set in CF for €980.

The very impressive rear wing from FAB Design on their Spidron will set you back €5,200 if you decide to have it painted to match the car or in matte black for instance, while the much more impressive clear carbon fiber finish will demand €7,900 to obtain.

Note that all prices mentioned are mere indications and you really should get in touch with FAB Design to get exact quotes and delivery times on these items to create the Spidron.

At the 2014 Geneva Auto Show Hamann came up with an evolution of their Nervudo kit, now called Hamann Limited for Aventador their show car was turned into a matte grey finished Bull with bright green accents … a shade that would return in the interior too, a custom made combination of green and grey leather with clear carbon fiber. The main difference between the Nervudo and the new Limited was found at the rear, the lower diffuser was a new design while air vents appeared between the taillights, also the entire package now showed a clear carbon fiber finish compared to the matte grey on the Nervudo six months earlier.

For the 2015 edition of the Geneva Auto Show something new had to be prepared by Hamann, and I’m sure the bright yellow, Giallo Orion metallic Lamborghini Aventador Roadster made a serious impression at the show wearing the very nice Limited bodykit with proud.

The complete package was installed by Hamann on this Limited for Aventador Roadster model, including the front bumper with the two additional air intakes, lower fin and vertical blades, the side sills are slightly wider than original and require two vertical wings just behind the front wheels while the large side air intake receives a massive clear carbon fiber intake.

Around the back the lower diffuser is installed showing the original exhaust tip but with round tubes inside, so the entire exhaust system has been revised by Hamann while the large rear wing probably prevents the original rear wing from opening so Hamann put two extra air vents on the rear fascia between the taillights for additional cooling of the engine compartment, naturally the big rear wing is totally adjustable for just the right amount of downforce.

The wheels on the Hamann Limited for Aventador Roadster are forged alloy units called ‘Professional’ in massive 9×20 inch up front and 13×21 inch at the rear with matching 255/30 ZR 20 and 355/25 ZR 21 high performance tires, also note Hamann reprogrammed the software for the engine control unit resulting in a power increase to 760hp (559kW) and a torque of 735Nm.

Two items are in fact missing from this new Hamann Aventador … on this Roadster edition the interior was kept factory standard, no special stitching or custom yellow alcantara for instance, not even some clear carbon fiber parts to make the central console look better … could have been a time constraint getting the car ready for Geneva as we’ve all seen the work Hamann did on the Nervudo and the grey Limited Aventador, so the workmanship is there.

The second thing I found missing on this yellow Roadster is that special air intake for the engine cover, because the Aventador Roadster uses a totally different engine cover compared to the closed coupé version the original triangular intake from Hamann won’t fit, but it would have been really nice if they could have designed a special one to fit the Roadster edition of their Limited kit.

Other than that I really did like the special carbon fiber pattern used on the parts for this Giallo Orion Roadster, a kind of ‘fishtail’ pattern that really sets apart this kit … and it was applied flawlessly too, very impressive.

The illustrious SV designation has adorned some of the most impressive Lamborghini ever since it first appeared back in early Seventies in fact it was exactly 44 years ago at the same Geneva Auto Show the SV was used for the first time on a Lamborghini the Miura P400 SV in fact, back in those days it stood for Spinto Veloce and would mark the final evolution of the sensual Miura today the Miura SV is the most sought after of the all, and with only 150 ever made it has become a very costly affair to obtain the best of the best when it comes to Miura production the handful factory built SVJ with special Jota looks and technical modifications are even more difficult to find on the market today.

After the Countach took over from the Miura in the mid-Seventies it would take a very long time to reach the ultimate evolution of that bedroom poster dream car and it was called the Quattrovalvole, or in short the QV (the 25th Anniversary was a special celebrations model based on the QV) there was no SV designation used during the entire Countach production run from 1974 to 1990, and it would take another 5 years before the SV would be back in the line up of the Diablo range this time.

Exactly 20 years ago, in March 1995 the impressive Diablo SV was unveiled at the Geneva Auto Show, short for Sport Veloce the Diablo SV was in fact the entry level model, a lightweight version of the Diablo 2WD that was developed with racing in mind (in 1996 the Diablo SV-R became a reality), hence the alcantara interior, special rear wing and air intakes to draw cool air straight into the V12 engine compartment the Diablo SV quickly became a very popular model, and by the time the MY1999 with the fixed headlights took over production of the original Diablo 2WD was halted in favor of the Diablo SV, which also featured rear wheel drive only while the Diablo VT was a four wheel drive version.

1999 was the final production year for the Lamborghini Diablo SV, but a decade later, at the 2009 Geneva Auto Show one of the most impressive Bulls ever was unveiled the Murciélago LP670-4 Superveloce which would be a numbered, limited edition model of which only 350 would be built in the end only about 185 were ever sold before the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 was shown in 2011 and introduced one of the best selling V12 models ever.

So fast forward to March 2015 and once again the Geneva Auto Show is the venue where Lamborghini unveils the fourth SV or Superveloce version of their flagship V12 model the Aventador LP750-4 Superveloce lighter, more powerful, more aggressive looking and officially the fastest production Lamborghini ever.

The famous 6.5 Liter V12 engine is still naturally aspired, there are no Turbo on this Lamborghini but still power output increased from 700hp to 750hp for the Superveloce, together with a 50kg weight reduction this results in a ‘power to weight’ ratio of 2.03 kg/hp very impressive figures that deliver a top speed in excess of 350km/h and acceleration figures of 2.8 second from 0 to 100 km/h 300 km/h is reached in less than half a minute only 24 seconds to be exact.

For the Aventador Superveloce the emphasis was put on being fast but still relatively easy to drive and additionally to bring the track feeling to the road visible carbon fiber inside, the use of Carbon Skin upholstery for the interior and some amazing looking seats with again visible carbon fiber even the infotainment system has become an option to reduce weight as much as possible, but still allow those who would like some more luxury to option out a very nice Superveloce in the end.

The carbon fiber monocoque for the Aventador has been a major achievement already, but for the Superveloce this strong but lightweight material has been taken to the next level, the inner door panels are clear carbon fiber with a strap to pull down, similar to the treatment seen on the Gallardo Superleggera in fact, while the lower rocker panels and rear fenders are made from superlight SMC material the big carbon fiber rear wing offers three positions while the ‘shoulder’ air intakes are now fixed too but show large intakes nonetheless keep in mind all the motors for the original rear wing and intakes could be deleted on the Superveloce all in an effort to shave away weight.

The design for the Aventador Superveloce has taken inspiration from both the limited edition 50th Anniversary edition Aventador LP720-4 and the very special Lamborghini Veneno LP750-4 with aggressive vertical fins on the rear diffuser, extra air vents on the rear fascia between the taillights (as there is no adjustable rear wing anymore) and large vents under the taillights all there to create an ‘open’ style rear section finished mostly in matte black combined with clear carbon fiber while four centrally mounted round exhaust pipes are responsible for the V12 soundtrack.

The side sills received an Aventador J style finish with a section being done in matte black while the large air intake behind the door showed a matte carbon fiber finish on the ‘New’ Giallo Orion show car, exterior rear view mirrors also received the matte black treatment on the yellow car a very nice touch is the fact when you open the door you actually see the carbon fiber weave on the sill track style in fact carpets are an option.

Up front the Aventador Superveloce boasts a low, aggressive bumper again with large air intakes and matte black sections, an horizontal fin is color coded to the body of the car a trick that makes the car look even wider than it already is I’m sure there will be a possibility to have all those matte black parts finished in clear carbon fiber too, or even the new Forged Composite material after all there is still the Ad Personam department that can make just about all your dreams come true.

The Aventador Superveloce brings back the central locking wheels we’ve seen on the Miura back in the late Sixties and early Seventies the optional Diantus wheels offer a race inspired cross spoke design, are a lot lighter compared to the standard Dione wheels, and come with either a black or a red central locking nut. Sizes are 20 inch up front and 21 inch at the rear always coupled to a Magneto-rheological suspension again with either black or red springs the lifting system is an option to allow you to enter a steeper driveway a little easier.

Brake calipers behind these amazing wheels are black in standard form, but you can opt for yellow, grey, orange and red from the option list in the Ad Personam system the orange, yellow and red return while the Superveloce comes standard with Pirelli P Zero Corsa sport tires while P Zero sport tires are an option together with the large SV script to put on the side of the Aventador Superveloce.

In the engine compartment the masterpiece is undoubtedly that amazing V12 engine, but still you can add a few personal touches from the options list, like a T-Shaped engine cover in carbon fiber to replace the standard Polycarbonate one, and why not go for the carbon fiber engine bay trim together with the X-Frame in clear carbon fiber on the other hand the engine cover itself comes with carbon fiber fins as standard, if you want people to admire the engine from the outside the glass louvers are an option.

If you want to stick to the normal palette of shades made available for the Aventador LP750-4 Superveloce you will be able to choose from Nero Aldebaran, Bianco Isis, New Giallo Orion, Arancio Atlas, Verde Ithaca, Rosso Bia and a Blu Sideris but naturally there is still the option list and the Ad Personam program to really make your Superveloce stand out from the crowd, and while it is not a numbered, limited edition I’m sure the premium asked for the LP750-4 against the original LP700-4 will keep it a rare sight on the open road.

Inside things have changed between the original Aventador and this new Superveloce too, for one there is the Carbon Skin material being used on a regular production model for the first time, but also a lot of visible carbon fiber everywhere in the cockpit, from the seats over the central console right up to the foot wells all very impressive. In fact the Sensonum premium sound system and navigation/infotainment system are options, if not taken a nice Forged Composite panel takes her place on the central console, a rear view camera might be a useful option however.

For the Superveloce the sport bucket seats are standard fitment while fully electric and heated seats are an option together with the multi-function steering wheel, available in a combination of alcantara and smooth leather, either perforated or not or in full alcantara, which is the only option on the Superveloce for me to be honest.

Naturally the interior can be ordered in just about any shade possible, from the standard black with color coded inserts over to anything you like with the Ad Personam program, add the Carbon Skin package to make a difference while the branding package adds the Lamborghini script on the dashboard and the Raging Bull crest on the headrests the interior carbon fiber package is another must have if you ask me while the optional fire extinguisher and carbon fiber floor mats just complete that track day feeling for you.

The Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 Superveloce is the new flagship model made in Sant’Agata at the moment but rumor has it there will also be a Roadster version of this track inspired supercar.

The windshield pillars, roof, shoulder intakes and engine cover (with the usually optional glass louvers as standard on this Pirelli Edition) are finished in black, either matte or glossy, and come complete with a thin red line running from front to back, a nice Pirelli script is featured just behind the windshield. The same red line is also present on the black exterior rear view mirrors and on the lower part of both the front and rear air vents.

The black Alcantara upholstery continues this red shade inside, with bespoke stitching and red piping on the seats and headliner, while the seats also receive both the Lamborghini crest and the Pirelli script embroidered in contrasting red, the door panels and the sides of the seats receive leather inserts to create a more special feeling while a ‘Pirelli Serie Speciale’ plaque will be fitted to each of these Bulls that leave the assembly line.

As this is a special series the number of exterior shades has been limited by Automobili Lamborghini SpA, depending which finish you opt for the roof when you go for a matte black roof you can select from a list of glossy finished paints, being Giallo Spica, Rosso Mars, Bianco Isis, Nero Aldebaran, Grigio Liqueo, and Grigio Ater but when you prefer a glossy black roof the rest of the body will receive a satin matte finish, more specifically either Bianco Canopus, Nero Nemesis, Grigio Adamas and Grigio Titans.

The very special design touches added to the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Pirelli Edition have been created by the Lamborghini Centro Stile in fact while the rest of the V12 has remained more or less the same, power output is still a healthy 700hp going into an all-wheel drive transmission with race inspired pushrod suspension resulting in a maximum speed of 350km/h and an acceleration from 0 to 100Km/h (0-62Mph) of only 2.9 seconds.

This brand new special series can be ordered from your local dealership as of today with delivery foreseen by the summer of 2015.

Much like German based DMC with their 3 different stages for the Aventador (MV, SV and E-GT) the people at Vorsteiner Nero didn’t just call it quits after releasing their first aerodynamic kit in clear carbon fiber … a first addition was the amazing looking front spoiler called the Zaragoza unit.

After an elaborate design and clay modelling sequence Vorsteiner first made a mockup through rapid prototyping that allowed them to completely test fit this new unit onto an existing Lamborghini Aventador before actually producing the part in the much more expensive clear carbon fiber finish.

In fact the Vorsteiner V Zaragoza front spoiler is about 25mm lower compared to the standard Avantador bumper, 25mm wider and a massive 200mm longer … more importanly the Zaragoza spoiler not only looks very impressive, it also improves aerodynamic at the front.

Note that the Zaragoza front spoiler is a one piece carbon fiber unit that fits seamlessly onto the original Lamborghini Aventador front bumper, naturally best combined with the extensive kit of clear carbon fiber parts Vorsteiner already offered for the V12 flagship from Sant’Agata.

The beautiful side sills from Vorsteiner Nero fit onto this new Zaragoza kit too, which has recently been complemented by an absolutely magnificent looking rear wing in an innovative ‘hanging’ design, much like the one we’ve seen on the one-off Lamborghini Aventador J back in 2012.

The DMC MV kit is still for sale today … however the next step from DMC called the Stage 2 kit or more aplty the Spezial Version (in short SV) is sold out by now, only 10 units of the DMC Aventador SV would be built, all on special order … and the entire production is sold out, which sure is impressive keeping in mind the massive front bumper/spoiler combined with a rear fascia finished entirely in clear carbon fiber probably didn’t come cheap … but it sure looked really intimidating.

If you were thinking DMC would rest after selling 10 units of their amazing Spezial Version kit … you might want to think again … DMC created a further evolution for the Lamborghini Aventador, loosely inspired by the limited edition Veneno of which only three were built, DMC came up with their Stage 3 package … the Aventador Edizione GT or E-GT.

At first only 3D renders were available, which did convince one owner to have his Aventador, which was already wearing some DMC parts, converted into the awesome looking Edizione GT, finished in bright Arancio Argos the new E-GT kit transformed this V12 into a street legal race car with looks that wouldn’t be out of place on the venerable LeMans circuit.

And there is already a second DMC Aventador Edizione GT, this time finished in an even more intimidating black shade with lots of clear carbon fiber parts … rolling on the standard Iperione wheels which might look a little out of place, but I guess the owner didn’t want to compromise on comfort when driving on less than perfect roads … we don’t have silky smooth roads in every part of the world.

The unique engine cover from DMC in their Edizione GT package is completely left blank on this specific Lamborghini which clearly shows the intricate carbon fiber weave on the big fins and that triangular air intake … add the massive rear diffuser, the side sills with their uprights for additional stability and the front bumper with the big air intakes and you really have a completely transformed Lamborghini Aventador.

A race inspired rear wing, that is fully adjustable by the way, completes the look … this isn’t your regular Lamborghini Aventador anymore, and with the optional engine tuning from DMC that could bring this V12 from 700hp up to 988 she doesn’t only look fast, she will be very fast too.

But fear not … Novitec Torado now releases a complete kit specifically created to be mounted onto the V12 Roadster version, complete with custom made air intakes behind both the driver and the passenger of this exotic open top super car.

Just as for the closed coupé equivalent, this new Roadster package can come in clear carbon fiber together with custom made 20/21 inch wheels that are calibrated specifically for the Novitec suspension, which is in fact height adjustable … and can lower the Aventador 30mm to the concrete.

The Novitec Torado Roadster package consists of a two part front spoiler to be fitted onto the original bumper together with a new center section and air intakes while the luggage cover receives a set of air tunnels to create an even better air flow over this section.

On the side the very special Novitec Torado sills are present again that flow into a brand new, clear carbon fiber rear lower diffuser that wraps around an Inconel exhaust system derived from F1 racing … a massive, double fin rear wing competes the rear of this car.

However for the Aventador Roadster Novitec Torado came up with a pair of air tunnels to be mounted on the black parts just behind the driver and passenger … again in clear carbon fiber, which is the same material that can be found on many parts inside this V12 Bull … custom made interiors are also a specialty of Novitec in case you were wondering.

The predecessor of this very high power V12 were called Carbonado LP1250 and Carbonado Apertos … with the latter being the Roadster version of the Carbonado LP1250, only three would be built … at a serious premium naturally, but we have to keep in mind Mansory was in fact the first one to offer a complete aerodynamic tuning package for the Aventador only one year after the original car was introduced, finished in a stunning dark red metallic the Mansory Aventador was the start of this entire series.

And today Mansory has gone back to phase one and implemented the original aerodynamic package onto the beautiful Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster edition … finished in a bright blue metallic shade Mansory calls it ‘As blue as the sky above Fujiyama mountain’ and dubbed this new evolution ‘First Emperor’.

The Mansory First Emperor shows a light blue metallic bodywork with an abundance of clear carbon fiber on the custom parts being added, like the front hood, wider front fenders with integrated vents, the large side air intakes and big side sills that run into wider rear wheel arches. Naturally the lower rear diffuser shows the same carbon fiber weave with proud while the air vents on the rear fascia receive the Mansory Y-shaped inserts that look like the original taillights of the base Aventador.

The custom made Mansory wheels receive a high gloss chrome finish combined with carbon fiber fins, the brake calipers are color coded to the exterior of the car … one of the most eye-catching features of this blue First Emperor surely is the interior.

A lot of white leather is used to cover most parts of the dashboard, the seats and the door panels … being a Roadster this might not be the best idea to be honest, white will create a lot of reflections in the windshield … in fact Lamborghini themselves refuses to cover the upper part of the dashboard in white, not even in their Ad Personam programme.

The seats are upholstered in white leather with a small blue section color coded to the exterior, naturally a special stitching pattern is used by Mansory, this pattern returns on the central console and inside the foot wells … all boasting the same white leather, fortunately Mansory did fit black mats to protect the venerable white leather from your shoes.

Furthermore a lot of custom weave carbon fiber is used on the central console, the upper part of the doors and on sections of the otherwise white steering wheel …. you might opt for a set of driving gloves to handle that light shaded steering wheel.

At the moment this specific blue First Emperor Aventador Roadster has no engine tuning, it still delivers the standard 700hp … Mansory could do anything between the standard 700hp and up to 1,600hp I guess … on the other hand … do you need, or even will be able to use 1,600hp with the top down remains to be seen.

If this is a one-off on special order for a specific customer or is Mansory planning a limited edition production run of First Emperor editions isn’t disclosed yet … neither is any pricing … but you know the saying ‘if you have to ask how much …’.

As usual with Mansory tuning … you either love it or hate it … there doesn’t seem to be a grey area between this … I actually do admire their workmanship and the fact they are totally different … so I will leave it up to you to decide.

Now we all knew ‘Nazionale’ would have something to do with either Italy or China it turned out it would be Italy come to think about it the Aventador LP700-4 Nazionale could be considered as the V12 version of the Gallardo Tricolore from 2011 as the Nazionale shown in Beijing is finished in Bianco Opalis and features an Italian flag running from the front, over the roof to the back of this flagship model.

Do note the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Nazionale is not really a special edition or even an additional model in the lineup, it is in fact a pre-configured Ad Personam product. As you know when you opt for the ‘Ad Personam option’ you can just about have anything on your Lamborghini tailor-made to comply with your wishes, from special exterior shades to exotic dyed leather inside different stitching, forged composite parts with a hue in the top coat if you can think about it, chances are the Ad Personam studio at Sant’Agata is able to create it for and present a nice bill in the end probably, but who cares, you’ll end up with a special, one of one Lamborghini in return.

Back to the Aventador Nazionale, as stated it is available as a complete packaged deal from the Ad Personam studio, outside shades are either Bianco Opalis or Blu Pavo while on the inside the white Aventador gets a Blu Cepheus (a shade similar to the shirts used by the Italian national soccer team in fact) leather upholstery in Bicolor Elegante style combined with Nero Ade while Q-Citura stitching is featured on the inner seat panels only (not on the door panels like on the 50th Anniversary model) and a beautiful detail is added in the shape of an Italian flag embroidered on the backrest. Furthermore the upper door panel receives an Ad Personam logo and the entire interior gets clear carbon fiber finished details add the branding package with the Raging Bull logo on the headrest and the Lamborghini script on the dashboard together with extended stitching on the steering wheel and you end up with a very special Nazionale.

If you go for the pearl metallic Blu Pavo finished Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Nazionale you will also receive a different interior, this time combining Nero Ade with Bianco Polar I’m sure this will result in a totally different look for this Bull, but on the other hand a blue car with a white leather interior and lots of clear carbon fiber both on the inside and on the outside is still a beauty on wheels.

While the optional Dione wheels for the Lamborghini Aventador normally come in either silver or glossy black finish, this Ad Personam Nazionale rolls on matte titanium finished wheels, still 20 inch up front and 21 inch at the back while the brake calipers get a splash of red paint.

At the moment no statement about a limited production, or even a numbered sequence is available neither a price has been published yet.

Six months later Hamann sets the record straight with a rather impressive looking Limited for Aventador evolution at the Geneva Auto Show, this time finished in a much more ‘custom’ paint scheme combining ‘Stealth Grey’ and ‘Poisson Green’ … I have to admit it does apeal better than the Lamborghini standard orange metallic, which is very nice on it’s own mind you, but a full tuning kit like the one from Hamann just screams for a more elaborate paintjob.

Looking closely at the front of the Hamann Limited for Aventador it looks like the bumper is in fact similar to the one used on the Nervudo before, however all of the light grey parts on the latter are now finished in clear carbon fiber, which in combination with the matte grey bodywork give a totally different impression, add those bright green grilles and this actually looks good.

The Hamann Limited side sills and extension just behind the front wheel again look identical to the Nervudo parts except the for carbon fiber finish on this new car which brings us around the back … and here things are in fact genuinly different. The lower rear diffuser it a redesigned unit alltogether, the vertical side fins show a square style now while the fins under the tray are nicely integrated and don’t show the ‘teeth’ anymore like the Nervudo unit did.

It looks like this new rear diffuser fits under a standard Aventador bumper without showing a crease along the bottom as it did on the earlier Nervudo kit, naturally the new Limited parts all show a glossy clear carbon fiber finish, but one more thing it evident at the rear … there are additional vents between the taillights now, these might have been necessary if Hamann disconnected the original rear wing movement … as for the rear wing, the Limited unit is again slightly modified when compared to the Nervudo one … there is a more promiment ‘dent’ in the middle, the design now follows the original lines at the rear better.

A rather controversial item on the original Hamann Nervudo was the engine cover air intake, obviously designed with the Lamborghini Veneno in mind, it didn’t please everybody, more specifically because it is purely for show … the air that get pulled into it is leaving again at the rear, in fact it is mounted on top of the standard fins, be it glass or not … still I rather like it, and with the clear carbon fiber finish on this new Hamann Limited it looks even better, especially as Hamann painted parts in the engine bay in the same Poisson Green … visible through the glass engine cover.

Wheels are once again the traditional, but still very impressive Hamann Edition Race units, finished in glossy black with Stealth Grey ‘bed’ and a thin Poisson Green stripe on the outer extremety, sizes are 9×20 inch up front and massive 13×21 inch at the rear … high performance tires in 255/30 ZR20 and 355/25 ZR21 make sure the increased power output of 760hp gets transmitted onto the street. By using a modified ECU developed by Hamann in-house and a bespoke exhaust system power output was increased by almost 10%, torque went up to 735 Nm (from 690 Nm on the standard 700hp Aventador).

Inside the Hamann Limited for Aventador we are greeted by lots of bright green leather, closely matched to the Poisson Green on the outside the interior receives Verde on a large part of the dashboard, on the sides of the central console and on the middle sections of the standard Aventador seats, the upper section and both lower parts of the steering wheel also get covered in bright green leather while both sides remain perforated black leather … all grey parts on the steering wheel do get a clear carbon fiber finish, just like the two shift paddles, the central console and the door handles.

The last pieces of green leather get wrapped around the dashboard bevel, and fitted to the armrest on the door and on the upper panel of these upward opening doors … also note the black parts of the seats aren’t finished in smooth leather but receive beautiful Alcantara instead … with bright green stitching naturally while the headrests, also finished in bright green show the famous Raging Bull crest using black thread.

I have to admit I rather liked the original Nervudo when I saw it in Frankfurt, only the grey parts on the bright orange paint looked a bit strange, in fact I virtually modified a photo I took into a white, a black and a different orange Nervudo … and it looked a whole lot better, especially the black one … with the modifications made to the kit and the new paint scheme I think the Hamann Limited for Aventador can become a success …

The DMC Aventador LP988-4 Edizione GT is once again a limited edition, just like the Spezial Version that would only be built 10 times the brand new Edizione GT will be available in very small numbers and most likely not two will be found in the same area … something DMC looked after with their SV model, in fact customers had to own the Molto Veloce kit for the Aventador already before they could even apply for the Spezial Version, and DMC made sure not two of their SV’s would be found close to each other or even in similar shades … just to keep them as exclusive as possible.

Remember the LP900 MV (Molto Veloce) was also called the Stage 1 when the Spezial Version came out, which DMC called the Stage 2 internally … so it is safe to state this new LP988-4 Edizione GT will be the Stage 3 edition … now what about that LP988-4 designation?

Keep in mind the fact DMC already had a 900hp modification for the original Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 on the shelves, they mount a total of twelve single intake throttle plates, a unique one for each cylinder. Fuel pumps, fuel lines, pressure units and the injection nozzles are all replaced by DMC made parts … to keep it all working together the electronics are reprogrammed and all wiring is replaced … after which the engine gets the ‘LP900’ name from DMC, who insist you ship the car to Germany for the engine modification, just to make sure it is reliable after the upgrade.

But for the new Edizione GT a 900hp power output just wasn’t enough, so DMC turned to a twin turbo setup … after carefully installing two turbo chargers and turning everything in sync the actual power output almost reached the magical 1,000hp mark … DMC went for the 988 number for good luck instead.

Enough on the power output of the legendary V12 Raging Bull … back to the styling of the DMC Edizione GT … at first glance you might think you are looking at a Veneno style kit, but closer inspection will unveil the extensive detail of the new DMC Edizione GT aerodynamic kit … up front the entire bumper is replaced by a new unit, not only that but both wings are also replaced while splitters are added together with those race inspired canards … new flaps and a completely redesigned tunnel at the front helps the required air to reach the areas to be cooled.

If you take a close look at the renders showing the front of the new DMC Edizione GT you will notice the triangular styling seen on the final Gallardo LP560-4 edition and on the 2013 Blancpain race car … DMC did make it look even better I think, in fact the Edizione GT was developed with actual FIA GT regulations in mind … are we going to see this car on the track? Perhaps, but DMC did manage to keep it street legal in the end, so it is a street car … with race looks … something like the multi-million Euro Veneno of some sorts.

From the renders we also notice the front hood get a Sesto Elemento style pair of triangular vents, just like the 2013 specs Super Trofeo race car by the way, in front of the windshield … on the side you’ll notice wide side skirts and a set of vertical fins to increase stability at high speed.

Around the back you almost don’t even recognize the original Aventador anymore, just about the entire rear section is replaced by DMC Edizione GT parts … a new rear bumper, massive lower diffuser and naturally the additional fins for stability … just in case that doesn’t impress you enough DMC also installs a brand new rear wing, the GT version which gets installed on a new ‘wing base’ for added stifness and that can be adjusted for more down force when needed.

Another highlight of the DMC Edizione GT aerodynamic kit is surely the new engine cover … the Aero Engine Cover replacement unit boasts an innovative design incorporating a large triangular intake pulling air into the engine compartment … combine that with the new air vents on the cover itself and the open rear fascia installed by DMC the rear wing is now fixed … no more movement of the original base to offer cooling … this new design of the engine cover and the open sections at the rear of the Edizione GT answers any overheating question … and it looks amazing too.

With looks like this and an increase in power output the DMC Aventador LP988-4 Edizione GT should receive some high end, track inspired wheels too … now DMC is known for the fact they leave this decision up to the customer, but they do point you in the right direction with a set of matte black cross spoke wheels … a center lock would be even more appropriate I think.

At the moment there is no news on numbers for this very impressive kit … will DMC make it limited to 10 or less units and again insist the customer to own either the MV or the SV kit already? I don’t know right now … but I do know this kit must look extremely impressive in real life … I for one can’t wait to see it installed on an Aventador in the near future.

On the other hand, pricing has just been released … I hopy you are sitting down? The entire conversion from a standard Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 into a DMC LP988-4 Edizione GT will cost a grand total of USD288,888 … if you just want the looks without the power boost the full Edizione GT aerodynamic kit is listed at USD89,990 while the impressive power increase on the factory V12 comes in at USD 134,530 …

Think about it for a second … you have the Lamborghini Veneno on one hand … only three made (with 9 Roadsters later on) and priced at Euro 3,000,000 without taxes and 650hp … while on the other hand you have the DMC LP988-4 Edizione GT for less than USD750,000 in total (let’s say you get a factory standard Aventador LP700-4 for USD450,000 and add the USD288,888 required to turn her into the LP988-4) … you’ll end up with a car that is far more powerful, available on the market right now (while the Veneno are sold out and as far as we know none of them is for sale) … and at only about 20% of the cost … I guess the choice is quickly made no?

Oakley Design has an LP760-2 available, 760hp with rear wheel drive only, while Underground Racing offers a twin turbo Aventador setup right up to 1,200hp … Vorsteiner takes a more moderate approach with ‘only’ 740hp in their Aventador-V LP740 while Novitec has a few options in the new Torado series with ‘Power Stages’ from 722 to 748hp while the top of the line Novitec Torado is the Bi-Kompressor version with no less than 969hp … so as an Aventador owner you already have a lot of options … both for the exterior as for the actual performance of your Raging Bull … and things just got a little more interesting.

RevoZport, based in Hong Kong with a European HQ in London, has just joined the ranks of the Lamborghini Aventador tuners, and not only did they come up with a very innovative looking aerodynamic package, RevoZport also offers a power upgrade for the 6.5 liter V12 engine … numbers like 820hp have been floating around on the internet … however on their official website they mention the LaMotta LP900 … which could mean power output went from the standard 700hp right up to 900hp instead of 820hp.

First a closer look at the exterior of the white Lamborghini Aventador LaMotta shown by RevoZport, up front we note a new fin underneath the original bumper, unlike most other tuners RevoZport raised the center section of their fin and installed Jota style ‘fins’ on the corners of this bumper lip, a featured that is replicated on the side skirts just ahead of the rear wheels too.

Around the back we find a new lower diffuser and a very, very impressive rear wing which once again is a RevoZport exclusive design, not only is the styling of the wing itself very refreshing, the struts are a work of art on their own … do note all these parts are finished in a beautiful clear carbon fiber with a red pinstripe … could the latter have been inspired by the Lamborghini Veneno?

And these aren’t the only parts made from carbon fiber, in fact RevoZport replaced the original hood with a cf model weighing only 3kgs, while the seats were removed to have carbon fiber tubs with an alcantara upholstery mounted instead, the door panels are made from carbon fiber while the exhaust system got removed in favor of an inconel made system (developed by their UK based engineering team by the way) … in fact all the updates from RevoZport shave a total of 80kgs from the overall weight of the original Aventador, instead of 1600kgs this lady now puts a mere 1520kgs on the scales.

Those stunning new lightweight wheels in large 20 and 21 inch size also add to the weight loss of the LaMotta … made by Klassen ID these aerospace grade alu wheels are almost 1.5kgs lighter than the factory wheels.

Combine the 80kgs less weight to a remapped ECU that unleashes 820hp from the V12 without reverting to a turbo installation and you just know this LaMotta means business on the open road … however we would advice looking for the limits of this car on an enclosed track to be honest … might be the Aventador LaMotta is just a bit too powerful to be used to its full potential on public roads.

Removing weight and releasing more power from the normally aspirated engine … sounds familiar no? The exact same thing was done by Automobili Lamborghini SpA on the Gallardo Superleggera while the Murciélago LP670-4 Super Veloce followed a similar path back in 2009 … we all expect the factory made Aventador SV to go down this road too … more power and a more aggressive style, somehow I think the real Aventador SV will no simply be adding a few fins and skirts … instead it will boast a very impressive styling with a massive, probably optional, rear wing.

Let’s hope we’ll be seeing a RevoZport Lamborghini Aventador LaMotta LP900 in the United Kingdom soon, can’t wait to see how it looks in real life.

Only two images have been published until now, both showing the rear of the Lamborghini Aventador LaMotta by RevoZport and while information and specifications are still very limited there are a few details available already.

Apparently the LaMotta will be delivering 820 hp instead of the factory standard 700 and with a weight reduction of 80kgs we could almost call this the Superleggera version of the V12 … performance will be improved compared to the factory specs Aventador … if most owners will be able to experience the difference is still to be seen as the original V12 Bull isn’t too shabby either.

Extra power and less weight is very nice, and important to some customers, but I’m sure many will go for the special rear wing seen on these photos … it looks like the wing shows a design similar to the Aventador J rear wing … it seem to be ‘hanging’ from the two struts, more photos from different angles will show this more clearly I guess.

Add the clear carbon fiber finish on the rear fascia between the taillights and a nice lower rear diffuser with red pinstriping and you have to admit the LaMotta already looks very nice … let’s seen if RevoZport also installed a different front bumper and custom wheels …

Instead of creating a massive body kit replacing original parts with much larger units the Vorsteiner Nero kit actually adds only a few, well engineered touches to keep the factory design language and improve them with enhanced aerodynamic parts.

In fact Vorsteiner made a complete 3D scan of an original Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 before even starting any design of their own, all through the development stage every part was tested in a virtual wind tunnel to make sure the air flow and down-force was actually enhancing the original car and not only there for aesthetic reasons … the Vorsteiner Nero kit should not only look good, but perform even better.

Initial prototyping was executed on a CNC machine after which every single part was installed on an actual Aventador, before being modified and altered to perfection … only when the part would allow a factory alike fitment the tooling was created to build the actual production part in 2×2 carbon fiber pattern.

In the end the Vorsteiner Nero Aventador V kit consists of a three piece front lip with vertical fins on either side, a set of side skirts that show another vertical fin at the front and a ‘winglet’ just in front of the rear wheels, a clear carbon fiber lower diffuser at the back completes the ‘lower’ parts. However one of the most impressive achievements from Vorsteiner is their unique rear wing design.

During the development of this aerodynamic kit Vorsteiner insisted the factory original active aero function of the standard rear wing would be retained without showing any errors on the dashboard … keep in mind the fact the original wing ‘rises’ isn’t only to increase down-force but also to allow more air to be extracted from the engine compartment … even with the Vorsteiner carbon fiber rear wing installed this functionality remains.

The rear wing isn’t even bolted onto the factory original wing but completely replaces it for a much better, more integrated installation … and just in case the factory original carbon fiber exterior kit (air intakes, air outlets, side intakes …) wasn’t installed on your Aventador Vorsteiner offers a complete OEM kit to achieve the same look.

Add to this the impressive monoblock wheels from Vorsteiner in 9×20 inch at the front and 13×21 inch at the back with Italian tires from Pirelli to shave some more weight from the Aventador together with the Aventador-V ECU software flash that unleashes 40 more hp and you’ll end up with a Lamborghini Aventador that not only looks good, but offers more power and an enhanced throttle response.

The Lamborghini Aventador-V LP740 by Vorsteiner Nero is another possibility for those looking to personalize their car into something different … a lot of tuners have been offering parts for the current V12 flagship from Sant’Agata … and the list is constantly growing, so let’s see if Vorsteiner can convince with their extremely engineered parts.

Now at that moment the first customer production unit of the Lamborghini Veneno was just being seen on the production line in Sant’Agata and nobody ever mentioned a Roadster version in public before so was this a hoax or was Automobili Lamborghini SpA thinking about chopping the roof from their multi million Euro Veneno which would make sense as they did the same thing with Reventòn years ago.

It didn’t take too long to get an official confirmation this time only two weeks after the first rumor came up Stephan Winkelmann revealed plans for a new limited edition model from Lamborghini in an interview a Veneno Roadster was in the pipeline, but no clues were given on how it would be styled would it be an Aventador Roadster with the Veneno aerodynamics added to it or would it get a bespoke styling only time would tell.

Fast forward to late October 2013 an official press release gets send out and official press photos (well, high end 3D renders in fact) get published all over the internet three photos were all that was available initially, but later on a few more images got published on the official Lamborghini press site depicting a bright red metallic, totally roofless Lamborghini Veneno.

Price of Lamborghini Veneno Roadster

Some figures were already known from the interview Mr Winkelmann gave mid-August only nine Veneno Roadster will be built during 2014, each priced at €3,300,000 (about USD 4,500,000) they will use the same engine as the original Veneno, a 6.5 Liter V12 with 750 hp that will offer an acceleration from 0 to 100 Km/h in 2.9 seconds and keeps going up to a top speed of 355 Km/h (221 Mph).

Still four wheel drive like the Aventador and the Veneno before, a single clutch, ultra-fast ISR gearbox inside a race style chassis and suspension setup offers an amazing experience behind the steering wheels of what Lamborghini calls their ‘street legal racing prototype’.

Interior & Exterior

The entire styling of the Lamborghini Veneno was already reminiscent of a LeMans race car, and nothing of this animal style Racing Bull was lost converting it into a Roadster, the rear fenders still have a black seperation that still references racing while the massive rear wing, which is totally adjustable is a result of experience gained on the track even the impressive air intake on the roof of the Veneno has been transplanted onto the Roadster design.

These first shots show the Roadster in the new Rosso Veneno shade that has been mixed specifically for this model, it looks like the shade used on the one of a kind Aventador J back in 2012 but it seems to have even more metallic flakes in it, making it shimmer in direct sunlight much like the Giallo Maggio shade on the Aventador LP720-4 50th Anniversary edition each of the nice customers will however be able to specify his own personal paint finish on his, or her Lamborghini Veneno Roadster.

From the side we can clearly see the side windows are cut down versions of the regular units in fact the clear carbon fiber roll over sections behind the two seats look similar to the ones used on the Aventador J and the Veneno Roadster has one more thing in common with this unique ‘Jota’ there is no roof available. That’s right, the Veneno Roadster doesn’t come with any kind of roof option I guess you’ll be wearing a helmet instead.

The wheels on the Veneno Roadster offer the same ‘turbine’ style as the ones on the original Veneno, no need to change something that works I guess, they are bespoke to the Veneno series anyway, so why not put them on nine more units.

Thanks to a monocoque in carbon-fiber reinforced polymer and exterior panels made from CFRP the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster comes in with a dry weight of only 1490kg, that is 40kg lighter than the closed Veneno and a massive 235 kg loss of weight compared to an Aventador Roadster this should result in some serious difference in performance between the two open top Raging Bull. To keep it all safe the Veneno Roadster offers various safety systems from airbags through to the modified ESP handling system.

Inside the Veneno Roadster we get two seats made from the patented Forged Composite material, with their backs finished in bright red the fronts get covered in another Lamborghini patented material Carbon Skin, which is also mounted on various other parts of the interior, however most of the visible parts inside are showing their carbon fiber weave the central console again houses three switches covered with the Italian TriColore shades just like inside the original Veneno.

If our information is correct there are still a few units of the nine Veneno Roadster available so don’t wait too long and get your order for this brand new, 3,300,000 Euro hyper exotic on the books.

The first one to show a complete modification on the latest V12 was Mansory who managed to show the full package, both exterior and interior, at the 2012 Geneva Auto Show … but the list of tuners trying their hand on the Aventador quickly grew … and keeps growing, DMC first created their Molto Veloce kit later followed by a very impressive looking, limited edition SV evolution that would only be built 10 times, Oakley Design made a lot of turbulence by offering a rear wheel drive only Aventador and even a Spyder version ahead of the official Roadster from the factory, but I’ve never seen the Oakley Aventador LP760-2 Spyder in real life to be honest.

Mansory kept developing their product for the Aventador and came up with the LP1250 Carbonado edition while other well known tuners like Novitec, Hamann and LB-Performance have joined the ranks of the Aventador too … and now there is yet another new player on the market … Attivo Designs based in Canada just unveiled their first modified Aventador … as the Project Inizio, sadly it wasn’t completely finished at the premiere, but more on that later.

In fact the CEO of Attivo Designs Robbie Dickson owned a bright orange metallic Aventador LP700-4, and as an avid car enthusiast he takes his Bull onto the track from time to time (Robbie also owns a Gallardo by the way) … during an event called ‘Race the Base’ back in September 2012 Robbie raced his Aventador over a 3.5km runway reaching 220 Mph … before he ran out of tarmac … overshot the final turn in the process.

That would be the moment Robbie decided to use his engineering background (he actually worked at Rolls Royce in the UK earlier) to create an ‘air brake’ … something we’ve already seen on the Bugatti Veyron before, but he didn’t just want to add a massive piece of carbon fiber in a vertical position to his Aventador … it had to look good … and work at the same time.

To make sure his idea would blend in with the design of the Aventador Robbie teamed up with Lewis Fan and Michael Wong from MW Design Technik to create the Attivo Designs Project Inizio … using his own Aventador as the initial production prototype.

It would take a while to get it all made … inspired by the F22 Raptor, Attivo Designs put together a new aerodynamic package that would be unveiled at an early September 2013 Luxury Supercar Weekend in Vancouver, but both the innovative rear wing / air brake and the rear diffuser weren’t installed yet.

The first difference you’ll notice is the additional spoiler under the front bumper … now we’ve seen an almost identical ‘lip’ like this from DMC as part of their well-known Molto Veloce kit, of which nearly 40 units have been installed on Aventador from all over the world already, so the DMC MV is a success … the Attivo Designs unit on the other hand shows a small vertical fin on the corner, probably inspired by the Aventador J front. The same idea was extended onto the side sills … a thin horizontal carbon fiber unit which on this Project Inizio Aventador receives a backward angled vertical fin just ahead of the rear wheels to make it look different from other famous tuners.

From the teaser shots published by Attivo Design ahead of the Luxury Supercar Weekend it is obvious the car wasn’t finished in time … there should still be a rear diffuser added and more importantly the rear wing … which will double as the air brake Robbie wanted in the first place.

When the Project Inizio rear wing is finished it should raise to a 55 degree angle when the brakes are applied at speeds over 80 Mph … resulting in a 0.7G deceleration force due to the size and shape of the rear wing. Actually raising the large rear wing into the air is done by two linear motion control actuators in less than a second … I sure hope it isn’t ripped from the rear when you hit the brakes at 200 Mph … that would really become a costly repair.

I guess when the Project Inizio will be completely finished it could look great, even on an original Arancio Argos shade Aventador like the one Robbie owned … but that just wasn’t good enough to make people really notice the first Aventador tuned by Attivo Designs … so they asked Wrap Workz to mount an intricate design using different 3M materials to create a look that would be heavily inspired by the F22 Raptor fighter jet.

In the end Wrap Workz mixed 3M Matte Silver, 3M Titanium, 3M Matte Black and 3M Translucent vinyl to create an Aventador like we’ve never seen before … while the exterior wrap already looked awesome as it was Wrap Workz took it to a totally new level by installing orange window tint … even on the windshield … this detail completely transformed the Project Inizio Aventador into an Egoista style hyper car.

Naturally with looks like this you just can’t keep the factory original wheels, so Attivo Designs turned to ADV.1 and had massive ADV5.1 Deep Track Spec wheels installed, 9×20 inch up front and 13×21 inch at the rear with Pirelli P-Zero Nero tires in 255-30 ZR 20 and 355-25 ZR 21 respectively … add the prototype titanium exhaust system with nickel and orange tip and the result is totally predictable.

I for one can’t wait for the finished rear wing from Attivo Designs to be shown … preferably in action, I’m sure it could be very interesting to see how it turned out … and if it works as it should without putting too much strain on the rear section of the Aventador.

Seeing the Hamann Nervudo at the 2013 IAA in Frankfurt did come as a total surprise, there had been no press release or any teasers beforehand … it just appeared in Frankfurt to take center stage at the Hamann booth … I talked to one of the guys at the stand and he confirmed the car was ready only hours before it had to be put on the stand … you can’t just drive a car onto your booth at the IAA when the doors are already open to the public or the press.

Hamann Motorsport did put together a quick press release just in time to post on their website … there was nothing available in print about the Nervudo for Aventador, they didn’t even had time to do a studio shoot to produce press photos … their website didn’t even show the Hamann Nervudo until two days after the IAA opened … and even now they only show a few photos taken right at the stand in Frankfurt … which all shows the car was indeed a ‘just in time’ delivery.

I for one actually like the large air intake Hamann installed on the engine cover, it reminds me of the very limited edition Lamborghini Veneno in fact … I would have left out the glass louvers but that’s personal taste naturally. While being at the rear of the Nervudo let’s take a look at the large rear wing installed on struts that allow the angle of the wing to be adjusted … for those who want more or less down force at high speed.

Going further down at the rear you’ll notice a new lower diffuser with additional vertical fins, on this car finished in a combination of grey metallic and orange metallic paint … but just about all parts of the Hamann Nervudo kit are made from carbon fiber, so they can be clear coated too which creates a totally different look naturally.

Swinging to the side you’ll encounter a completely new side sill, a bit wider than the original Aventador unit this Hamann part optimizes aerodynamics and offers a stabilized airflow … both on the sides and underneath the Raging Bull … the slightly wider stance of these side sills did require a thin vertical addition to be mounted just behind the front wheels, to make it all flow into each other nicely.

Up front the original bumper is completely replaced by a Hamann Nervudo unit, which houses two additional air intakes on the top but also a more aggressive, further forward design towards the lower intakes that receive a large fin on the sides to push even more fresh air into the vents … a lower lip is added under the bumper to further increase down force on the front wheels … to balance out the additional down force generated by the rear wing.

On the side the large air intake behind the doors are also adorned by a larger fin while the adjustable intakes behind the side windows get an extra, more aggressive looking fin too … taking all these add-ons into the equation you’ll have to admit the Hamann Nervudo sure looks different from the factory standard Lamborghini Aventador … if everybody likes the design is another question … but individuality is very important in this market.

Hamann Motorsport, located in Laupheim, Germany is well known for their special wheel design … and this is reflected on the new Nervudo too … the car at the IAA showed a stunning wheel finished in matte black with a color coded, bright orange metallic rim. In fact this wheel is in fact a forged multi part unit to deliver the lowest possible weight … called the Hamann Professional.

In case of the Nervudo we are talking about a 9×20 inch up front with 255/30ZR20 high performance tires and wide 13×21 inch wheels wearing 355/25ZR21 rubber at the rear axle … fitting any larger or wider would be a problem in fact, but these fit like a glove on the bright orange Hamann Nervudo at the IAA.

To make the Hamann Nervudo sound as impressive as she looks the Swabian tuner developed a new sports muffler for the Aventador exhaust system … the engine note is already extraordinary, but still Hamann has an optional ‘Race Version’ in the pipeline … that will ‘backfire’ too.

Installing a different exhaust system is one way to liberate a few extra hp from the already potent V12 engine, still Hamann completely reprogrammed the ECU to increase power output from 700 to 760hp (559 kW) with an equally impressive boost in torque from 690 to 735 Newton meters.

With the Nervudo for Aventador Hamann Motorsport is back in full swing when it comes to tuning Lamborghini super cars, remember the Victory based on the Gallardo … that was one impressive, wide body Bull too … wouldn’t it be nice to have a Nervudo wide body too?

And they burst through to the top of the performance scheme by offering a Bi-Compressor engine tuning that could boost power right up to 1000hp/736kW … that has been Underground Racing Twin Turbo territory until now, however Novitec Torado also offers a more subtle engine modification in four different stages running from 722hp up to 748hp by installing a different exhaust system (optionally available in INCONEL and with remote control flap adjustment) … but the big boy option remains the Novitec Bi-Kompressor (L1 111 01) that includes two large superchargers with custom turbine blades, separated oil-circuit, modified induction, water-cooled intercoolers with additional extra-large watercoolers, pumps, reinforced v-ripped belts, injectors, high-performance fuel pumps and finally custom programmed ECU.

We all know you need a special exhaust system to really liberate the power into the surroundings, the amazing sound is a nice extra I guess, so Novitec Torado has a few options listed for the discerning Aventador owner: you can go for a stainless steel system optimized for power without flap control (sheds 13kg compared to the regular exhaust), or the same exhaust with flap control (changes the sound too by the way) that is about 14kg lighter … top of the line is the new Race Exhaust, which in stainless steel version is 20kg lighter … but all of these exhaust systems are also available in Formula One derived INCONEL which is even lighter. Going all the way would involve replacing the standard catalysts with either the Novitec Sport Metal catalysts (5kg lighter) or taking your Aventador into the next level by using ‘Cat-replacement’ pipes that drop 7kg … but can only be used in combination with one of the aforementioned Novitec exhaust systems.

Some raw figures perhaps: power output with the Bi-Kompressor kit has been measured at 969hp (713 kW) at 8,300rpm with a boost setting of 0.47 bar, this results in a maximum torque output of 912 Nm at 6,600rpm and an acceleration from 0 to 100Km/h in only 2.8 seconds while the 200Km/h marker is reached after a mere 7.4 seconds. (regular Aventador LP700-4 figures are 700hp at 8,250rpm, 690 Nm at 5,500rpm and 0 to 100Km/h in 2.9 seconds)

Those are some impressive figures, but most of the time onlookers will not be able to tell just how fast this Aventador is, nor will you be able to fully enjoy the extra power on the open road with all the speed restrictions and legislation preventing you from having some fun … so it comes down to creating a look that goes with a 1,000hp Raging Bull … and the designers from Novitec Torado didn’t drop the penny here, their aerodynamic add-ons and custom wheels are just … stupendously beautiful.

Wheels are Novitec exclusive NL1 3-piece forged units, 9×20 inch up front and 13×21 inch at the back, naturally wearing Italian designer tires in the form of the well-known Pirelli P-Zero ones, 255/30 R30 and 355/25 R21 respectively. As these are multi-piece rims you can order them in various finishes like either a silver or a black central spider with a highly polished chrome lip, or have both the center and the lip painted in contrasting, color coded shades … the one I would go for would be a titanium center with a clear carbon fiber coated lip.

Keeping these wide tires in contact with the road at all times has to be a priority on a car like the Lamborghini Aventador, even more so when you add about 300hp on top of the standard engine, Lamborghini already covered this with their horizontal spring mounting taken from the race track, but Novitec still offers some modifications. You can opt to replace the factory springs with a set of Novitec Sport Springs that will lower this Bull about 30mm or go for the top of the line KW Aluminum coil over suspension including dual adjustable aluminum shock absorbers with separated expansion reservoir on the damper housing, compression and rebound is adjustable both for the front and the rear.

Still what most people will see are the various aerodynamic parts that are available from Novitec Torado for the Aventador LP700-4 like the front spoiler lip in two parts, a right and a left section that extends the original bumper further forward thus increasing negative lift, add the central section too so it completes the look at the front. I’ve seen several different side sills from other tuners but I have to admit these new Novitec Torado side panels are something special, they look like they have integrated air vents, but apart from the first one at the front the others are for show only apparently.

Now the really good stuff comes around … Novitec Torado has a completely new front hood with integrated air intakes and vents available, in a stunning triangular design that reminds us of the vents seen on the Sesto Elemento … and it can be ordered in clear carbon fiber finish too just like the dual roof air intakes also available … I’ve been dreaming about this ever since 2011, Diablo SV air intakes but in a more modern design, actually made it in 1/18 once and they looked similar to these Novitec units.

A tuning package just isn’t complete without a rear wing, and once again Novitec Torado takes a different path then other tuners out there, most of the rear wings for the Lamborghini Aventador have some relation to the Murciélago Super Veloce unit, beautiful as it might be the Novitec Torado rear wing follows the design of the rear section but stands on two ‘angled’ struts which create a really special look, and to make it even more interesting you can opt for a ‘double rear wing’ which adds a section on top of the basic Novitec Torado wing to create a ‘tunnel’ that support negative lift.

On the lower section of the rear Novitec Torado can install a new diffuser, now I’ve seen that before, but this is new … Novitec also offers optional fins to be mounted underneath this diffuser that make the rear look even more aggressive … especially being finished in clear carbon fiber like all the other parts in the Novitec Torado exterior tuning package, you can either paint these parts color coded to the car or in a contrasting shade … or just go for a visible carbon fiber look.

The same carbon fiber finish can be applied to the air vents in front of the windshield, the intakes behind the side windows, the air intakes in the front bumper and air vents in the rear section … these latter two are also modified by Novitec to allow a better airflow … that’s also why there is a new ‘fin’ to be mounted on the large side air intake and you can install a different outlet on the engine cover … all to have improved ventilation on the Novitec Torado Aventador … the final touch are the two carbon fiber covers that go onto the top section of the exterior rear view mirrors.

This covers the engine tuning, suspension modifications and the exterior view of the Novitec Torado, but as an owner you’ll be spending some serious inside the car behind the steering wheel … and you can have the cockpit fully customized by Novitec Torado too. How about having those grey sections on the steering wheel finished in clear carbon fiber, just like the dashboard pod surround, the shift levers behind the steering wheel, the central console, the armrest, the cover for the storage compartment, the door handles and even the upper section of the door panel and the door sills … all available in clear carbon fiber. Still not satisfied … no problem, Novitec Torado offers a totally custom made interior where the sky is the limit.

Just in case you might get bored with the sound of that amazing V12 engine behind you Novitec Torado has asked Revox to develop an exclusive sound system for the Aventador like no other, REVOX of Switzerland based it on their on REVOX’s extensive experience producing high end equipment for recording studios and their philosophy that whatever the function, whatever the technology, anything is possible.

Inside the Shanghai show car featured a beautiful combination of black and yellow leather with many parts of the dashboard covered in clear carbon fiber, also the handles on the doors received a carbon fiber touch still the most impressive item in the cockpit just has to be the magnificent Q-Citura stitching which isn’t available on the regular Aventador version by the way.

One of the most often heard remarks was the fact this special edition really could use a rear wing to go with the more aggressive styling, however as far as I know this isn’t an option at this moment, I guess if demand is high enough Lamborghini will put something on the price list talking about pricing, the MY2014 Lamborghini Aventador LP720-4 has an MSRP of US$ 497,650 which happens to be a $100,150 premium over the standard Aventador LP700-4.

Production is limited to only 100 units, and in case you are wondering the Aventador LP720-4 50th Anniversary can be ordered through the Ad Personam program that allows you to opt for just about any exterior shade possible but things recently got even better.

After the Grande Giro from Milan to Bologna on May 7 to 11 the participants were invited to a Gala Dinner at the factory on Saturday they were welcomed by a bright yellow Aventador LP720-4 50th Anniversary and a white Gallardo LP560-2 50th Anniversary edition but in-between these two a nice surprise was shown an Aventador LP720-4 Roadster edition, finished in an amazing looking matte grey shade that could be called Grigio Titans over the Terra Emilia leather interior a very, very nice combination.

Note the Grigio Titans is not really the same shade as used on the Lamborghini Reventon or the Reventon Roadster, once again Automobili Lamborghini SpA had a special hue mixed up for this new limited edition celebration model on the dashboard we can admire the 50° Anniversario logo with ‘Serie Speciale 00/100’ engraved, so most likely Lamborghini will be building 100 units of the LP720-4 and another 100 units of the LP720-4 Roadster edition that combines to 200 50th Anniversary V12 units.

I did notice the black side sills seen on the Giallo Maggio closed Coupé version didn’t get mounted on the matte grey Roadster, if this is only due to the fact it wouldn’t be too noticeable on this dark shade anyway, or it is a way to differentiate between the two models isn’t sure, there is no official press release on the Anniversary Roadster at this moment.

In case you are interested the Lamborghini Aventador LP720-4 Roadster is listed at US$ 548,000 a hefty premium of $150,500 over the standard Aventador LP700-4 and $106,300 more than the Aventador LP700-4 Roadster still this Anniversary edition will always be a numbered, limited edition so it will not depreciate as quickly as the regular models.

If you take a look at the Grande Giro organized for the 50th Anniversary of the factory you will see that for most Lamborghini owners money isn’t a problem, the number of Gallardo and Aventador cars that participated is mindblowing … in fact nearly 15,000 Gallardo have left the factory doors in Sant’Agata over the last ten years while over 1,500 Aventador have already been built … with production numbers like that it isn’t too far fetched to encounter a Lamborghini on the open road that looks exactly like the one you own … so time to make it look different.

And this is where UK based Kahn Design comes into the picture if you are looking to set your Aventador apart from the factory cars without going to the extend of installing additional rear wings and spoilers up front … Kahn Design creates bespoke cars for their clients without changing the lines of this Lamborghini flagship.

The philosophy of the Lamborghini Aventador is still the same as 40 years ago when the Countach was unveiled and this basis remained in the Diablo and Murciélago after that … a big V12 engine with massive power output in a low and wide super car with menacing looks … some things never change.

The first thing many companies out there do is fit new wheels onto the Lamborghini Aventador, a relatively low cost solution to create a different look … sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worst … Kahn Design decided to install larger wheels on their Rosso Red Aventador project, 9×20 inch up front and 13×21 inch at the rear, note these are the same dimensions as the optional Dione wheels from Lamborghini.

Kahn Design calls their new wheels ‘Santagata’ and they can be ordered in Hyper Silver or Liquid Silver, either a bright silver metallic finish or a more titanium like darker silver … which doesn’t look too bad I have to admit. Also note the original center crests can be transferred onto these Kahn wheels, so the Raging Bull fits onto them.

Taking into account the dimensions of these Kahn Santagata wheels are the same as the Lamborghini Dione wheels I would make an educated guess the Pirelli tires are fitted in 255/20ZR20 and 335/25ZR21 at the front and rear … impressive widths that offer tremendous road holding capabilities.

Fitting a set of custom wheel onto a Lamborghini might not impress us anymore … but Kahn Design did take this red Aventador onto a different level when it comes to the interior … the entire upholstery of the seats, central console and even steering wheel has been customized by Kahn Design.

Just like Mansory did with their Aventador LP1250, Kahn Design has changed the stitching pattern on the seats and steering wheel. The seats have been removed from the car and the original leather taken off, after that Kahn Design created a totally bespoke pattern on the seat and the backrest using ultra soft black leather combined with white stitching … also note the base of the seats get covered in reversed leather.

The same reversed leather is used on the steering wheel, the central console and the dashboard pod, all using the same white stitching to make a difference … but not make it too obvious … this is tuning and customizing to create a one of a kind Aventador without making it shout too loud.

Only 100 of these brand new styled Aventador will be available, all showing a very nice albeit aggressive styling up front finished in matte black, the side sills get the same dark treatment while the entire rear section has been replaced with a new design that boasts some serious influences from both the Aventador J and the recently unveiled Veneno.

Just look through that center ‘honeycomb’ grill and you’ll notice an almost identical cross member with triangular openings as the one used on the Veneno and it looks right at home on this yellow Aventador too this specific shade is called Giallo Maggio by the way, May Yellow selected to honor the fact Automobili Lamborghini SpA was founded in May 1963 and the shade which has adorned most of the Raging Bulls that left the factory since the Miura.

Apparently yellow has been the most popular color on a Lamborghini since 1963, you might expect red, white or more recently grey and black, but Giallo took the crown, so it was the obvious choice for the ’50th Celebration’ model for 2013.

Each of these Aventador LP720-4 will receive a beautiful Forged Composite® badge showing the stylish ’50’ script and a serial number that further emphasizes the fact this is a new milestone in the production of the Aventador, a carbon fiber monocoque model with a powerful V12 engine which in case of this LP720-4 has been uprated a little to deliver 720hp (20 more than the standard Aventador LP700-4) driving all four wheels (hence the -4 denomination) this power increase has been achieved by using a new engine calibration.

The well-known ISR transmission is still present on the Aventador LP720-4 Anniversary edition and thanks to stupendously fast gear shifting this new evolution of the V12 flagship can reach 100Km/h from a standstill in 2.9 seconds and runs all the way up to 350Km/h before the Bull settles down.

The new front and rear design on the Aventador LP720-4 50° Anniversary isn’t looks only, in fact the entire front splitter has been enlarged and extended to offer better handling at high speeds, the small upright fins on the sides do increase stability at speed too while drag characteristics haven’t been impacted actually this new design results in a 50% increase of the aerodynamic efficiency over the standard Aventador LP700-4.

At the rear the very impressive mesh and matte black sections of the fascia all serve one purpose better engine cooling, and great looks are a very nice plus by the way. Also note the side sections just behind the rear wheels show a new design too, which happens to remind me of the Veneno again and this is also the spot for that nice 50th Anniversary badge which will also be installed in every Lamborghini model built during 2013 by the way.

The yellow shade has been developed specifically for this Anniversary model, it is in fact a pearl metallic yellow shade that might look like the Giallo Tenerife seen on the New Gallardo LP560-4 in Paris last year, but it is not the same shade. In fact the Giallo Maggio is a new shade with additional metallic flake in the top coat the Aventador LP720-4 really ‘sparkles’ in bright sunlight. Add to this the matte black section on the front, side and rear in combination with high gloss black wheels and you have a very impressive overall look. Still if you don’t like this shade you can have the Ad Personam program finish your very own LP720-4 in just about any shade imaginable.

Inside the Aventador LP720-4 we find a new leather that has been developed specifically for this model, very fine, natural semi-aniline that went through a special tanning process to get the right grain look and still be as smooth as possible. The base shade for the interior is Nero Ade (black) in combination with a very nice, warm Terra Emilia brown shade as an option you can have the Giallo Querces seen on the press photos both shades offer the stunning looking Q-Citura stitching on the center parts of the seats, the door panels and the headliner.

At the Shanghai Motor Show Lamborghini is also showing a Gallardo LP560-2 50° Anniversario model, based on the successful V10 engine but offering rear wheel drive only this anniversary model is boasting a nice Bianco Opalis, sparkling white and gets a carbon fiber rear wing taken from the Superleggera model complete with the glass engine cover.

But time has come to take the next step into the Raging Bull tuning scene … the Aventador, many companies already have aesthetic modifications for the current V12 flagship model, some even have engine tuning available … so this market niche is getting crowded already … still the concept render we could admire earlier was only an indication of what LB Performance was building … a few ‘spy shots’ were found online while LB Performance was preparing an unveil at the 2013 Tokyo Auto Show … the TAS.

Most of the Lamborghinis tuned by LB Performance in the past got really close to the ground thanks to an air ride suspension … and from the looks of this Aventador it won’t escape the ‘low rider’ treatment either … I wouldn’t install it on my own Bull to be honest, but I do admire it on these LB Performance specials … it is all a matter of taste anyway … and you didn’t buy your first Lamborghini for practical reasons either …but straight from the heart.

LB Performance knows their business, and while one of their latest creations is a wild, wide body Murciélago, on the Aventador they have toned things down a bit. For starters the wheels … no massively deep lips nor strange designs … not even a wild paint scheme … instead one of the most classic wheel designs is used, the initial render showed traditional cross spoke wheel, albeit with a deep concave curve at the rear and finished in fashionable black … but the actual car would receive a different style wheel, still black however … the LB Performance kit makes Aventador look at least a decade ahead of anything else on the open road.

From the early image it looked like LB Performance wouldn’t be mounting an additional rear wing on their Aventador, instead the original wing got a clear carbon fiber finish, as do the adjustable air intakes above the wheels and that air outlet just in front of the rear wheels. Still when the preparation images leaked we were happy to see a beautiful angular styled rear wing in style with the one LB Performance also used on their Murciélago, so this latest Bull also goes through life with an additional aerofoil at the back.

Again the initial plans showed a glossy, clear carbon fiber roof … but the window sills kept the same shade as the bodywork, something most tuners also turn into black or carbon fiber … on the other hand the rear view mirrors do get a carbon fiber dress … however once the first actual car got unveiled things looked a bit different to say the least.

Instead of the classic white finish shown on the initial render LB Performance decided to take a known route and wrap their Aventador in a brushed aluminum look, like we’ve seen on their first wide body Murciélago. Now things really start to get interesting, it looks like the entire front bumper is replaced by an LB Performance unit, the render showed air vents on the side but these didn’t make it into production yet, the Aventador J styling did … at first glance. Just take a closer look at the front … the front air intakes are actually much larger compared to the original bumper, also the black surrounds are gone, so the LB Performance intakes now get a full grille to avoid debris damaging the radiators.

And while there are ‘fins’ going upward that might look similar to the Aventador J front … on this LB Performance bumper these fins aren’t floating … they actually attach completely to the front bumper which looks absolutely stunning and is totally innovative … way to go LB Performance.

Underneath this already beautiful new front bumper it looks like LB Performance will be offering an additional diffuser with small fins on the sides … a styling that returns on the new side sills too. From this render it doesn’t seem like the entire side sill is replaced, only the inset from the air outlet behind the front wheel gets painted black or receives some clear carbon fiber. But the trick is in the end … just ahead of the rear wheels we see a fin going upward, emerging from an additional side sill underneath the original one, most likely available in carbon fiber too.

So instead of copying the Aventador J style LB Performance took a close look at it and made an exclusive design … totally different, but still looking like something that could be factory original. We all know the Aventador has a highly developed air flow around it, and in fact a rear wing isn’t needed per se … the bodywork and under tray create enough down force on their own, while the standard rear wing is adjustable, so there is no real need for a massive, additional rear wing … but it does look cool anyway.

We finally saw the LB Performance Aventador at the 2013 Tokyo Auto Show, finished in an impressive brushed alloy look combined with matte black sections, some decals and glossy black wheels from iForged in massive 9×20 inch up front and even larger 13×21 inch at the back, wearing 255/30 ZR20 and 355/25 ZR21 Pirelli PZero Rosso tyres respectively.

The complete LB Performance Aventador body kit consists of a new front and rear bumper, front canards, new side skirts that lead to a modified rear diffuser and naturally that amazing rear wing mounted on some of the most beautiful struts I’ve ever seen. Note the ‘howl’ of this Raging Bull has been modified by installing a J-Wolf exhaust system that features adjustable, electronic valves, add to this the by now famous Liberty Walk low-down suspension and you end up with an amazing looking Aventador … where Italian style meets Japanese personalization.

Today the first official press photos of this top of the line open top V12 super car have been released, no more black tape, no more hastily captured shots using a long lens today we can admire the beauty of this Raging Bull to the fullest.

We wouldn’t be talking about a Lamborghini Roadster if the market wasn’t ready for it I guess, but with several firm orders already in the books the unveil of the Aventador Roadster was only a matter of time, and now, just ahead of the Los Angeles Motor Show at the end of November, this amazing looking Bull is unveiled to the public.

Lamborghini took things seriously on this one, they mixed a specific shade for the Aventador Roadster: Azzuro Thetis which happens to be a very light blue metallic hue that brings back the memory of the one and only Miura Roadster, this latter had a white leather interior with red carpet while the latest V12 Roadster receives a more tan like shade called Sabbia Nefertem.

Naturally the most eye catching feature on the Aventador LP700-4 Roadster is the fact you get a removable roof made from two sections of carbon fiber, being lightweight and easy to handle was a prerequisite right from the start, in fact the roof can be taken away in mere seconds and stored up front in the luggage compartment leaving the driver and passenger with all the pleasure of open top driving.

Also note the rear window can be kept ‘up’ for a nice and calm drive without too much wind getting into the interior as a reflector mounted on top of the windshield frame deflect the air at speed, however should you prefer to hear the symphony of those 12 cylinders behind you it is possible to lower this small window and listen to all that music in the back.

As we’ve been able to see on the latest spy shots the engine cover on the Aventador Roadster has been modified, a central section ‘cuts’ from front to back with a pair of glass sections on both side to allow fans to admire that 6.5 Liter V12 engine underneath, from the initial photos on the production model it seems the engine cover is hinged at the front and not at the back like on the Murciélago Roadster.

A two tone bodywork sets the Roadster further apart from the Aventador Coupé model, the windshield surround is finished in glossy black, the roof section just behind the occupants also receives this black glossy treatment and finally the rear window support joins the ‘black’ club the two roof panels on this press release Aventador Roadster are finished in clear carbon fiber I think it would be a nice option to have the glossy black parts finished in the same clear carbon fiber.

Underpinnings of the Aventador Roadster look similar to the closed version, power from the 6.5 Liter V12 engine is still 700hp delivering a staggering acceleration from a standstill to 100 Km/h in 3 seconds flat while the rush will come to an end towards the 350 Km/h mark not bad for an open top car I guess.

The Aventador LP700-4 Roadster comes with the same 2013 specifications as the Coupé version: the start/stop system is there to lower emissions while a few of the 12 cylinders can be put asleep for a while when you don’t need all those 700 horses to be awake or should that be 700 Bulls.

Finally the Roadster rolls on the beautiful Dione wheels, 20 inch up front and even larger 21 inch at the back and can be ordered for the nice sum of 300,000 Euro that is without taxes mind you I can hardly wait for some of the wild color schemes this Aventador Roadster will be ordered, it looks very nice in this light bleu metallic shade, but I think some of the more eccentric shades could make it look even better.

At this moment we haven’t seen any photos showing the roof section in detail, but in the meantime Oakley Design didn’t stop creating another highly tuned Lamborghini, working together with Refined Marques they came up with the Aventador LP760-4 Dragon Edition … and the first of the limited production run of only 10 units has just been shown to the public.

This specific LP760-4 Dragon Edition was originally matte black, but today it features a rather special chrome wrap in a bright aqua blue shade that contrasts nicely with the clear carbon fiber parts Oakley design mounted on top of those black HRE wheels. Every part on the original Aventador air intakes that was black has been changed to clear carbon fiber, up front we see the extended intakes and the spoiler lip in the center, naturally all in clear carbon fiber, just like the impressive rear wing installed.

But Oakley didn’t stop there, take a closer look at the roof and air intakes behind the side windows … all glossy carbon fiber too, just like those rear view mirrors and the custom made door sills, showing the Dragon Edition serial number … attention to detail is very important here, the serial number plaque is even mounted in the completely ‘carbonized’ engine bay that now houses a V12 pumping out 760 hp, do note the Dragon Edition retains the four wheel drive and isn’t converted to rear wheel drive only.

Inside we notice several upgraded parts and special stitching … most importantly a nice red dragon on the door panels … hence the Dragon Edition naturally.

I can imagine this special blue chrome will not appeal to every customer, but remember this car was matte black to start with, and on that dark shade those orange brake calipers look really nice … somehow they don’t right fit into the blue scheme however … but that’s up to the owner, I’m sure he (or she) can order just about any shade on those calipers … for a price.
